[Applause] okay awesome Tom um amazing start obviously uh what was kind of clicking for you on that front nine you know I just I made a few puts obviously um you know I hit four Fairways today that was really tough um it’s really hard you know when it’s raining and you got wet rough but you know I really grinded well today um putter definitely bailed me out a lot um just uh just pretty pretty happy I mean just pre scoring wise you know I felt like I did a really good job of um scoring did you did you have a number in mind at the beginning um I just I heard Rory say it but I thought seven if I got if get 14 today it could really scare some of the leaders because I just felt like like Rory said you know you have to shoot on the par to win and you know this course if you start missing Fairways and you start you know putting yourself in the wrong spots it can really bite you quickly so I thought that was a really good goal especially I didn’t expect the scores to be this low because just of the conditions you know it was kind of like it wasn’t pouring but it was like annoyingly raining consistently um but you know I can I can only control so much and I feel like my game’s in a good spot were you aware Tom when at the beginning when Robert came back a little bit and started to get jumbled up again and you were real I think you you were within maybe two of the lead were you aware when he made that string of bogey of birdies in a row and suddenly the the margin was big again and did that Force you and Rory both to press I feel like after I didn’t really see I I think I just saw once I don’t really like to look at lead boards but I took a quick peek on nine I was four under at the turn and I saw was like a few back and I just kind of had the same number in my if I can get to 14 I can kind of really pressure the leaders come in but um you know after I made that run on starting kind of you know birding 10 biring 12 you know making huge part on like 11 just I thought I was really close and uh I felt like maybe I needed two three two more maybe to come in but obviously a bogie on Bo on 14 but a good Birdie on 18 to kind of just match the day up what were your overall impressions of this golf course obviously the conditions are very very good you know this bent grass I love bent grass the fairways are so pure um I think they did a really good job with the rough you know we don’t really get to see this much rough uh during the season especially unless you go to Memorial and major championships so I felt like the setup was really good um the greens were really tricky to read uh rough but but overall like good shots get really rewarded but at the same time me missing Fairways consistently today I could really see a different part of the golf course and um I feel like you know maybe some some of the bunkers that I know they redid it I’ve this is my first time here but some of the bunkers I think if they just adjusted it’d be unbelievable but even with even with that it’s still a really good golf course thank I want to ask you about having fall in the back Rory said he always enjoys going out and playing around with call what have you done for your game um he’s definitely I think you know this is my first top of the year and um during tough times I think perspective uh he’s just been you know he’s he’s been through everything so like he’s you’ve seen it and the perspective just helps me a lot and just the little things I need to get better I think it’s a constant um constant good relationship that we have to just to kind of figure it out and he’s been a huge help and um it’s been tough sometime but at the same time it’s been nothing but a blast thank you thanks
