Anthony Edwards standing by out there at ball Arena where Minnesota has taken game seven uh on the 20th anniversary of their last and only game seven win Ant-Man thanks a lot for taking a few minutes with us uh we appreciate it okay so look so you’re down 15 at the half you’re down 20 early in the Third how did you maintain some Poise uh be patient and make this happen I was tough man cuz I I I couldn’t find myself my rhythm tonight um so I just had to trust my teammates man they they kept trapping me even though I was off so I just had to make the right play throughout the rest of the game and and and I did that and my teammates made shots man so big big shout out to those guys an VC here congratulations to you let’s talk about the fourth quarter well throughout the three quarters you know they made it tough for you double teaming you see like you said you trusted your team and you found life in the fourth where you saw a couple of baskets go go through you got the big to the dunk tell me about that um I mean you know there more ways to win a basketball game um when you’re just not when you’re just not an offensive player man I’m not I’m not onedimensional I’m not just a guy who can score I’m a guy who can go whoever they best guard is I can go lock him down so I feel like I did that on Jamal in the fourth quarter and that’s what turn in the third quarter and fourth quarter and that’s what turned the game around well and uh CB man congratulations man uh it’s an honor to watch you play okay I have not been to Minnesota in probably 20 years bring gas hey hey can you send me a list of good restaurants we’re GNA be there for like five days I want you to send me a list of some good restaurants okay yeah yeah I’m I’mma find your number through somebody I’mma send them to you I appreciate it my brother congratulations I’ll see you Wednesday appreciate it baby well if you want his number it’s five5 hey what’s going on congratulations first up baby uh I think overall the one thing you talk about patience you talk about all of the different things that your teammates did but at game seven on the Champs floor the feeling and the anxiety before after enduring can you explain that man it was a big time you know I think Our poise was the most thing we we was very poised throughout the entire game we was down 15 at the half we came in the locker room FY like hey Aunt you got to play quicker you got to play quicker if they going to continue to trap you got to make the right play and trust your teammates and we was just poised throughout the entire game they went up 20 we is fought fought and cat play spectacular tonight man he he carried us tonight a uh if you were going to I know you you your reference cat there but if you were going to hand out a game ball for this effort who would get Jaden McDaniels no question no question hey look um we appreciate you we’re happy for you we’re looking forward to getting to Minneapolis this week and uh watching the first two games of this Series against the Dallas Mavericks early thoughts on playing the Mavs it’s going to be fun man you know um my my matchup going to be Kyrie so that’s going to be fine we’re going to see what what I can do vers him appreciate your time go dogs yes sir [Applause]
