dramatic Fashion on the PJ tour the Canadian open Lorie caner wins on the DP World Tour uh we are going to have uh a actionpack show we’re going to start with some US Women’s Open recap we’re going to talk of course RB DC um couple other news and notes from around uh the golf world uh we’re going to bring in kbv who spent a little time on site there this weekend with his daughters I think he’s he’s checking out some of the media uh yucas sas’s media right now TC is going to join a little bit later uh he is traveling this weekend but uh he he’s coming in with some hot some I don’t know what they are he wouldn’t tell us what they are but he’s gonna come bring us three takes that uh I’m sure are just going to be yelling at me about something that I that I probably didn’t say but I greatly look forward to that but uh big if you allow me I’d love to recap the final round of the US Women’s Open for those that maybe didn’t get to see every bit get into it s let’s get into it so we have Andrea Lee M Lee and with chani meai did I do it you’ve messed me up so badly that okay yes you you I I I never even went back and listened to how I pronounced her name originally Friday just because it was going to be too traumatic um but you sir that was well done I’m sure sure Marina Alex and Jane Parker are smiling somewhere as they’re listening to this but uh they began the day tied at the top five under par things were moving very quickly for Andrea Lee early she made a bogey at the first hole while Mii Lee got out and made birdie by the time I got to like a TV to watch today it was already M Lee at six under injury Le was at four uh Mii would then proceed so Andrea then steps up makes Bogi after Bing the first doubles the fourth drives it into a creek has to take a drop just things started to move very very quickly you know you’re in that final group and the everybody else is getting out and running it just looked like a US Open hole she makes she has makes a decent double um she also had a terrible drive on the third got away with it but uh after Min made that birdie she went on to Bogie the thir bogie the 6th Bogi the 9th bogie the 10th found the water on the 12th and made double she that was five over on the day all the way back to even par Randy without even looking I don’t even know where she finished at she got dropped from coverage after being in you know at six under and in the lead she got uh completely dropped from cach she ended the tournament at Plus three she shot 78 today uh meanwhile Yuka saso uh she comes on in four putts the sixth after having such an incredible weak putting um but she rebounds to Birdie the 12th the 13th now she’s got a One-Shot lead over Andrea Lee who battled Andre Lee battled back hard uh just a classic US Open round of like making a bunch of pars making a birdie when when it when it looked like she really needed one rolling one in on the 12th and then saso hit like the two memorable shots from this US Women’s Open she had an incredible five iron into the 15th a shot that like I don’t know how many LPGA players have you know not with iron I mean a lot of them use hybrids start when they get in that part of their bag but it was just a magnificent shot up the hill to just a few feet rolled in a testy little birdie putt on one of the harder holes on the course two shot lead steps up to 16 driveable four the t’s moved up and absolutely stripes a fairway wood I don’t know what Fairway Wood it was I don’t think it was a three-wood I don’t think she would need that much Club because she hits it so far but uh knocks it on two putt birdie she birdies four of the last of her last five um now Andrea Lee is three back going for the green on 16 hits a terrible uh terrible shot that um Morgan Pressel pointed out she put a three-wood in the back just for that shot today she had not carried it at that point this week that thought that was a great nugget from uh from Morgan but um and Andrea battle but just did not have a golf swing today and ends up uh not putting it you know not not doing any damage there she ends up finishing at even par Yuka three put 17 but makes parlon 18 to win her second US Women’s Open in just dramatic incredible fashion 22 years old youngest to win two US Women’s opens losing my breath I feel like Neil after the after the PJ Championship but what’s your what’s your reaction to Yuka wi in her second US Women’s Open well it’s awesome I I think that’s my my first reaction my overriding reaction um just listening to her after afterwards on the green the uh the post round ceremony just I don’t know you can just she’s very likable she’s extremely likeable yes that that thank you that’s what I’m searching for like she’s just somebody you want to root for I I remember three years ago watching the the US Women’s Open at Olympic club and was just so impressed by this teenager right she was still 19 years old uh she was playing under the Filipino flag back then but never gives anything away with with her body language and I would say on the flip side of that is one of the more like when she was rolling there 15 16 just the the the mannerisms and the confidence that was exuding from her was unbelievable to see and to watch and I just love that she has now won two of these things she’s what 22 years old now three years ago um two-time major Champion like honestly I we might have to talk about like is she being done dirty are are the setups week to week too easy is that why Yuka is only winning these us opens um but she’s somebody that has had some close calls you know she was I believe runner up at uh the KPMG last year at baltis RW she just has a ton a ton a ton of game and even though we’re not as familiar with her as a nelly Corda if if I were picking somebody you know not named Nelly to win this week to kind of set the stage for a lot of fun not only this year but for years to come man Yuka winning another US Open would be very high on my list so I’m I’m excited toly I I just think like that you you mentioned her approach shot on 15 our our Good Friend Sophie Walker who calls a lot of golf knows women’s golf more than anybody um she’s like you could just hit shots that nobody else has and that is like the highest of high compliments that’s exact what you want to see coming down the stretch at a major championship you know you want the greatness to shine through and we got that today so I’m I’m pumped man it was awesome I I’m filled with a little bit of regret here Randy if you’ll if you rewind back to 20121 I was I was I was on the Yuka train before she won the US Women’s Open that that that little I forget what tournament it was I think April of that year was kind of like the uh just the oh [ __ ] like this is this is different like this is really different it looked like she was on her way to world number one she had kind of had a tough 2022 uh 2022 had the two close calls in Majors last year and I just kind of lost I don’t want to say I lost faith I lost the enthusiasm for it it looked like it was just going to kind of Peter out and and maybe not be this and I don’t have an answer for why we don’t see this more often from her because when she does do it it it looks again it just looks like some what’s unique about the US Women’s opens that she’s won you guys talked about this Friday like Olympic club and and Lancaster kind of have some similarities in terms of some the elevation changes and the shots required to hold some of these greens but it just requires a um a level of play and a style of play that’s not like bullying the golf course like she has an ability to bully golf courses she hits it so far she can dominate par fives and kind of but I’m just so impressed with her ability to like Meander these really really really difficult challenges the crazy contouring on these greens her Strokes game putting this week was out of this world and some of the hardest greens I’ve ever seen to putt like some of those lip outs were absolutely brutal all the lag putting you had to do on this course leaving it all in the right spots like I yeah I I just I’m I’m flabbergast about what we witness this afternoon I mean watching Everybody struggle on that Golf Course for four days and watching her birdie four out of five holes only one of them really set up that easy one was a par five but only the 16th kind of set up to be easy for a birdie at on the back nine of a major championship to like nail it away was just some of the best golf we see this year yeah yeah I know um I wish I had a good answer for why we haven’t seen her more week to week certainly why she hasn’t been able to to pick off a a regular tour Victory yet um she’s got plenty of top 10 you know even 22 23 um she made what 36 cuts and um uh third of those 12 top 10 so she she puts herself in pretty good position I just have to think you know we’ve seen it twice now when when things get really really difficult she’s somebody that just is is going to be there and it was the putting um you mentioned unbelievable weak putting and it was her driver which is which is a little strange because you know if you take her approach play and aggregate it was it was okay and she had her moments for sure but man it’s it’s the length and the way she can hit the ball off the te you know uh a little Rory maoy s quite honestly I I remember three years ago when when she won at Olympic Club you know she said like I’m trying to model my my driver swing off of Rory and she and Rory actually connected after that and um yeah it’s it’s one of those things I honestly like her being only 22 years old I I hope this kind of unleashes her right I you know we’re we’re talking about like who can who can push Nelly Nelly’s obviously had a historic start to the year um but women’s golf can get really good here if we can get some some players some young players especially International Players uh pushing Nelly and I I think Yuka certainly fits that bill so yeah maybe it’s just like hey when the putter gets that hot um it’s it’s Yuka time I’m I’m not sure but um I I know she is a worthy worthy US Open Champion for sure and somebody Sly I set the reminder in my phone like I just need to pick Yuka for the next decade said it and forget it we’ve we’ve moved off Nelly quickly who I might be on too much of a baseball kick when I when I say watch Uka it’s like we’re watching like a very toolsy player right and it’s yeah you know the fast ball is 70 grade and the slider is like 60 grade the command might be 30 grade you know it might not be there all the time but when it’s there gosh is it like maybe the best like I I hate to do the who’s best is best kind of thing I mean Nelly is more consistent on more LPGA like setups and this is very different but like gassed up man when Yuka gets completely going it’s hard to pick anyone that would be better than her and U this was a totally different test you you guys talked about on Friday with Marina’s line like just like print that up there of like we don’t get tested that often like we don’t get put under scrutiny like you get you know LPGA and PGA Tour events are like exh exhibitions compared to setups like this and tournaments like this in terms of you know uh creating an entertainment product versus identifying the best player in a tournament which is two different things I want to talk some uh about some of that but we have our guy standing by he has spent uh the day on site he is in the media center in his familiar position Kevin Van valkenberg hello kbv how was your day I’m doing fabulous boys thanks for having me thank for being here what what what uh what was the highlight of what you saw out there today uh it was absolutely the five iron that Yuka hit into 15 I was right there behind that and people talk a lot about her driver swing reminding them of Rory but that was like the iron swing that was the first time I was like oh that I’ve seen that before uh I was we talking to a cad uh Dylan vti afterwards and he’s like there’s probably 10 players on the whole tour who can hit that shot yeah uh and that’s just a fact like you know Nell’s won but you couldn’t you be struggle to come up with another nine like it was a a ball above her feet she’s cutting it off that lie and just you know letting it kind of catch the slope there and roll out to three four feet that was just an awesome awesome shot you couldn’t watch that shot and tell me that anybody else was deserving of winning this Championship we’ve been we’ve been trying to figure this out here it’s like why why UK has two US Women’s Open win open wins and no LPGA wins would you have any insight into any of that I think you know caddy was saying a little bit that like it just something lights up with her when the setups get harder like she has enough patience and and doesn’t get emotionally volatile when things start going bad I mean the six hole she for puted today right that would completely thought that she was out of it at that point I mean I was off with Mii I thought well this I’m going to follow the winner I’m going to sort of write a coronation of Mii and slowly like she just starts creeping back creeping back if You’ have told me that that person who’s who four puted six was gonna make you know four birdies on the backside I would have been like you’re crazy but she just has skills that that reward this kind of game I mean it’s kind of Kea like in a little bit we make the Rory comparison but and she knows where to hit it where to not make mistakes and how to not freak out when things kind of go sideways I think that KBB just to score that um again referencing her speaking on the 18th green after um after receiving the trophy you know she she talked about that four put on six it was just you know I I realize English is not her native language so I I can’t imagine giving an interview in in a foreign language but for her to say like third language in her third language but Tom Abid asked her about that four put on six and she was like oh yeah that was a good pin like um that just talking about like that was a good experience I’m I’m GNA I’m going to learn and that’s going to be part of my uh takeaways from this week and and man if she’s carrying that type of mindset around with her and and talking about just you know obviously staying patient enjoying you know trying to enjoy who you’re playing with and and it just it does seep through that I think she like really really likes a difficult golf course and that’s cool to see it is interesting to watch her today and like on 16 before she just absolutely hit that that missile 3-wood she’s laughing it up on the tea she’s kind of joking with her caddy joking with her playing partner and then just all of a sudden like just locks in and just hits a you know a missile that’s probably a 220 carry uphill and and you know that was an awesome awesome jot it’s it it’s so funny like wa watching I watching her next to Andrea Lee again like referring to the tools part of the conversation was just like I have such appreciation for Andrew that’s not a shot of her I was so impressed with her ability to manage her way around that golf course and the shots and the creativity uh that were coming out of that one but uh man it I I’m just I’m on a I’m on a ukah high right now man it was it was so freaking cool the difference only in the height of their like shot exactly Andre’s you know she really is it’s mesmerizing to watch her play in a different way right she’s got to land it with a draw spin so that it’s going you know it’s going to land up short and bounce and roll out 20 yards and that’s awesome to watch but then to watch you could just take get way up in the air and stop it on some of the holes was it’s like oh okay like they both you know you could made an unbelievable shot into 12 and made birdie there and it’s just like wow there’s just again there’s only P 10 people who can do that and that’s why it was fun to sort of watch this kind of setup it’s like it’s a different test well and that’s what this this like when she four puted six right you you you kind of alluded to like oh that that would write them off but what I really really loved about this whole weekend whole week really was like there’s almost nothing you could do aside from making a 10 on the 12th hole like Nelly did there’s almost nothing you do to play yourself out of it like you can you could always rebound and like absolutely nothing was a guarantee right some of the most boring tournaments are like when Mii like if Mii Lee when she got to minus six if that would have been over if there was nowhere for her to go backwards been a pretty boring tournament it really would have but it was like at no point was it like like Ali euwing had a scary a scare in there she drove 16 had a putt to get to one under par and I was like I mean if you if yuk could doesn’t obviously in hindsight that doesn’t look crazy but if yuk could doesn’t go on that run like one under might have been good enough to win this thing that was the most true like us classic US Open I can remember watching in terms of it didn’t it never got ridiculous never got too hard the winner finished at four under par and it felt like you could do anything out there today Ali uing shot 66 or 67 today M Lee shot 78 like that is as I I’m not the first person to say this and won’t be the last of just saluting the course the setup everything that went into this golf tournament was just like I I’m I’m I’m buzzing right now absolutely buzzing the play didn’t feel embarrassed by right there was nobody out here was bitching about saying the setup stunk or that was kind of unfair that they were pushed too hard to the Limit they were all like yeah this is fun this is what a US Open should be and I think that that they ought to usj ought to consider that you know on the men’s side too the men are proba more likely to complain but I this is I just think I hats off to everybody all around for the what what we got this week it it it honestly felt like a throwback you know when I was falling in love with the US Open 20 years ago right at at shinok or 2005 at Pinehurst I remember uh Jason Gore and retif gusen you know shooting those crazy high fourth round scores like we got for coming well to to your point though you you just you like dayto day and certainly on the final day you just can’t trust anything like if somebody’s playing well you can go out and shoot two three under a par but if you’re a little bit off that can snowball into a very high score and I I is a great example you know she hit one bad drive on nine pulled it into the bunker had no chance of getting to the green there had to lay up you could see kind of a little bit of you know air go out of her balloon did not hit it a great approach made sort of a sloppy bogey there and then all of a sudden you know it was like whoa this is starting like she hit a good drive on 10 but hit a bad approach and then made a you know a bad lag putt missed that Putt and then it was like oh my God I think I said in our slack like she’s gonna make a big number on 12 because she is just not hitting call it uh I did call it I said she’s just not hitting her irons precise and when that ball was in the air I was like yep H boy this is the first time I think I’ve I’ve truly made a truly good call because I could tell it was not gonna uh not gonna carry far enough and and rolled back into the creek there yeah I mean she won this tournament two years ago like it’s not like it that’s what reminded me of retif was like yeah retif had won two of the last four Uso opens at 2005 and was the eight 54 Hall leader shot 81 or 80 and was never heard from again in the US Open like it’s just it’s just crazy what this tournament can do to you and uh it was cool to hear how many of the women talk about man I was so nervous out there just the crowd and the the aura of it and you know just talking to a couple other media people like and the women’s US Open means so much to these women you know it is it is like the Masters in US Open combined for them it just is like the crown jewel of it all and so they get so worked up and I think that’s you saw a lot of ejections from some of the top players as they come got in their head like oh man I want this so bad and you know it just puts so much pressure on it even the ones who are playing well are like feeling it every single moment Andrea Lee played great and she was like I was absolutely just completely nervous today I could not calm down and and that is all attributed to the the the can of those greens and the speed of them right like it the shine of those greens is what I’ve played one tournament round where greens got that color and they were that hard and I was [ __ ] myself like it was just like a if you it’s such a separator of talent that’s such an incredible separated of talent like I I can fake it with some of these guys in certain tournaments on soft greens and conditions and when that gets hard like that I’m exposed I am vulnerable I’m out there like everyone feels that pressure of getting exposed and being vulnerable and like when again meni Lee day when you’re a little bit off everything turns into bogey absolutely everything turns into bogey you don’t get the bailout Parts every shot has to be of a certain quality right or or it can get away from you there was a tiny sprinkle of rain in the air on the back n and I almost feel like it was almost like mental for some of the players it was just like oh God like like take away some of that shininess on the on the green so that I don’t have to like completely like clench up over some of these sixf Footers which I’ll say talking about this I I was just I’m flab acid by Yuka taking a probably was like a a a a sand wedge lob wedge on the 18th just off the green like the confidence on a tight lie in that spot to to take a high lofted uh wedge to to chip up her third obviously executed it but it’s like I can’t imagine a situation in my life where I am not hitting a hybrid or a putter there like that was just like holy [ __ ] I don’t know if you heard I don’t know if you heard her say it but she said oh yeah I was short yesterday so I tell myself be more aggressive on your Chip Shot like this can you imagine standing over a ball with a two- shot lead if you blade it into the crowd like you’re it’s all you got the tough one coming back yeah I know let me stop both you guys here they don’t think like this this is how this is how we think you could be amazed by that all you want like there’s something to I always I mean every like of every Pro I’ve ever asked about like man are you not nervous like on the 72 hole you have a chance to win and almost unanimously they’re like I I’m like more nervous trying to make the cut because my game is iffy and like when I’m in when you’re in contention you just have all this momentum this adrenaline like your game is there you can’t make it to the 7c green and not you know 72 hole and not have your game be there other than fill it Wingfoot maybe in 2006 like you know there’s just that level that confidence that exudes through man this like I I was trying to think back on this this is the first US Women’s Open that’s really done it for me since uh Country Club at Charon in 19 right champions in 20 didn’t do a whole lot for me that was a weird year December I know all that Olympic was was fine but it just didn’t you know I I weirdly like Olympic I know you don’t love it as a golf course but I I like it it it it just didn’t play it didn’t play like this right it didn’t play this like entertaining um pine needles most definitely didn’t Pebble was awesome for a variety of different reasons but it wasn’t this kind of test right and that’s what um you know maybe this isn’t what everyone else wants out of a out of a you know a television product and and a championship and a tournament like all we’re going to do is share our opinions on things on on this show and like contrast this with vajala like look I think there’s a discussion to be had right on like hey is the tournament’s responsibility like is the tournament’s goal to create the best entertainment product the best leaderboard the best package and set up a tournament similar to being rewarded most of the tournaments that we see because that’s most recognizable names play the best at the tournaments you know that’s the lpj tour and the PJ tour have created or do you want to do you want to hold the best Championship right and like this very clearly to me answered the question do you want to hold the best championship and like everything was exacerbated by the crowd the condition of the course as well like you can’t just think they got some luck with weather that some of the other US Open venues have not had as well but it just all added up to a really fantastic we I don’t know again like for the business of golf is this going to translate to massive television ratings for this weekend I doubt it without Nelly being involved I doubt it but that doesn’t that’s not where I why I watch golf for is for for every for you know the massim amount of people watch I watch it to be entertained that was that checked every box it did make me wish and I think you guys were talking about the same thing this SL is like I sure wish there were like bunch of oil money in central Pennsylvania so that this could be like our Chevron right if this imagine if this was the major we came back to every single year Lancaster showed out this week I mean I was only up here for two days but man it was a just a I heard such good reports from people who stayed in town all week and that so many people you know just like so thankful that like the US Open was here and talking to me and like grabbing me on the Rope line and be like oh this is so awesome so great that to have you know the the whole National media here and stuff seeing Lancaster it’s just a cool spot I mean I got to play this course two years ago uh in like a Friday egg event and it is awesome if I had like a national membership somewhere that was like reasonable to drive to Lancaster would be very high on the list of places I’d want I thought I thought Mike Juan said it best like you’re no longer a Hidden Gem Lancaster like you deserve to be mentioned with some of the best clubs in in this country it it was fantastic and it might be time to Circle back at the emails we got from Carlton Woods members after the Chevron of like if do if y’all do You’ all want to go head tohe head against that do you want to do a Ho by ho comparison of all that like do you want like that again this is why we we have these conversations this is why we you know talk about this stuff it’s like that’s two very very very different things and I I I yeah that exactly not all golf courses you know not everything is great how about that not every not every Golf Course is great but just just to reiterate so real quick like the the membership you know they’ve been playing off a mat since last October and they’re in a part of the country where they don’t have the longest golf season it’s maybe seven months and you know I guess I’ll use the word sacrifice but it just them being behind this championship and and the people in the area and and Greater Philadelphia shout out Tron it just it makes such a difference and you know I felt that permeate through the TV Kevin I I wasn’t there like you were but it just everything builds and then you layer in uh the NBC coverage this week which we can get into but I thought they did a fantastic job covering this and making it feel like a major major deal in the World of Golf and it just like that that is not an insignificant part of like why I’m like so jacked today like why like this is this fills my cup watching watching a tournament like that on a course like that with the support and the broadcast like it’s we know they can do it we we know you know we we know what’s possible and I think that’s what makes it frustrating uh on some of the other weeks where it’s like damn I know what’s what is possible B I did have a hand of God a big strong man with tears in his eyes grabb me on the Rope line so tells TC that we are Philly adjacent it’s like an hour and 10 minutes from here that is absolutely Philly adjacent so I’m sending word back to DC that he heard um the only thing that is a I mean there’s no shortage of incredible US Women’s Open sites coming up I mean they have Aaron Hills in next year Riviera in 26 iness in 27 Oakman in 28 Pinehurst in 29 Interlocken Oakland Hills LACC Chicago Golf Club Maran Pebble Beach shinok sh all of that before before our first opening in 2037 which is to say I Lancaster is not on the list and gosh it feels like a should be and I that’s the only thing I’m sad about today is is uh it almost feels like it should be somewhat of an anchoright of something so I mean it it would be a fantastic site to put a solheim cup maybe before the next US Women’s Open um you know I I know the the PJ of America and the USGA kind of stay in separate Lanes but God it I if Lancaster wants to host more events let’s get to Lancaster because it it was F fantastic and I I I have the utmost Faith Randy that the next time they have a US Women’s Open at this at this course you will call it Lancaster and you will call it by its proper name I I have complete faith in you despite what anybody else is saying I totally totally think you can do itk uh Kev last one we’ll let you go I know you got some stuff to do you had your uh your daughters on site this week how did they like the experience how into it were they all you’re not gonna give me to cry this year it was emotional than didn’t see mmore either Dam it uh no it was awesome they we Saturday we walked around we saw Lauren who was uh Lauren cofin who just missed the cut and was sticking around practicing a little bit uh that’s my Mo Daughter Molly on the left and then there’s Keegan who went to the US Open last year it was just so fun I mean it’s it’s really cool to get to see particularly Keegan who’s like super into golf her kind of clicking you know she’s started playing more tournaments this year she’s really into golf she’s played in a couple nlu tournaments which is really fun to have her show up at a 30 handicap and like finish you know second or third and have all these people look at me be like dud you know I need to move back but she’s I mean watching her like think through like shots and be like Dad I think Mii needs to hit a draw on this one or yuk is such a good putter like she really is like starting to click in the nuances of the game and so it’s really fun you know she she walked around and and watched Asis T today uh because she just wanted to see like man that that girl’s only three years older than me like this is really crazy to think about Dad and uh so that was just awesome I I love I honestly it really did have a couple people grab me and be like hey it really means a lot to me that you like talk about your girls in golf and stuff because I brought my girls to this event because you talked about it so much and I don’t know that I would have done that you know like a few years ago but it just kind of made me think like why not of course they should like come want to come to the stuff that I like and man that that makes my heart swell that there’s dads out there who are you know and this guy had had a couple beers but he was awesome he was like he wanted to kind of emote wanted to sort of share a moment with me and stuff so that was that was great and I would say daughters and sons like young young boys would have a great time watching these golf tournaments as well you just get a ton of more access like again if you have a major or any tournament coming near you again we we’ve said this every single time but uh they like the players acknowledge you like my K sign an autograph on the 72nd hole 71st hole CRA but like you know my kids are are sitting on the Rope line on Saturday and Keegan is like great job Mii and she’s like oh thank you like literally in the middle of the competitive round great job Yuka oh thanks appreciate you like you know that that would never happen for the most part in the men’s game like the final group at a major and it just makes you know kids sort of feel like wanted in the game because of that all right we’re sending you on your way uh thank you so much for popping in and uh safe travels and all that and uh what can we he’s gone there it is all right uh at every level of the game when the biggest titles are on the line like earlier this week at the NCA Division one men’s championship the overwhelming majority of competitors chose prov1 or prov1x 80 this is what it says I I assume this to be true 89% of the field it’s 139 of seem like a lot six players teed up at Titleist golf ball at Lacosta including the individual champion and four of the five members of the team champions with the national title on the line titles golf clubs were also the top choice of players in every major equipment category 51% of players gained a Titus driver half the field played Titus irons 57% of the Gap sand and lob wedges where vogi designs 26% used a Scotty Cameron putter which is more than any other brand the individual champ played a tsr2 driver t-s series irons vogi sm10 wedges and while there were four TSR drivers three Titus iron sets and 12 Vogies among the team Champs you can’t play your best golf if you’re not dialed in to every piece of your equipment visit titleist.com to learn more and find a fitting near you uh I got TC’s in the bullpen but I’m gonna let him get a little bit more R riled up here and fired up because I know he’s got a couple takes uh he wants to drop in but um Stephen Choy asked a question Randy what course would be the equivalent test for a men’s major a place it’s clearly liked fair but a truly Stern test I don’t know if I can answer that honestly I’m not I’m not trying to be glib um Marian was the only thing that came to mind for me which I know they kind of thought got a little tricked up last time but kind of of the same vein that’s capable of hosting a US men’s men’s US Open which again it’s kind of a debatable whether or not it can it uh that’s that’s the only thing that really came to mind uh in terms of a similar test of just the contouring of the greens just always fighting against that’s the what came to mind yeah I struggle I mean I like I was the country club real tricked up it it had a bit lower scoring but I I thought that was more on the proper side for for a US Open um yeah certainly shinok listen Pinehurst if the wind blows and and Pinehurst is showing its full teeth I I think you can put that in the discussion um I think we’re going to get a good one Pinehurst I think we let’s revisit this I think after the US Open I think you know we I don’t want to say that they’re not capable of doing this on the men’s side because I think they’re lined up for a really good one uh this year but it’s a totally different kind of test than than uh than Lancaster is I wish they could host a men’s one there I do not see that one fitting on that golf course but again I’m so excited well one I’m I’m excited for like every future venue for different reasons I I think Aaron Hills could play a lot like we saw Lancaster play this week I’m I’m super excited for that Riv of course is my favorite stop each year on the PGA tour I’m I’m so excited to watch the women play Riviera um but I think inness inness is the one that I have circled up in Toledo where they played the solheim cup a few years back and even for the solheim cup which you know they don’t have to like make it as difficult as possible man inness was playing tough and I I think that’s going to be a really really good one here in a few years I I think it could play very similarly to this I and it’s a it’s a type of place where I’m not sure it can host the men anymore you know that’s that’s what the shame of it is why don’t we bring our guy TC in here now we’re g we still have some Women’s Open stuff to chat about but I know he’s just he’s foaming at the mouth here to dive in on this I can see him gesturing in the green room and everything hello TC where are you how are you hey guys I’m in Atlanta I’m great uh you guys you guys summed it up well on the women’s side I just wanted to say too like it’s not like the the KPMG women’s PGA like let’s have them step up with some venues here too because we’ve got uh you know I think the next few years they’ve got Frisco Hazel team Congressional and then back to Frisco and I like Frisco but like let’s get some variety going like let’s go to Cleveland there’s plenty of good golf in Cleveland let’s go to De Mo let’s go to like I love the interlocking play I Love The Inverness play like you were saying Randy uh Cherry Hills Crooked Stick Chambers places like that you know I mean it’s same on the men’s side man the P both PJ the one side Sol I would say Oakmont is a place whenever whenever the US Open gets to Oakmont that’s the type of place where I’m like all right it’s G to be tough I’m I’m liking that I’m liking that course I would say the other concern there too is like it’s it’s in La two out of six years La doesn’t really show up for the men I can’t I’m kind of worried they’re not going to show up for the women either they they’ve done a good job like there’s there’s Palace veres and Wilshire like they have plenty of women’s tournaments every year and all that but uh Lac like hopefully that’s a little bit different vibe there Riv should be good but you know I’d like to see like you said s I’d like to see more openings right of like if you could Flex Lancaster in before 2037 that’d be nice yeah I know you got we’re going to fight line you up for some takes I asked for three I’m sure we’ll get 12 but uh I I know you’ll want to be a part this segment as well Hamsterdam I don’t have a ton other than to say it felt like a real effort from NBC Dan Hicks good graphics intro packages you know escalated music final Rolex hour final commercial free didn’t feel like it was bombarded with commercials prior to the commercial free hour it was a delightful watch channel changing was of course annoying having to watch the front nine of this uh of the final day on three different channels that was of course the hour on USA Today is just one giant middle finger I know it’s Olympic year that’s probably USA not USA Today sorry USA uh yeah an hour in a newspaper would be sick yeah that’s how it used to be but I mean you know when we harped on like especially what happened to KPMG last year like if it looked like it did today we wouldn’t have had a 15-minute segment ripping on it right so uh any critiques I would have would be very minuscule to say like hey if golf on TV looked like that we would not complain about it so I credit and salute NBC for their coverage of the US Women’s Open amen could use more TV hours could use more TV hours still yeah the 4 to S thing was kind of weird today too like it felt you know I I will say praise progress they normally never nail the timing on the commercial free hour great they got the perfect hour window when like the golf was the best the most people were in it and things were kind of on a knife’s edge so great work there and I think it we also have to like thank the USGA for for putting real resources into this event and I think that’s where it’s like I KPMG is wonderful the the KPMG women’s PGA Championship but I I think the PJ of America maybe can do a little bit more to elevate that event like the USGA has I I’m trying to be nice today I’m you’re not gonna get me out of my good mood yeah uh there is of course some comments rolling in we do should disclaim that we did uh do coverage a couple weeks ago for the PJ Championship with Omaha that was also uh on ESPN so uh thank you for that TC context what are you you have three takes any on the women’s side that we want to queue you up for now we’re going to talk some RBC here in a second but uh anything we need part of it was gonna be the venue stuff so you kind of kind of you know got one of my takes there I did want to shout out Josh Saunders the superintendent up there at uh at Lancaster like you guys nailed it brilliant setup it didn’t embarrass anybody right it t like I think there’s a good sign when when the amateurs kind of get ejected after like all right you’ve had your fun Thursday Friday like we’re gonna we’re gonna you’re not going to put four rounds together on this golf course without being one of the top players in the world and sure enough like you know that happens so um it’s all I’ll also say usj wise too props to the usj for not only the resources but I think for stepping on some necks at Comcast NBC over the last six to eight months or you know probably longer than that and just being like hey guys come on let’s wait for us men right that’s the one where they flood with commercials because that’s you know that’s where all the all the revenue is they it was Tommy Roy got his toys this week yeah I’m not sure if he was producing this week I don’t know if he was either I was referencing you know I would imagine he was he does you know all their biggest ones but they did they they had some wonderful drone shots you know they just had camera angles where you know if you if you watch a lot of LPGA week to week or yes you know even some of these other Majors you’re just like yeah we’re not getting that anywhere else um but did was important to of course with that much land movement like some of the camera they got from the fairways and stuff of of those uphill shots into those greens where you can only see the top of the flag stick like that’s the whole deal right I that’s the whole the whole purpose of playing at a golf course like this and they capture and props to them for not you know perhaps the USGA for not wildly backing off of the setup yes after round one you know they they stuck to their guns and all that I think uh also props to the usj for their their app their app was awesome this week like the the online experience was kind of Jose that with with the PGA of America’s app and like you know I know it’s tough It’s very resource intensive to build an app when you only have however many tournaments a year versus you know PGA to or LPGA or whatever but that was like that’s the that’s the gold standard other than the masters of like hey shot tracker shot Trails all that stuff all the content on the app was great so um lastly kbv said they need some oil money in Central PA you know the Gap region just outside of of Philadelphia there word coming out over the last couple weeks they’re discovering massive massive lithium deposits in h in Central PA so just monitor that so it could be you know a lithium Revolution there and you know could be could be more money there to subsidize some women’s golf I needed to I feel like it’ be even better like in August like you need to take the place of the Evan if anything right of uh you know they got I don’t want to see this in April in Pennsylvania right I don’t want to say they got lucky with the with the weather but you can get some bad Northeastern Springs that end up with a lot wetter than what they got this year right so but you know um what do we yeah can I bring up an an image here and I I what what what’s the take here what’s the take here on on the the Charlie Hall images that have been absolutely being paraded around social media uh so so far this week Randy is this the coolest thing ever because I every time I open up Twitter it seems pretty [ __ ] cool man listen I I think there’s a couple different questions being asked is is let me is Charlie Hall cool like yes yes is her smoking part of her coolness I don’t know like your mileage can vary there do we see a lot of I I I think people go crazy for this stuff one you just don’t see it as much on the women’s side two it’s like very much a throwback back you know it it’s throwback to to a bygone era uh to to a type of golf to to when golf was smaller and intimate and this traveling band of of you know it almost felt like a traveling circus right both on the women’s and the men’s side it it just it hearkens back to past days and I think that’s cool now does golf like overhype and immediately uh overdo like any cool thing yes so are we tired of it by Sunday of course it’s you know it’s it’s Charlie smoking a cigarette but I I I do want to say Charlie is awesome and that should not get lost in all of this I agree with all that big all that to say like again kids smoking is bad be like Charlie or your Uncle Neil Schuster don’t be like them I’m not gonna I’m not gonna celebrate this one because it’s the lamest reaction ever on social media that bothers me like let’s not pretend smoking is cool it’s terrible to be around it’s bad for you don’t do it we’d rather you vape I know she’s smoking to quit vaping I don’t think that’s the order of operations you’re supposed to go here uh still a huge Charlie Hall fan but yeah I’m very over this this part of the chat Charlie’s great I saw somebody slipped her their number on the ROP line like dropped a piece of paper with their number I’m GNA text you or whatever sort of thing so she’s she’s great I think it’s I think it’s l about smoking and more about like Charlie just being a real human being yeah extremely relatable and you know just kind of normal normal person so uh S I got two more two more things I gotta get off my chest on the lady’s side before we before we go to my my my big board here uh we got to raise the floor on these women’s events you know where it’s like hey if there’s not crazy ratings this weekend that’s fine right but it’s I think enough people you peque their interest enough people watch they tune back in next time right it’s like you keep raising the floor and then when you do have that Nelly major win next or when you have that that crazy playoff or crazy finish there’s going to be more people there for it there’s going to be more infrastructure there for it there’s gonna be gonna be a higher floor right so um that and then I think the Tai women what is up with this L being pronounced as n uh with uh yub versus yuban I don’t and tius yeah it’s just I I don’t get it like why can’t we just spell it that way you’re you’re translating it from another language anyway why can’t we just translate it into that spelling the phonetic spelling I’m looking for something to argue with you on T TC tonight and I’m not seeing it I’m right there with you let’s change that then Big Shot Bob my guy you do you have an apology what what would I be apologizing for hypothetically what would I be apologizing you [ __ ] on him for years you said he wasn’t a good golfer I think those were like verbatim your words pre- Rider cup Big Shot Bob TC there’s a problem Big Shot Bob’s not a very good golfer he’s not very good at golf I think those were your words I me it’s like he’s like an average tour pro I’m extremely happy for him can we start with the positive here like that was epic having his dad on the bag wins the RBC Canadian open Tears in their eyes you know has a four shot Le he’s got to make last the entire final day he seems like the realest dude like the most like normal guy maybe out there on tour like most like down toe and just like he probably said like eight times in that interview afterwards like I can’t believe I did this with him on the bag with I he kept kind of slagging off his dad I don’t know if he realized he was doing it but I can’t believe I did it with this guy on the bag uh it was awesome I was getting I don’t know I don’t want to say I was I wasn’t crying in the club Qui I was close I was I was getting pretty emotional there down the end so if you want to start negative TC that’s on you I’m excited for nothing but positivity for me I’m just I’m getting flooded with negativity about Bob’s a fast player I don’t know what happened today he was playing kind of slow today uh things were moving quickly he had the Drone There Was You Know CC I’m hearing all about this drone what is going on with this Dr had to say about that the we’re still collecting more info I don’t think he said foreigners as we got to set the scene hold on Josh Carpenter tweeted out and said big problem with Bobby Mack and the CBS drone I’m not gonna he said I’m not going to tell you again I spoke to the rules official before that’s ridiculous uh Nance said we’re going to have to back the Drone away from him because he’s hearing everything D said the drones headed to the airport um which I Dr one place you can’t drone D is the airport you can’t take it to the airport um and then what did Adam Shack’s tweet say I could pull it up here in a second but he pull that up but yeah he tweeted um that uh Robert McIntyre called a rules official over to help the Drone says it’s all I can hear also mentioned I’m a foreigner and I know they don’t want me to win not sure about that but evident the Drone noises in his head uh then they he he followed up and said to be clear on the Drone Bobby Mack explained politely several times that the Drone was too close when it returned the CBS people inside the ropes all agreed with him that it was making too much noise it was a legit issue and understandable that he was bothered when it returned total Vindication people were slagging him off on Twitter saying he was he was bitching he was moaning he was not the guy’s trying to win his first PGA Tour event obviously he’s nervous he’s got his dad on the bag he’s getting all his own yardages his dad’s literally just carrying the bag I felt bad for his dad today he had to carry the stat that like the that’s why he wasn’t playing fast yeah he doing all the work it’s the cat like Bryson said it’s the caddies he had to bring you know he had to bring all his rain gear out it was foggy water on the club face all sorts of stuff so no I think it was his dad’s the Greenkeeper at Glen Crouton in Obin uh which is on like on the side of a freaking Hill Mountain like going down towards towards Oben Harbor uh it’s it’s such a remote I mean it’s I think he practices when he’s at home he practices down at lock lomman which is like an hour and a half almost two hours each way and he was just driving back and forth and he just loves living in Obin that much but I think it it captures this really interesting almost sad dichotomy of the sacrifices you have to make to when you live somewhere like that to raise your game and be a world class player like he just moved to Orlando um which Bob we got to get you out of Orlando come up to HRA shck Beach go to Naples you can go anywhere just don’t be in Orlando no reason for that but um but you know like he’s he’s he’s talked a lot about how lonely it is on tour and how much he misses home and he’s just he loves loves hanging out with his guys loves loves playing shinty over there which I guess has been kind of an issue for him of like hey man like you’re going to get hurt you’re going to break your wrist playing so uh but he’s just like he seems like a like a real human being that you know just happens to be really good at golf and he seems like he’s greater than some of his Parts too I mean that wasn’t an easy final round today and he was he was all over the lot for a few holes there and you know and then stuffs it on 18 I mean that was that was an exclamation point I was a little worried after after that put went by there but uh no what a great I mean his dad seems like the man like his dad’s first reaction was like I’m a I grow grass grass like it’s it was uh a huge incredible story like it really is like it’s so incredibly unlikely for your first PGA Tour and your dad on the bag that’s not your caddy like but you know what maybe that’s not like that that kind of goes beyond the you know the stats and all that like that’s hey like that that counted for something right that counted for for something that goes well beyond the analytics and and you know the golf at hand it’s just a matter of like you know hey this is this is really really uh hold on I got the franchise here he’s no no dad say hi say hi talking about hey guys how you doing franch how doing we’re talking about the pressure of Dad’s cading yeah you want to talk about a dad caddy that’s we don’t need to go there what incredible timing but yeah like you know I think there’s something there with hey like they like the issue wasn’t a swing thing or or a strategic thing or analytics thing it was just the dude was lonely and he just didn’t have any juice on the road you know so I think that’s cool and it’s it’s cool to see him it’s cool to see good golfers from Scotland too because as a country these days Scotland punches well below its weight as far as professional golf but I think part of that is because they’re almost like they’re really good golfers they’re not really good professional golfers because Golf and professional golf are two radically different things at this point totally and that’s where any slagging off I’ve done of Bob is is more of a reflection of the of what the pro golf is like versus like him in particular right he’s not the best ball Striker and it’s you know about hitting it high hitting it soft and shaping all these different shots that I don’t necessarily think he I mean he putted his ass off this week he was number one in Strokes game putting and uh and you know that that’s what led to this Victory I think he’d be better off with different differing playing styles that required more creativity and and kind of fit more in line with uh you know how he plays the game versus how the PJ tour game is played so I’ll stand by my takes on that on on status of his game that’s not me slagging them off it’s just to say like Pro Golf is this thing like it’s what it is and it’s yeah I’ve as well documented over the last 10 years we’re not liking the trend of where it’s heading of what the skills are required of being tested so um thank you TC that’s that’s very shout out to Foxy as well I know I know you hated seeing that too another another proper golfer guy just you know he’s play proper golf he is like bombing he is like the Ryan brim of New Zealand TC he is like the bomb dude that you should you should all the shots maybe he’s super long but he shapes the ball oh I still remember him shaping a shot into 11 at austa this year yeah it was so sick so you know like by all accounts like the man like one of the nicest guys on the planet so foxy might be the next Blandy here in like the next whatever 10 years I don’t know how old foxy is I need to look I’d love to see you know the CLE well so that’s a great that’s a great great segue to my next my next before we get any farther can and we were supposed to this is on me we should have done this before we left the LPGA segment but Randy will you give a shout out to our friends at Yeti for us as well for for all the support of the LPGA content they’ve given us my gosh suly I thought you’d never asked no in all honesty shout out Yeti they have been a title sponsor all year um of what we want to do on the LPGA Tour uh could not be more thankful for them head over to yeti.com yeti.com a couple products they have 30 4 o and 64 o French presses in the store right now um which I’m so excited to get my hands on one of those they have some new uh Rambler coolers a 32inch rambler cooler uh excuse me a roie 32 wheeel cooler which is one of their new products they have some really cool colors tropical pink they have some um they got a blue color right now that’s just yeah like a a really vibrant blue color um my sweater yeah if you’re looking I think a great Father’s Day you know you the dad in your life the man in your life um they offering free customization so if you want to get a cooler or some type of mug you you can get it customized right now um so big thanks Big thanks to yeti.com they have been a wonderful supporter of ours and also uh the LPGA Tour coverage TC we got um you know obviously a lot of questions came in one of them uh came from uh Roger aarion will TC apologize of course for fleetwood’s final round uh I won’t very actually very uncharacteristic for Tommy to fade on Sunday like that normally he Fades on Saturday and then gets back into the mix on Sunday so I will not apologize you know I think he finished T25 or something like that but uh not his weekend but you know he he he continues to play high level golf and he’s trending for for Pinehurst and trun which are truly the only thing that matters because listen again this isn’t this is a a One-Stop National open it’s going back to a non-national open next year the Canadian open like the Hamilton was awesome what a great venue I think it was it was great to watch all week just very agnostic as far as what what type of player you know you got Rory mroy up there you got Ryan Fox you got Ben Griffin on the other side of things Zack Blair played well like I mean Ben Griffin shot 65 65 65 and didn’t win right in McKenzie hughes’s face so uh no Hamilton was awesome I think it was you know makes up for Oakdale or whatever the place they played last year was dog [ __ ] and you know I think I would like to see them go back to Hamilton more often so unfortunately next year it sounds like the TPC Toronto Osprey Valley there’s three courses up there they’re not playing one of the good courses it sounds like which is unfortunate so seems um let’s see what else oh Randy I was gonna have a great segue into you brought a Blandy I got shout out I got a shout out Lorie caner who uh won on the European Tour on that uh literal circus course in Germany uh I don’t know if you guys saw the the Caris wheel or the ferris wheel behind the uh behind the 18th green um almost spun one back into the water on 18 but uh I think it was his 140 something start on the DP World Tour uh and he you know finally got it done and he seems like a pretty thoughtful good human being and I know Eddie Pepper’s tight with him you know anybody that’s good with I thought Richie Ramsey was was pretty you can tell like the guys that like I like out there were like pretty jacked up about this so uh and you know what Lor a c always a cleck yeah once a click always a cleek he was he was on the cleaks he’s been he’s been on the cleaks he’s been on the Majestics and then he’s been a wild card within live and now he’s now he’s the DP World Tour winner what a what a circuitous route to that so uh just wanted to to holler there and then uh also S I wanted to congratulate you on on Tom Kim the international Superstar great final round today um Glo Global Superstar yeah Global Superstar uh Cory Connor said one of the worst outfits I’ve ever seen anywhere the the black shoes black pants red shirt Red Hat was just Tak it all away uh and then what else I got oh last thing longest day in golf tomorrow uh I talked to Zach earlier tomorrow that’s not after the Memorial not anymore so yeah so Memorial is what so they bumped up so Zach’s still playing down in springield I was like dude okay I was like how are you like how are you getting from Toronto to Springfield and he’s like dud we’re driving dve honestly yeah yeah it’s like six hours I was like are you going through Buffalo are you going through uh Detroit but he I think they’re going through Detroit and then down 75 but a lot of travel for these guys tonight and then 36 holes tomorrow all over the country so um it’s you know I think for all the stuff that I hate about Pro Golf right now like the sectional qualifying or final qualifying or whatever they call it these days like somewhat makes up it’s a nice little one one day antidote to all that of like hey it’s still a meritocracy you can still go earn it you can still you know the dream’s still alive right and for those that have been reaching out wondering if I be participating in sexual qualifying I uh I barely missed I bunch of lip outs in my qualifier and uh my local qualifier here in Jackson I was just u 11 shots shy of the playoff but I you know just bad side of the draw really and some luck that didn’t go my way but well there’s always next year we’re going to keep fighting we’re going to keep fighting you had you had some dudes in that in that local too that was tough to walk down that range and be like Oh Luke Guthrie all right there’s one spot U there’s Jason Gore he’s almost One of Us open there’s another spot it’s yeah it’s this would not be the right place to actually try to qualify out of but I I’m not good enough to justify being able to travel to how’ your Club Championship go this weekend you know TC I got runner up uh was second place um it was a very deep field so I’m really proud of that runner up but uh four I lost by three and I hit four balls OB had a 73 with three out of bounds balls in round one uh some of the best golf I could have played but just can’t keep the ball play it turns out it’s an important skill so it hate it we had a great from Tyler mson 7 uh you want to know how bad Monty would have had it with drones uh that that was that would got that would got a good rise out of me today which hey you know what like drones are there’s some concerns about these drones generally speaking right DJI is in the crosshairs of the US government right now hey maybe the Chinese are scraping some of the you know hopefully the Chinese like golf courses because they’re getting a lot of golf course footage you know so and you know same with the osmo pocket right hopefully they like our B uh stuff from tus sauce too so yeah that’s all I got guys all right we might need to send uh Shawn Martin next year to find this Rogue drone operator right up uh right up the story yeah yeah um other news this week um Aman Lynch had a great interview with Joe Ogie um just talking all things PGA Tour PJ tour Enterprises Saudi piff negotiations all kind of things uh honestly I was going to try to pull some nuggets from it but it’s it’s just read the whole context of it it’s on golfweek.com and uh there’s nothing substantive yeah nothing groundbreaking nothing um astonishing there just kind of speaking on individual roles of individual people where things stand what the future might look like how things uh are flowing it’s about as good of a look in as we’ve gotten in on everything it doesn’t it basically also says in there like we’re gonna have something done in the next four months is how I read uh at least one the one part of it is he specifically called out four months of U like judge us then at that point I guess that was my my big take way were four months 2026 being kind of the year that things will actually change versus you know next year kind of moving some puzzle pieces around and moving some dominoes around but not really and then some support of Monahan kind of surprising amount of positivity from him with Monahan which you know I thought OG was like top of the Heap as far as like he was we were locked up as far as the Monahan hate from from everything I’ve heard so that was a bummer man that ruined TC Sunday he’s like I got I gotta come in and talk about this um anything else we want to shout out or or or visit we didn’t uh we didn’t go are will you let TC and I go down the leaderboard a little bit 100% absolutely all right uh well let’s yeah let’s are you ready to go down the leader board no no I Le it or do you want to do it Randy I think you should do it and I’ll yeah yeah I got it up TC let me let me lead it I mean of course we we got to mention so many big names missing the cut Nelly cter at the top of that list if you have been under a rock all week she made a 10 on her third hole of the tournament shot an 80 in the first round and missed the cut she was one of many big names but we we had some I hadn’t even turned it on yet I was running a couple errands I had a coffee I hadn’t even woken up yet so I was I was in line to get coffee and I about sit down for a coffee meeting for like an hour and she made a 10 I was like what the hell I thought I could at least catch her the turn yeah uh we mentioned Ali Ying awesome awesome weekend 6866 very strong that will go a long way I imagine to solheim cup consideration she’s usually in that Captain’s pick mix um so feel feels like allly and and Andrea are like no-brainers like pencil them in now right yeah yeah I also Olympic qualifying as well I mean I I don’t know what what those standings look like but yeah it’s G to be tough for I think for Ally especially to to jump up enough um I I wanted well I want to say her name one more time with chani mikai Mei Mei damn it withan meai listen she she shot 77 today but she ends up tied for six I I was so impressed with her Saturday 69 honestly I thought she was going to shoot over 75 yesterday she had a great third round um a tough one here on Sunday but an awesome result for her and then attia tikum a third tie woman she was also tied for six she went 6868 this weekend she’s kind of a top 10 machine uh we we need we need her to start events a little bit better but uh good to see a titium and then out of the top 10 three Japanese women other than the top two the five total in the top 10 and aaka Foodway just really solid she’s she’s kind of like a top 10 machine I feel like a little bit the majors she might be Fleetwood right now I know I’m not I’m not sure where her game is gonna like get a win I I’m like it just feels like she’s bumping up against her ceiling but maybe that’s a take I’m G regret uh somewhat soon crazy high floor though yeah teada was really impressive today um mro mam Miu yam y yeah um push is going to slide in with all sorts of pronunciation guides as well like he had like six in a row last night uh afterwards but yeah Green yeah shout out to all the Japanese ladies like it’s it was truly disciplined and and shout out to anybody that went under par today like you could there was no faking it you had to just you had like master class in Iron play and then you’re going to have to make make a few putts as well yeah so um which I was going to say Hannah green uh tied with Ali uing for the round of the day 66 she ends up tied for 16th really good showing um I want to shout out of course Charlie Hall gets a top 20 she had a very good weekend I want to shout out um a few women though kind of in that tied for 20 30 range Sophia popof good to see her back after a long maternity leave she finished tied for 26 Pia babnick was somebody I tweeted about Thursday so padnick was legitimately struggling to break 80 late in the year last year on the ladies European tour to for her to come out and shoot 70 on Thursday in those conditions um she struggled in her second round but she ends up tied for 29th for the event a great result for her um and then Kristen Gilman who is a two-time US am Champion like the can’t miss amateur for a while she finished for 36 a pretty good result from her she’s she’s back on the LPGA Tour so I thought that was uh a good result TC any any kind of as we go down the board of course we had three low AMS they all tied asri tally Megan scofi and Katherine Park all finished uh tied for 44th at 12 over our girl Gabby Ruffles a little disappointing she finished tied 51 um yeah Amilia Garvey she was t58 kind of expecting good things from her Alexander for forcing will probably be seeing her at uh Robert Tren Jones for the solheim cup on the European side she she she kind of fell off after a strong strong first first 18 um but yeah otherwise I think the one that I can’t really figure out you know we’ve been talking about it since solheim cup is Seline this this felt like it would have been a pretty strong layout for for Seline just as far as Precision play and and accurate driving and uh can’t can’t really put my finger because she was playing some of the best golf of anybody in the world last year and has has really fallen off a little bit since then can I ask a question a lot of people are asking I’m counting two Americans in the top 35 of the United States Open Championship United States Women’s Open Championship what what what’s what could what the rationale possibly be here and is this a cause cause for concern I don’t really think it’s a new thing either I mean it’s kind that’s it but that’s a very low number I know that they are not the dominant country in women’s golf but like that is a shockingly low number it kind of reminds me of like the you know us men’s tennis for yeah 12 or 15 years there until until Ric came along you know just kind of there was that middle ground there they was just like man who’s going to step up and fill these shoes and Beyond Nelly it’s just a revolving door like you know Lexi didn’t really meet her expectations or anyone’s expectations for her Danielle Kang I mean good on Danielle for making the cut this week playing pretty well and yeah yeah yeah but she’s had injury stuff um you know obviously uh obviously Lilia lacks the most important ability right now that’s the big one yeah Lil Vu being hurt that stinks Nelly obviously missing the cut but all you’re right not not a banner week Rose I think Rose is a tough one um she looked so good what was that three weeks ago had to withdraw then the next week from mizuo I don’t think it was as simple as like a stomach bug from stuff that we’ve heard I I think there’s maybe a little bit um there’s a medical issue there I I don’t want to speculate because I do not know but a disappointing week for Rose as well so it’s like when those three best Americans Lilia wasn’t even here Nelly obviously had a disaster Thursday and Rose just wasn’t right yeah it it set a bad tone for the Americans I’m counting 12 excuse me I’m counting 12 uh women and then 2022 top 35 of the 2022 US Women’s Open seven last year and two this year like that’s a that’s a sharp drop off in in a just a three-year span I don’t that said I do think there’s I think it’s a pretty strong crop of juniors in the pipeline right now and you know Collegiate players like there’s some I mean Katherine Park I’m buying stock on her she’s a she’s got a great career ahead of her you know people like that but yeah no it just there’s just a lot of inconsist the Sim cup too you know like they haven’t won a solheim cup since 2017 I believe now which also I’d love to shout out Andrea Lee um me I mean t-15 T20 T3 the last three US Women’s opens like that’s that’s greatly outranking her her like what her productivity so far on the LPGA Tour that’s a three top 20s in a row including a top five yeah yeah she’s someone who yeah I think kind of conversely to like you know the the difficult setups and all that I think the the easy setups hurt her just as much as anybody on the LPGA where it washes out some of her accuracy off the tea and the good putting and all that where you know you make it tougher to make putts and you make it tougher to hit Fairways and she’s going to be she’s going to outrank everybody if you make those two things important you know I need to go watch her play around a golf in person like I think I could learn so much from just watching the way she like navigates the navigates the ball she’s like Greg Maddox it’s crazy it’s kind of how I want to play golf I I’ll never be able to putt like she does but God it just looks like she’s hitting those little Fairway finders off the tea it’s it’s she she she’s not playing a power game by any means um all right I think we’re GNA move to WP unless you guys have uh have anything else S I got one more thing just breaking across the wire uh Esther henset just posted on Instagram uh she’s of course German player LPGA she missed a cut this week I got home we got to the next stop American Airlines destroyed her golf bag so I just wanted to offer my condolences some some te’s and pe’s there and then uh also wanted want to shout out uh Japanese winner on the corn fairy tour today which is very uh very unique thing they don’t they don’t get a whole lot of Japanese guys playing the corn fairy tour much less winning out there um so Mr O onishi uh props to him kaido oi onishi and he was uh got he won it was a proper setup this week too I mean it was like minus 81 which that’s unheard of on the corn fairy tour truly don’t know if I’ve ever heard minus8 winning on the C fairy tour uh we have a lot of shows coming up a lot of content coming up we are rolling right into Memorial Tournament week we’ll have a happy hour show at 4M eastern time this coming Wednesday we’ll have a live show on Sunday night as well uh the LPGA is heading up to New Jersey for the shop right Liv is back the cleaks of course are back this week at Houston H at golf club of Houston uh what’s the swampass situation in in Houston right now TC oh I don’t even want to know how how high I gotta go to Fort Worth next weekend and I’m dreading and it’s going to be low 90s and crazy humid so we have uh so I’m oh my God I’m seeing highs of 97 94 94 for the three days uh they can we’re shorts so I think we’re good that’s a good that’s a really good point humidity uh uh yeah up in the 88% as well so that should be fun um season finale of Taurus sauce season 9 will be this Wednesday at 900m Eastern time uh it is Kingson Heath don’t spoil who’s in the championship match in case anybody hasn’t been you got a whole week no you don’t you have a couple days to binge watch the whole season to catch uh the finale live on our YouTube channel 900m Eastern Time on Wednesday shout out to our sponsors Precision Pro for bringing season n of tour SAU to life it’s been great it’s been a lot of fun we appreciate it feedback from everybody it’s a great episode so yeah uh kvv is gonna have a gamer up uh he’s he’s gonna write about I imagine Yuka and and lanaster as a whole so be able um be sure to check out no langang up.com what else TC and I are gonna be chopping on the Trap draw this week so you can you can check that out we’ll have yeah big and I are playing some golf this week together exciting we’ll Al have at least one perhaps two US Open previews of some kind ahead of uh next the following week’s Us open at Pinehurst we did a little Deep dive into the past three Pinehurst us opens that’ll either be out Tuesday or Thursday uh depends on we potentially have an interview coming out hopefully on Tuesday uh that I think we’ll probably uh publish first with it should be a very interesting guest I think people will be extremely interested to hear that interview so and I’m I’m stoked for Pinehurst man I mean generally speaking doing some prep and watching watching some of 99 some 05 and a lot of uh the kimer one 14 and even though it kind of gets washed over as as a blowout and I think history kind of looks kindly on it like it you know I think they’ve beefed up some stuff as far as some of the some of the waste areas and all that make it a little bit more penal but uh there’s I mean that Thursday it hadn’t rained yet like it rained overnight Thursday into Friday but that Thursday there’s poofs of dust coming up when people had irons and it was it was good viewing it’s really really good good setup so I’m going to quickly before we wrap here just look at the weather runup the next couple weeks at Piner looking like potential for some storms a little bit this week but doesn’t look too drastic uh should be should be in decent shape going into to the following week so you guys want to see what Neil worked on uh all day uh yesterday I do rearr he rearranged all the Rocks back there with my dad so he’s pretty proud of seven or eight hours oh God he was he was sending all sorts of pictures through to the slack so all right we are gonna move to wrap we want to thank everyone uh for tuning in thanks for tuning in Friday night thanks to uh Marina Alex and Jane Park as well they joined our show on Friday they were Fant fantastic they a lot of 3. Great ep! Why didn't Neil just hire the boulder movers from T-Dub's gallery in '99 Phoenix Open? 😜
