a few months ago now I got fitted for some brand new vit sm10 wedges and I’ll be honest with you I’ve not put them in the bag just yet because I’ve not fully reviewed them in this video I’m going to give them a full review tell you what I like and dislike about these wedges and whether I’m actually going to put them in the bag now um actually got proper fitting the guys from titless came up here to the hit Studio talked to me about what I want with my wedges what do I like what do I not like and we came up with this combination of a 50 degree gap wedge effectively in this kind of blacked out finish looks great by the way in 8 degre bounce and F grind because that’s more for a fuller shot we then went with a 56 degree Sand Wedge in 8 degree bounce M Grind and then means manipulation so basically you can open the club face up you can light back a little bit more you can do a bit more manipulation with it and then also I’ve gone with a 60° lob wedge 8° bounce M Grind same as the 56 again a bit more manipulation um I have tested these wedges so far took them over to America at the start of the year and actually hit loads and loads of short shots around the greens pit shots bunker shots and this is what I found so certainly with the short shots around the green I actually love the look behind the ball I’ve been trying to use less lofty golf clubs recently when chipping so using my 56 and 50 a little bit more I found that the ease of of hitting through the the kind of thicker grass over in America as actually Bay Hill which has tremendously thick grass around the greens felt the club was actually sliding through the grass really nicely I’d even seen when the ball landed on the green it was stopping it was spinning um when I needed to kind of get it to run out a bit more I could put the hands forward and deloft it and kind of run it out a little bit more so certainly short shots around the green I was really happy with and again I’m not the greatest chipper in the world but these actually gave me a a pretty decent level of confidence bunker shots I really enjoyed certainly again switching between the 56 and the 60° I could really open the face up which I like doing in Bunker shots I could slide the club underneath the golf ball through the sand i’ actually just get in superb results in the bunker shots just again give me lots of confidence in my pitching more recently I’ve been working hard on my distance control and the wedge I’ve currently got in the bag the tailor Maids I’ve actually just recently done a wedge chart which has really helped me with my game and if I did put these in the bag I’d probably look at doing a wedge chart as well to get really dialed into the distances but actually just to again just blind doing it blindly at the moment at Bay Hill I Tak some medium shots and longer shots into this kind of small practice green out there at Bay Hill and you’ll see from these clips these golf balls were stopping so so quick now a lot of that is because these are brand new wedges you know they’ve been taken straight out the rapper and anything as soon as you bring out brand new wedges out into a green they often do spin like crazy anyway so I’ve experienced that in the past one thing that you don’t want to see is too much of a drop off in spin even after the first couple of rounds of golf which we’re not going to know yet cuz i’ might have put them in in the bag for a round of golf just yet um but what I wanted to do this why I’ve come back here to the hit studio is hit some Fuller shots with the 50 56 and potentially even with the 60 just see what the carry numbers look like see how they fly hit some longer shots what really caught me off guard and and the price has steadily been going up with Oki wedges over even from going back to like when first ever time spin M which is the SM stands for first ever spin Mill came out they’re about100 of wedge just over $100 a wedge these you ready for this for each individual wedge £ 169 170 a wedge now that’s going to be nearly $200 per wedge by time you got three I mean you can L quite literally get three uh Kirkland Signature from Costco wedges for the same price as one anyway and let’s hit some Fuller shots I’m going to go with the first and we when I got my fitting we spent quite a lot of time talking about how I like the club to be sat behind the bar what sort of turf interaction and also asking me a lot of questions and I believe you can do this on the vogi website asking me a lot of questions around what sort of turf do I typically play off as you know from the main Channel I play all different golf courses from Links golf courses to lush green golf course out in America in Dubai and then sometimes a wet Golf Course here in Manchester so it can really vary the type of different ground conditions but if you’re consistently playing one ground condition all the time at your home course it’s definitely worth checking out the website and answering the questions to give you a bit of a guide of what uh what bounce and and grind that you’re going to need anyway let it’s some 50° wedges pins here 120 yards this should be pretty much the [Music] number drop and stop it’s actually just interested I’ve just been hitting two irons in a previous review I’m going from two irons straight to Voki wedges there a bit of a difference in Flight there but for me vogi wedges aren’t really ever massively changing each probably every two years when they come out they’re so consistent uh they don’t feel they’re not the softest feeling wedges ever um but they’re soft enough that makes sense they’re not they’re not kind of like super forged not many wedges are to be honest with you um but they feel soft enough for these kind of fullish shots at [Music] least pretty similar to the first shot yeah this this pin just a bit tucks in that right [Music] corner yeah that’s pretty good pin High stops so quick feels great spin rate there well over 10,000 RPM nearly nearly knocking on the door at 10 and a half th000 RPM carrying 120 yards it’s exactly what want from a gap wedge exactly I’m going try and just fly this one a little bit lower let’s see if we can just squeeze five more yards out of it just pulled it a fraction but I mean so consistent I’ve hit those almost exactly the same distance each time yeah really happy with that like I said I think the Tes I did on the course and just even here just has confirmed what I found already that I feel like the numbers are just going to be perfect okay 56° I’ve just pulled the flag to 95 yards I’m going to try and almost land this over the flag and get it spinning back a little bit right down the neck of it spin oh yeah love it love a bit of spin yeah they’re just taking all the boxes it’s I mean it’s it’s is more if anything when you kind of testing folu wedges it’s more as if like it’s um verification process like nothing’s going to be a surprise like nothing I’m not going to hit a shot with a Voki and Go whoo that feels totally different cuz they just don’t certainly you if you’ve had vogi wedges in the past they all feel pretty similar to each other they’re just very minute changes as I mentioned earlier and as long as they suit your game and you get and I must admit first time for a while I’ve got fitted for wedges if you have that confidence that these are right for your game then it can only be a [Music] positive I mean they’re honestly identical shots aren’t they let’s be honest going to go one more see if I can get one even [Music] closer Spin and go in oh I just go on spin spin spin spin yeah I mean I’m taking any of those just looking at it now the the Gap wedges were going a little bit left but I think just I’m not normally on a golf course on the simulation I think just my uh my ey line is going for the fatter part of the green where with the 56 I managed to go a bit more at the flag I like it I I’ll go a bit of a silly one with the 60° uh I’ll just go from the right the front of the Fairway see if we can just flop one in there and get one spinning close okay I’ve just gone to 43 yards here with the lob wedge I’m just going to hit a little couple little Spinners in here see if we can get one really close that stops so quick need to give it a little bit more than that opening the face the touch and just getting a little spinner in there oh a bit long come on oh oh oh oh oh oh oh found a naughty slope okay let’s have a bit of fun here now let’s see if we can really get one spinning back in that hole love that now that know there’s a slope there got it the slope oh it wasn’t high enough get three more vogi wedges are great I think the price has gone a bit crazy I’ll be honest with you uh but suppose you are paying for the experience the quality but they also know they’ve got a hardcore audience that will buy vogi wedges every two years come on find that slow but it’s online come on n how far is that away I can’t be far away few feet I’ll go one more I don’t think that slope’s quite going to bring it back to the flag some extra bit of sauce on this one directly at it last one I want to get one past the flag and spin it back little bit skinny but it’ll spin ah I shouldn’t be disappointed with these shots but I’m going for a ridiculous one last one last one last one I can’t get it pass the flag now right guys I might be here for the next couple of hours trying to spin it down this bank now to see if I can get one in FY wedge is really really good um I think I will experiment putting these in the bag and I’ll probably see you
