[Music] welcome back to Bray birs DFS one of the best places for PGA NFL MLB and NBA news and of course DFS if you don’t know by now I’m Walt if you haven’t already please like And subscribe to my Channel all right so welcome to my round three Showdown analysis for the RBC Canadian open we can go to my round three checklist we can see the things we’re going to discuss during the show the first thing we’re going to talk about is the morning wave weather Edge so uh in a second I’ll pull that up and we’ll I’ll give you some of the players that I like that are going out in the morning next we’ll look at some top level stats so some of these Stacks are kind of very basic but I think sometimes we overthink things when it comes to the statistics that we use for Showdown then we’re going to look at some Strokes gain stats and then it’s only one round I mean that’s the thing we got to keep telling oursel this isn’t like the four-day contest and especially on a course like this with a field like this there’re going to be some players that you’ve never heard of they’re going to be players that if they tap you on the shoulder you wouldn’t even know who they are but nonetheless based on the stats that I’m going to give you and what you’re going to get from whatever you know tools you’re using other content creators you can put them in your lineup for just for just one round and then there’s some Game Theory involved because unlike straight up betting what you would do at a casino or a sports book you actually can share a prize if you’re too chalky so got to be a little bit of Game Theory when it comes to DFS and then there’s that luck and gut getting back to what I said at first about us overthinking sometimes when it comes to DFS some of your best wins have been if you’re honest with yourself you really didn’t do all of the the research that you should have and so just some looking good sometimes you’re feeling it and then we’re going to go to some draft King picks and then we’re going to look at some round three studs all right so let’s go for those top level stats so I said I was going to introduce this page because I really think that we kind of need to look at some of just the basic stats that are out there and can see what we can get when it comes to building our round three lineup so for round one the range of scores was between nine overpar and eight underpar and for round two the range of scores was nine overpar to six underpar and the reason why this is important is because I’ll be playing with some of my friends and they’ll think you know and they haven’t been playing PJ DFS as long and they think they they’re having a good round or a bad round because they don’t realize that the Masters is more difficult than the Valero you know the Texas shorts is open or something like that so it’s kind of it’s kind of good to go into round three getting an idea of what you know a good round is so through based on rounding one and round two we know that if you have a player in your lineup that’s approaching the six to eight under par uh we know that that’s obviously a good round but I mean you can have something at the Masters or at the open where it’s more challenging where I mean no one’s going to even sniff six to eight under par so this next stat uh how many players in each round had a score of five underpar or better and so for both round one and round two you had five players who had a score of five under par better so that kind of helps you when you’re trying to you know hand build or you know kind of adjust some of the lineups you may have created from other ways to know that there were only five players in both rounds that had a score of five under par better and it kind of helps you tomorrow because we’ve all been out there we kind of maybe we have a lot of players that went out in the morning and we think that we’re doing well but you know by the time the afternoon ends you’ve either dropped out of the money or you just m cash you’re like what happened well you can know for round three tomorrow that once your player starts approaching you know five underpar they’re kind of getting into the upper echelon that upper that 90th percentile of players so I was also want to look at just something basic as to mode what is the number that showed up the most out of the 150 plus players in round one and round two so for round one even so more players were even than any other score in round one and then the mode for round two a little better more players were one underpar so if you’re out there in round three and your score is around even the one under par just know that you know you’re kind of having an average round and uh it may not be a day where you’re going to bring down the entire gpp so then the medium which is what it sounds like it is the exact score in the middle of all the 150 scores and for round one the median was even but interesting for round two the median was plus one which means that there were a lot of scores kind of tilted towards uh the bottom half that kind of brought the median down a little bit but overall everything the mode and the median hovered around even which makes sense because we know the cut line was at even par all right so let’s get to The Strokes gained uh data and off the T So Aaron Ry three under par Ryan Fox uh 10 underpar Andrew Novak seven underpar Sam Burns six underpar and Tyler Duncan two underpar so these are the top five players off the T so have a good uh shot off the te next thing you got to have that approach and I am surprised Kevin U is at the top as far as approach three under par Ryan Fox 10 underpar are Michael Kim one underpar Zack Blair five underpar a little surprising and Matt Wallace even so here are the five players top five players through the first two rounds when it comes to approach and then how are they doing around the greens and you have Jacob Bridgeman and I can promise you Jacob Bridgeman talk to me right now I wouldn’t know how Jacob Bridgeman looks you have the Lefty McIntyre don’t trust lefties uh you have David skins all the ladies like him you have Tom Kim and you have CT pan so really interesting as far as around the greens and then you have who is doing well as far as putting you have the Canadian man man man oh man that um that Canadian stack a lot of people were doing uh that didn’t work out for for a lot of us but McKenzie Hughes did come through he actually had a monster round then he kind of fluffed a little bit on the back nine but nonetheless as far as putting been the best putter out there he’s right now seven under par you have codyy Pearson who man he is just coming I mean coming into his own these past few weeks uh he’s four under par you have Joel Damon uh eight underpar McIntyre once again 10 underpar and David Hearn at even all right so who are those players that I like from the morning so we can kind of look and I can pull up I can pull up the PGA web page so they put out their uh their tea times for round three and very interesting because there’s because the withdrawal people have withdrawn from the contest and just H the cut line ended up you have mag Meisner going out by himself which can be a pro and a cons you know some some players like that but some players just kind of get too laxed because there’s just no one but it’s going to be interesting he’s going to finish his round like that going out by himself uh so yeah they they push back the start time you know the tea times uh so not as many players as far as a a morning wave edge but some of the players that go out the morning that I like I like mac I like CT pan I like Kevin U I like Kelly craft I like Brandon U I like Taylor pendri does it mean they’re going to do well I don’t know but just based on the statistics that I’ve gone over uh I like those players as far as players that go out in the morning all right so let’s go to DraftKings and we can look at my favorite players in each of the tiers so they’re actually only two players above 10,000 and I got to go with Rory I mean he hasn’t looked amazing uh in this tournament so far but it’s Rory remember what I said about it’s only one round so out of all these players that made the cut you know if your life depended on it you would definitely I think most of us would say Okay Rory I need you to play like real Rory and I think you put the Putter and you’d put the driver definitely in Rory’s hand so we go to the 9000 and I like an Ry he’s doing well off the te uh we can go to Robert McIntyre I mean wow I mean going into round four at you know what was it was it the open or the Masters I mean this guy’s just been this guy’s been playing just really well lately he continued this week what day it was the PGA Championship that’s what it was yeah the PGA Championship yeah he finished you know T8 so yeah really been playing he’s made the cut or just you know didn’t do anything at all so yeah definitely been playing well I like him at 8000 Andrew Novak another player that’s had a you know considering his salaries had a pretty good year three top 10 and made eight out of 13 cuts and then we have Zack Blair who I like because he’s been putting really well he’s been doing well on approach and I think that he’s going to regress to the Mee do even better off the tea and then finally we can go back to my slide and we can look at those players that are good for round three you have the Canadian Taylor pendri you have Brandon woo you have Sam Burns you have M Nate Lashley and man Robert McIntyre keeps popping up on every list so let me know your thoughts if you have any comments leave them but otherwise go out there and win that Guap oh
