Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

hi I’m Eric and for the last 10 years I’ve traveled around the world playing golf and filming my Adventures one thing I’ve never done however is caddy well that’s about to change in a major way join me as I go like a pro at the 2024 PGA Championship with former winner Rich beams bag on my shoulders this is likely to be one of the most exciting weeks of my life so please don’t miss it stay tuned [Music] all right folks we’re here in Louisville Louisville super exciting you I’ve never ever been to Louisville I have rented a car from National many times cuz in their own words it’s nice to go like a pro and we can bypass this thing too Emerald Club Elite so thank you to National Car RTO for making this video possible if you consider the idea of bringing camera inside the ropes it’s unprecedented so I don’t know what’s going to happen over the next hopefully four maybe two hopefully 4 days I’m going to show up I’m going to shut up and I’m going to keep up it is 11:36 p.m. tomorrow morning I’m going to wake up and caddy in a major championship with Rich Beam at the PGA of Valhalla thank you [Music] there he is what are you doing Buddy Rich I’m locked in I got my tooth back I’m ready to go pull up to the clubhouse and I’ll come I’ll walk outside and find a you all right see you soon perfect sounds good all right thanks bye see it all right so we are on site got a little rain delay which is good I had to go to the dentist this morning what up dog how you feeling I’m good but I’m better I’m better than your tooth have you have you got crowns no I took care of my teeth as a Young Man let me take a look again I got nothing D good actually cadd is is downstairs around at the bottom okay cool thanks ra all right bro in case you didn’t realize this is a major this is a major Tiger Woods in a golf cart right there Tiger Woods in a golf cart right there I am not going to look at him I’m just going to I’m just going to look away I’m just looking away hey how you doing how you doing just trying to get some credentials uh ER blank catting for a rich [Music] Bean so we’re getting uh played around with a few different golf balls one that spins a little more we’re going to the original ball I’m just hanging out for dearl do this head on this shaft I got a I actually brought my yeah yeah I actually brought a wrench today see I like I like the little bit of distance we can get in that starting to get in sink this is 3° 19 so we’re setting this at neutral or one one up okay cool got to get the bag set up I got homework man I hope I make you proud and support you how you need sh this is going to be a blast all the way around I’m so shooked about this yeah [Music] by the end of this week Rich we’re going to have the same thoughts every we going to have like a Vulcan mind melt yeah dude it’ll be the corsan brothers remember that movie oh yes I do remember the Coran Brothers yeah it’s two brothers and uh and when one brother does something the other one feels it so if he’s mad at his brother he just goes and his brother’s like ow it’s going to be us all good close I was actually going to that when I switch I changed my mind at the last second man I read it too early so there’s like a fine line between getting a whiff and then being up his ass you want to be near him in case he needs anything always have like 60% % of my attention on him how close is he getting what’s his Target is that his Target but then also you don’t want to be annoying I can’t find him where’d he go oh there he is talking to somebody you know what’s funny is I went to the dentist this morning and she’s like do you want me to numb it and I was like I I just need to deal with the pain cuz I can’t I can’t be over here like I could just to 261 I think that would have been amazing what are you talking about I mean most of the Cades I ever had show up having the bag in anyways he used [Music] to to get my outfit ready for tomorrow got to get up very early and get going and um got to watch a lot of tape got to watch Rich’s game got to watch Valhalla see how it plays like I’m trying to like prepare just those words of inspiration that will get him back into the mindset of I’m a champion I’ve done this before not a lot of guys in the field have done this before right I’m not going to tell Rich how to play better golf than he can play and I’m not really going to talk him into a better decision than he can make on his own what I’m here to do is get him to the right mindset to succeed it’s almost like there’s more of a samurai mindset you know like like at all costs I’m willing to just play the game you know and like go for it and like and like live on the course now [Music] [Music] [Music] there nothing like a Wednesday morning on the Range 6 ft from tiger seems to be looming over this whole experience and you know I mean it’s not just two guys on the Range it’s the guy that beat him at this tournament 22 years [Music] ago wipe the grips May thy Club face be clean and may thy grips be sticky that’s the motto over here all right now we’re done all right so first hole pins front left six p on six Paces off the left right that bunker on the right’s no problem for him so he’ll probably be aiming at the TV tower there so maybe he’s looking at 220 in and so based on what we learned yesterday our numbers from 220 he’ll probably want to be hitting either the 7 wood or the four hybrid they’re kind of the same number this is go time right here this is the closest we’re going to get to simulating play without a bib for today [Music] some mistakes I didn’t have the putter ready as soon as he hit the green I should have had that thing ready to go we want to open this tournament up with a birdie here I mean it’s a Wednesday it’s a practice round but still I’m very nervous I think I might see if I can get one of the caddies that I’m friends with to go out with me maybe I’ll Shadow them while they’re caddying and just like watch I really think that would be a useful couple hours time simple things people will miss is a ball will land here yeah be a big splash Mark and be a r so yeah you fix all this but you also fix a splash Mark sure you see guys doing noobs they dig that in and they pull it right that’s bad that’s bad that’s horrible it’s pushing but you can’t push down and work but to push you’ve actually got to get low handle down handle low and push okay and it’s the whole sort of yeah you work out backwards H that is getting out of a lift like this without pulling on there you go and then do I pull here or no pull up towards you and then push there you go beautiful you don’t have to do the whole bunker don’t worry thank you thank you easy easy bro come on drop the towel drop the ball put the bag in the wrong place but I learned how to rig a bunker and I did I did point out line of sight to the next te so room for improvement I got 224 yep guess Roy’s over there Nice Shot brother [Music] [Music] woohoo shot I was sweating that one baby it’s hard to contextualize I asked fluff what he’s learned over his lifetime of catting and he goes I don’t have an answer to that question before that he said it’s a lovely game and you know it’s funny cuz he’s not like playing the game technically he’s not on the scorecard but uh know he is I guess that’s the biggest realization has it taught you anything about yourself I don’t have an answer for that one well if you think of one let me know all right baby not for me good round Rich than buddy some great shots dire a few cool see you soon I’ve seen you on I was hoping you’d ask on YouTube yeah you like the shows yeah good stuff don’t let Rich see this have a good one guys good job thanks you’re the man dude I see you you’re the man this is the caddy yeah how much practice bunker riking have you done so uh Nick you know uh Herbert’s caddy yes he gave me the walk through early on greatest beard awesome and that beard has like there’s all sorts of stuff in there secrets yeah yeah yeah I mean he taught me you know push don’t pull and that’s been really helpful today it changes everything when you do that the hardest thing cadan is your player knows it’s a major so you are more psychologist that week than any other week at any other tournament yeah it’s all about the psychology of hey man everybody’s making mistakes relax it’s not that big a deal it’s still grass in a whole yeah there’s a lot more psychology that goes into this and at a major it ramps up 10 yeah you’re going to have a blast it’s awesome I can’t wait how did Eric do first great it’s doing fantastic if you look at most caddies around like half of them are just kind of sitting off the side you know looking this way not caring you know not paying attention to what their players doing half the time and this and that you know and he’s just into it which is fully expected we’re just we’re playing golf you know you’re carrying the bag we’re chat we’re going to you know this and that but listen he knows the game of golf he knows what to do he’s been around the game for many years now and there’s nothing that he needs to know other than the simple fact that the player caddy relationship is you know it’s more like a buddy and you just kind of like like it’s knowing what your player needs at certain times and it’s it’s knowing when to back away and things like that but you know for this week alone though it’s more about me just making sure that he’s enjoying himself inside the ropes and hanging out and not taking on too much water because the more that he overthinks it the worse he’s going to be all right today’s the big day Rich sent over a text that said today is a good day to die that’s something we talked about last week about kind of the Samurai mentality about hey you know like every day a samurai shows up and says I am totally okay with the worst case scenario it kind of relates to one of my favorite kind of mental tweaks swing thoughts which is uh you know the ball has already landed and you know there’s a sense of Peace in that when I asked Rich tell me about your favorite place golfing like and he says oh tell you that easily he told me the name of the golf course and so I printed out some of the photos which I’m going to put in the yardage book today and show them on the first te just to get them really dialed into his inspiration of when he played golf all right so we’re walking up to the 10th green here trying to get some context on the flag ceremony on the green here today’s a new day never been here before totally new experience all right let go time [Music] I’m getting a lot of 20s and a lot of 160 156 right [Music] feur knock knock so I made these for you as a reminder of like what we’re doing today you know that place oh now I I’m like I didn’t recognize any of that for a second how cool is that that’s awesome you man yeah this whole thing man that’s awesome this whole thing me good afternoon and welcome to the 106th PGA Championship now on the te please welcome the 2002 PGA champion from Texas Rich Bean [Applause] [Music] so as soon as rich putts I grab the flag got 223 pin and a flag stick right of the pin I got two of seven cover [Music] got read this crazy stat the most commonly birdied hole 13 it out a rich [Music] beam shot from V [Music] okay Rich beam right putt Rich keep making putts like that or keep them out of the booth a little bit longer I’m talking about just a statistic bro most commonly birdied home you know that’s [Music] right prob I hit him with the most often birdied hole and he did it I’ll be honest curious to see what the front Line’s like [Music] going just tell me next time you want a shoe shine bro I’ll get down there I got a toothbrush got some [Music] wax yeah that started right the whole way fromo Paso Country Club to Val Hal [Music] [Music] it’s all right the samurai they look forward to this you know what I mean they’ll like get me on my [Music] back a lot of players are strle to make par at six PGA Champion Rich beam rolled in his par [Music] P gamer sh come on re come on come on come on [Applause] nice meet B thank you best L see you tomorrow see you bright early brother thanks nice to meet you yo thanks bu good to meet you hard to contextualize what happened today it’s like so many moments all in all didn’t make any huge mistakes which is great uh I dropped the putter cover once um got all the bunkers good it’s one thing to cadd in a major and not know what you’re doing it’s another thing to film yourself catting in a major not knowing what you’re doing or learning what you’re doing just trying to get to the weekend you know that’s what everyone’s doing whether we’re going to get to or not I mean we shot 8 over today 79 probably would need to shoot a 65 tomorrow to do that we’ll see you at 6:00 a.m. at the clubhouse [Music] [Music] my my middle back right now is just a little tight but I think that’s just a lot of walking dude yeah and it’s also just kind of how I’ve been swinging lately i’ been kind of hanging back this way and puts more pressure on it this way so yeah so now I just got to get on top of it just little ladies and gentlemen Welcome to the 6 annual PGA Championship now on the team please welcome 2002 PGA champion from Texas Rich be [Music] [Music] man I don’t know dude feel a lot better in the [Music] shorts he looking at the sheet I’ve been asking him to all day oh get excited uh-huh that was high [Music] five come [Music] on people won’t even go to dinner with me in the rain if I pay [Music] [Applause] you should get some live music out here you [Music] know not different this course looked 20 years ago was it a little more natural yeah there’s more trees around you know there’s a lot more trees on this Ed right [Music] here nice shot just stayed straight thought that was going to curl in there oh [Music] go [Music] yeah nice cut [Music] nice shot on the number Fairway runs out at 253 it’s a good [Music] play money [Applause] [Music] hey dude incredible good stuff meet you you too thanks enjoyed Lu to you great to meet you take care du well done cooked fried battered baked clammed poached boiled brazed what are other ways of being cooked what did I miss I am done see you soon see great playing dude seriously great Birdie on 18 right I’ll see you guys later on until next time I think it might be time for lunch I mean hell we got here at like 5:00 a.m. go like a pro all right last time exiting the PGA of Valhalla here obviously we didn’t make the cut but uh we learned a lot I learned probably the most you know we know know that these guys are good they’re Pros you know we know that they’re playing a different game they do it for themselves but they do it for everyone who’s watching you know and that’s kind of one of the coolest parts of golf right is like you know we can relate to the feeling of hitting a good shot of hitting a bad shot and and part of that is what makes the game of golf itself so special and why we become obsessed with tournaments and courses and players you know I think one of the coolest things of the week that I got to experience was um f fans of all ages calling out Rich’s name let’s go beam let’s go Beamer you know and this is um a major Champion you know one of the champions of this game just truly what an honor to uh to walk with him not quite in his footsteps but next to him and you know share the umbrella for a bit I mean I will never ever forget this experience if you couldn’t tell this video is brought to by National Car Rental super grateful to them and the PGA for making this possible it’s not just a small kind of thing as you can imagine there’s a lot of Hoops to jump through to you know even just be able to do this much less film it so um yeah and thank you for watching hope you enjoyed it and uh for all the caddies out there man double salute it was much harder than I expected and it was also much more gratifying than I expected see you next time if there is a next time which I don’t know I would do it I would do it I’ve already thought about it like I’ll get back on the bag again sometime somewhere I don’t know when I don’t know where but I’m sure it’ll happen at some point again in my life

I thought using rangefinder’s was illegal Thursday thru Sunday?🙏
Should’ve pulled out all the Baggar Vance quotes.
When the caddy is currently more famous than the golfer
Was this team RGC shooting?
Just a great video. EAL is a treasure to have in the YouTube space for golf. He knows how to tell the story
Easily in the Top 10 golf videos on the platform
Love the pga championship but pga needs to be done with Louisville
What an amazing experience…not only for you Erik, but for us as viewers !!!
“106th Annual PGA Championship”
Did you edit the expression when you told Rich…"What would Blaine (McCallister) do here?" LOL
That would have been golden.
This is one of your most epic adventures to watch! Congrats & Great editing.
Eric is the best.. what a way to end my night. Thank you
Best show to date!
I've been inside the ropes a few times before. It's amazing how the view can change by which side of the nylon you're on…
Great vid. Great job EAL. Way to go 'Sling'

we are in this incredible golden age of content. so happy and proud to be a member of Random Golf Club.
I caddie for my club's number 3-4 in pennant and get stressed so that would be terrifying
Erik is a what you see is what you get guy. Went to one of the scramble stops. He's talking with everyone, always makes time to chat if you approach him. Honestly one of the nicest people I've met.
When your caddy is this awesome , it makes the game so much easier and enjoyable and that’s what it is all about
PGA needs much more of this. We all want golf to grow and one of the ways is through content like this. EAL is one of the best and it was great seeing him out there filming in his style. Please PGA allow others to post PGA tournament content like the NBA does. It will strengthen the following. Grow the game is the most important thing.
Loved this !!
lol first time caddy and it’s for the PGA Championship
Rich is a really great guy
3:14 Mac Boucher?
Listen to the pod !
Erik is stirring up the game and I am here for it!!
PGA should be an international major. Compared to the other 3 it’s just another pga tour event at the moment.
What a amazing experience.
The funniest part of them featuring this is that Rich beem finished DFL. dead *** last
Did they highlight that? Doubt it.
Let’s Go RGC FAM!!
You met Fluff and Pugh? Epic.
Siered
ACE cam was live for Erik's group
