hi everyone I’m Emily and today I’m here with Daniel gaale G hey yeah g that is correct Y how are you I’m great thanks for having me on so you got some questions for me eh yes I’m bit Star Struck right now yellow bucket the first question is what does your week a normal week look like for you normal week for me um I guess practice week so Monday to Friday we’ll go we’ll go off that um normally two days in the gym seeing physio um and training sessions and then outside of that I’m doing normally at least at least one maybe two other sessions um and um yeah most days I’m getting up at the moment I’m getting up at 5:00 a.m. every day and um starting my golf stuff from sort of 7 7:30 in the morning um I’ll practice all the way up until sort of lunch time have a bit of a 30 minute break 30 to 45 minute break and then go back into it and then um practice a few more hours maybe play some holes and uh normally done my day by sort of 4:30 5:00 and then go home have dinner stretch out and then uh go to bed and wake up and do it again um that’s sort of the routine at the moment and um when the days are longer I’ll um maybe do some longer days but um that’s how it is at the moment nice what do you focus on in the gym uh at the moment um I guess just sort of obviously strengthening it’s it’s a combination of things it’s I’d say it’s U Mobility is important I do a good stretch out to get the body ready for obviously um and the activation side of things as well so it’s ready for the workout that I’m about to do um it’s all body um whether it’s jumps um and just quick reaction because obviously Golf and speed training stuff you sort of trying to get those fast switch fibers activating to get bit bit extra speed here or there um so there’s some sessions with some jumps there’s your heavy lifting type sessions and um yeah you normally don’t do those back to back cuz the load on the body especially with some golf practice after that it really wears it down so it’s just a good balance of that and then some of the other sessions it’s just literally just get the body moving bit of activation and ready for some good golf stuff what is the key thing to elevate your game over your competitors key thing for me um ever since I I’ve always hit it pretty good um but my putting numbers were sort of a bit ordinary it was holding me back from sort of I guess I felt like there was a lot more to gain score wise and stuff if I could hold some more putts so um the past couple Seasons I’ve really elevated that and then this past season especially started making a bunch more puts in that scoring Zone sort of within 10 ft and um yeah that definitely took my game to a new level um but I definitely know that there’s more in the tank like little improvements here or there it’s probably a big combination of things like I want to say short game you can never improve that to a point where it’s perfect um there’s always room for Improvement and in all areas of game but um especially short game areas so anything within 120 M just dialing those little increments tighter um I feel like that’s elevated my game to a whole new level nice you’re potty like I’ve heard a saying drive for show pot for D yeah and it it really is like you can hit 300 M drive straight down the Fairway all day and um it doesn’t get the ball in the hole any in any shots unless you you make that part so you went to D for the first time in the F series Grand Final what was the experience like that that was an awesome week um it’s definitely one I look back on and it’s probably one of the peak weeks of my emor career it was one of the last few I think it was the last event I played as an emor um besides the Q school and um before the week even started I reached out to to Sir Nick and um asked him if we could get a game in cuz I was getting there a few days earlier and um we ended up playing nine holes the day before the event started which was pretty cool um I got miked up just like this um and CVS did a bit of a coverage thing on it uh the F Series so just to be able to play with one of the greats of the game pick his brain and yeah he was not to be any detri went to Sir Nick but he was 60 years old at the time I think and um maybe a bit bit older and he um he was phenomenal like just still striped it you could see back in his prime how how good he must have been um and I think we ended up tying for the nine holes I I hit it all over the place but he should have shot about five under I shot we both shot one under and um yeah it was it was just awesome like I I did feel pretty nervous um cuz on the second h of the pr PR around um all these carts and camera crew and stuff came out and yeah got a bit jurry he’s obviously used to it he’s he’s been in that scenario numerous times so um that was pretty cool it was cool to experience that and I was pretty proud of myself for reaching out cuz how many people get to play nine holes with a Hall of Famer like not many so um no I feel like I learn a lot from just those n holes and then I went on to nearly win his event I after two rounds I had a five shot lead and then the guy coming third place um he end up shooting nine under 61 in the last round he was stting the round six shots back I shot two under so he beat me by one shot um it was pretty much a two horse race when he got on a charge and um we separated ourselves from the rest of the field but he got me at the end and um came second like I played good like I mean you can’t do much about 6 ones um chasing you down by one shot but yeah I learned a lot from that week it was like I’m doing a lot of things really well I didn’t get the win but I felt like I win I definitely didn’t choke um but you know there was just little things here or there that you know I could have made a couple puts here and there in that final round or um so I definitely learned a lot from that experience and feel like it’s yeah I’ve taken a lot of those learnings into obviously Pro lifee and it’s helped me for when I get in ition and and big leads as well um you know knowing that you if someone chases you down then you can’t do much about it but more times than not you go out there and play well and yeah no one’s going to catch it and you had two under that day as well I did yeah that’s crazy you think two under would win with a five shot lead so I mean yeah it happens but um and it happened to me like probably 9 95 times out of 100 you’re not going to get caught maybe even 99 out of 100 you’re not going to get caught shooting 200 under power um a five shot lead but um I got caught and um yeah uh I learned a lot from that experience like I definitely didn’t you know try and play for pars or anything I stuck to my game plan and um yeah I won the compar bowl a few months earlier so I had maybe a bit of a lead going into that round too so yeah I I guess I just used my experience and then you know I didn’t get the win but I was like oh well like um that’s not that’s an experience that’s not going to happen too many times um you know just keep putting myself in that scenario and keep playing the way I did and I’m going to win more times than lose how do you mark your golf ball there just some pink dots keep it pretty simple um doesn’t require any um tools other than you know just a little permanent marker um I just started on pink one day and I played well with it I think so I’ve just kept at it nice well I notice that your birthday is also in May the 29th it’s very soon and mine’s coming up soon as well and I have a
