fans any slip up at all for Kar means Celtic will be champions again for the 12th time in 13 years one point is all that’s needed after Rangers winning 5-2 last night against dunde we’ll talk with Barry Ferguson about that in a moment or two Andy Walker’s also with us Andy your old team you think tonight at karik they’re going to get at least a point yeah I think so it’s been a really difficult venue uh this season but I think given what’s at stake given what the the players know what a victory will get them I think they’ll be all over Kar the energy levels will be really high I think they’ll get the job done tonight we win any pressure given that Rangers improved the goal difference by three last night absolutely not Rangers lost it a while back and uh you know around they had to beat Celtic at hbrooks couldn’t make it then they had that poor run against Ross County losing there getting a point against dunde that that’s when it really turned and Celtic up taking advantage Barry it was Grim for you in the first half right up until just before halftime uh Rangers two down again they can’t keep doing this but they came back 5-2 yeah really poor in the first half H certainly without the ball pole um and it must be frustrating for the manager having to go in at half time and Absolut go through the players to get a a reac and but he did get a reaction in the second half they were comfortable um but listen it’s happened far too often Paul over the last four five six weeks that they’ve not started good enough in the games and it takes a manager to get them in and give them a kick up the backside but listen they they they got the the job done last night um but tonight’s game Celtic down to come on I agree with Andy they know what’s at stake they’ll be excited about it they’ll be up for it and it’ll be a tough game because D’s got a good kok team there um but Rangers could only do the job last night um and that was to get the the three points and to Brendan Rogers what about Rangers last night Andy what was your impression then going two down and then getting that goal from Mosin just right on halftime just in general flat when you see the the amount of M seats around the stadium I think everyone knew that H you know their chance had gone they had given it their best shot but they’ve they’ve fallen short and now it’s all just down to the big game in a couple of weeks at hamen that is the that’s the chance for Rangers to get back and I do I would question whether Rangers have an inferiority complex against Celtic just now they’ve played four games they’ve lost three they’ve drawn one they’ve never been in front uh they’ve never had to hold on to H they’ve had a period of I don’t know 15 20 minutes maybe half an hour where they’ve they’ve looked decent but this is a manager Philip kont who’s looking at a Celtic team who I think are improving just the the perfect time at the the season because the the championship I think will get wrapped up tonight and I think the Celtic players will be champing at a bit just to try and get on that pitch at hamon and go again and and win a double bar what would you say to Andy well that’s a question mark against this strangers team at this moment in time when they come up against um Celtic they struggle to get a result Paul um and if that’s me in the dressing room um I’d be desperate to try and do something about it h so listen they’ve got a game at the weekend against Hearts it be interesting to see how many players are actually going to be back for the manager there was 11 players missing last night um out of that 11 maybe three or four maybe are certain starters uh so yep that that is a question mark labeled against this Rangers team at this moment in time when they come up against Celtic can they get past them who’s going to be kissing the badge come Saturday I know Todd cwell did last night Barry what do you think about that Todd kwell he didn’t play the weekend you could hear in the interview afterwards um he obviously was hurting there but can he do it in the biggest occasion is that a question that’s fair well I think you certainly got ability Paul there’s no doubt about that but I need to see it more often and there’s no doubt he’s not shown enough at times he would have been disappointed not to get even on the the pitch sorry and sat against Celtic last night he wasn’t really in the game in the first half second half when you you go ahead 32 then he started to show glimpses what he’s capable of doing but it’s easy when you’re you’re ahead pole I need to see that more often Todd cwell when certainly when the game’s on edge when it’s at nothing each I’m always wey of badge kissers um I mean show me what show me what you can do on the field of play over 90 minutes I mean that that tells me how much you you care and how much joy you want to bring the supporters kissing the badge when the week has gone and You’ you’ve scored a fluky goal it was a bit much yeah I would rather show my passion on the pitch pole yeah when the game’s gone and that’s that’s the way that I show it I try to show it not not every single game that I manag year it was like it was obviously 11 players but 10 of them were fer players and I think soon said right who’s the one who’s knowing this team but he was just he was very um he was just very sincere saying you know even uh doesn’t matter what level you’re at if you’re going through a season with you’re you’re unbeaten undefeated for sure you know’s he’s just given them a bit of credit and it was nice it was nice to see Y and it was nice to see that Steve MC’s back isn’t it great indeed he’s looking well you sure I’m not sure how much Sunshine he saw there but no he was in great form yeah I mean what I see I don’t care what league you play in to get through the full season undefeated what an achievement and um you go and you enjoy those occasions Paul when you win championships going enjoy it and I’m sure the fuler boys certainly enjoyed bether they certainly did it was great to have them on last night great to have you too tonight we’re going to take some calls now 08087 17700 the headlines well Celtic could clinch the title tonight last night Rangers stayed in it mathematically and they reduced the goal difference let’s hear from the two managers first Brenan Rogers looking forward to kuk which has been a bogy ground and a bogy team this season we respect it’ll be a tough game for us um Derek’s done a fantastic job there with karik and we haven’t been great there in the two games but we had we we’ve had a a half where we were comfortable in the game and then we we conceded a couple of per goals and and end up losing the game 2-1 um but we’re ready for a a a tough game and against a team that are very effective very well coached very well organized got experienced players um so we have to be ready for the jewels but then also we have to be ready to to play our football and uh and that’s what we’ve been preparing for Andy what are you reckon for tonight is he going to play the kind of team the full strength that you had I think so I think the players want to play in this game when you have I mean I only experienced it one time but when you uh have got the opportunity to get over the line everything’s done you’ve absolutely secured it you want to be part of that day you want to be part of that occasion if there’s any resting to be had then Celtic need to get the job done tonight s mirin at the weekend I think there’s an opportunity there that’s just a celebration it’s a trophy day and if you want to you know give give people a half an hour or or an hour or whatever before the Cup Final the really big one before the end of the season then all well and good but tonight I think Celtic will be firing in all cylinders when he spoke ahead of the game tonight he did say look um for next season there has to be improvements in the squad well we have to that’s that’s pretty clear but I’m really excited about that moving forward into a real bright future with the the club this this season has been a real challenge um the squads openly not as strong as what I would have liked it to have been but what the players have given me until this point has been absolutely brilliant but our our job going forward next year is to be stronger much stronger and uh uh but that’s that’s something that’s that’s well underway and Barry that’s a a word of warning to everyone else I mean Celtic were criticized probably quite rightly for not spending uh in the way that they would have expected in January yeah and I don’t think that’s going to be the case this summer Paul I feel strongly that they’re going to go and and spend a bit of money on that quality that Brandon Rogers obviously feels he he needs um so Celtic are going to get stronger as a team stronger as a group um and it’ll be interesting to see on the flip side of that what’s going to happen at Rangers um well bar you’re alluding to what might happen at Cel I I don’t know what it looks like I mean Brandon Rogers has been saying this for a while I want more quality I want a better Squad I want a better team what does that look like what does that mean that you have to spend of course you can get a bargain for a few hundred grand you know Rangers did it a few years ago with arbo with bass and sold them a huge profit Celtic do it pretty much every season but I think this season they’ve really missed the likes of J abada with injury um you know McGregor and hatti and Carter Vickers but what does it mean for Celtic to be much stronger much better how much are you going to spend on one player maybe it’s maybe it’s Adam eer maybe it’s him at I’d be surprised Andy go and spend a bit of money well what does that mean Barry what what do you spend on one player what do you think well I think there’s a difference if you go if you’re talking about lager Bel and thei who were what three four million pound I think if you double that and go and get a player at 8 million P I think you’re getting a better bit of quality so is that going to be three 8 million players I would say you you’re probably absolutely right getting more quality at 8 million but what is a guy at 8 million in yeah that’s a good point and take have a strict wage strict a strict H structure where there are some players at the very top there’s not many um and you you just wonder where what does it mean to Brendan Rogers what is he wanting from his board what is he trying to get are they going to spend I mean the last time he spent huge money odson Edward Ed exactly he was what 9 million would he do that again I’m not sure they would I mean you get this feeling from speaking to so many Celtic supporters they just want to be in front of Rangers do enough and S have done that this season just enough they they’ve got the job done um what does I I just wonder that that’s the question you know I POS a question for Rangers the the one for Celtic is what what does it look like being so much better how much do you need to spend it’s good question and we touched on it last night Andy and that it’s a race to the bottom in Scotland I noticed a difference I wasn’t doing it for a number of years came back what nearly four years ago and it was all about beating Rangers or Rangers beating Celtic people weren’t that bothered about Europe of course they were you know August September October but then it was it was out the window it was forgotten about honestly I speak to a lot of Celtic supporters who are desperate for what Rangers have had over the last few years going to a going to a UEFA Cup Final just having some really strong credible performances in Europe and and and giving the supporters great memories what do you think give us a call 08087 17700 because it could end up a bit like Tottenham and Arsenal cuz anre is in the middle of a storm down there because the Tottenham fans most of them seem to want um Man City to beat them last night it just seems bizarre we’re going the lines in a second or two Rangers were two down just before halftime then it was 2-1 it was pulled back yet again the manager had to give them a rolican at halftime it’s not also about 11 players in the first half so these are individual things that players and I told them also if you want to play for a team like Rangers that’s the basics that needs to be there every time if you want to play for a team half of the half who ends half of the league yeah you can have one moment yes and one moment no here it’s all the time switched on aggressive in everything you do with and without the ball so we need to build a squad like that where everybody has this internal fire to do it every day every game bud I totally agree with him Paul listen it’s okay being good with the ball without the ball is just as important and I thought Rangers were really poor in the first half really poor the two goals it’s not good enough not closing people down um quickly enough the the second goal in terms of the quick free kick turning your back being too far away from them you’ve got to be switched on um and listen what he says there is is spot on for me if you want to play a club with Rangers you’ve got to be good with the ball but also without it when Dodson was given so much time wasn’t he for both goals yeah I I thought they were really poor and and you can see why he’s went Absolut through them at at half time po at least they gave them a reaction but you you can’t be doing that or need to do that at half time all the time of course I mean there’s an odd and’ll tell you sometimes you you’re not on it in a game and the manager will need to come in and have a we pop at you that’s every what 10 15 20 games it can’t be happen in every game you would hope your teammates as well your captain Your Leader you maybe have a few leaders in your team on yeah this is not good enough you you would want some players in the dressing room saying the same thing should we go on the lines first up let’s go to tho Dave a Celtic fan is on good evening Dave evening how you think on yourself as well it’s no particular s conv question at this time it’s more has been the past these chairman and Club continually employe managers Contin after a short time because they’re not right appointment but when do the owners and directors chairman start looking at their own abilities to do their job in start question if they should be employing people yeah good question well management I think Dave we’ve seen it over the last number of years it’s absolutely brutal I mean we we live here in Glasgow and we we live in bre all the time I thought Gian van bronos was harshly treated I thought he was a manager who was getting things right winning big games getting into the Champions League I know the Champions League itself didn’t work well for him but you know winning a semi-final against Celtic winning a cup a cup final um I thought he was hard done by and you look at the whole series of managers at hibs you mentioned Hibbs Dave and you’re talking about Jack Ross and then Sean Maloney five managers in 5 years and they it’s it’s astonishing and to be fair to hibs they do back their managers with a bit of money they do have a good budget but um I don’t know I think a lot of managers and I’m thinking maybe at Aberdine you get a lot of noise on social media and some uh directors some chairman some Chief Executives they don’t like being on the end of criticism they crumble and crumble and they’ll pull the trigger rather than looking at the bigger picture the amount of money that hibs must have wasted in terms of paying off managers as I mentioned they’re five managers in five years and Andy’s right they do back the managers they’ve got a fair budget hibs and then you look at abine Steven glass Jim Goodwin Barry Robson and now um the new manager what is it Jimmy jimy T jimy Neil waru squeezed in sorry I forgot about Neil waru um so they waste a hell a lot of money and Andy’s right as soon as they start getting criticized bang they go and fire the manager that’s not always the best scenario no I think Ron Gordon the late Ron Gordon his family he realized then he pulled the trigger too quickly on Jack Ross I think they did but maybe the pressure you’re under the the loudest noise is off in social media these days can I just say about ABS I think that’s a good appointment Al so yeah yeah well he’s sporting director so he he will have some sort of say in bringing in uh the new manager new head coach you would suspect Barry that if if you’re the guy fley from Bournemouth and you’re putting in I don’t know five or six million you would imagine they would have a big say on who will be appointed if you’re putting that money in I think I think you’re entitled to to say right you need to run it past me and I’ll I’ll okay it or not I think it is good I mean he knows his stuff doesn’t he know high high level know M I thought again I think they were too quick to to fire him at at r County and I think change they made bringing Derek only lasted yeah it’s enough say about that one but anyway I think it’s a a good appointment in sporting director hubs have made and I think Maly will bring a bit of professionalism he’ll be a good soundboard he knows a game Inside Out Dave as a Celtic fan can we pose the question Andy put a few moments ago about European football and what’s going to buy success for you so Brendan Rogers said they need to strengthen the team you know the Market’s changed in the last couple of years it’s even more difficult what would you be looking for this summer signings wise well to be honest what I’m looking for last summer and in the future I’ve never understood I mean like you say there there’s loads of examples Virgil Van djk yeah you know players were bought at two million Victor wanyama yeah yeah buet of players at 2 or 3 million sold the one in excess of 10 million I don’t see why if they’re making that kind of profit on transfers in players I know I know there’s overheads like wages and all that in between but if if you’re selling a 2 million P buy for 12 or 15 million pound or more then why is that not going St in the transfer budget and then taking that the next level so the next time we we buy players after we’ sold sold that much we move by 5 six 7 million bracket and then if we get a few credit of them we sell them on maybe up to 20 million 15 20 million again step it up the money goes back into the transfer budget and we go to the next level of player and you can surely increase your squad and improve your squad that way I think the only thing we can see for any degree of certainty Dave is that Celtic have a bigger Financial Muscle than Rangers oh yeah and the the terrible aspect would be from speaking to Celtic fans you don’t want to wait and see what Rangers are doing let’s say Rangers don’t spend a great deal does that affect Celtics thinking well we don’t need to spend that much they they’ve not really improved they’ve lost they’re maybe not as good as as this season Celtics should just be looking after themselves and trying to give I don’t know just trying to make a a bigger Mark a better Mark a more competitive um Mark in Europe I mean it’s not that long ago Celtic were beating some of the big Club ing can you imagine Celtic beat Atletico Madrid this season I mean one of the huge names in European football that is what the supporters are looking for they’re desperate for it bar the 40 million will be going Celtics way probably might be tonight in the next few days but they shouldn’t just sorry I know they shouldn’t just look at each other they should you it’s a good point care about number one that is yourself um and it interesting to see I’m I’m just interested to see if Celtic will go and spend a bit of because Brandon Rogers has been open about it that he wants better quality in and um again there’s a lot of rumors about Players Once Springs to mind Matt o Ry there’s a lot of interest in in him he’s been fantastic this season um Atletico Madrid or here Newcastle maybe even Tottenham H so he’s one that they could sell on for an absolute fortune and it shows you that you don’t need to go and spend big money he was what one and A5 million pounds from League two and what’s what’s m really worth now what do you think I think you’d be looking at getting 15 million quid at least for him Dave we need to secure in European football well done to the Saints good news Barry isn’t it for the team in Paisley it’s brilliant yeah another brilliant season um finished in the top six for the first time last season and and um they’ve done it again this season what what a job he’s done what a job he’s done and um not a lot of money to spend there but he’s got a when you watch some very well Dred very well coached team and thoroughly deserve um finishing in a European place you just hope they can make it through the qualifier and get regular European game brilliant for the supporters obviously great for the players and the manager just to be managing at that a different level just pure excitement for for the supporters so here’s hoping they they get through that qualifier hibs against mull as well as you know Nick Montgomery has gone up against the well and uh We’ve Aberdine Livy Livy down of course St Johnson against Ross County that is tasty tonight because uh a win for Ross County would mean that they would be safe bar and for St Johnson but they’ve uh they’ve had a stinging the tail a couple of times this season under craigg LaVine yeah mean initially started off really well Paul but they they’ve suffered the last uh month but I’m looking through the fixtures there’s only one fixture that I’m I’ve got my eyes on tonight that’s H NIS against K good shout there are you doing a Brendan Rogers you’re not watching I always watch you know I watch got she on my local team of course iraqi’s going to do it it’s going to be tough it’s going to be a tough one um cie f dun Ferguson’s done pretty well since he’s went up there and it’s a big ass for them but they’re at home you never know what could happen but um listen I think it’s going to be a close one that tonight Andy year old team the Jags last night I was going to mention it 2-1 down tough wson brought them back into it maybe at the very least you just wanted a draw and you know thisle are capable I think of going anywhere in that Division and winning but being a goal behind the the they’ll need to start chasing the game at some point in the second leg and obviously Ruth Rovers now firm favorites sure are and de Barton 2-1 against Spartans will it be enough that’s the league one playoff we’ll find out and I should mention of course at Paisley tonight s Marin against Harts as a good game the two teams that have done really well this season uh stepen asith who when you think about Andy Under The Heading of managers I mean he was he he was under a lot of pressure yeah people calling into to question what he he was doing there was that it was a DA look at the start of the season when the makavo was the manager Steven n Smith and it was all European football and who was leading who and who had the right badges but eventually turning it around and getting the level of consistency that had and surely uh you know the the fact that they had um Lauren Shanklin scoring goals every week helped him get that third place scoring for fun and Rangers fans on the phone in here last night we’re saying some of them were on saying La shankland if we had him against Celtic at the weekend it could have been a different story I think it’s a decent argument and he might have done something at Ross County might have done something at dunde he is the type of player I think if you if you’re playing for Celtic Rangers he can get you the title you can argue all day about what you want to do in Europe and maybe that he’s not the guy who’s going to take you the furthest in Europe but domestically his his record was exceptional and I I thought at the price that he was available at I thought Rangers might have done business there but obviously not Barry how many times have we spoken about it listen I believe he would score goals for fun that either Rangers or Celtic the amount of chanes that are created um Paul he’s he’s an out and out goal scorer I mean Andy’s played that position all he’s his playing career um I just think his all round game yeah has improved dramatically in the last year but give him an opportunity inside that box nine times out of 10 it’s in the back of the net where’ you want to go next there’s so much to talk about there still Rangers after last night 52 win if you just looked at that you’d think well that’s really good news but they were booed off at halftime yeah and rightly so cuz it wasn’t good enough Paul and the manager said that listen it’s um as I said that that 10 minutes i’ liked to been inside that dress room I’m sure there was a few harsh words said but listen the main thing is they went out and and gave her a sponse in the second half but you need to see that for minute one Paul listen there was some parts that were good on the ball but off the ball was just as important and it just it wasn’t there for Rangers in the first half but second half was was better I know it’s a couple of weeks away Barry but the strongest Rangers team just now Does it include lrom and barisich from the for the certainly I don’t think barisich and seen he never started last night and it was bril to see another Academy graduate getting an opportunity and I thought he done really he played a couple of brilliant balls into the box that tells me that I think barisich has Absolut no chance of being involved yeah that’s that’s going to be the the big um decision raskins come in and he was okay last night again he’s another player I need to see more from do Mandy’s a a certainty so it be interesting to see obviously he’s going to be suspended as well for we were hearts at T we were speaking about it last week discipline remember we spoke about gam sunus who’s won European champ European cups at that time and he lost it in a in a Celtic Rangers game and I mean it was just such a stupid Challenge from lrom it was a clear I don’t think he needed to make the challenge he didn’t but and my point bar would be I don’t think you would a Celtic player making that challenge really yeah no I don’t think so I think they’ve just got more discipline I know I know MAA get sent off in a European game it was a DA challenge I thought he was really unlucky they had a couple sent off um what game was that was it liera and who was the other one the one at think got a couple Yang yeah and yang well I mean that’s I mean it’s not an outrageous challenge but I just think there a level of discipline there lrom I thought had a bit more being a Midfield watching that again that’s one of the ones you can go and you can body check him you don’t need to Lunge in mean you know what it’s like now with any your foot’s off the ground you’ve got a high opportunity he been shown a a red card well the game was done then because you know with 10 men given what was at stake not a chance the the big surprise to me was cly didn’t make it more than the two1 score the penalty of course was a great chance for Matt O’Reilly and other chances as well but there was a great line from your old pal Ian Crocker who said late in the game Celtic are giving a master class on how to not see out a game that you should have won I thought it was a really good line yeah it was a good line and it I think may be typical of a lot of Celtic performances this season speak to any Celtic fan who’s got a a season ticket uh just a lot of the stuff is has not been pretty to watch and they’re just wanting it to improve and they’re obviously looking for the club to to get better quality players just but Andy we’re talking obviously about the Cup Final just looking ahead I think Rangers need to come up with something totally different now to get that one in the Cup Final whether that’s a different formation different Personnel they need to come up with something different because clearly it’s not worth the last few games I I’m I’m struggling for a different Personnel other than kimar Ru uh but I mean Des is goal yeah he’s scoring goals and you got to stick by just look at the Midfield do you bring DJ Sterling in you set me I spoke about it leading up to the game and day and I just thought Callum again and Saturday get too much time and if you give very good players too much time on the ball they’re going to hurt you here’s what Brandon Rogers said about the game at the weekend we had a very very good win it was um a great day for the team and uh for the club and that’s our job we’re here to serve of the supporters and in the club and it’s always a great way when you can beat one of your main Rivals so yeah a very important significant win for us and uh p is in a really good place and Andy you’re talking about killing off the game Celtic have had a chance to kill off the title race that’s it if they take anything tonight and will giving up he he is um go yourself Robert here phip come on last night after the 5-2 wi with the ball we start with the good intentions from the start first half with a lot of movement without ball with good combination play with not enough efficiency in the final third but a lots of positive things but without balln in the first half in our reaction after losing ball in our being strong in the DS and when you get kicks or or pushes and the referee doesn’t whistle to continue going in our contact in the 16 on crosses so at the end the first half you you come out of that with uh with being behind although you were better on the ball but it’s of no use if without ball you’re not good enough so I was really angry about that at halim because football and they know it’s the both sides and second half then you see what they can do if are focused on boting but I cannot make myself angry every halftime or before every game that’s impossible it needs to come out of the team and they need to understand that and take lessons out of this this is the perfect example today boots of the pitch at halim and a lot of Applause after the game because people enjoyed how they saw the team play how they saw how we scored how aggressive they were how they win the jewels how they didn’t concede in the second half so this is the perfect example and I hope and I’m going to put a lot of attention to that again to get this in out of these last two games but it needs to come out of the player got to come from the the players yeah believe me when I say this Paul supporters love seeing good football but also they love seeing you run hard chasing tackling getting in team’s faces and that wasn’t the case in in the first half and as I said he can’t have to do this every half time it has got to come within it’s got to come within that group of players it’s got to be two three four players on that pitch that need to let the the guys R about them though listen this ain’t good enough we we we need more we need to do better here and he got so much praise Barry but as part of management you have to also get that kind of effort from everybody no matter how good the manager can only say much so Hamilton at new Douglas Park Hamilton AIS against iness CI thisle so if Bayer Leverkusen beat Atlanta in the Europa League final which they may well do the good news is Barry F Rangers as it looks like they will be Runners up here in Scotland they’ll be seed throughout the qualification process for the champions league and that could be really significant yeah it could and it could make it easier Paul cuz you you know some of the teams that you get in their qualification games are are decent good quality um players uh so yep I’ll be obviously rooting for by lusin and we all will be Andy you mentioned earlier on I know we touched on it last night we need to raise the bar a bit and we just got to a European final 22 23 months ago less than two years yeah they they the Run of results that was just really impressive and raised our coefficient level to a stage where we we got automatic entry into the Champions League Celtic were you know in and out of good some good results some bad results but um it’s up to everyone else as well you know you want you always want heart saine whoever it is now it’s we’ve got a bit of sub a b of comman you want them involved in these European competitions but you want them to get through the qualifiers and and get get victories every single game is important we’ve seen that over the last couple of years with different nations getting very close to us if not overtaking us Brendan Rogers said last night Celtic don’t have to sell anyone this summer they don’t have to we don’t have to sell we’re not in a position to do that but of course if there’s something comes in then like it happens at Celtic the it’ll always be looked up but um but there’s not a need to to S Matt’s had an absolutely brilliant season for us and it’s great Testament to his professionalism and how he’s developed as a football player um then naturally those players will attract attention if you’re done well and you’re done a well at a club with a status and and pressure then naturally the attention will come but U but it’s not something I I lose sleep about but some really interesting chat about the quality that they lacking you’re you’re shaking your head Andy before I go to that well the business model is you got a good offer you s they’ve done it for the last I don’t know how many years and that is to be H applauded Celtic’s business structure is very impressive have they got the balance right by giving the supporters maybe or holding on or getting others that could replace them that were of a similar quality in order for them to be better in Europe I don’t think so but if a really good offer come comes in for matter really I think one the player will want to go I mean Atletico Madrid playing in Spain playing in La Liga playing for one of the uh the biggest one of the richest clubs around uh of course he he’ll want to go and c will be happy to do business and nobody would argue with that interesting comments here about the quality that they’ve had his last time round here there’s definitely certain positions we we would want to have um uh finalized sooner rather than later for sure but uh but yeah ideally if we can do that be great but I think what’s what is really important for us this summer is getting the the level of quality that I want into the into the squad uh that that will be absolutely key uh for the growth of this this team I think the guys like as I said this season have been absolutely fantastic um but uh but next season we need more depth you know in in the squad and and again I’ll go back to a little bit to my my past here where you know I was making changes going away to Russ County making like eight changes and was bringing into that team short Armstrong Ryan Christie these guys have shown that their Premier League quality I remember going away to taking a team to to Dubai our training camp and uh the second team and this was a proper game the second team beat the starters 5- nil and that gave me great food for thought then when I came back for the second part of the Season it was a proper football game so that told me then the depth is required and and I think that’s something that uh you know was definitely required here CU we we probably lost a bit of that in the summer and but there’s no doubt we will we will need to to restructure that going forward as I said we got some fantastic players here and uh we want to add to them Andy Walker yeah when you look at the Quality they had at that point and remember Celtics football at that time under Brendan Rogers I thought was sparkling it was brilliant it was great to watch but that was you Paddy Roberts in the team you had Scott Sinkler in the team so there’s Pace right right away a bit of trickery as well a lot of skill and the focal point was udson Edward who you got for for 9 million um and as um Brendan Rogers was saying there when you’ve got Stuart Armstrong Ryan Christie you also had Kum McGregor you had a captain in Scott Brown so you’re talking about a much better level of quality then so Brendan Rogers obviously wants that back but it’s all very well seeing it he I thought he was seeing it with a A View to getting a a few in in January and it never happened and then the narrative changed you know there been a shift hasn’t there yeah what I’ve got and again you speak to every Celtic supporter you meet and they they they don’t like this idea that Celtic just want to be in front of Rangers just be better they they’d love to do something in Europe Barry what do you make of it as a reminder of some of the quality that has been there yeah I mean Andy’s just rhymed off players I mean the they quality players that could could hurt in an Ideal World a manager wants two players for every position and there’s going to be injuries if you’re in all Cup competitions you’re playing in Europe you’re able to go and make changes that are not going to hurt the team um and listen it’s not just Brandon Rogers I’m sure Philip clont will want that I’m sure any manager wants that but listen it comes down some players wen’t guaranteed to play but Andy yeah but I think one of the big differences by is Celtic have got the money to do it I I I don’t know where Rangers are financially but we all know that Celtic have got the money to do a lot more and you know for some reason they choose not to bar when Ian’s been on asking what do you make everyone loves Jack butland no question and the Rangers manager yesterday said um we can’t live without um Jack butland for next season he can’t possibly important but at the end of the day I don’t think it will be the manager’s decision po everybody’s got a price in their head Jack butland I mean I’m I’m sure Andel agreee with me I think he’s been phenomenal since he’s come up here what are signing in a free transfer I’m sure there’ll be a lot of interest I still believe he’ll get into the Euro squad for for England um I still think there’s a chance but if somebody comes in with an offer and it suits the club they might need to look to go and do business cuz by bringing that amount of money now I think similar what I say m maty I think you’d be looking at 15 million qu at least for for Jack so if you want to do a rebu Rangers might not have the money so they might need to go and sell prize prized assets and I think the only prized asset they have at this moment in time is Jack I would love them to stay and they’ve got a new guy Rangers who is looking at Players who’s the the guy that Philip come on trusts it was him I can’t remember his name bar the the um Corin yeah yeah so there’ll be a a bit of pressure on him to identify players and a whole host of of positions and I agree with you I think if if there’s a serious offer for butland you’ve just got to start doing better business and for a while I mean phip come on said that the the other day the amount of players that go to the end of their contracts when they they could be worth something you’ve got to have a better business model and Rangers of black but we’re speaking about that in Monday Andy we were talking about it last year Melos and Kent running down their contract this year you had l and in barisich and I think if you you look at the four players I mentioned there you gr into your final year You’ either want to stay you and if they’re no want to do it you get them out the door with a season to go and at least get some money back in that then can go to the the manager’s kit last night was Rangers last home game of the season and it’s a season where they’ve won The League Cup and they were looking a double and maybe a tri in recent months but it went wrong in the last what four or five weeks of the season but Philip Kong reminded everyone today and put it in perspective of the progress they’ve made but look where we were 6 months ago boys and we need to be realistic about that we need to be realistic about that where the squad was 6 months ago where they’re now you need to see also how many you need to see the age of the team that was on the pitch today that started and that ended the game also so we are working hard they are working hard I can not say anything about that the last 6 months about working and will willing to work not but they need to take the right lessons to become really top top players and to become a top top club and we’re going to work hard all together to get that and you see again today the potential but being a top player and that’s the difference look at the Premier League they’re all really good players but the top players are the ones who are there every time with and without ball both not wanting Barry what’s it going to take to get the top player mentality into enough experience experience campaigners guys who can go and play 40 50 games a season and handle the the pressure and the the standards that are needed to play with Rangers and look who has been the star man Jack butland how much did he cost zipple just the wages he was available to everyone but he’s come in and he’s he’s been arguably Rangers better player there are players like that who are down in England because it’s a wash with so many players they have to produce everyone has to produce a sort of 25man squad but there are some players who might not make that and and just want to play and you need to be clever and smart and knowledgeable and find them sea they might need to go down the loan Market again I think SEMA K was a slow bner to start with but then he’s became such an important player he’s obviously been injured he’s been a big m the last few weeks that’s another thing that’s another thing that feel Kon talks about often the amount of injuries clearly something clear he’s going to make changes I heard him in his his presser on Monday it’s clear there’s he’s not happy what’s obviously going on but I’ve got to understand the last like few years or three years managers have come halfway through a season poll they come in with different methods and training ideas um so it’s it’ll be interesting to see what what happens come this summer but there’s there’s no denying that the manager is desperate to make quite a number of changes was somebody you mentioned a young player Ross mland who probably stopped Celtics party last night with that goal just on halftime which a great discussion to have and I wonder if anyone in Scotland would take wolves lead would they just say let’s talk about this because they’re doing it down south and you know I I see today that Willie colum has taken over the the Crawford Allen role as the head of Scottish referees I I honestly thought when that job was up for grabs I thought someone you don’t need to have a knowledge of Scottish Football you just need to have a knowledge of the laws of the game and the application of VAR and I thought if someone from out with Scotland came in to to take over that and and guide our referees in a better way in so much as let’s just use it sparingly let’s not re referee games which I think is what we’re doing bar stole my thunder I was told to you before Andy come in yeah I I I on VAR it’s John Beaton so any thoughts on that Nick Walsh one of the top honestly sorry bar I’ve just I’ve got no quams about any referee getting a big game or whatever but then of course you have the 90 minutes and you you examine their performance like like everyone else and Philip kimon said that as soon as you buy into the fact that referees are doing something deliberately the game’s gone offer and certainly not surprised that he would play tonight and help Celtic get another title do you think you’re going to the Euros what do you reckon I would take him I would take him the three extra places are available obviously there’s a few injuries for me yeah I I think I’ve not got enough wide players James Forest experience he’s been there done it or the t-shirt and also the boys going to come up against tonight Armstrong I’d take him as well there’s a a flexibility um about James Forester especially we going from 23 to 26 it might be something that um Stevie CLS would that’s a good shout and Danny Armstrong we’ll come back to that here’s Brandon Rogers speaking about James Forest I think just on the performances alone I think he’s he’s been hugely influential but it’s not just in the games James’s influence in training is his first class he set it’s a great uh standard as does Alexa Callum you know these are guys that have been here and done it over many years the humility that they have and how they how they set those standards on on a day-to-day basis and how they manage to change in room is is so impressive so um but James has been outstanding since he’s come in um like I say he maybe didn’t play so much as what they’ve liked in in the last numbers of years and I Comm in knowing how brilliant he was for me but thinking right he’s going to be a cover player for us and there’s a new generation of players to come in um but the reality is and I said this a few months back openly and uh that I could still see he was our best Winger and uh and that’s no detriment to the other guys this is a this is a guy who’s top player okay and he’s getting a bit older in age and maybe they’re pressing an intensity and all that sort of stuff maybe not where I would want it to be a lot of the time but what you can never deny his how effective he can still be in a game and I just felt then we’re getting to that stage where I need to put players in that I know are going to be consistent I know what I’m going to get so I know what I’m going to get from James I see on a daily bases and and he’s done it for me often enough over many games and Barry you mentioned somebody there let’s look at Kelly for tonight so they’ve been really what a season it’s been for them and Danny Armstrong big part of the success yeah I mean I look at K and I think of the front four pole Kennedy Armstrong Watkins i s um young boy Watson in the middle of the pitch young player of the year they’ve got some really good players H comeand up um I think it’ll be a tough one for Celtic tonight there’s no doubt about it it’s command’s last home game as well they want to to go out with with a win so I think Celtic know they need to get down there and and be on it because if Celtic are not on it comeand that I’ve got players that can that can damage you one one of the teams that give Celtic a real physical challenge with AEL and Watkins especially they’re good Midfield really like Watson I think he’ll go H to a bigger better Club he’ll have a really good future in front of them so a tough one but given what’s at stake you just expect Celtic to rise to that challenge again is there any sense bar that maybe Kelly have done the job they’re in Europe they’ve had a great season that they might slightly subconsciously not be as no I think Bar’s as professional as you get and he’ll be on his players um listen they can spoil their party tonight and that will be um Co man looks Focus to go out and and try and um get the result that they they’ve got before um against Celtic but I agree with Andy if you’re a player and you’re going down there and you know what’s at stake you’ve got a chance he winning a league title a yard on your 100% Can Kelly hold on to the manager Derek mck I I don’t think Derek will go anywhere know he’s been spoken about hibs I think he’s got a brilliant board he’s building a right good team they’re building a new training ground as of hibs and Aberdine who have got bigger budgets than Kamar they both ended in the bottom six and there you have kamalu flying high and and and secured a good time a go and I think it’s about 55 the next two games like he did before when he played really good games and it’s about learning out of those situations so no it was uh it was the plan to take him out after 45 or 60 Minutes bar is that with a view to The Cup Final yeah 100% Paul he’s he’s been out for a period of time uh um and he was open about playing him 60 Minutes look there’s no doubt he’s he’s a very good attacking fieldb defensively he’s suspected times the manager just giv him a warning there that he needs to tid you up in that a bit but for me um every everybody’s fit in that left back area he’s a number one left back well it’s taking him a while just to to make an impact I’ve got to say I’ve always been impressed with barisich I know he’s not a he’s maybe not a fans favorite but I’ve always been impressed with his quality and you look at his end product his end product at the weekend there with that cross to the back post that eventually leads to the goal for Des I mean it’s absolute quality takes out the goalkeeper causes all sorts of problems and over his time at Rangers the amount of quality balls good end product that he has put into the box uh Redman yelmar will be will be doing well to to get that amount of assists that that he’s given over the years and the young boy come on and I need to say again Robbie Fraser I thought he was excellent Paul making his debut um in front of that big crowd I thought the young man was impressive um he showed a lot of determination um so it looks to me if there’s another young player um going to make his Market Ranger soon hopefully and he could play at some point against harks at the weekend the last Le yeah it’ll be interesting to see if there’s many players back out that 11 pole um but I think listen with the obviously what happens tonight in terms of result wise fully expect Celtic to get the job done I think Rangers focus our total focus is on a week in Saturday if I’m been honest sure is 0808 17 17 700 we’re just waiting for the team carer scales and Taylor McGregor o atti and then forest maida and Adam so Celtic I think are matching karok in a way in terms of a a physical uh approach and and he’s just as good defensively as he can be an attack and obviously there’s a big threat any set pieces uh command to overload that box bar memories there of gamakas doing well in scoring against karik just the I think I don’t think Cela have replaced yaka makas of them I’ve been honest Paul totally different type of Striker to kyogo really physical but again well he done the hardest thing in the game and that’s put the ball in the the back of the net he has done pretty well uh and I agree with Andy they probably think of the physical side obviously it’s going to be that type of game tonight and that’s probably why Adam’s in in from the start James was right on it there wasn’t he I was another site to you were in first Andy well done James all over Jam was on the what site was I on what about bigart what about you you Barry you were one of the first when he was coming to Celtic to say I think he’ll do really well cuz you know Jo the picture Paul I knew it and listen he’s come in for a bit of criticism over the last three Seasons he’s been but I tell you something Celtic will find it hard to replace Joe Hart not just because he’s a a very good goalkeeper he’s a massive character and even he was younger when I played with at Birmingham you could tell when he come in from Man City he’s going to go right to the top H he was always pretty vocal and Brilliant trainer one of the hardest trainers i’ I’ve came across um as I said big voice in the dress room but I think he’s come up here and I think he’s been excellent for C the last impressive Englishman they had was friezer Foster and when he left it they spent what five million on barers and that just did not work out s up had to take a hit on that one but Joe Hart again someone who’s free and he’s come up and and done the business could Fraser Foster come back for a third time Andy he’s only 36 for a goalkeeper he might be on the list he might be someone they’re looking at he’s been here before and he’s done it and I think was always very impressive he’s got an extraordinary you know status about him physical presence but I think more importantly he he makes big saves you do tend to think of goalkeepers now and how just how good are they with the ball at their feet because every manager wants to highlight the fact that they get the ball at their feet can they can they pick a pass 20 30 40 yards and uh that’s such a big part of goalkeeping though bar what do you think I think frer Foster me a few times FR fer um some of his performan he certainly against Rangers in the past were were excellent he’s a he’s a quality goalkeeper let’s be honest um but he’s not getting any game time I’m sure he will be one of the goalkeepers maybe that are looking at I’m a big believer Paul it’s all great and well and saying that oh it’s great to see young players or players at 24 25 but you can’t buy experience I think you need a number of experienced players if they’re not even going to be starting the the 11 to have in the squad Seth Hampton keeper been mentioned Alex McCarthy we spoke about it last night Andy any thoughts on him yeah I’ve seen him before covered a couple of Southampton games another one who doesn’t strike you as being very comfortable with the the ball at his feet but makes I mean Southampton are the type of team that are normally defending and he makes a lot of saves but distribution you look at what Celtic are now they’re a team that dominate pretty much most games and they want the manager wants a lot of the the attack moves to be started with a goalkeeper I seen Angus gun mentioned as well but as a POS I think it’s a priority position not just at Celtic but any team when you think back over this season Barry the amount of points the jack butland is is got for Rangers I’ve always say I believe a top class goalkeeper is worth 12 15 points a season for sure Celtic fans what do you think I know you’ll be getting ready for the game now tonight so Hart Johnson Carter vicker skilles and Taylor McGregor obviously played up front he he just picked up positions and your Blind Side nonstop but I was thankful I had two good center backs behind me who continually spoke to me Craig Mo and he on the bench um who caused who have caused sorry I should say a lot of teams problems all season and then the young player the year in the middle of the pitch and I agree with what Andy says ear about young Watson I think they’ll struggle to keep a hold of him Paul he’s been so so impressive Player of the Year you know young Player of the Year young players player of the year uh the EFA Andy David Watson yeah I like him I like him and uh I’m I’m drawn just to the goalkeeper cuz Kieran oara starts and they go will Dennis is is on the bench so maybe just giving him an opportunity see what he does and he’ll definitely come under some sort of pressure tonight and I like Donley in the middle of the park as well I think he’s a good foil for for anyone decent footballer H can play a pass and again just that type of experience that he’s had you know at at mother W I think kok have have still managed to get a lot out of him Celtic fans driving down we want to hear Brendan Rogers his Reflections on the season so far I think it’s safe to say the first six months was awkward it was a little awkward in so many ways uh with so many things happening on and off the pitch we stayed very unified and and concentrated on our work and the process of how we work um knowing that we just keep chipping away and and then uh hopefully we get into this part of the Season which we’re all excited about to to perform and and that’s what the team have done so um it’s just a concent it’s a day-to-day thing it’s an environment that that’s created it’s a standard that we set and uh and it takes really really players that are humble that and it’s the one thing I say right up until this this point is that there’s a lot of a lot of glory and a lot to focus on the players that have been playing and and over this the run this last period at time they’ve been fantastic but I I can also pay tribute to the players and recognize the achievements of the players that haven’t been playing uh and haven’t even sometimes been in the squad you know my recognition and acknowledgement to them is equally as proud as the players are playing and doing well because how they’ve conducted themselves how they train every single day uh that allows for the sessions to be at the very highest level if we had players that weren’t happy clearly every player wants to to play but there’s a way to behave when you’re not playing and these guys a lot of them have been absolutely magnificent and that that as a coach gives you great pride to see that cuz it’s not easy not easy if you’re not playing so uh so our preparation right the way through the standards that the players have set that has never wavered even when it has been a challenge but uh but they they get their rewards now and of course like I said after the weekend we’re nearly there and we’ve really got an exciting three games left to finish the season strong Andy can we just mention as well that Tommy Burns passed away on this day 2008 and Celtic um we’d honor him tonight and so too Kar there going to be a minute silence cuz of course he had a great time with Billy Stark there as player manager at Kil Maro but one of the all-time greatest of our Celtic players yeah it was just my my pleasure to play alongside him call him a teammate H it was also a pleasure to play under him he was my manager I think the biggest thing was that he he was a friend I know Rosemary misses him every day as do the the rest of the family but um there are just some players that pass through a club that make just an extraordinary Mark and uh in my time you know I I look at Tommy Burns as as one of those who just epitomizes everything that was good about Celtic what was it about him and his relationship with the fans well he treated everyone with a level of respect and a level of courtesy that I don’t think you get now and um I think he would be a good lesson for anyone in terms of how to behave how to treat people and he he had a warmth about them he had a real Drive about him to win games he was an angry man when we didn’t win and he would think nothing of um you know having an argument with I had numerous arguments with him on the on the training ground when he he thought I wasn’t he doing it or I didn’t do something right um but a bit like um Billy mcneel never held a grudge and was always warm always respectful when I left Celtic he was very he was very kind H towards me uh when he didn’t need to be took a bit of time out um just a lovely guy and and of course when I think of Tommy now I hope everyone will forgive me but he brings a smile to my face because he was just fabulous company uh great humor about him and you won’t hear anyone saying a bad word about Tommy no I know in this program before I’m always touched Barry when I’m reminded then this means this is the day after you came back from Manchester from the Europa League final and Walter Smith your manager you as the captain of Rangers and you diverted on the way back from you know it was really really tough but no hesitation so the Rangers bus you went to that’s respect Paul that’s a respect thing and and listen that that’s what we’ve done after the disappointment obviously suffering a defeat um and obviously I what with Scotland a lot of fun times him um good banter about sell taking Rangers but listen he was a good coach very good coach you know do you not tell a story once about playing against your brother Derek and actually complimenting him during a game about you know how well he was playing this was during a Celtic Rangers game CU I think he just admired the fact that this young lad Derek Ferguson Bar’s brother had come into the team and was holding his own against a really experienced Celtic team and Tommy was giving him praise during the game wow the fans wouldn’t believe that really would they so an old firm game and Tommy Burns twists and turns wonder you well yeah still joined in when um he took obviously the the sessions at Scotland he joined in in the the boxes I’ll never forget his boxes were the biggest boxes I was ever involved in you know what I mean normally it’ be like 10 by 10 but Tom’s box were like 20 by 20 you were knackered by time cuz that was part of the warm-up you just getting used to a touch of the ball but you would always join in but listen he was a not just a a very good coach he was a a top guy and I always remember with cash for kids hugely successful in the early years the first footballer ever to come in with somebody he came to radio Clyde one day and he said Tommy Burns is there for you and I went along and he had a had a big bag full of tracksuits one of them I remember League Cup Final and and jerseys and he’d signed them got signed by the players and these were the actual jerseys hard to get and he gave a big haul of uh his Scotland and Celtic stuff for the kids in Glasgow and the West is phenomenal well I’ve I’ve known a lot of Celtic players who would make hospital visits home visits to to people who were just looking for a bit of a lift maybe someone of the the family had been in touch and I think Tommy almost embarrassed you into being you know a better person because he did it so often that you almost feel I need to take a lead here I need to take some pressure off him I need to I I need to be the same and I think a lot of Celtic players certainly around the time that I was there took a lead of Tommy and it was one of the best things we did bar you know at that time as well he with the Celtic players and the Rangers players would come along to the cash for kids lunch on the Friday can you imagine it after training on a Friday you were all there at the lunch interesed put tracks with did youy I thought the every single one went to the the children even the the other point I would make um that I remember and I I I say this because almost every member of my family are grateful for I’m I’m one of 11 and when my dad H died Tommy brought the whole team to the uh the funeral and it it just it meant a lot to my mom and uh it was just a a lovely thing for him to do because he didn’t need to do that and he made you captain for the day as well didn’t he he made he got a few things wrong come on he made me Captain once because he knew that H my old man was on his uh last legs and that I’ll never forget it I was Captain of Celtic against mother at F Park and we we drew the game one each but it it’s one of the goals that I always remember really well because I was Captain and and I scored a good goal against my my former Club but um just the the chat that we had H that day that that stays with me for a long time so much goes on Barry doesn’t it that people don’t hear about from the big I think it’s important just that you’re saying about you’re mentioning cash for kids when I was at at Rangers in both occasions it was always important that we we done things like that um and I don’t think you see enough of that nowadays and but that was something that we were that was drilled in us and what we had to do it was Club policy and it’s um it’s it was like good times it was important that you done that and you showed a different side CU a lot of people just think you’ve been on the pitch obviously off the pitch you can do a lot to help as well people would say to you didn’t they I didn’t think I liked you because the way you were I Sten that get that’s family yeah you can understand with him you understand we we should we should say today as well at Alison Lon and he died in this day 2001 Bobby Murdoch I mean what a midfielder bar is one of the great midfielders before your time but Bobby Mur I’m glad you’re not asking because obviously I was B he was he was my dad’s favorite player was he and well there was so many to choose from you know Jimmy Johnston and Bobby Lennox and all the other lines but I think he’ a special H place for Bobby M good to remember R boy as well yeah it was indeed yeah the great things um have come out of the the old firm and just finally before we get your predictions for the game gilm balagu you know that excellent the Spanish journalist um he’s been in Glasgow the weekend so it was obviously it was all Celtic fans at the game but he said he thoroughly enjoyed it um at the match and incredible long weekend in Glasgow I’ve again enjoyed the hospitality the passion for football the respect for all things Spanish and the general bonami of the town was City and it people this is one of my favorite places in the world and he went along to the podcast which of course fores uh it was live at the Pavilion I take it with her own AG Gro who was there that’s great isn’t it yeah listen I’ve said it before Paul when um I played down in England the first time I walked through the dressing room door the guys were right at me want to go to an old F game and when you actually bring them up and you let them sample it and that was the good old days when it was 8,000 Celtic fans or 8,000 Rangers fans at at the away grounds they could not believe the atmosphere and what the game was all about and you hear so many people talk about the first visit to Glasgow going to a a Rangers Celtic game or a Celtic Rangers game they cannot believe what they’ve they’ve just sampled for me nothing beats it he’s given Glasgow a great sale I I remember meeting him in London a couple of times just doing a thing for sky and I loved his knowledge about Spanish football and he’s got a he’s got a hot line to like a Messi he can get in touch with him and out and start this game tonight well the the biggest job has been done by Bea Rangers at the weekend that was the one that they had to get in the bag and that has given I think everyone around the club the biggest lift because they know just uh one more point we we’ll do it they’ve got two games to get it done and I think they’ll go there with a huge amount of energy and I I’ll say it again the actual occasion of securing the title The celebrations that come with it I mean I know you you always celebrate a win against Rangers but to actually secure the title nothing else can be be done by anyone any of your opponents so I think you want to be part of that occasion and they they’ll want to put on a good performance tonight and I expect them to win by a couple of goals do you think brandan Rogers will feel looking at the season we had him a few minutes ago Barry and he said you know not it wasn’t easy and of course it was rugby park where it was the first defeat in that he hadn’t experienced defeat in a cup in in Scotland in his last time round so yeah and I thought it when the game ended kand thoroughly deserved the victory no doubt about it I remember the game Celtics started really well first 20 minutes or so but comeand that were strong defensively and then as a game went on um comeand that we’re we’re worthy winners no doubt about it but if that’s me if I’m involved in this you’ve got a spring in your step you know what’s in front of you you’ve got a tough 90 minutes up against a a good manager and a good team but I can’t see anything apart from Celtic getting the the vital three point yeah Kelly have hurt them before the league game The League Cup game um and and Comm put a team together that you know gives giv most teams a a run for their money and that’s been showing the fact that they’ve qualified for Europe but just given what’s at stake tonight I think Celia will do it just looking at the Celtic team there and we saw in Sky Greg Taylor knows all about Kar that’s where he came from Barry you’ve liked him he’s he’s a kind of unsung hero doesn’t get too much sorry he steady Edie you know what you’re going to get off Greg Taylor 67 out 18 um I think he cost what I think it was actually new Lenin was it new Lenin at bottom for 2 million pound so he’s been well worth the the 2 million pound no doubt about it um and he’s he’s an important player for for Brandon Rogers and he he’ll know I’m sure he’s one of the players in the dress room tonight letting them know what they’re going to been for they’re going to been for for a tough game I don’t think it’s going to be easy cuz command look’s last home game of the season they finished in fourth place and deservedly so but I I I I believe if I’m sure Andel G if you’re in this position Paul you know what’s you know what’s needed to be done and that’s making sure you you get at least a point but you never go in looking for a draw you go in and making sure you you get that one and I think I think Celtic tonight I’ll just have too much for K I think with Greg Taylor I didn’t realize he was so capable of playing killer passes the amount of times I’ve seen him not just a ball wide you know when he’s inside the you know almost the middle of the park or inside left the amount of killer balls that he plays in behind the defense I didn’t really realize he had that in his game until you know an poo paid him in that he started off as a midfielder as a young player coming through command it must be where it comes from Barry because the amount of times I’ve seen him play killer passes and you think wow that’s that’s really impressive mean last year it was Alexander bernabe was brought in wasn’t he for a few million and yeah great exactly Greg tiller must think all the time I know I’m not one of the big stars but he is so depend he’ll know this summer when the manager says I want more quality in but as bar said in the first ER you need two at least two players for every possession would you agree Y and I think he’s still got a lot to offer so any player uh will always take on a challenge you bring in someone in your position you always view it as a challenge I’ll still be able to play H you know when the big the big games come around and I think Greg Taylor will welcome any sort of challenge he’s he’s had that in his time there he and he seems to be still the the Undisputed number one left back that they have Barry Cameron Carter Vickers I know you you admire him greatly and it’s no coincidence he came back what six weeks ago it coincided with Celtic going on this run he makes him a better Tempo stronger defensively he he’s such an important player and you I think you see the difference when he’s in the team certainly when he was out the team I thought they look so vulnerable at the back but he comes in he’s calm he’s cool he’s collected um he’s obviously a leader and again he’s been a he’s been a massive signing for Celtic and he’s such an important player yeah one of the ones that maybe Brendan Rogers was refering to when when you lose him you lose a wee bit of the heartbeat of the team you’ve got K McGregor in the middle of the part who’s a natural leader but I think at the back car Vickers is you know he’s an organizer he’s aggressive he drives everyone on he takes charge takes control and that’s what you want and a central Defender and Dyson maer came back Andy I’m just looking at the team uh MAA and and how did he do for you at the weekend against Rangers well just some of his recovery runs when Rangers were trying to break uh no one’s got the pace or determination of maer no one seems to have the humility two of them I I thought it was a really good I know he picked up a yellow card when the the goal was scored but to see him sort of lose his normal discipline and jump in with all the supporters it was a it was a lovely moment for him yeah cuz they’re kind of you don’t often see that kind of emotion from him yeah and it was just something so new So Fresh So Exciting and it such a big game and the atmosphere obviously got to him and H just a lovely moment for him and the the fans but he’s the the scourge of well many Defenders and looking to R hatti what do you feel about him I didn’t think it was his best game at the weekend have been honest with you but listen he is he’s a as a midfielder myself genely that’s the area where I I tend to watch and listen he’s a quality player Paul there’s no doubt he’s one that I’m sure when Celtics signed they had hopes that if one day was going to go he one that they’re going to make um a fair profit on and there’s no doubt again he’s one of the players that has been missing for a large chunk of the season but he’s made a difference and if you look at the the Celtic Midfield three of McGregor oil and hatti it’s a really strong Midfield three who would be your Celtic Player of the Year Andy who would you vote for Matt D he’s been the choice for the players player you know one of the contenders and he’s also I think still in for the football right who do you reckon uh probably o i’ give a good mention to Liam skilles who come in at a time when you know Celtic had spent a lot of money on Central Defenders they were injured everyone thought he was going to go on loan to to abine where he’d been before but he’s pretty much kept his position for for the whole season and he struck up a decent partnership with Carter Vickers and I think more importantly he’s a type of guy that knows he can get better he can improve and that’s what you want in any Young play Barry who’s your I think your Rangers player of the year I think I know who it would be yeah it’s Jack botland got to be isn’t it by a country mile so we can’t overrun tonight because the game will be on shortly Barry what do you reckon is it going to be Celtics night or is it going to go to Saturday yeah I think it’ll be a close one but I think command that one Celtic too Don't believe that all Celtic fans just want to beat rangers Europe is a must in the coming season and I think Brendan will spend as much as aloud to do that HH
