whether we’re talking about this incredible venue or Nelly Corda win streak or maybe we’re even talking about Allison Corpus defending this week the plot continues to thicken at the 79th US Women’s Open I’m hope Barnett and you’re watching LPGA now let’s get into it I mentioned the course and that’s for good reason the USGA hardly returns to venues but with great crowds in 2015 for NG chun’s win we’re back at Lancaster Country Club here in Pennsylvania the elevation varies from hole to hole on this course and I am loving it for example this is par for third hole and the tea box is all the way up there so once you hit your t- shot there is a massive drop off which you come with me you’re about to see right behind me so if you get into the Fairway it then leaves you with a blind second shot into the green because it is directly back uphill and teeing it up this week are the best of the best Allison corpo is here to defend her title after winning at Pebble Beach last year there’s a lot of confidence just knowing you know like I’ve done it once so in theory it should be easier to do it a second time um and I think just the attention um definitely feels like there’s a little bit more uh obligations and I mean I’m definitely grateful for it I think it’s great I love you know just siging autographs for for young kids and stuff I think that’s awesome but at the same time it is new and Nelly Corda has won six out of her last seven events the last one being at the mizuho America’s open and according to her the US Open is pretty much at the top of her list to win you know I feel like this event getting to play it as a 14-year-old back in the day was where I realized that this is what I wanted to do for a living and you know get to come out here every year and compete at the GOL best golf courses for the highest prize money and against the best players in the world there’s nothing better than that and you should also keep an eye out for Hannah green she’s the only other player that has more than one win this season she went head-to-head with Nelly at mizuho where she just barely got beat the purse this week is up to $12 million so this week’s Champion is going to get a nice chunk out of that be sure to tune in all week to watch you’re not going to want to miss it [Music]
