episode is going to be mostly Caitlyn Clark in the WNBA and uh that hot topic that it is right now but I want to come from different perspectives or not even different perspectives but just different people uh who had something to say about it man and the the panel gills of ringer they they touched on it so we’ll go with that first and then of course what you see on the thumbnail is is what happened on ESPN First Take with Monica mut Stephen A Smith and then they had a GU and they continue that conversation today with uh chenel gum on there uh all of that stuff was very good uh to uh to go on uh and then I’m G end the show with uh Lebron James on his mind the guy uh mind the game podcast uh saying something that you might not expect him to say about Kyrie Irving um so it should be a good show um we got everything you want to see we got sound bites Graphics we got video uh breakdown of uh basketball we got all of that in this show so this show going to be good y’all can go ahead started so how do let’s kind of take a step back and see how all this Kate and Clark stuff even started Bes besides her being a phenomenal basketball player in college and lighting uh women uh women’s Hoops on fire and breaking records and uh taking our all way to the championship two years in a row like uh you know that she had a phenomenal Junior and Senior year so let’s not negate the fact that she was a wonderful basketball player and one of the best college basketball players we’ve seen uh from the standpoint of how she played the game um how um you know um how wide open she played the game and and outside the box because mostly players of of her caliber that that are that good they end up going to Big schools and when you go to those big schools you end up being teamed up with players equally as good as you if not better or uh slightly uh below you but you end up playing with some great players and when you have great players playing at a great program all together you’re not going to have one player uh putting up the type of stats that Caitlyn Clark did right so you have to have two things happen to put up the type of stats that Caitlyn Carr put up one you have to be a great player and two you have to play for a team or school that’s going to allow you to actually be everything for that team right I I’m everything for this team I’m obviously gonna put up a lot of stats because I can hoop right uh and that and that doesn’t normally happen right so she was in that unique situation right um but what really exploded this thing so much right uh and we got to go there on the elephant in the room and really really we really to uh touch on the real thing we can’t just dance around it so um in my opinion and you can disagree in my opinion what really blew this thing up it started from her people started hearing about this girl making these 30 foot threes these pull-ups backto back threes putting up big numbers and all that stuff that’s when she start catching attention but she mostly caught the attention of people who genuinely like basketball right that’s not going to be enough to actually go uh viral or go uh berserk the way she did you’re going to need more than that so the other element that came in is the fact that she start beating some of these big schools and when she start beating some of these big schools she brought in a whole different demographic for whatever reason now you got people who normally are not basketball Watchers normally are not NCAA basketball Watchers and normally are not women’s basketball Watchers right so you got a different type of people in and saying who is this girl we keep hearing about that’s beating all these big schools and doing it in this type of fashion where we’ve never seen it before I want to be I want to see that right so what would make someone who don’t watch a sport all of a sudden watch a sport and we have examples of that we have examples of Tiger Woods coming into the golf world and bringing in a whole different demographic that normally wasn’t there people who normally didn’t play golf or watch golf who is this young kid that’s beating everybody who is this young Prodigy I keep hearing about we like prodigies we like we like Payton Manning in that story of we his dad taught him how to be a quarterback from the time he could uh could could walk all right we we like those type of stories of a prodigy who is this young Prodigy that you know that’s just on another level we want to see that right so when we hear about a pton Manning we watching that pton Manning but it’s different with this with this one it goes across the race lines right so you got a predominantly white Sport with this Prodigy coming in Tiger Woods that we’re hearing about now we want to watch it to see if he’s actually as good as we’re hearing and you got black people watching golf like oh shoot someone that looks like me is playing golf and he’s beating players that no uh who who used to own the sport But Here Comes this guy that’s going to be the best is going to take over the sport we want to sit back and watch that right you can speculate as to why that demographic would want to do that but it’s the truth people wanted to watch Tiger Woods do his thing and and people that looked like him was interested because we’ve never seen it before very similar to Kayon clar right uh people who didn’t watch basketball who care care less about women’s Hoops especially college basketball was hearing about this white girl coming into this sport that mostly the great players you hear about are going to be women of color a lot a lot of times right and when you see that and then she’s beating these schools with these women of color it’s very interesting to people that look like Caitlyn Clark that’s practically fine so we move move on she’s doing her junior year senior year she’s exploding and then things a tension between uh uh black people white people right it’s been a little bit of tension that came to cres Crescendo around the time where she had to face South Carolina and Don Staley in her team right things start being said in the media like South Carolina had thugs on their team and they played rough and they did this and you know um I I I don’t know what it came from playing physical and playing rough uh all of a sudden was a bad thing right in my opinion why I think that was such a bad thing is because the advantage that a girl that is bigger would have or the advantage a girl that uh might come from a different demographic might come from a different background different upbringing I just go ahead and say it if I’m from the projects I’m probably going to be a little bit rough around the edges right and when it comes out on the basketball court it gives me a it gives me an advantage over someone who didn’t come up with their upbringing right that’s something that uh that they’re going to have to learn and and have to build up to but when you see it on the floor it looks like bullying it looks like here comes this girl from the hood that’s rough and tough and she’s pushing around this girl that’s not from the hood and it’s not that rough and tough and it looks like bullying right why are you pushing this girl around why are you treating her like that why are you doing x y andz and they don’t like that right it you know it it tugs at your heart string it’s almost like if you see your own kid out there getting pushed around the bullet I knows I know what that feels like I coached my son and I seen someone doing that to him on the court and I can’t tell you how much my B my blood was blowing bulling right I I couldn’t stand it man that he he kept pushing my son in the back XYZ that’s another story though right I really got pissed off about that so when you see someone that look like you uh those girls uh those yeah look like my Wi-Fi was acting up um can y’all hear me get somebody put in the chat if y’all can hear me if y’all can see me good cuz my WiFi is struggling right now uh I ain’t got no comments yet can y’all can y’all hear and see me okay we good all right so when that when that happens you see someone that look like you this is this is who you chose to cheer for and root for right this is this is this is who you have uh attached to your heartstring and you don’t want to see no one come in and interfere with that it’s especially if you you’re going to label it as as bullying you don’t want to see that so that’s why that’s that’s why all the that’s why all the animosity comes when it when it when it was uh directed at the players of South Carolina or directed at the players of LSU because I don’t want to see my girl get bullied right the media members do all of it and and from the other end there was a response to it if you’re going to keep calling these girl and we you know we know it’s a dog whistle we know you’re not saying exactly what you’re really thinking but you know you’re calling it bulling but we know why you calling it bulling right so if you going to say this about the South Carolina girls and the LSU girls there was a response for some some uh people of color in the media that would say things back toward the people who are on this side right so that’s the tension that you seen between Caitlyn Clark South Carolina LSU and then when Caitlyn Clark beat South Carolina and then go to the championship and we think that she’s gonna beat LSU and LSU prevails and then you get the famous you can’t see me thing from Angel Reese and she’s walking around and taunting her after the game and that’s when you got the heart string because now we just seen the girl we’ve been rooting for for the two uh two years get beat and we don’t like how you handle it and they attack Angel Reese from that moment all the way to now they’re still attacking her right you know if she does anything any any step they’re coming out there right so that’s what started most of this stuff and that’s what blew it up because now you got the whole country involved in it and you tie in race and you tie in competition and you tie in basketball you tie all that stuff in and it’s a big big old deal and that’s how all this started right so now we’re here gills Arena uh let’s hear what kenyaan Martin had to say about the incident that started from uh Kennedy Carter hip checking um Caitlyn Clark doing the inbounds before the ball was inbounded uh I’m going to play exactly what they said directly after which was their press conference and then I play Kenya Martin’s piece and I pause it here and there and then I get my commentary on the play before bumping in with Kaitlin it seemed like she she turned to you a little bit after the after the F clar did she say anything to you I don’t know what she said what’ you say to her I it is what it is you know I feel like I’m just at the point where you accept it um and don’t retaliate like you know just let them hit you be what it is don’t let it get inside your head um and know what’s coming I think at this point like I know I’m going to take a couple hard shots a game um and that’s what it is it doesn’t I’m trying not to let it bother me and um you know just just stay in the game and saying what’s important because usually it’s the second person that gets caught when if you retaliate or something so uh just trying to stay in the game and focus on my team and focus on what’s important so aggressive play has been a main stay in the WNBA for some time uh despite the increased attention Clark has brought rookies and vets getting done like this is nothing new but I have to ask you guys what are your thoughts on this incident involving Kennedy Carter kayin Clark welcome to the lead Rook all right welcome to the league Andre’s gonna through the same thing most rookies go through it welcome to the League this you can’t keep turning cheeks yeah you only got two St you really got four you don’t want to to hit you on but can’t keep turning cheeks man like I ain’t saying you gotta go out there and be like try to hurt nobody Kaylin kayin get gang [ __ ] it so Matt said her teammates need to stick up for it right I heard Matt over the weekend like where the [ __ ] are her teammates this that in the third w i get that to a certain degree cuz we in this together I understand that but kit to stick up for herself first and foremost you’re a rookie I get that but this basketball y’all out here everybody we hooping this is the job we all work for the WBA but because I have a celebrity status I’m this okay I get that but you got to take it for yourself then your teammates second right yeah I was telling the story same situation with Blake I told Blake list you got to take up for yourself dog they gonna keep doing it until you hit somebody back or hit somebody first BL Griff Griffin with the memph like yeah like you you got to they going to keep doing it to you till you hit somebody F like she said the second one get caught right so be first yeah hit somebody like same situation somebody looking for a rebound running her do the same thing that she did to you now people understand like she ain’t taking no [ __ ] instead of no that’s not the response they’re gonna keep doing it to you you gotta stick up for yourself and your teammates stick up for you second is but I’m like I’m not g just let people I just like you got you got to stand like eventually yeah nature to react to reaction yeah yeah so but like I said be first you know this coming okay this per I’m G get one off and see how they like that gotta change the narrative that’s what I’m asking to do like I get it you rookie you don’t want to seem like damn all that this is sports and this is the [ __ ] Lions then that you’re in young lady is eating or be eating at this point right you you are famous and you are great at your craft now but if you don’t perform it ain’t guaranteed yeah so you got to this is the Lion’s Den this is [ __ ] old school Gladiator Last Man Standing like you got to change your approach and mentality you’re dealing with Pros now this is not I got scholarship and I’m okay next here mhm no this is grown women trying getting paid and and it’s they feel a certain way about you you understand that yes get their respect get their respect and that’s my earned and going out and busting their ass and play but not taking no [ __ ] so I like the point that he’s making right he’s he from one end he’s saying they’re coming after you with physicality um and we know how I mean you gotta match physicality to physicality and I don’t think Caitlyn Clark is against all of that right you know Caitlin Clark has been physical with players in college she’s been physical with players in the WNBA she’s pushed people she’s elbow people as a matter of fact before she got hip check she Eed the girl right that’s that that’s the play that don’t normally get played on ESPN but she Eed the girl before that right so she she Ms it up and she got in somebody fast after she hit a three in her face you know what I mean and she’s talking and she’s chirping trust me man Caitlyn Clark she she with the shits right you know all this protection that y’all claiming she need and all this protection that you know the the media is coming in the cape for and all this stuff she she she knows what’s going on she you know she you know and but she’s gonna play to the media if I can go out in the media and and and play one role and have them do my bidding for them for me and all of a sudden you know uh I I start getting a different treatment where nobody can really touch me then hell yeah I’m gonna do that I mean but you know it’ll be more respect for if if she does what Kenyan is suggesting and say You Gotta Fight Fire with Fire you gotta get feury you gotta be tough you got to do all of that stuff you gotta get through this you’re a rookie they’re testing you they you they’re putting you through the ringer get through it it’s only been 10 games you got about 30 more left get through it right so uh and and then let’s and then come back next year ready to go a little bit tougher a little bit stronger and ready to uh face all of that so yeah I agree with Kenya Martin she got to do that part uh do I agree with M Barnes and his suggesting that her teammates gota uh be there forward to yeah shoot do I agree with Draymond Green saying she needed an enforcer I don’t know if she needed an enforcer you know uh they told me she was the goat I don’t know if she I really don’t know if she needed enforcer I mean maybe maybe she just needs some years under her belt and and until she could be the person that that’s inflicting the pain on on on rookies you know I mean so um I I don’t know if there’s any other way to do it other than actually just go through the fire that’s the only that’s the only way I can think of and that’s what Keenan is suggesting uh the other piece of it is is he said you gotta perform which I agree and when I play this gibber Arena part You’re Gonna Hear nick uh Nick Young trying to come in you know Nick Young soft spoken and GB Arenas is his big brother so every time he tried to come in and suggest Caitlyn got a hoop though right that they would talk over him and I’m and I’m going explain to you why I think that is right uh listening to uh ESPN listening to speak listening to give Arenas they know the content creation game Stephen A Smith show has been number one for several years running he knows the content creation game he knows what you need to talk about what need to be said and how to play the game there’s a clip I’m not going to play it for you today you got to go find it there’s a clip of the game and all this stuff and what they’re suggesting is look we know what needs to be said we know what’s true but we know what needs to be said on TV so when G when Gil kept talking over Nick Young you’re hear kept talking over Nick Young and wouldn’t let him say the quiet part out loud that lets me know now we not we not going route we’re not going with the realness like you know I mean keep that somewhere else we we we selling content right that that’s basically what it was saying but what Nick Young was trying to say is look man we doing all this man she not hoop He Said She Gotta hoop y’all keep talking about this Jordan and Curry stuff Jordan was Jordan day one right Curry earned his name in the league by balling like she got to actually hoop she’s not hooping like that y’all calling this girl to say she she’s not hooping but they wouldn’t let him say that but here’s how uh gibber aren uh uh approached it right we’ve played we understand when someone gets too much in too much power too much money they get handed all of these things without earning it it pisses people off naturally we seen it with LeBron J like Wendy like we see it we understand you can’t fool us right so we know that there is a a deep down like she’s getting things that she didn’t earn you can’t be mad at her right it a there nothing she did she just went out there did what she did in college people gravitated to the style that she has nothing against you guys it’s her style that people fell in love with so we’re not we’re not saying bow down to her but the fact that you got to take cheap shots let you know like if you can’t just play defense and stop her the way you want the fact that you got to do things out of your character if this is not your character then you are angry about the situation all right I’mma pause it there and because he said two things because he’s he’s he’s trying to address and make the point that these girls are jealous of citla cart because she is giving the keys to the city uh she’s giv the face of the uh n WNBA like they made her the face and she ain’t play a WNBA game and they want to drive the narrative home that that is making these girls jealous and that’s why they’re taking cheap shots at her this is my push back for that uh I don’t think that equates to jealousy just because they’re defending her and I don’t think I see cheap shots on her except this one cheap shot one it’s been 10 games 11 games I think one cheap shot so what they’re going to do is take that one cheap shot and now they’re going to make a blanket statement to qualify all the defense that’s been played on her and make that cheap shot uh represent all of that so all the great defense that was played on her the physical defense the screen set and they’re going to equate all of that is the same thing as that cheap shot and then say all the WNBA girls are jealous that’s crazy to do right it’s been one cheap shot in a lot of great defense right but we’re going to talk about this one cheap shot as if that represents jealousy or equates to jealousy then he said it’s the play style that everyone fell in love with yes that is that is true but everyone fell in love with the play style that she played in college which right now appears that she can’t duplicate in the WNBA why because the defense is physical right and she’s saying this play style is what they’re coming to coming to watch but when they come to watch they can’t see that play style they can see a glimpse of it she’s hit a couple of 30 foot threes they can see a glimpse of it but for the most part if she’s running around and and facing a lot of physicality and and and then she has to defend on the other end and she’s getting bumped and bruised and all that stuff and she’s gota she got to work hard to get her shots them legs are not always going to be there now will next year look like uh this year probably not may maybe her legs will be stronger next year and she can with withstand all of that but right now it don’t look like she can duplicate uh what she did in college and WNBA because the defense is too good the girls are too good she’s not the best girl in the league by far right so they can’t duplicate it so all these eyes that she brought to the WNBA are coming to watch a game and they’re coming to see Caitlyn and they’re coming to see Caitlyn be what the media told uh everyone that she was gonna be which is the goat the Savior the Messiah the best player in the WNBA remember they said that she can play in The Big Three they said she can play in the NBA Rob Parker said that these are the things they were saying they said she’s too good for the WNBA you’re telling all this stuff before she get there and these girls that have been there that is very disrespectful like it’s very disrespectful just because you want this narrative that she’s the Savior and the goat and she’s proving that she’s not and these girls are determined to show you that because when you bring all these eyes to see Caitlyn you’re going to see someone better than Caitlyn right and any smart person that want to see good basketball or this style of play that she plays can see whenever she plays someone there’s someone that can play that style in the WNBA but it ain’t her let me introduce you to someone named jel Lloyd who led the WNBA in scoring last year 24 points a game and she also broke the single season record for points in the WBA almost a thousand points uh in the WNBA and she set that record last year or broke that record last year right um this clip I want to show you is going to show a couple of things it’s going to show you number one uh how they was defending her right she’s such a great score this was toward the end of the season so everybody got tape on her they know she’s a microwave they call her the Mamba she wears number 24 for Kobe right and and G reeners is talking about this play style this play style this play style of shooting and all this stuff but what if I told you it was a girl who had the play style of the Mamba in the NBA the way she shoots the way she pulls up it’s a beautiful jump shot one of the best jump shots I’ve seen in the WNBA beautiful jump shot she’s quick fast she can move without the ball so I’m going show you this clip and it’s she came into the game needing nine points to uh uh break the record right and I want to I want to show you how fast she got those nine points it was like this back to back right uh so when I play you g to see uh her you uh use a high screening roll and they blitzed her and doubl her they get the ball out of her hand they’re not trying to give her they’re not trying to let her set the record on them right they’re not they’re not allowing that they’re trying to defend this girl so they’re doubling her on every High screening roow to get the ball out of her hand so you’ll see a couple of clips of that but then you also see once she start scoring they came in bunches and I want you to see everything that she did to get those points I want you to see how she handled the ball I want you to see how uh uh beautiful her jump shot jump shot is I want you to see what she uh does without the ball all of this stuff and I want you to tell me if you would prefer that play style over the play style of Caitlyn Clark cu I know what I would prefer so this is her coming down she’s going to she’s going to use a screen watch them BL that’s a double she had to get the ball out of her hand they they blit her on that screen right but here’s the point if you sag off of her she’s going to pull up it don’t matter where it’s from you sag off look how beautiful that jump shot is that’s how she started scoring right that’s how she started the points right I want you to see how quick these points come here’s a Miss shot they she missed so much time with that knee injury the last three games but she comes out here and looks fresh and what a pro to come out and want to play not in the playoff they doubling her again so she has to get the ball up every time she uh gets a screen they doubling on her off that screen they’re not going to allow her to get shots up seatt they don’t want to let her get shots up so there she is on the break got to got to be aware and fast to get get points look how quick these points are coming though and fifth most in WNBA history to break Bri Stewart sing season scoring record began with 911 for juel today and she already watch this one dribble step back oh my God on the are you are you are you seeing this and she has it tied are you saying this this is going to come very very quickly LS a clar up no good around taken by hon hon with it what do they G to use they dou her off a screen again you see that every every time she try to get that screen they dou her that’s how Caitlyn Clark get most of her points by using that high screening roll every time J LD used the high screening rooll they double her and took the ball out of her hand but look she’s so good she’s gonna find her points look at this how she go look at that’s physical defense tough got rounded and now she has the record right so now she has the record she has the record they call a timeout they call a timeout now she’s the new Rec points this season atast already with 11 look what she does coming out of the 12 run I want you to look at the clock to see how much time going what she does shoulders and carried the load 11 points in three and a half minutes but she’s got to keep adding on she playing def at a right now what she going to do here pull from again hello lyd with 14 you can forget Asia Wilson today I mean this is unreal how good this girl is so when you see what what’s supposed to happen with the WNBA and the reason why I think some of these females are not jealous but I think they’re frustrated not with Caitlyn but with the media courage because look we could build this league so quick so fast and so huge if you use all of us Caitlyn is not the Savior you think she is she’s bringing eyes to the league and when you come to the league and you see someone play that good like ju Lloyd you’re not supposed to get mad because we’re playing defense on Caitlyn and you want to see Caitlyn do what she did in college you’re watching someone is doing what Caitlyn did in college and it says something about you if you don’t watch JW lyd play and say that is amazing I like that style of basketball and it also shows that these guys are not paying attention to the WNBA and watching the games because if they think the style of play of K is all of that if you watch je Lord you got to love that style of play and it’s very similar to the Mambo she has that Mama mentality the girl can flat out score and she’s not the only one she’s not the only one in order for us to see what Caitlyn did in college she’s going to have to have a team play the way she played at Iowa and if you got good players on your team it’s not necessary for someone to play like that she’s got to get way better she’s not as good as people think she is she’s not the savior of the WNBA I’m sorry like that that’s the difference right when when uh Sabrina the whole Kobe thing same [ __ ] oh Kobe Kobe Kobe we gonna see like it’s it’s human nature but at the end of the day I can tell you this history is history they do angel race too yeah yeah but I’m saying it’s the it’s the same no matter how we look at it it’s the same thing these rookies are more famous than the rookies before them yeah they didn’t earn anything more famous than the WNBA start it with if they’re more famous than the W it is in itself and I and are they better than you guys right now of course not no one’s questioning are you better than them that is not the issue here the issue is but [ __ ] is changing no matter if you like it or not right no M you can hit her all you want right now the league itself is going to change it for them right when when Jordan came in and everybody was hitting on him and the NBA identified this is the Golden Goose for the league they changed the rules for him right when you hear Isaiah Thomas well they didn’t change it for bird they didn’t change it for man they didn’t change it for me they Chang it for him though they did right and who got penalized you 30 years later you’re still wondering why you didn’t make the USA team that him right here he’s the reason the Golden Goose when he was like Hey have we want uh how about Isaiah Thomas hell no it’s next right she gotta start doing some Jord [ __ ] though hey you hear you hear Nick Young he said she got to start doing some Jordan [ __ ] though like like you keep talking about this Jordan stuff I ain’t saying no Jordan stuff like Jord when Jordan came in as a rookie he was doing Jordan stuff like you talking about changing rules for Caitlyn she’s not doing no Jordan stuff what are we talking about hey there’s gonna be a point in time I say yeah where she’s gonna be the face of it all sure already is and she’s going to remember everything that’s happened oh yeah but they probably won’t be around though and and most of y’all ain’t gonna be around right because they they’re gonna get rid of the outliers that’s how human nature is the the game is going to be changed for her style which is going to benefit all the girls who play like that finesse girl can score who can shoot it’s gonna open it it’s gonna open up you think like Steph Curry about say hey he start getting bump hey hey Steve Nash right hey take the hand check off now he gets to Ram around and do all but it helps everybody else out but that’s the issue with the NBA that’s why we don’t like the the uh the NBA right now they went too far on the Spectrum with defense and offense they they they did too much they messed the game up for the sake of entertainment and more scoring now Adam cver is seeing that affected them mightily they can’t even they can’t even go and convincingly beat teams in the Olympics anymore because they got a Sofer brand of basketball in NBA and they go overseas and play they’re playing a more physical Brandon basketball and they’re getting bullied right so that’s one area and also now fans are starting to be turned off by the NBA and it’s sh up when we watch a dag on allar game like all all all thep it took a while for us to see all the symptoms but it’s a sickness in the NBA going on and that sickness started from what they’re what they’re asking the WNBA to do for one player can you change the rules to make the game easier for this one player so we can see her run around and shoot 30 foot threes but what the WNBA uh uh women are saying is we don’t want the NBA influence on us we don’t want to play like that y’all product is trash we have a better brand y’all got the better players because they’re better athletes and y’all can’t even play a good brand of basketball because y’all sold yall yourself for entertainment the WNBA we still passionate about basketball more than entertainment we’re fine we’re we’ll build it the slow way it’s moving in the right direction we’ll build it the slow way we don’t have to fast track it and then start manipulating the game too much for one player is one player she can’t she can’t get more than 20 points a game and you want to help her by changing the rules you you can’t do that the WNBA don’t want that to happen and I like the WNBA the way it is they go in the post they use post players what they’re asking them to do is do we want to see fiveman out basketball and Luca ball and Caitlyn CK ball all in the NBA and have all 12 teams playing like that do we want to see that do we want to see high screen and Road threes layups and that’s it no girls going in the post we setting screens illegally we’re moving on we we want to see all of that no physicality no no bumping no hand we want that’s what we want to see in the WNBA I think not and the girls are pushing back saying we don’t don’t invite that here we don’t do that here right so the men that’s trying to lead this conversation you need to actually talk to the women and see if that’s the type of League they want you’re offering it to everybody but they’re telling you we don’t want that type of League she got to get there though she got to prove Nick right Nick Young again saying she got to get there though and they still talking over and won’t let him go she has to prove that she can play the girls she can be Jimmy for no no no what I’m saying she she has to prove that she can play for the women themselves for media themselves the the marketing is they want her right now yeah and that’s what like though man it’s he’s right the the the media the media and the and Caitlyn’s fans Not basketball fans I want to differentiate that there’s Caitlyn fans and then there’s media right basketball fans are not the same as Caitlyn fans some people that followed Caitlyn from the NCAA to WNBA just like Caitlyn they didn’t come for basketball because if they did and they seen juel lyd they would be ju ly friends all of a sudden right so you got to ask yourself if players better than Caitlyn who play a a more appeasing style of uh basketball and they lead in the league in scoring and they already got two championships like ju lyd does and a gold medal how come she’s not the one getting marketed so you have to ask yourself why what’s the difference between ju Lloyd the better player and Caitlyn the rookie well Caitlin got more years uh to go so I mean if if if you get on the bandwagon with Caitlyn now you got more time with I guess J Lord already been in the league like seven years right so I I guess that’s a difference other than that they both girls uh they both play guard um so the only difference is one is white as one and one is black right we got to address the elephant in the room so is it the white demographic is saying that we don’t want to choose a black girl because we’ve already seen that before you know we want this one we want this girl because she look like us that’s fine right but when people call it out and say that you can’t deny it if that’s what it is right and you can’t get mad because someone is playing defense on your chosen one right so if the media chose her this is what’s going on right uh I remember watching the movie Will Smith was in called I Am Legend and I remember at the end uh he figured out how to kill or how to uh get rid of that virus that was turning everybody to zombies but he had to die in order for him to you know he pretty much had to sacrifice himself right and I remember saying I really don’t like the way that movie ended man I wanted him to to to live so much so that I think fans there was a fanmade trailer with an alternate ending a fanmade alternate ending to that movie I used to think it was real uh and I like the fact that he survived in that alternate ending right we we we like things the way we like to see it but imagine me saying to the person who wrote that movie the person who said I want to write this movie I want to direct it so you can be entertained and I offer that to you and then I tell you as fans not just me but a whole lot of fans tell you we don’t like what you’re offering us we want the alternate ending and we try to force him to redo the movie with the alternate ending in it imagine doing that that’s what the Caitlyn Clark fans are doing they’re telling the WNBA the commissioner the players the coaches the teams they’re telling everybody the brand of basketball you’re giving us uh we don’t want to see that because Caitlyn is not doing what I came and I paid to see I want you to change everything so that one player can get her 30 points and shoot her threes change everything so that one player can do it and the whole media is okay with this all the k fans are okay with this they’re saying change everything for that one player and that’s not what they did for Michael Jordan and and that’s not what they did for Michael Jordan here’s the Spectrum in the middle that’s the way you supposed to call the game and officiate the game that’s textbook NBA rule book all the way to the right in the red is way more that’s that’s that’s the Jordan rules that’s the Detroit Pistons that’s that uh late mid 80s early 90s that’s that defense or or pretty much all of the 80s that’s that defense where we’re fouling and we’re clotheslining people and you’re not even getting a flagrant for it right a foul supposed to be a foul but in the Jordan rule era fouls wasn’t fouls so the only that they keep comparing Michael Jordan to the league now or or to the WNBA now if they change the rules but that’s not true the Jordan rules the the the defense and the fouls that he had to endure was way past the rule book what they was allowing the only thing that the commissioner did is scaled it back to the Middle where is a good balance where there’s still physical play there was still hand checking there was still physical play in the post and all that stuff but we just wasn’t allowing football we’re not allowing football which was always to the right we’re in the Middle where the NBA rule book is at that’s exactly where the WNBA is right now the WNBA is calling everything by the rulle book is just a physical brand of basketball what the media and Caitlyn Clark fans are asking them to do is go all the way to the left to where the NBA got in trouble with and where you’re saying you can’t touch nobody we’re calling everything and we give him star calls so this star can uh uh Prevail and we can sell tickets they want to go all the way to the other end of the spectrum where the hands off the merchandise is what we like to call it shout out the ticket TV he want to go all the way hands off the merchandise this is what the fans want for Caitlyn cart all so she can score points and if she’s the Messiah and you got to do all of that for her to score points then is I’ve actually practiced with the Minnesota links and to be in a game not not to be in a game to be in practice with them and see how physical they are and how they set screens you know they they got to depend a lot on technique technique requires physicality so the game is a is a physical game I like the bump I don’t know if it caused the the fall over you know what I’m saying but extra put on I ready ready for the NBA and then his second son is going to be ready and he’s going to have three sons in the NBA and how they going to take over basketball and how they all going to play on the same team and if you get him on the same team they gonna win the championship and then when he said Lonzo ball better than Steph cerry when he said that everybody was like man who is this dude they’re mad at Lonzo ball Lavar ball because he came out with a big baller brand uh shoe and uh clothing line and said his sons ain’t signing with no uh big uh shoe contract and they thought he was arrogant and and they thought that what he was saying about his son was a bit too much the things that he was saying he’s better than Steph Curry was way too much for the media to handle so what did the NBA say well we go show you and we go expose your son because your mouth is big and when Lonzo ball came in from game one he had Patrick Beverly Patrick bever was in him 94 feet so when everyone say there’s no such thing as a rookie getting like Caitlyn Clark Lonzo B was one of those rookies why because his dad said that he could survive the NBA and he was better than Steph Curry no one called that jealousy when Pat Bell was in Alonzo uh uh ball Hip Pocket like that no one said he was jealous of him we understood that if you’re GNA run your mouth we’re g to show you what the league is about so did Caitlyn cart have a dad or a mom that went out in the media and did that no but the media did it the media called her the Messiah the media said she was gonna save the WNBA the media said that she was our Lord and savior the media said that she could play in the NBA the media said she can play in The Big Three the media said she was bigger than everybody in the uh uh Basketball Association right the media said that so the media was the uh Lavar ball for Caitlyn Clark she had a Lamar Ball but that Lamar ball or that Lavar ball had a bigger mouth than Lavar ball because it was ESPN it was Fox it was bar it was the ringer it was every major platform that was her Lavar ball so quite naturally the females was like oh they think it’s sweet over here okay well let’s show them but what they want the females to do is say oh no don’t give her that treatment because she’s supposed to bring you money and you got to be nice to her it makes no sense listen to L Shan McCoy I’m GNA go to commissioner when Michael Jordan was Michael Jordon and before he kind of ran the NBA he was that superstar that was coming there right it was the Jordan rule that the p was hey Jord come in the lane you knock him down do whatever you got to do to him even though it’s basketball which that wasn’t but it was part of trying to to execute a plan against the greatest player that we we seen in the game at that time was the biggest exciting player like Caitlyn is but if you look at the way Michael Jordan’s careers went right and he is a great player and he was tough David Stern the commissioner he changed that hold up y’all are not about to mess up the biggest thing for the NBA who was Michael Jordan let’s put it in Contex right now today the commissioner is stepping there and say y’all are not about to mess up the biggest thing that’s bringing all the awareness to the game from Caitlyn if you look at Michael he was the first person I really get them personalized um customized um sneakers deals right because before everybody signs a Converse and all them no dord had his own shoe this is how I want to design it and ever since then you see all these big contracts from LeBron all these other guys kin’s the same way now she got her shoe she got Nike $28 million um um contract with Nike and all these different endorsements she’s start bringing all these different women to the light now so I just feel like they hate on the wrong person don’t hate on the Messiah don’t do it I’ll be quick see he called her the Messiah Austin River said the entire league is Destiny Child and she’s Beyonce like this is disrespectful to adult grown women when you’re when you’re saying stuff like this the whole league is Destiny Child and they’re looking at the film and saying I can see all her weaknesses they looked at the South Carolina game and just seen Raven Johnson who was a sophomore make her look like she was an average player because her defense was so well so so so good on her she couldn’t handle the physical defense she couldn’t handle someone forcing her to her right and that and and when you’re a professional that’s been in a league like Diana terasi for like 15 20 years it’s very easy to pick up on nuances like that just by watching the film and they can see I know exactly what she can’t do and what she can do and what her weakness is is so if they’re telling me that this is our savior the the females are looking at it like I she’s clearly not maybe she could turn into it maybe she has the potential but what the media is saying right now is is is OD it’s OD like I don’t see a savior right so for Lan mcco to call her the goat he called her the goat several times during that uh doing that show he calls her the goat already like the goat of women’s basketball not college she say that’s the best female basketball he ever seen she said he said she’s the goat that’s what he called her and now he’s calling her the Messiah and I beg to differ right I beg to differ because what I really think she is is more like John the Baptist right when you looked at John the Baptist if you know anything about the Bible is people thought he was the Messiah because he was baptizing people in water and because he spoke like someone that was a teacher or a rabbi they Mist him for the Messiah some people even call him Rabbi and the Messiah he had to correct them I’m not the Messiah right I’m not the Messiah but people looked at it and thought it was we thought Larry Bird and Magic might have been the Messiah but they were John the Baptist they was the one that was supposed to come before the Messiah I think Juju Watkins is is is is going to be the person that’s really going to do what everyone saying Caitlyn Clark is going to do Caitlyn Clark just came to set the tables for right here’s what John the Baptist said this is what uh uh uh John said if you look at it in the Highlight he said he it is who comeing after me is preferred before me who sh latch it I am not worthy to unloose this is after they ask him why are you baptizing we thought you was the Messiah you doing all this baptize he said no man I baptize in water what we seeing from Caitlyn right now is a water baptism but Juju Watkins is going to come and light it on fire he baptized with fire she is going to baptize with fire Caitlyn Clark cannot she’s not worthy enough to untie her sneakers her Nikes so what Caitlyn Clark is doing is great for the NBA or the WNBA but what the people is going to come after her they’re doing we ain’t seen the Messiah yet this ain’t it because the Messiah is going to Garner this much attention that Caitlyn has but they also GNA do it on the court as well what Caitlyn Clark was told to everybody that she was going to do is not translating to wins it’s not translating to her dominating and none of that that’s why they’re trying to ask them to change the game can you change the game please stop calling fouls please let her get away with things please give her star calls change the whole rule book just for Caitlyn so we can see her do what she did at Iowa she changed it she still might not do it and based on what we just seen je L doing against the stuff but for the most part he wasn’t it and we found out really quick and then he was out of the league Roland Curtis what’s up brother so yeah man uh good topic um yeah I’ve been kind of following what’s been happening everybody I guess everybody’s been following it because is been making a lot of news uh but what isn’t making too much news is Caitlyn Clark’s production on Sunday so she had her team lost by 36 points uh Del Liberty beat them 104 to 68 and Kaylin Clark had only three points two rebounds five assists she shot 10% from the field 15% from three and she had uh yeah she had three turnovers but she’s averaging 5.7 turnovers so I mean this is disappointing because a lot of us are not a lot like say even you say casual basketball fans casual sports fans we’re not coming to watch jul Lloyd or Diana terasi or if you you you you you you told me about danana Bonner a uh Wilson a lot of us are coming because they told us that like you said Caitlyn Clark they they’re saying Caitlyn Clark is the Messiah and we’re coming and she’s doing I mean I don’t know what is like the AL mesiah that ain’t the Messiah yeah she doing she doing demon work three points losing by 36 that’s that’s that’s demon work that ain’t the Messiah yeah the last time you guys were on you bet she had eight points in that other game now she has three points in this last game and it’s like uh man it’s so disappointed I mean now I’m not even looking forward to the to the Diana Diana terasi game on the 30th I think she’s gonna I think she’s gonna bomb I think she’s gonna I thought she was going to probably show her up because of all the the trash that terasi has been talking but but now I think Caitlin Clark is just going to lay more eggs because it seems like the pressure or whatever in the basketball still being played and it’s good players on the floor you get what I’m saying so yeah you might not get to see Iowa Caitlyn Clark but you get to see AA Wilson who’s a a great player in the post and just just to see her her explosion when she when when she takes off like you know her first step man I love it man like she look like she I mean as Asia wilon looked like she might be on that P like she I mean she’s like the way she move is unreal like we seen Britney grinder be tall and be able to dunk and stuff like that but the way she moved was very much like a female AA Wilson she don’t move like no female bro I mean like danana Bara is about six 6’4 65 and most of them girls that was that height like Lisa Leslie played in the post uh Candace Parker had a little bit of a outside game but Candace Parker is is more like an Anthony Davis uh with her versatility as a tall guy but uh a tall girl but uh but danana Barner is like Kevin Durant on the perimeter she don’t play no post basketball she’s a straight up guard at 65 with a sweet touch just like Kevin Durant like it’s so much good basketball out there man it’s unreal right but but all they put in our face is is Caitlyn Clark if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t know who danana Bonner was and if it wasn’t for you today I I didn’t know who jwel Lloyd was I never heard of her and then after you you showed the little Clips I went on and just TR looked at her averages and stuff and I’m trying to find highlights about her but man it’s tough because in my face every day in my face every day is Caitlyn Clark and she’s she’s kind of hurting the league a little bit and whose fault is that that’s the wnba’s fault no it’s no no it’s not the wnba’s fault it’s the media’s fault because they told us they told us that lie and Mikey Brad uh when they uh skyar Diggin plays for the storm which is so so imagine skyar Diggins alongside with um with juel L which I just showed y’all clips of they on the same Squad as a back court and that’s scary cause sky can ball right so um yeah yeah yeah yeah that’s that’s what that’s what they looking like over there uh and yeah you right you’re right Adam we do got to do an exorcism because uh the exorcism they want to do is to to remove defense and fouls you know that all of that but go ahead r no I I agree I agree with you that it’s the the media nowly did they push her up like they I mean like you said they were the Lavar ball for Caitlyn Clark and they they put they put her out there like that but then even now that she’s kind of she’s came in here and she’s Baptist and JuJu Watkins being Christ but you know what the the funny thing about uh about scriptures is I remember there’s a verse where Christ said that John no no he said nobody born a woman is greater than John the Baptist and I I’ve asked people in church and say like what does that mean how can how can John the Baptist be the greatest person born of women because I mean David was born of women uh uh Elijah Elisha were born of women uh Moses born of women so how how can Christ say that John the Baptist and most people don’t have an answer they just say he he must be because Christ said it but nobody understands why he would say that unless he’s saying that just because this is a person who’s who’s gonna get get you ready for me maybe that’s why he’s the greatest man ever but yeah because I and we’ll talk about it more uh offline but it’s it’s it’s because the it’s because the work that John did uh paved the way for what uh for what Christ did I mean he he I mean he he really did he went out and did everything that Christ did but it was just the um the training wheels version of it baptizing with water like like everybody was already ready imagine if Christ showed up and hungry man so anytime they see Caitlyn Clark on the schedule oh yeah they gonna play hard they they not playing because everybody’s coming to see Caitlyn CL yeah yeah and they know that so of course you good um and you look on the schedule and it’s a guy that go to your rival School who’s been recruited by everybody and he’s already committed to North Carolina right he’s going to he going to Tar Hill Nation he’s already committed but it’s going to be six Scouts there just anyway just just in case they can you know they want to scout him just in case they can actually steal him right and you know these six Scouts going to be there and you got to guard this dude in this game what is going through your mind I’m about to kill him is that jealousy it’s hunger a jealous exactly and exactly what you just exp being competitive exactly it’s being competitive this guy he’s the next big thing okay I’m about to prove that I’m that guy too and this the best opportunity is to do it when commissioner of the WNBA and I know Caitlyn Clark is my ticket to success because if Caitlyn Clark does not succeed there is a possibility in five to 10 years the WNBA won’t exist I’mma have a meeting with the referees I’m sending emails out to every coach I’m telling the referees hey every time somebody touch Caitlyn Clark F every time somebody talk in trash to Caitlyn Clark Tex I’m telling all the coaches you better tell them women that to keep their hands off Caitlyn Clark and I’mma leave it at that all right man I appreciate yeah that sound like something that they would do in the NBA and I think that’s what people want to see uh that’s fans of Caitlyn I think uh people that uh are just genuinely fans of basketball don’t want to see that right they want to see it called across the board uh the same way regardless of the name on the back of your jersey uh and and let the best woman win let the best team win that is that is going to be more pleasing to the eye to see something like that versus to see someone one use the whistle to help us get uh the entertainment that we want right uh I don’t think that’s a good business model last call from North Carolina what’s up what’s up man I’m good um how I feel about the Caitlyn Clark situation is I think it’s hard for her right now like the hype she got a lot of hype she got a lot of things on the shoulders but like like how we comparing it to LeBron LeBron actually had other superstars that the that they would talk about you know what I’m saying they had KOB tmac Shaq dwade Melo they had a whole bunch of people I think the problem with the media is they not talking about no other player correct and they don’t and they didn’t build up no other players sorry about that but yeah like they didn’t build up no other player like it would be easier for Clayton Clark if they’ve been building up all they star players of their league but since they haven’t did it the only time you hear about the WNBA is when something happened to Caitlyn Clark you don’t hear about nothing else you know they cut to whatever else they don’t say blah blah blah had 296 and six last night or whoever they’re not trying to build nobody up so I think that makes it even harder for Caitlyn Clark because every time she turn on the TV too she always hear something about her correct I wish I wish you you remember the speech that um Paige buers gave when she got awarded at the espies last year or year before last I don’t remember you gotta look that speech up she said basically the same thing you just said uh when it comes to uh women Athletics and and and women’s basketball you know as a as a white woman she up there and accepted her award and she said I don’t want to talk about me while I’m up here I want to um you know um I want to talk about some of these women of color that has been leading our sport for so long and like she brought some people to tears uh by by just saying it you know I mean so I think everybody should go look that up and listen to what she said I wish I would have remembered that you just reminded me of it I wish I could have remembered it I would have had that sound bite ready for y’all to hear but I thought it was a real inspirational what she said man and that’s why she’s not chosen by the same demographical people that chose Caitlyn to be their representative but man thanks for the call right yeah no problem man y all right well we gon move on let me get some of these comments real quick though uh it was one of them I seen that said uh the referees need to get it right let me see if I can pull this one up uh prodical thanks for the comment he said the rest need to get the Cause right I don’t know if the cause are wrong uh I don’t see nothing wrong with the calls but uh they just playing physical basketball you’re not used to it because you’ve been watching the NBA and it’s possible you haven’t been watching any WNBA games at all it’s possible you just seen uh some highlights of what you what they’re showing you uh if that’s the case that’s unfortunate but uh that is a major issue and could determine outcome of the game the call was clearly a flagrant yet the WNBA had to uh rule it such the next day yeah they didn’t they didn’t see a hip check as a flagrant foul uh they got uh they got more information from the from the league uh the league office uh who who told them otherwise because it was the ball wasn’t even inbound and all that stuff so they called it a FL they upgraded it but if they would have called it a flagrant that game and the Scott lost that game Caitlyn Clark that was her second win of the season they so they won it it didn’t turn the outcome and that that that call was so early in the fourth quarter it it really didn’t much matter right so um getting the calls right just by looking at that one thing uh I yeah that’s a reach for me uh it’s definitely a reach for me let me see some of these comments uh many of them make 75k or less uh a each year okay uh kin made the same point um I’m trying to get the same girls the NBA players get into my bank account I would be mad also if I making 65k and uh Clark Nike deal alone is 25 I don’t think no you probably would be mad but you know for for you just TR to put that on them and you know uh and and and I don’t think nobody counting her pocketbooks anyway F first and foremost right uh that’s just like me saying all the players in the NBA that’s making uh I don’t know 350k a year is not even3 they probably making 600k at the least maybe 500k I don’t know uh uh mad at LeBron for making 50 a year like that’s so easy and lwh hanging fruit and cheap and lazy to say something like that and then connect it to what a hip check or great defense like if I play great defense on Caitlyn I’m jealous because she make more money than me the the only alternative the only thing y’all want to see is everyone just take their hands off Caitlyn hands off the merchandise Caitlyn do what you need to do to entertain everybody let’s play call them go try the basketball and then they won’t call me jealous but you know what they will call me out of the league I will be playing overseas if I if I can’t play well and compete and I can’t help my team win what good am I you’re G to be off the squad some of these girls like you said making 65k a year right contract only two two year uh contract they a it ain’t like you getting six-year contracts twoyear contracts I’m playing for my next contract Contra I need to play my best and for someone that plays defense and that’s what you signed me for why the hell I’m not not gonna play my best defense on Caitlyn Clark if my if my Scouting Report say I’m a great defender and a tough Defender and my coach say I’m gonna put you on Caitlin this game that’s my opportunity to make sure I go from great defender to best defend in the league that’s going to be more money for me everybody keep saying Caitlin is bringing eyes to the sport which means more money I can’t get that money if I don’t play and I have to play and if I’m playing against the Messiah and I show you she not the Messiah then yeah I’m gonna be getting some money I’m gonna be getting paid I just shut her down if I’m playing Michael Jordan I want to shut him down what nobody saying we just gonna let Michael Jordan do his thing come on man that don’t make Take Stephen A Smith um the reason why I like this is because you get to see uh the females talk about their sport Monica mcnorth played college basketball I don’t know if she had a stin in WNBA um but Chen gum uh you’re going to hear her voice on this one as well and she definitely played in the WNBA I don’t know if she’s still on the roster I know her sister is but I haven’t seen her I’ve been looking for her but um uh she might be retired I’m not sure uh but they get they get a chance to speak and which is what I like because uh yeah we got men in this space and they invite women to their platform all right so you got first take you got Stephen A Smith who’s an executive producer he always brag about opening up uh lanes for people giving people jobs and inviting people like Monica mut on his show Michelle Chanel gum I’m giving them an opportunity right that’s great but that’s ESPN’s platform Stephen A’s show and he’s the executive producer so I can invite who I want that’s his platform invitation she’s a guest there what I think is uh is is possible for this emergence and this rise of the WNBA is women can have their own space imagine if they create a show similar to First Take but they cover a lot of WNBA and we let someone like Michelle I mean not not Michelle but Chanel gum or Monica mut be the Stephen A Smith of that show because I would much rather hear things about the WNBA from former WNBA players it’s and and maybe they can invite someone that’s a man to their platform to give it balance but we we shouldn’t be the ones leading the conversation for this because the girls of the WNBA has spoken and they’re telling you what they want their league to operate uh uh like what you see right now is politics in the WNBA every entity have their own local politics prison has prison politics someone’s going to come in they’re going to be the biggest baddest dude on the on the Block and he’s going to let L down a law in that prison of what’s going to how things are going to run yeah you got the warden and his deputies or or his cosos but within that prison the the the inmates themselves will form their own local government and have their own politics have their own rules and when you come in we’re gonna you know we’re gonna we’re gonna hey you’re GNA learn real quick how we operate you either GNA learn a hard way or you’re going to learn a smart way but you’re going to learn and if you want to rise up in rank you’re going to have to earn it no one’s going to give it to you you already hat heard the scene when I come in here on the first day I got to show them who I am and I’m going to go punch the biggest dude in the mouth to show you I’m not the one to be played with even if you lose right so you have to establish yourself right so we’re we’re we’re witnessing politics in the WNBA NBA got their own politics we allow them to uh do their own politics the way they do they they show Lavar ball and Lonzo ball listen you ain’t about to come in here and tell us your son better than all of us and he can he can do this and he better than Steph Curry we gonna show you that that was politics they sick Pat Beverly on him and a couple more players out him for about three four games he got the rookie treatment all rookies carry the bags and the suitcases it’s politics you go abide by them that’s always is going to be a locker room leader and then each team got their own politics so it’s nothing different we’re seeing politics go what what we seeing right now is the WNBA saying um this is how we operate this is what we run like if you’re going to choose her as our leader because we didn’t choose her and she didn’t come in and take it and earn it no one gave Michael Jordan leader of the NBA right away we had a leader it was burden and Magic no one came in and said Jordan you’re the leader before he Ste foot on the uh on the draft carpet no one said that he didn’t he wasn’t even the number one pick elijan was or was it Sam bu it was one of them Sam buy elijan then Michael Jordan so no Michael Jordan wasn’t given that he came in and earned it and took it and then he took his lumps as well planning that physical uh basketball he took his lumps so he earned it right so if you’re going to tell the WNBA players is this is your leader because we chose her because of what she did in college okay well if we don’t have a choice in the matter well at least let us get her ready because if you’re going to lead us and I’m GNA follow you you’re gonna have to earn it I’m not going to follow somebody that didn’t earn it you got to earn it so yeah go through this uh ringer you get through this we’ll follow you but only after you prove you deserve it only after you earn only after you get through this because this is how we play in the WNBA we’re not changing it right so that’s my thought on that uh on the uh WNBA politics but let’s listen to how they had this conversation Monica mcdu Stephen A Smith it was a good combo y all agree that this place was unacceptable but in general this is still competition that’s my biggest mistake you’re right guys that I look at other people Shannon my God Ahad Shannon ain’t gonna say it but I’m Shannon ain’t gonna say but I’m gonna say it the word is resentment and I’m talking about what I feel about this whole conversation nobody said all nobody painted the WNBA with a broad brush we’re talking about a girl that a young lady that has come into the sport and is contributing to the financial backbone of the WNBA and simply imploring everybody to see the big picture and how it serves to benefit the whole and because we brought that up it’s turned into a conversation with I resentment jealousy whatever I’m saying yo the resentment is legit but it’s also Justified if you’ve been in the league busting your tail to help uplift it and then somebody comes along and before they play 10 before they play one game you’re Des you’re labeling them the Savior a lot of people men a bunch of men would feel resentment towards that too but we bring it up here and all of a sudden we got to safeguard and couch every little syllable when we’re talking about competition and we’re talking about the league and we’re talking about revenue and money and how everybody wants to get paid the what’s the maximum salary in the NB in the WNBA Eminem isn’t that like 241,000 or something like that is 250 250 right two two 250,000 these girls are stars they could they they they doing they doing commercials now they gonna be making upon dollars on Madison Avenue and they deserve it we’re talking about them maximizing their great potential and because we bring that up and talk about what potentially might get in their way which we do to men all the time now we got to sit up here and watch every syllable I resent that and I’ll leave it at all right so let me so let me I know we gotta go to break I know we gotta go to break welcome to the world of being a woman Stephen A and how you have to dance about your word choice and you have to please everybody and anybody as you navigate your being we are talking about the world’s greatest being a black man being black so so this is what I’m saying to y’all though and I know we got to go to break and we didn’t necessarily go there maybe we should there are so many layers in this conversation around the way that it’s being discussed when you right no no no and yes Shannon I know y’all are gonna say you know and Stephen I know you’re gonna you just shared that you have talked about the WV in your program too you guys may not have said everybody but the prevailing sentiment for folks that are just joining the WBA and following women’s sports is unfair to the women of this league to your point who have laid the groundwork for Kaitlin Clark to come in and now take it to the next level that’s all I’m saying in these conversations Kennedy Carter’s behavior is not indicative of the entire league we are still talking about competition where you are allowed to get a little extra elbow in if you are competing and you do it within the parameters of the game the game is physical Caitlyn is helping to grow the league these women understand that but she cannot be babied as a rookie that’s all I’m at all right who talks about talk about the WNBA who talks about women who talk about women sports more more than more than first Stephen A respectfully with your platform you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to wow all right we gotta go you guys so so did you you’re my guy but who does more for than us I’m talking to you I’m talking to you don’t do that I’m talking to you about the power that you have okay I’m talking to you okay okay you’re my guy but I’m talking to you I got it guys guys guys I really appreciate my girl but youve missed a lot of episodes of first take you missed a lot Stephen three years ago you were not talking about the W at this level don’t do that nobody want Monica you making Stephen a point mon Monica me do my job please let me do my job we’ve gone for 40 minutes straight it was a riveting discussion I have to get into a commercial break man that was that was uh yeah that was fiery tring thing for me and hopefully that was fiery right so um this is what I liked about that right Monica mnet was up there um it was her and it was Stephen A and Shannon sharp if you listen to that whole thing which First Take has taken off of YouTube on their uh on their ESPN uh Channel I guess they don’t want that there for some reason so it’s gonna be hard to find the full clip um um but you might you might be able to find somebody because I think there’s a lot of channels on YouTube that record uh first take stuff and then they repost it like it’s theirs and uh some of that stuff get VI so you might be able to find it but um the whole the whole the whole way it went down is that was Shannon and and Stephen A Smith trying to prove to the world and to force Monica mcnet to admit that based on that hip check that happened between Caitlyn Clark and Kennedy Carter proves that the WNBA girls are jealous of Caitlyn Clark and then Stephen A Smith took it a step further to say that the reason they’re jealous is because she’s white and because she’s uh getting way more out of the WNBA and out of the you know um uh endorsements and stuff like that then she’s earned because she she she got all of it before she played a step or or before she stepped foot on the WNBA court right and Monica minan is trying to tell them no that’s no this is how they like Kennedy Carter plays like that against everyone and she’s fiery and she’s been in trouble for a lot of it for for someone to admit they don’t like a lot of people thought it was a joke they would show her picture on social media and say who is this girl I’ve never heard a name a day in my life uh the only reason why I know her name is because of Caitlin Clark so for you to admit you don’t even know who that is you can’t really have a dog in the fight when it when the conversation happened because if you knew her you would know she plays like that every night you would know that she’s got kicked off of teams for being fiery trying to fight people you would know that’s in her character so to connect that to jealousy is dumb it’s almost like if we know Draymond Green does things like that and then we one day see him like when he did it to LeBron James Jeremiah Green plays like that for you to say that the reason why he punched LeBron James between his legs is because he jealous of them is obvious that LeBron makes more than him it’s obviously that LeBron’s the face of the league just like everyone saying Caitlyn is so everything that is done to her does not mean jealousy I mean it’s so it’s so lame and so uh lazy to even just make that connection oh it’s automatically jealousy oh they fou her hard oh jealousy that don’t make no sense to me because what you’re asking them is either I’m going to be jealous or I’m not going to be able to touch her what are you asking for right and and the reason why I like that Monica Manet pushed back on all of that uh and the way she did it um is because it needed to be done it was necessary no it’s not jealousy no they they’re they’re just hooping that’s that’s how we hoop right and um and she’s also going to point out the fact that listen if you want to promote the league you got a lot of opportunity to promote it like you look at angel Reese’s following on uh Instagram and x and all that stuff this girl got millions of followers that mean there’s millions of people that want to see her play too there’s millions of people that want to see both her and Clark play but I guarantee you if people knew more about juel Lord and Audrey Wilson and Stewie and danana Bonner and uh k coer uh uh what Khia copper um you know all of these players man I’m pretty sure if they knew about them and they could see them play they would be excited about them too it’s good ballers in the WNBA it’s good basketball it’s good players a lot better than what we got in Caitlin Clark right now so we can’t change the whole league just so we can see Caitlin Clark Spin and like I said earlier if you do change it the players that are better than her are going to still outshot her because it’s going to be easier for them too so I mean I mean it’s just food for thought right so um when it got toward the end and Monica mut brought up the point that Stephen A Smith could have been following the and covering the WNBA three years ago when he first got executive producer rights to the show and Stephen A Smith was taken AB back by it uh I didn’t mind that she said that because what he was try I mean because she made a point and she tried he tried to come back with who talks about the WNBA first take like he wanted a cookie because he talk about the WNBA every now and then well you don’t get a cookie for because you could have done more and you could have done it a long time ago why are you here now and why are you here causing controversy like the fact that you haven’t been talking about them and you’re talking about them now but the what you decide to talk about is controversy and stirring up controversy within the league you’re messy and if you really wanted to talk about WBA be honest about it she played a game on what was it Friday when she got hip checked and then she had a back toback and played against Saturday against the liberty and only had three points so her last game was the worst game of of NBA career she lost by 37 points she only had three points missed everything she threw up as a matter of fact I think she hit her first shot everything after that was bricks so that’s the last game she had and then another day goes by and then Monday morning pops up and First Take was like Hey man ignore that game for three points let’s go back to the game before that which is cool because I’m doing it too you know it’s cool but then don’t come back and brag like who talks about WB more than I do and expect her to Dag on sugarcoat the answer and not be honest and she was like look Stephen you could have been talked about them don’t brag like you talking about them now don’t brag about it now three years ago you could have been talking about them we could have been getting attention on that and he was just like Oh I’m a Paul right I’m aul and then he goes on his podcast and try to make it seem like look man I I I invite females on my show what is she talking about yeah she’s talking about you not talking about the WNBA not not that you don’t support women you you didn’t talk about the WNBA it’s totally different from you not supporting women women right so I mean the fact that he tried to make a point like that is crazy but it didn’t stop there AUM I love what she had to say as well frating thing for me and hopefully I don’t freeze up this time is that if you also know each and every player of the WNBA the idea that women have to be mindful of how they compete and also the idea that the WNBA is a monolith is a you know kind of a dangerous thought because the WNBA is a Melting Pot of women who compete differently and I do think when you have an incident that happens with Caitlyn Clark that becomes magnified I played with Kennedy Carter for the Los Angeles Sparks and the way she competed against Caitlyn is the way that she has competed against everyone she has gone up against and at times it has worked to her detriment we are so caught up dissecting the growth of w the women’s game that we are missing out on the goodies I keep telling people why can’t all growth all ways that women compete be good for the game yes there was an out of- bounds play and I say that that is not indicative of how everyone plays in The W but unfortunately when we talk about Caitlyn Clark who rightfully has brought the Lion Share of what we are seeing right now that notion that Caitlyn is constantly acknowledged it’s true she has brought so much good and growth and we want to protect that but not at the expense of people competing and I think the people that compete sometimes get erased because of moments like this the sentiments of growth that people talk about and I’ll just finish W wrapping really quick right here the sentiments of growth in acknowledging Caitlyn’s impact are not Amplified by the media it’s the outliers the controversial 1% that is Amplified over and over again and I think that’s where have to do better and that’s why Monica and I and so many others exist to sort of help Usher in that reality a lot of the new fans who are excited about the game and that we are welcoming to the game only want to hear the praise of one player because that is the only thing that brought them here and that’s perfectly fine but it should not come at the complete eraser of how everyone in the league competes even in its worst moments and unfortunately the moment happened that a lot of people attract this entire narrative to a league and I hope they don’t they choose not to make that continually happen in the moving forward that that’s a good point she said you know uh we we got to appreciate what Caitlin C has done uh to bring uh new eyes to the league and and the new demographic and all that stuff but those those people that follow her from college to the pros they came here to see her and that’s perfectly fine however as a media base you got to be a little bit more responsible because if you if you really want the the league to grow because right now what we fell in love with Caitlyn for in college she can’t produce right now so it’ll be smarter for the WNBA to market the girls who can produce the Caitlyn Clark fans they gonna go to her games regardless because they love Caitlyn Clark but if some of these kids that never seen some of these other great players play actually see them being marketed then you probably could pull that a new demographic in as well for for for those players and if you do that and you use all the tool you got in your tool box and not just one I mean if you’re trying to do a real good job on something and you trying to fix something because the WNBA is broken if you’re trying to fix it and I give you a toolbox with every sharp tool that you can think of don’t just grab the screwdriver and try to hammer something down and then also try to use it as a wrench use it as a screwdriver so whatever targeted audience that you want with Caitlyn use Caitlyn for that target audience but there a whole another demographic that you’re probably not getting because you’re marketing someone that’s more diverse or not more diverse but different from Caitlyn Clark in a lot of different ways maybe a big a big girl that plays in the post it might be some six foot four girl out there six foot five girl out there who needs someone to watch the model her game out of right it might be someone from a different background or upgr who who needs someone to look like her so she can say ah I can see someone like me like it took Obama to uh run for president before you could see black kids saying heang that’s actually possible I could be the president of of of of the of the Free World that’s possible we have to see ourselves in someone to help us believe not everybody but some people but if you’re really interested in growing this league you got to grab every demographic that’s available to you and you have a very diverse and Melting Pot like uh basketball culture and and and and League utilize it utilize it just because it’s one person springboarded everything doesn’t mean you go to the well on it because obviously she can’t carry the league right now she’s not ready to carry the league she’s not good enough to produce the way her fans want to see her produce and they’re crying about it they’re mad about it they’re lashing out at everyone who’s playing defense on her everyone who fouls her hard they’re lashing out at them and they don’t know enough about the leag to know that that’s normal that’s been going on in the league for 20 plus years it’s not jealousy it’s not any of those things you think it is it’s just basketball I’mma open the phone lines up let’s hear your thoughts on it uh I think my let’s hear y’all thoughts on it um as a matter of fact let’s go ahead and um play uh Kennedy Carter because you know she didn’t answer Katlin cart questions uh in the post game but a day later here she is asking him uh uh questions uh before her game tonight at the end of the day I’m a competitor now that it’s another day I’ve had an off day now I can answer your questions and I can let you know how I really feel about things but I’m a competitor and I’m going to compete no matter who you are and no matter who’s in front of me so that’s just what it was he in the moment play we’re getting at it we’re going back and forth It’s basketball it’s all Hoops after we finish the game it’s all love do you have any regrets on how it happened and everything that’s happened since then um I don’t have any regrets with anything I’m going to compete and play 100% hard no matter who it is like I said or who we’re playing no no I don’t have any regrets did you realize this was going to become a big National story um it it has became a big National story we’ve had things that have been thrown into Hoops like racism and just different things thrown to players that shouldn’t even been brought up this is a game I love this is a game I’m passionate about and at the end of the day I’m thankful that I’m able to display it to everybody and if you if you’re going to watch the game watch all of the game before you make opinions just watch the whole game and get to know the players those that saying you don’t know players you haven’t watched the WNBA get to know your players that are already here and already in this league know all talking about how the are jealous and envious and and then I said okay well let me start watching man and I start watching and I start seeing and I’m looking like wait a minute hold up they’re being aggressive in playing defense well I watch women basketball they play defense they actually play defense they actually play the game of basketball and so that’s when we start then I start videotaping and putting it on put it on there and saying can somebody explain why they shouldn’t be bodying her up and not letting her get to ball they should be Bing her up correct and and and just all you know to wrap it up I just determine now man it’s the media trying to leverage her and make money that’s what they’re trying to do and what’s happening is those other players are getting in the way of their marketing dollars and I’m not talking about the consumer I’m talking about the corporate correct and that’s what I think is going on and they trying to make them them them ladies you know bow down and they should not they should go and play the game do do you think those corporate suits you know because you know at the top they all rub elbows and talk and you know because you know they all in bed together right do you think that those corporate suits are talking to platforms like ESPN and saying hey we need your your voices on your platform to go out out and speak against all of this physical play against citn Clark because we can’t continue to Market and sell her merch if she’s not performing and do do you think they’re using the media to put pressure on the WNBA to make changes yes I think they’ve already metad so that’s why you see it already so we all know how the NBA makes some of his money it makes this money how by getting money from the ESPN you know and then ESPN pay them so if so what’s going to happen is you gonna get you GNA have the corporate Corporation you gonna have ESPN and then you gonna have and they are they have to partner together and they need somebody and that’s and and and I don’t want to get off the subject but it’s the same thing as LeBron James once they found LeBron James that was it for Co and that’s what they trying to do again but them ladies are not allowing it so they’ve already met they already got planned yeah and remember this last part everything’s about advertising now they want they they feel they can advertise uh advertise her but they can’t advertise Angela ree the way you know from a corporate level correct so Angela ree is gonna get hers you know from like the local so she gonna get her deal but it’s gonna be kind of the minority in a way that’s what she’s going to be able to sell to you know like the Taco Bell and all that she got that but we talking about globally or us wide you you already know who they are correct so last thing before you go um do you think uh as far as marketability uh it might be true that Caitlyn cart might be the most marketable player right it it that might be true but as far as production on the court do you think she’s worthy of being heavily marketed and and coined as the face of the league because most of the guys in the NBA who has been the face of the league actually had the game to match do you think that this is a do you think this is gonna fall apart for who’s trying to Market her and do you think they gonna get their money back because right now if if she can’t break through this and get through this and actually start balling it’s going to be bad for them I’m G I’m gonna tell you this and and I’m just gonna be honest because I’ve been processing I looked at her man do I think she’s gonna go in the weight room no do I think the only thing she got on her side is she got her father is she GNA listen to her father and day it’s not personal I promise you it’s based off where our stories and what we’ve come from we’ve come from so many different places that you guys have never seen or would never understand so just Carolina her head coach one graft Pi was she yes she was her head coach has a statement saying this is the exact same treatment that they was giving Boston last season and it needs to stop so she’s saying that Boston got this exact same treatment last year as a number one draft pick planned for the Indiana Fever and the best player on the team and she made Allstar as well last year she saying Boston got the exact treatment last year are you aware of that nope I just found out now all right so and that’s and that’s why you come to shows like this man because we got the facts I appreciate the call man yeah yep yeah so yeah she’s not the only one even on her team getting fouled like this uh she’s the only rookie right now and she’s getting most of the attention now but Boston was getting it last year right so um fourth quarter happened after that multiple events happened after that guys so we just got to let that play go like but the the fact that the league waited a day to fact that she was going against a lot of subpar opponents and defenses but now you playing against Elite athletes and women at your level of sport and you can’t hide them flaws that easily now everybody got tape on you everybody knows what to do push you right because you can’t you can’t shoot and drive to your right you only like shooting to your left you lack on defense and you you have a lot of turnover issues yeah but this is stuff we already knew in college but because she could put up a 40 piece by shooting from the logo it was okay it was cool it’s like it’s like Luca Luca can put up outstanding numbers but y’all forget that he has glaring holes in his free throws and his defense yeah so I guess I guess I guess the media conditioning is is bleeding over into the WNBA because Andrew Reese just got ejected from the game and they said it was for no reason I can’t I can’t wait to watch that play back like uh probably not like everybody but I got the WNBA league pass it’s only thing for uh uh Chanel gum uh and then I move on to the last topic which is LeBron James is my state of the union WNBA Edition I let’s start with the play for those who may be new to this the WBA has always been a physical League full of competitive fire and trash talk and on the full sequence of that play Caitlyn was talking and in this league no one backs down to trash talk now I have played with Kennedy Carter and her choice to retaliate on a non-basketball play was literally foul and something that she has struggled with her entire career that was not okay but one player’s approach is not indicative of an entire league all rookies especially number one pcks I know what it’s like have been tested mentally physically emotionally from Candace Parker to Sabrina yancu to Kelsey Plum to Skyler diin Smith and a few days ago Alissa Thomas was just ejected for a hard play on Angel ree plays like this happen in sports but now it’s being used to further agendas that don’t serve the game so when it comes to women’s athletes there’s this expectation that players in the heat of the game should constantly stop what they’re doing and be appreciative of K they should bow down instead of being the competitors that they are these women are Elite basketball players who are competitors who show up and show every night before the eyes were there on the game we all know and we appreciate the unparalleled amount of growth and attention that Caitlyn I’m her biggest fan is driving to help become the beacon of so much interest and engagement and viewership to this game but that narrative that actually does a diservice to her because the ones who grind through that type of grind become beasts this is not not hate this is Hoops like any other sport that is profession professional at the highest level and I hope people truly get to understand that it’s not hate it’s hoops and I couldn’t I couldn’t have said that better myself man I I I enjoyed the way she uh broke that down and I hope everybody start to see it that way man uh Caitlyn will be fine Caitlyn will figure out how to play through that physicality this is what the league is uh every player comes in and just like Don terasi said before the season started reality is coming there’s always going to be a learning curve especially for rookies when you come to League you got to you got to learn how we do these things you got to learn WNBA politics and you got to learn how to deal with that physicality and once you figure that out and you are what everybody is saying you are you will be that but if you can’t get through this then you’re not what everyone is saying you are right and that’s my thoughts on that uh let’s move on to LeBron James so LeBron James was on his podcast uh uh with J reick mind the game and he said something interesting about Kyrie Irving that I wanted to uh kind of you know just play for y’all and speak on it because what he said was really I mean I I don’t think I’ve ever heard him say something like this about Kyrie Irving ever since he left Cleveland right so um it was really good to hear him say this but um I seen something else in his whole statement and I and I I’ll tell you what I seen so with Kyrie what is your favorite thing about Kyrie the basketball player I listen I will call Kyrie the wizard all the time like all the time like there was nothing on the basketball floor that Kyrie couldn’t do and sitting here watching it you know I’m like I’m playing like so [ __ ] happy and so proud and to watch him and continue his growth or whatever the case may be and at the same time I’m so [ __ ] mad at the same time that I am not his running mate anymore so I’m like I just remember those times and to back to what you were saying JJ like he to have a guy like Kyrie irvan as the ultimate wild card that’s like having a that’s like having a draw four in your hand every time someone deals you cars in Uno like every single time because he has the ability to like you said I saw in game one West Conference Finals game one you know I think up until that point I don’t know the the the stat because I’m not writing down the stats and I don’t call the games like you guys but I think Kyrie was only averaging like eight points in the first half like in the second round of the playoffs you know he was he was getting it 16 to 20 in the in the in in the second half but in the first half of games you know he was like it was like 68 yeah I don’t know the EXA number was 6 you and and you’re like okay you know you know you’re gonna have Kyrie in fourth but but I need you sometimes in the first half too brother but like what he did in game one it was like the Western confence finers you was like and that was like oh [ __ ] Dallas may be able to not only win the Western Conference Finals they might be able to win the whole thing because of that wild card I don’t I don’t I have so many words to praise Kyrie that I end up with absolutely none because it’s just it’s so he’s the most gifted player the NBA has ever seen he has the best gifts I’ve ever seen of any NBA player I’ve never seen a guy in my NBA life that feels better at times shooting with his off hand than he does with his with his primary hand if Kyrie’s off in a game with his right hand he will literally go exclusively to his left hand I’ve never seen nothing like that the shot one thing I’m think the shot that he made versus Denver towards the regular end of the regular season on on Joker yeah is one of the most ridiculous shots I’ve ever seen in my life yeah he’s just that special I I said so he said a lot of things in there one of the things he said is that Kyrie Irving is the most gifted basketball player that has ever played in the NBA he said that he also said that even when he watches him play it brings him Joy it makes him smile but at the same time he gets so mad because he’s not his running mate anymore uh which is interesting because uh this is a a a point that Kyrie Irving had already got to years ago um I think maybe last year year before last maybe when he was in Brooklyn and I think I did a video on this and was kind of strategic but I think it was also true at the same time I think he was getting so much Flack from the media and he understood that the media was coming at him so much because of their love for LeBron James and they felt like Kyrie Irving did something to LeBron that you know you know pissed him off and pissed his fans and his media off and that’s by leaving Cleveland you know uh and and he took a couple of shots at him not not purposely I when he joined up with Kevin Durant and he said that uh you know playing with Kevin Durant you know this is the first time I got a guy that I’m playing with they can hit that shot like I can right that game wining shot like I can everybody was like man what do you mean you play with LeBron he’s in the goat debate blah blah blah you know but what he was saying is it been a pure score basically what LeBron is saying about Kyrie Irving right now is what Kyrie was saying then about Kevin Durant right another pure score like you know as great as I am as a basketball player the way I shoot the way I score Kyrie Irving got that to his game and he got a bag and he got wiggle right you know I heard somebody say he dribble incursive right you know Kyrie is just that dude and he’s saying dang I finally get to play with Kevin Durant he’s he’s he’s Cut From the Same Cloth it wasn’t a slight at LeBron but it’s obvious that LeBron ain’t a score like Kevin Durant or Kyrie now he can put up the same amount of points by getting to the but for me to say that Elijah Juan and Shaquille O’Neal is the same type of score is not is not accurate they might can both put up 30 but the way sha go put up 30 is by dunking you into the rim and elijahwan can do it in every way possible on the basketball court that’s what Kyrie and KD is and LeBron is a guy I’m gonna take you to the hole I’m gonna dunk you in the rim you can’t stop it every now and then I’m going hit a jump shot every now and then I’m going hit a three-pointer but that think what his game is he would rather pass for that final shot and that’s why Kyrie Irving was so important to LeBron so when LeBron said that uh he’s the most gifted player and he praised the way he scored and he said man I’m mad that I’m not his running mate anymore because he sees how easily he just came over there and made Luca go from getting clapped in the uh playoffs to making it all way to the finals beating the number one Squad in the league in OKC and then beating uh um uh Minnesota who had the number one defense in the league when they see how easy it is for Kyrie to score and it be someone’s running mate like that LeBron is like sh if I had him in La I could chill and somebody I could do all this stuff that Luca is doing I could facilitate I could still get my points but guess what I got the luxury of doing in the fourth quarter I got a guy who can take over like Kobe the luxury of being the guy who get all the credit as the number one and then when it’s crunch time if you ain’t got it this guy nine times out of 10 is gonna have it he’s that good like he is on so much I can rely on him like a Kobe or Michael Jordan the luxury of being the best player on the team and you can pick and choose whether you want to do it or you can give it to like if I’m hot and I’m missing I’m making shots and I feel I I feel like hot then maybe I I take the shot but if more more than likely since that ain’t really my game I’m not going to be like that I got the luxury of saying hey hey young fell this your time Kyrie Irving is the dog that’s on the leash that got a lot of chain but you holding it back and holding it back because he he can take over anytime he want to but you want to hold him back and hold him back but then you can also say okay now it now now go do your thing and he can go do it almost every single still won is my point no no no the one the one they won was when Kyrie and Kevin Love was hurt it was LeBron by himself with J.R Smith and delova right so they they won that series then they came back and there was a healthy Kyrie and a healthy love we both agreed that Kyrie and Curry is on the same level so if Curry is your best player and he’s on the same level with the Cav second best player Who’s Lebron James equal nobody right so you had a you had a mismatch the only reason why it was even competitive is because LeBron uh his system is so flawed that predictable right so you have to do a lot of heavy lifting to win with that system that’s the only why I was why I was even but LeBron didn’t have a equal in that Series right and Kyrie Irving was eating Steph Curry’s lunch in front of his face that his wife made right so so they knew that they couldn’t no longer beat a healthy Cavs team unless they get someone for uh Lebron James that’s why they had to go get Kevin Durant who was the guy who everyone said was either the best player in the league or the second best behind LeBron so now LeBron has a equal and Steph Curry has an equal with Kyrie now let’s see who’s gonna win well the best offense won because the Cavs don’t run an offense as sophisticated as the Warriors so that’s not that’s the first point the second point is even with Kevin Durant the Warriors barely got pass Harden in the Rockets if if CP3 they get hurt it lights out for them right the last point is that they gave up so many pieces that’s why I can’t say Kevin Durant was just plug and play the style that they played people thought they just ran up and shot threes they did but they had a really good defense they had a three and D player in Harrison Barnes they had a three and D player in eiga they had wasn’t just his offense so no no no he wasn’t just plug and play he was the engine for the I mean Steph the the St the offense still ran through Steph but Kevin Durant was a freaking monster no I’m against him with even with that that Brooklyn team they put together when they had Harden and Kyrie Irving that was up on on the Milwaukee bus two and and was beat them 20 and 30 points like Jeff Teague on his podcast said man we knew was we knew he was going home and four we knew he was getting swept and then Kyrie Irving got hurt and then the next game James Harden got hurt and Kevin Durant still almost beat them in game seven which means they would have been playing the Atlanta Hawks Nets they would have easily got to the finals don’t know if they would have won it it would have depend supporting um cast that the other three have but I’m not gonna sit here and say that they’re only targeting kit Clark because like you said earlier I’ve seen that angel Reese when she got body SL you know what I mean so yeah well the supporting Cass is only responsible to help her get win so to explain why she’s not winning I would put that on The Supporting Cast but to explain why she going out there uh uh scoring three points and eight points in in in key games and you can’t get it done and you look like totally different from what you looked in college that ain’t got nothing to do with her Supporting Cast yeah she’s forcing it don’t she’s definitely forcing a lot of shots so yeah she looking like agre yeah she looking like Jimmer for dead out there but uh not not College Jimmer n not not College gimmer looking like Pro Jimmer or or or Pro Adam Morrison Sacramento gimmer yeah yeah and I’m still and Jimmer for for that still a bucket I I want I wish he would come back in the league
