cam Smith who played alongside Rob burrow here at headingley and was also coached by Rob can you just put into word your emotions tonight yeah it’s a real emotional night and um you know I think it’s amazing to see the amount of people that have come and paid the respects um you know Rob was a truly great person and um a real bubbly character and um you can see the effects that he’s had on the amount of people not just across leads but across the whole of the UK and the rubby League community how many people have come and paid respects tonight I thought it would just important that um you know us players come down and paid our respects for um you know for for the Rob who was such a hero let’s talk first about Rob the player because you as a youngster played alongside him when you were coming through here at heading Lee putting to words what he meant to lead Ryo first of all as a player um wow he uh you know was so courageous and uh played above his weight he was a real Maverick when he with the ball and um you know he’s looked like something was going going to happen every time he touched the ball you know I fortunate enough to get a couple of games with him um but uh you know it was my Academy coach firstly and uh you know he taught me a lot about the game and you know just have to be a good good teammate and a good bloke um but yeah he he was a truly tremendous player was he and um he’s left a tremendous Legacy you know being so successful for that the amount of time that they played at leads and what about Rob the human being because I think you’ll struggle to find anyone who has a bad word to say about Rob he was just such a fantastic guy yeah I don’t think you’d find one and um he was always that bubbly guy in the dressing room always cracking jokes and uh we used to travel to training a handful of times and you know it’ be constant laughter on the way and uh whenever anybody were around him you know know everyone were laughing and smiling so um yeah it was you know what amazing low years it it’s an incredibly sad night but as you mentioned there he was a fun guy Rob wasn’t he he was always had a mischievous look on his face and he was usually up to something yeah he was always up to something you know pranking people in the dressing room or you know just just cracking jokes and uh yeah he’s a truly amazing person and uh the awareness that he’s he’s put on for the M andd the work that Kevin’s done um you know while he’s been uh having this battle has been amazing and uh you know the work that he’ll that Kevin will continue to do to raise the awareness not only you know in in the UK but around the world um you know the work that’s gone into that is also amazing brilliant we thank you for your time today I know it’s difficult thank you for speaking to us on on Sky Sports News

R.I.P Rob 🤝🫶 respect prayers 🤲 and condolences to Robs family and friends MND is a horrible disease Rob took it on right to the end what a man heart and courage of a 🦁 Lion you will always be with us in Spirit Rob Kevin will keep MND in the news 🗞️ with his outstanding charity work to keep it in the news all the time and raise as much money as possible to find a cure for this awful disease respect 🤝 to Kevin two lads who are like brothers marching on together keep fighting 🦚🦏🏐🏉🫶🤲🤍💛💙🕊️🪽

  2. Was ☆Rob one of the bravest men in the world? WW2 spirit of the brave fallen was strong in him. Last time i felt this moved & touched was when brave 3 🦁 Bobby Moore died too young.
    Rugby Leagues GOAT is out of pain & has moved onto his after life. So Brave. I liked him a lot.
    He is the GOAT RL guy cuz he was an average height average wieght guy who ran rings around literal 6ft 4in Giants.
    At least the pocket rocket is out of pain now & i hope that brings comfort to his nice family.
