all tied at the end of the day at the top of the individual leaderboard and clicks GC leads the team leaderboard all of that and more right here at Club 54 post round show Welcome to Club 54 post round show I’m your host Christian Crosby and joining me is the one and only suan H and our very special guest who had a wonderful day Adrien Moran thank you so much for joining us and welcome to Club 54 baby how you feeling man thank you for having me yeah I’m excited uh it was a good day out there uh for me and for the team so I’m excited to you know to be in a good position I have to say it is quite difficult to be looking at you Adrian because you are so tall and the Sun is right above you so I apologize if I’m squinting uh fantastic round today seven under par both Yi free you started on the 16th you went on four straight pars and then you went on a tear three in a row and then another three in a row later on in round tell us what went well for you to be honest I just played quite solid overall um had a good game plan um just executed it uh was a little bit tricky with Breeze uh at the beginning so uh I was just patient out there and yeah had a good good finish with four birdies in on the last five Halls which is always always helps I know you live in Dubai uh but this heat how did you deal with it today um it’s quite similar to Singapore so same strategy a lot of uh you know water electrolytes you know staying in shade cold towel towels uh yeah I mean you can’t do you can’t do it enough yeah tell me about it while the clicks you guys are finding some form uh in the middle of the Season here you guys are tied for the lead uh you guys are in the lead again what’s been working so well for the clicks what’s happening in the clicks camp that we you can maybe share some insights well we we we’re bonding bonding so it’s it’s great to see I mean uh Martin has been playing some great golf lately which is great to see uh obviously Richard is always solid and and K and I just trying to follow these guys and yeah I mean uh it’s been it’s been nice couple of weeks and I hope we can keep on going and hopefully get some you know trophy soon well we hope so now we have some highlights from your day today are you willing to take us through these highlights we have them on the screen here fans take a look it’s Adrien Moran let’s go baby all right so talk us through your day here let’s see let’s see here we go all right that’s second Hall I think yeah yeah that was a lovely lovely pot little bit uphill what is that F hle yeah and out good pots a lot of solid pots today to be honest yeah that was really really quick all it down how did you find your greens I love them they’re really nice they they rolling nicely a little bit of grain on them but uh yeah it’s it’s really nice yeah that was a good shot uh on 12 I was just pin High left and yeah great kind of Lop shot in there which was great great bonus nice now Adrien as we’re standing here now we like to do this we’re going to have you look at their swing and we want you to judge it okay the more honest you are the better this whole thing goes cuz it’s much more entertaining not too nice all right is that a deal you ready to do this for check you can chime in you know who we’re talking to right it’s Adrian he is the nicest guy here but don’t don’t don’t hold back is what we’re saying all right here we go the fans have submitted some swings here’s our first one Adrian okay he’s not he’s not hitting into trampoline so which is which is good little probably faty I like it it’s it’s quite solid he’s got a little Montgomery ex follow through doesn’t he nice finish High boom what do you think could be better there maybe swing around a little I’m not sure there’s another one uh oh I love this looks like Fireball GC fan what’s your take come on give us something I like it I like it I’m just keep swinging man it’s great to see you know young people getting into the golf so did you start at that age uh kind of yeah I think it was three or four yeah all right here’s our third submission from fans he says definitely could use some help here anything for the fan here I’m a terrible coach he’s aiming way left if I if I’m correct now yeah looks like it very open stance depending on where the target is but judging where the trees are I think he needs to work on the back swing to get a little bit longer maybe a little more rotation go to the gym Maybe here’s our here’s our last one Su you weren’t lying he’s too nice all right here’s our last one from our fan here me catching one on the heel on the boys of golf trip just trying to catch his friends here Qui quick through the ball that looks like he’s playing some lyx golf it’s an interesting one maybe he was trying to keep it low into the wind if you had to coach him what would you tell him face to face on that longer swing you know nice and easy get those hips rotating all right uh let’s talk clicks GC finishing an elite today big day for you guys uh just I would love for you to talk more about the Rapport of you and your teammates well as I said I mean it’s great to see uh Martin playing well uh we’ve been having great time you know me joining this year and Martin has been a great uh Captain to all of us and uh yeah just uh great to see you know team team to do great and hopefully we can can keep going well those for those who didn’t see it let’s take a look at some CS GC highlights Adrian talk your talk this is your moment to talk your boys up here are the highlights take a look and uh tell us your thoughts Adrian here we go a this is kimer this kimer man is he swinging it so good now isn’t he yeah he’s back finding some real form he’s back in it beautiful now you’re you’re going to probably be paired with him tomorrow how are you going to how you going to deal with that I already played with him in Miami uh late earlier on this year and I played pretty well so I’m excited to to play with him yeah especially when he’s on fire as his first bir on the 16th nice Flat Sticks working which is always good is there something we don’t know about kimer that you can maybe share with us o what he like off the golf course he’s uh he jokes a lot you know uh with BL um overall super nice guy probably one of the nicest out there now as a team how did you guys react when Blandy won the PGA senior that was incredible that was incredible I was actually checking the scores throughout the week and I I put the I put the golf on like when he was on 16 I think on Sunday and it was just incredible I mean that was uh great for him to win that and we are super proud of him he deserved well I’m I’m pleased to let you know that he out drove Brooks and Patrick Reed today on the 13th hole it was he’s sneaky long I can tell you I can tell you that he’s sneaky long especially into the wind he can he can out drove me as well I’m and he always gives us about him when he when he h it P us yeah your turn now oh Lenny is great we love him now K this from the bunker he’s a great addition to your team to K yeah yeah I’ve known him for quite a bit we played a lot of a lot of style yeah on the European tour and DP so yeah great guy solid player so yeah the team is nice European European power yeah well what about this golf course suits the clicks so well tough to say I mean you have to hit a lot of solid shots you know um it’s quite open of the tea uh it’s going wide so I think it’s uh you have to hit some good approaches and then hold some good PS uh the rough is a little bit tricky if you if you off a little bit but I think the key is just to you know keep it keep it on the right side of the of the hall well I know you got two more rounds left what’s going to be key to Crossing that finish line on Sunday well nothing nothing changes same strategy you know same same plan just following the process and make as many birdies as possible I think that’s that’s the only plan we have and yeah we’ll just go for it well Adrian before you go any CS fans that are watching right now any last words that you want to say to them before you get out of here I hope there’ll be more conditions what is it about that when when something’s tough just make sure you do what you can do and control what you can control and uh the rest is pretty much history it’ll take care of itself uh speaking of tough what is tough out here is winning especially as a team Stinger GC you guys are due yeah for a win we’re halfway through the season what has that been like have you guys talked about it do you guys feel the additional pressure uh yeah I think so look obviously we’ve had two really close calls in Saudi Arabia and Australia mhm but yeah the four rounds on Sundays definitely made a difference for us we kind of worked out that it was three rounds we probably were one twice already but yeah we want to win one we obviously want to win a lot more than one m and we’d like to win the whole season to be honest so um that’s that’s what what we’re doing everyone’s working pretty hard or as hard as they possibly can you know some Farm some play off but you know we we work as hard as we can I think I kind of know who Farms all right your favorite golf podcast Fairway to Heaven starring Su in hang and Jerry faults take a look at some of the most recent clips from the podcast was it prepping for that show with Jerry fa that’s got to be fun right what prep oh that’s a great you do that at 7 in the morning don’t you yeah I do that at 700 in the morning so you know there no prep man got to love it Mort to come here at Club 54 post round show stick [Music] around as you can see it’s a beautiful day here in Houston Texas a little hot but we love the heat out here joining us Dom Boule so hang sticking around with us here and you guys had a absolute hell of a day I think you’re the only one that likes the heat out here I don’t know about D and I just to be honest with you we’re used to it but you never get used to this well you you guys have been out here all day first of all how was the heat for the two of you you know what we’re like I said we’re both used to it uh Singapore is hot all year round Hong Kong gets hot for 6 Months of the Year it’s even hotter than this so but it’s hard it’s hard it’s it’s grueling you know it’s I want you to feel sorry for me no one will ever feel sorry for you but I actually spoke to Brooks uh on one of the the strolls up to a tea box and he said you know it’s actually not that hot I think it’s the fact that everyone’s had some time off and so it just really feels extra hot um because of that time off yeah I think so butth you followed Patrick Reed today didn’t you so I did how was the support out there for him this being his hometown yeah the crowds were fantastic for Patrick a lot of Home support obviously his was out there a lot of young kids out to watch him it was actually a group of kids apparently his son’s friends or his daughter’s friends that made hats that said PE dog so uh that nickname is going to stick with uh with you know what means Patrick dog like you’re a dog come on Don get what to say man you young guys the stuff dude shall we take a look at some highlights from P dog uh the hometown hero all right let’s take a look Patrick Reed highlight from day one suan Dom take us through it but Su we want to hear from you you were there man he was off to a fantastic start came out hot he birdied his first two holes starting with this one on the first stiffed it now if you’re if you’re going to start in any holes the number one and number two holes are going to be good place to start their birdie opportunities out here on the golf club of Houston this is his second on second nearly jars it yeah so pure he was in control of his entire game today you know I spoke to someone in his camp and they said you know I think one thing about Patrick that’s been missing is he’s really been trying he’s been trying to win and maybe trying too hard and as we know Dom in this game of golf when you try too hard it always works against you and I think his goal this week was to stick to the process was to stick to shot at a time not get to aead of himself he said today though in his post round interview he could have played the par fives better he Bogi the fourth was a bit careless he actually drove it uh his second shot went left into the hazard there so you know he felt like he left some shots out there he felt like it wasn’t his best round but yet shot a five under par so certainly one of the best overall performers on our league yeah every every professional goer feels like at the end of any round whether he shot 59 or 68 he’s left a couple of shots out there that’s just a nature of the game I want to ask both of you about the hometown Advantage is that a thing I mean you guys have experienced it going back home and playing does he have an advantage playing here at home well I I I think so I mean he he told me that uh that last couple of weeks he’s been out here to practice because you know between the PJ championship and the US Open most courses in Texas punch their green so he’s actually been able to just drive 40 minutes to come out here and practice and that certainly is an advantage to me anyway you get more comfortable and you get comfortable on the greens out here but but there are other factors that maybe you know just distract you because you’ve got family and friends who are demanding tickets and well not demanding but asking for tickets and you feel like you’ve got to deliver right so you you’re spending a lot of extra time trying to you know call the the organizers to get more tickets for them uh and there’s just there is more added pressure but the home course advantage in the sense is Patrick Reed grew up on Bermuda grass cuz this is all Bermuda grass here in this part of the world and it makes a difference knowing how to play out of those grasses or that grass especially around the greens uh he’s got such a good short game but knowing the way the ball’s going to come out of this Beuna grass around the greens is a huge Advantage Dom is it as big of a surprise to you as it is for me that he hasn’t won on live yes I mean I mean he he’s a he he is a terrific player one of the hardest workers out here he is I’m as surprised as anybody and to your point maybe he expects it himself self he’s been expecting it for now 2 years and he’s added pressure to his own game and he needs to relax and like we all say take it at a time and don’t try too hard trying too hard in this game hurts your game yeah it is really hard to believe his last win was in 2021 so uh maybe this week is the week for him who knows we’ll see uh now Dom I want you to take us through your day I had to do a double take because I saw Bryson Des Shambo holding the camera filming you as you interviewed I think wacon Neeman at the time yeah what up you seem to have a very special day D take us three day who did you follow throughout the day I follow cam Smith Wacko and uh and of course Bryson and it was the livx members who chose that group and they chose very wisely and yeah here’s that special moment we were talking about I mean literally 10 seconds as as you know our producer was coming to me Bryson grabs the camera that is brilliant that is box office so wait how did this come about he just literally walked up and grabbed the camera quite friendly with Jimmy the cameraman Jimmy and he just grabbed it and Jimmy said okay you take over and I asked him I said were you zooming in and out he goes yeah I was trying a little bit Bren has a great sense of humor by the way when you get to know the guy he really is a playful playful guy he understands you read him from his press conference uh earlier in the week that he he as he gets older he knows he’s actually an Entertainer as all these players are we’re out here to entertain the crowd who pay good money to come and watch them so you you had Bryson Cam and uh wac right take us through your group today yeah uh wo played brilliantly uh he missed a few really good birdie opportunities uh on the 14th it was literally a two two and a half footer he missed a short one on the first his last hole he made a couple of nice P puts but overall I think he might be a little disappointed with his score not so much with the way he hit the ball but you’re supposed to give me an update because he was my pick for this week you know me with phones uh I know I promised you at the top of the show at the pre-show that I would do that but I don’t know how to work these phones quickly enough I know he he he lost in a playoff for the US Open qualifiers how much of this week do you think is him proving that he belongs at the US Open that was my last question to him on on the on after our round and uh yeah he’s he says he was disappointed to be in the sectionals to start with uh and obviously disappointed that he didn’t make it because you know we’ve seen all year that he really wants to play in all the major championships look he’s going to play in three of them this year uh he’s playing the Open Championship which he qualified for when he won the Australian Open at the end of last year uh I believe he will win a major championship one of these days now what what was happening with Cam because I know uh listening to the broadcast uh while I was on the course it sounds like he again the demon of his game the driver haunted him yeah he started off quite well um hit some nice drives hit a on his second hole the third hole which I was surprised every Waco hit a a hybrid Bryson hit an iron off the te and cam pulled his driver out with water on the left and he smoked it down there right in the middle of the Fairway in the narrowest version uh portion of the Fairway but then he just lost it and he was losing it both ways and he was getting frustrated and then in the middle of round he started hit some nice ones again but then he missed a couple on 18 and one his 17th and 18th hole one to the right and one to the left so I’m sure is he on the driving range he wouldn’t surprise me whatso ever if he’s on the driving range right now working on that big stick the guy you followed Walkin Neiman let’s take a look at some of his highlights from day one Dom you know what to do baby take us through it here we go it’s baby yeah baby I like that Dom yeah so this is his opening hole and he hit a nice IR shot in there what a great way to start and he’s just he hits it so long he’s only four or five yards behind Bryson off the t- shots and he shapes it both ways he had his irons dialed in late in the round he started missing a couple of iron shots but uh he’s got so much imagination that’s another one of the questions I asked him in the interviews how do you decide what shot to hit you know do you you know when you stand over the ball and he I just you know I I it’s I see it in my mind especially when you have that many choices in your bag and he is so good with all of them yeah I mean the last t- shot he hit on the first hole you could tell going to hit a low one it literally was this high off the ground carried probably 270 yards and even on these Fairways it rolled out a little bit it he’s to me one of the funnest guys to watch in the game of golf well suan you were with a guy that goes by the name of Brooks Kea uh he looked to come back here to get back to business uh what did you notice about his day today here in Houston Texas in his heat you know he he told me uh uh Tuesday was the first day he kind of did a proper practice session this week he kind of took two weeks off after the PJ Championship to really be uh there for his family his wife uh was at the SI Swimsuit uh event and so he flew there to support her and then they took he took the family to Bahamas to have a nice vacation there he played a little golf to be fair he played a little golf there but nothing serious definitely not tournament form but you know something about Brooks and and I think this is the one thing that great players do they might not be prepped they might not have their best they might not feel their best but they come out here and they still shoot a pretty solid round I mean but you know so you and I played on tour for a few years and it no matter how much time you take off the game you are always thinking about it I mean I don’t go 10 minutes 15 minutes in a day without thinking something about golf it’s just in us you know we love the game so much we’re passionate about it and I’m sure with Brooks it’s the exactly the same thing that was a really nice moment I have to share on the postgame show because don’t see it very often with Brooks uh you know Blandy out drove Brooks and per on the 13th hole and uh Brooks very jokingly said to to you know uh Blandy he’s like enjoy this because it’s not going to happen again and Blandy starts laughing goes look I’m going to take what I can get you know he’s called bring R for a while right now that’s super cool you get to hear stuff like that um we’re gonna talk more about it in just a little bit last month in Singapore Brooks kka became the first live golfer to win four times here’s a look let’s take a look back not a great start to the season for a man who’s performed superbly in the live golf league if you don’t get the results you want there’s no other substitute than hard work so just shut up and and go do the work Brooks ker he doesn’t care where he is in the world I just come to win three straight birdies and he is tied for the lead just building confidence I think that’s one thing Brooks appears to have his mojo back when you find that momentum or that confidence right to a b you this would be for the three stroke lead Unstoppable you know just looks like a giant shedding people you know as he PES ahead if certain players make the run it’s like it’s a big uh oh is seven under today you know the guys that are capable of rattling off 5 six seven in a row Smith is going to make Brook’s earn his title here felt pretty good about it the whole time it was just a matter of going out and doing what I do oh brilliant as pH did you wash your hands holding off the Australian challenge here in Singapore it’s the purposeful stride of a champion that’s baby crew has never seen him live do any better than a tie for 45th yeah it was nice to actually have him there and pretty happy to pull the win there he’s now the first man to win four live Golf League titles well on new stuff yeah coming off that green I see him smile at Jenna and then I get to a hold of him and crew has seen daddy win yeah you happy broke the streak buddy Precious Memories being created here for the Keers something I’ll always remember he won’t remember he was too young but at least I can say I’m won with with him [Music] there and we’re very close to a sunset here in Houston Texas feeling that breeze now and joining us is Jerry fultz Dom is rocking out with us Jerry uh would love to hear your overall Jerry fultz recap of day T we could be here a while for a very short time actually yeah no it was it was what we expected seven under leading the golf tournament I thought we might see some scores a little lower because it is playing soft but it is a challenging golf course we and the wind kicked up a little bit D while you were out there I think it caught a lot of guys by surprise especially on whatever the par yeah everybody coming up 30 uh 30 feet short you got Caleb serat showing what the promise that uh that we have known he’s had and that his amateur resume would have said he would have uh produced um we had Adrien Moran playing the kind of golf that took him to DP World Tour player of the year last year and we had Don Boule moving a competitors’s golf ball out there I knew you going to bring that up how the hell did that happen it was the last hole or their last hole this is the first hole and camhead it left and I walked up there and I saw the ball in the Bermuda rough not sitting particularly well but okay and there was a steak literally 4 one of the Rope Gallery rope got so I thought I’d be nice I’ll you know help out so I kicked the steak and I pulled it out and it was still quite tall the rope and I dropped the steak and it bounced back and landed the Rope landed right on the middle of the ball and the ball sunk down maybe half an inch and I was like should I say anything and I honestly was thinking I wasn’t going to going to say anything and then he came up I said cam you know I apologize and we got the rules official over and actually even when he replaced it it was not in the it was still slightly worse than uh the LIE he originally had but I was so relieved when he hit it to to that tapping distance all right and joining us as you can see the one and only your favorite live golf analyst Jerry fultz wow yeah sure why not what about Dom we all love Dom everybody Dom’s everybody’s fa he’s favorite Dom is my favorite nice Jerry or David or Arlo where’s your blanket Jerry it’s uh you know what I I this is fine out here it was so cold David farity is part Eskimo for crying out loud it’s so cold in there I was he does him and Arlo as well Arlo he doesn’t feel anything yeah we saw that social post of you nice and cozy with that blanket on in the studio yeah I almost fell asleep a couple times but no it was it was great action in day one uh some of the surprising teams clicks being up there again Four Aces finally getting in contention uh to make some kind of yeah of course you got to show it our producer J kersin has to show that yeah it’s a heavy blanket too you look cozy you yeah you look quite comfortable there yeah all I need is remote control and a couple of Beverages and we’d be all right oh boy you got to love that yeah all right now we wouldn’t have an official post round show without tossing over to the very talented Rachel Drummond she had an opportunity to uh catch up with Sergio Garcia let’s take a look at what happened there [Music] [Music] he said I believe um Ripper eight under down in seventh place it is only five shots back at the lead is Sergio rolls that one in for birdie at 13 Eagle excuse me so we actually just had some uh Sergio Garcia highlights there any comment on that before we uh toss over to Rachel who had a chance to catch up with him we had some good highlights there yeah you know Sergio did what he what he does so often and uh he strikes the ball so well and this a great course for him he made some putts today key for Sergio in my mind Dom is keeping the speed up on those makeable putts when they limp to the hole he doesn’t make nearly as many as he should but I think on Bermuda greens it suits his putting style a little bit better because uh you can hit it a little bit firmer especially putting into the grain so and he’s only a couple hours away from home his adopted home of Austin Texas so he’s comfortable on him and he also seems to be a pretty close friends with Justin Timberlake yeah he said yeah he Justin and I have known each other for a while like I don’t you know a lot of stars you are a star I don’t know anybody like that well Rachel covers it all let’s check out Rachel’s time with Sergio Garcia think the he does that now Sergio you have won in four decades you’ve had 36 wins just let that M be a second how good is that I’m pretty happy with it and you know obviously there’s always going to be people that say that I could have done better here or there don’t listen to those people now before we get into your technical G genius I want you to just talk through this quickly okay you’re at a Justin Timberlake concert yeah this talk us through this was last week in uh in Austin yeah obviously uh Justin and I we’ve known each other for a while and my wife and I and a couple of friends we were his guest uh last Saturday in Austin when he was uh performing there it was unbelievable not only I’m I’m so impressed not only about how good of a singer he is but how good of a dancer he is it’s it’s wor you got any moves no breaks uh not not he just with the golf club hopefully with those yeah now I’m a technique girl and we look for you know margins and everything he’s rehearsing here is spot on go on tell everyone at home give him a lesson look he’s a he’s a two handicapp so obviously he knows what he’s doing he loves he loves Golf and uh I think I think he was trying to kind of mimic my you know my lag which is which is quite cool now you just spoke a lag we’re going to get into that now we’re going to get you to hit some shots so I’m going to move out the way and let you take the stage you can you can do JT if you want you can move around JT leg there we go there we go okay Sergio two clubs let’s start there with your warmup so uh obviously do a little bit of a stretch in the locker room and stuff and when I come when I come to the range I don’t really hit many balls uh but uh I do uh 15 20 Swings with two clubs which kind of helps me loosen up a lot uh and then and uh you know when I when I go to one one Club it feels nice and light so you can you can swing it it’s a great tip for everyone at home get the two clubs get that warmup going yeah it’s uh you know it kind of helps you get a rhythm loosen up a little bit how many you done now uh I don’t know that’s about the right amount I I just do whatever I feel but it’s usually I would say just between 15 and 20 perfect everyone try that at home now soia I believe golf is created on great foundations technically you came out on tour when you were 19 your dad is your coach you know let’s go back to then what did he teach you technically well uh my dad my dad is is a little bit like me he’s a very natural kind of player or kind of Coach so you know he’s going to make sure that our alignments are good and grip is good and and and things like that but at the end of the day it’s it’s a lot about what you feel and uh you know it’s not so much about perfect positions on you know it’s like trying to tell John Ram you know to to get parallel you know that doesn’t work so um so that’s where you see you know the the natural ability in my swing now let’s go into feel a little bit you know what sort of feels are you trying to get when you’re on the Range now hit a couple for us yeah I mean obviously I got to I got to try to get you know my my setup ride and and and be nice and squared to what I want to do I was smiling then just to the camera because talk about hitting Bull and divot that last track was ridiculous go on hit another one for us just like that now you know what you’re most famous for is the lag on the down swing is there anything that you help that you know that you’ve done technically that helped you get that no it’s something it’s something that became very natural to me uh mostly because when I was young I was quite short I wasn’t not like that I’m super tall now but but I was I was one of the shortest guys in Spanish national team something like that so the only way for me to to generate distance was to create extra speed and and the way that I that I did that as a youngster was you know obviously with a little bit of an outside outside the line yeah back swing drop it and then generate that that lag that would give me speed now I think that’s a very good tip for everyone at home actually taking the club you know outside on plane and then allowing it to shallow that is such a good tip for everyone at home now you promised me final question final shot you’re going to hit a driver off deck okay we saw it on the course yesterday you and you’re going to have to hit it out of the divot okay oh I’ll get your driver beautiful beautiful we don’t make it easy on this segment there’s a couple of things that you want when you hit and drive over the deck first of all is a decent light you don’t want it in a div that’s for sure but uh you know you want it to be lying if it’s lying in a hole or something like that it’s going to be tough and you obviously don’t have a lot of Loft uh so I think the most important thing is to realize that the ball is going to come out lower you got to deal with that you don’t want to be trying to lift it up or anything like that you still you want to do a normal swing and then let the ball let the club and the ball do the do the work love you make it sound simple that is ridiculous Sergio let’s look at the data it’s fairly straight that is so good right Sergio I’m a bit speechless to be honest from what I’ve just witnessed you’ve had three seconds this year the win is coming I can feel it thank you so much for joining us today good luck this week thank very much now I was speechless then but I’m speechless now Sergio’s ball striking I’ve had the opportunity to play with some of the best golfers in the world but it was something like I’ve never seen or heard before but anyway we had a lot of great things in that and I’m going to give you a tip to help you shallow the club now Sergio mentioned in that piece how when he was younger he needed to create speed because he wasn’t that tall okay and he spoke about taking the club a little bit on the outside and then shallow ing the golf club so if you want some extra yardage I’ve got a drill set up here for you to try at home so what you’re going to do is you’re going to put an alignment stick or a golf club into the ground like so this is now your performance Zone your practice Zone and then you’re going to have your Play Zone here okay so you’re going to set up you’re going to practice the takeaway and the goal is to not hit the stick on the way back like so and this is what Sergio was talking about and also JT was also talking about this and showing us at that concert so you’re going to put the stick in the ground Club outside now the next part is allowing the club to fall underneath and that’s what Sergio was talking about that lag which he managed to create to get the strike and get his speed up so you’re going to do practice swings like so Club outside Club underneath Club outside Club underneath then you’re going to step into your performance Zone here and you’re going to try and replicate the same feel so Club outside the hands Club dropping underneath and this is such a great drill to create some speed and create some lag more often than not when I’m coaching I see people actually whipping the club inside and then going over the top and you lose a lot of accuracy and precision and you get that nasty slice so let’s go through that one more time Club in the ground or stick practice that takeaway outside the line drop it underneath and then go into your performance Zone do a nice slow rehearsal of what you want to feel and you’re going to hit the shot now if you want to strike it like Sergio I highly recommend this is a great drill he’s had three seconds this year he’s waiting for his Maiden win on Liv the way he’s striking it I think this could be his week great job Rachel Drummond always loves seeing what you do great job with Sergio Garcia as well as you can see it’s beautiful here in Houston Texas we got a nice little breeze going this is Club 54 post round show all right and Jerry fultz is still joining me here I got to tell you what’s up what’s the do you play golf much I wouldn’t say much okay Rachel can teach you to break 90 probably in like a week maybe 80 in two weeks we got to make that happen pretty I know we got to make that happen pry brilliant isn’t you guys only live a continent from each other yeah we we’ll figure it out somehow Jerry now we are officially halfway through live golf league schedule okay I noticed the energy has shifted a little bit and I would love to hear your take on that do you notice anything different the demeanor of the guys the way they’re playing the way they’re communicating with each other yeah there’s a lot on the line you know you look at someone like Martin kimer who’s a captain of the cleaks and has been near the end of the the the the uh points list uh pretty much whole time he’s been out here here but he’s been injured he’s playing Great Golf again he’s going into the US Open next week where he won 10 years ago I believe it’s the last year of his exemption into that uh and Anything Could Happen um look at Kevin naw this is a big golf course and this guy just he just he’s like he he can do anything it seems like he’s right there and then it’s Ian pter he hasn’t won since he won here I think it was what seven years ago or so maybe yeah 2018 six years ago uh he’s a world class player he has not played that well out here hardly uh at all um Lee Westwood who’s not played I mean he’s way down on the list he needs a good week he needs a lot of good weeks and you see some of those guys and it’s really encouraging to see what they’re able to summon out of them themselves when they need it most because this is serious business out here we present a party atmosphere for the fans these are world- class golfers playing for a whole lot and they’re playing for their place in live golf league moving forward almost all of them are playing for that and they know it and it’s on the line they don’t have that many more opportunities left to prove it that they still belong out here that they can still extend that career after hearing you just sum that up you got me all fired up Jerry great answer all right so we are here I want to pull up the season long standings and just hear your take as we break down second half of live golf league 2024 schedule uh let’s take a look at these standings and I want you to tell me is there anything that you see on this list here that excites you or stands out out to you here it is people are fighting for their careers yeah season long standings Brooks Kea the alpha male along with John ROM and many other alpha males but you know the guy with the most Majors any be out here besides Phil Mickelson he hasn’t won of the previous two he hasn’t won a season long championship and that means a lot and in in future Generations it’s going to be looked back on as something extremely more meaningful than a a brand new league does that it feels right now but these players know that they know that this is going to be impactful for the landscape of golf for a long long time um you get down near the bottom here and you see guys like David po that guy you would think is going to be playing professional golf in this league as long as he wants to but if he finishes worse than 48th he’s not on this league next year he needs to go back to the uh to the promotions event and earn his way back out otherwise you’re not allowed back on that is a stud of a young player a really young player he’s got a lot of great golf ahead of him all right
