at City Field in New York as the Mets open a 10-game home stand with the first of three against the San Francisco Giants you can see Scott’s numbers on the season three starts ER over four more hits than Innings pitch but a nice ratio between his walks and his strikeouts pulls one down to First nice play by Alonzo as he goes down gets up and finds Scott for the second out nice play by Pete and you always want that long hop there or the short hop and Pete got a long hop and nice done Pete and there were two men away hit off the end of the bat a spinner for Alonzo and from his knees he gets the out at first to retire Estrada and that finishes off a six pitch opening inning for Christian Scott with some help from Pete it’s the young left-hander Kyle Harrison coming off for his 11th start of the Season you see the numbers pretty darn good L had doubles in each of his last two at bats in Cleveland one down the right field line one to left Center and that’s lined down the left field line by Lindor and he’s got his third straight extra base hit and Lindor pulls it second base with a lead off double excellent signs for the Mets Lindor with doubles in each of his last three at B oh the Mets with a chance with the runner in scoring position right off the bat for Pete Alonzo Pete rifles wanted the right field for a base hit Lor to third he’ll be waved around yusty will throw it into the cutof man and Alonzo two batters in as given the met a one- nothing lead he’s now hit in nine straight games that’s his 25th RBI of the year and the Mets have a one to nothing for first inning lead Mets one Giants nothing here in the second inning two down here is Jorge Solair lot of games in this park for Jorge Solair over the years he drives that one out to center field Bader going back still going back he leaps and it’s gone so air took on one of the biggest parts of City Field and he beat it his sixth home run of the Year and that ties the game one to one and goodbye a home run horge Sol hang it he bangs it and he stares at it B heck of an effort I’ll give him that that guy could play some center field Marco’s been consistently giving good at bats since the Giants called him up Luciano to right field kind of off the end of the bat that’s going to work it gets down it’s a thing of beauty in fact and a stumble the ball gets by Mar Luciano still running Marte balloons one back in and Luciano ends up at third off the bat I don’t think he was thinking triple it’s not the first time in recent days that Marte has had trouble containing the damage on a ball that falls in so now Luis MOS chance to get another run batted in bouncer to short that’s going to get the run home Lindor will throw him out but montos picks it up a run batted in and it’s 2-1 Giants here in the third two down and here is Brandon nmo oh no Nemo got hit High you have to have him sit down no no he is he’s a little staggered no he’s he’s staggered that was scary it looked for a minute like his knees were about to fuckle and then he Sprints down to first base he has put his helmet on him run down to first he made his case to Joe goolia well enough to stay in the game Nemo runs pitch taken outside Bailey throw down to Second Nemo slides in head first safe so Nemo I guess he’s fine he has just stolen second base Nemo just got hit in the helmet and now Nemo is the tying run and scoring position that one to Center Matos has room out there out number three one base runner no runs Up and Away Ball Four Vios has a lead off walk the first two hitters he faced got hits against him those have been the only hits so far there’s a Fly ball that may fall little along the right field line for Marte and it does for a base hit the inos run it well he goes to Third and Marte will wind up at second so Marte was unable to handle a blue pit down the line that led to the Giants goahead run now delivers a blue pit of his own an error on yky allowing Marte to go to Second that’s a second and third and nobody out and they bring the infield in for mcneel now mcneel lines one base hit in the center field the OS scores Mar have to hold up to see if it would be caught he’ll pull it a third the men’s tied on Jeff mcneel’s RBI single it’s two to2 well good two strike hitting right there from Jeff starting to heat up like the his old self so now Neato who struck out his first time up and Neato clocks one to left coming on to get it is Ramos taging a third Marte Ramos is thrown to the plate will be cut off and the Mets Take the Lead domas needo coming through with two strikes and lining a sacrific fly and the Mets leaded three to two but is hit well deep left Center maos leops he’s got it hits the wall hits the ground and comes up still holding that baseball pretty nice go get it young fella monos back at the wall leaps makes the catch slams into the wall pops up what a play by Luis montos JD Martinez is struck out flight out and he Rockets one the Deep left forget that that is way out of here into the second deck JD Martinez with an enormous home run his third of the year and it’s 4-2 New York that sounded like a cat he smok a 424 ft Homer the mixer leading by a score of 4-2 so for Kyle Harrison the struggles tonight continue Vientos smacks one out to Right Center back in the Gap goes mtos near the wall it’s out of here Mark bentos goes back to back after Martinez and it’s 5-2 New York first time this year the Mets have hit back-to- back home runs and it’s JD Martinez and Mark bentos two guys who weren’t on the roster on opening day third home run of the year for biento little early call for the trumpets tonight as Edwin Diaz has made his way to the mound for his first outing since Saturday in Miami when he let a 4-1 ninth inning lead get away struck him out got him with the slider so Diaz out of the shoot with a strike out one down in the seven and then this slider look more like 2022 vintage now he’s in scoring position Giants down 5 to2 struck him out High fast ball at 99 Diaz fans two and a scoreless inning boy did he need that here’s Pete Alonzo who singled in three trips 52 net and Pete cranks one to deep left field Ramos to the wall and it’s out of here number 12 from pet lone the Mets third home run of the night the third straight game the Mets have it three home runs Mar Martinez Vientos and now Alonzo and the Met lead is now 62 on the high Majestic home run out to left the last three appearances for Reed stuff’s been there but he’s been behind hitters which is the opposite of how he’s been early in the season so two soft hits in a row against Reed Garrett first the ball off the end of the backat from mky that hit the bag and now a little bloop that falls between mcneel and Marte on the ground to first base Alonzo goes to Second and the runner doesn’t SL oh and they get the out Luciano did not slide I mean Luciano I guess he assumed Alonzo was going to take the out at first but you got to you got to slide there it cost him a runner in scoring position now here’s Tyro Estrada two down Tyro out toward the Gap in right center field that’s a hit it’s going to go to the wall Wade coming around to Third and he’ll get the stop sign there so it’s only one run on the double by Tyro Estrada But Here Come the Giants it’s 6 to3 it’s Ball Four the bases are loaded and you just wonder whether Garrett’s going to stay in this game looks like they’re sticking with Garrett two out walks will haunt Patrick Bailey one for three tonight Bailey drives one to deep right field it is gone a grand slam and the Giants are doing it again tonight 7- six and he just absolutely obliterated it it’s hard to believe but lightning strikes again the Giants have scored five runs here me to let a three-run lead get away Wednesday in Cleveland they’ve let a four-run lead get away in this game Forge Lopez on the pitch theight now here’s yky he got that five run eighth inning rally started yes it’s a high drive right field Marte watches gone into the upper deck adio P Upper Deck in right field for yky 8 to6 Giants chance for his ninth save of the year and on the big stage in New York camoo pinch hitter DJ Stewart Stewart flies one out to right YY gets some ground back near the wall he can’t get it it’s off the wall Stewart heads to Second and he’s in standing with a leadoff pitch at Double and the MS have life in the ninth on the ground Tyro diving stop and a pi by way got him at first oh my goodness what a play on both ends after Tyro diving grab got the ball initially then lamad had to dive over with a third base goes Stewart well now it’s Lindor the tying run pulls one to right field and that’s going to be right to the wall and off the fence Stewart is in Lindor will hold it first base it’s now 8 to7 and the Mets of the tying one ofo with one out goal looks very hitable here in the ninth inning walk nmo intentionally set up the double play with JD Martinez coming up struck Him Out Swinging 102 with the cutter two down oh big spot big pitch so it’s left in the hands of bentos Bases Loaded two down last of the night a little slow roller Chapman bear head got him what a play oh look at him Chapman a walkoff defensive play by Chapman that is of all the great plays he’s made that might be the greatest that’s as good a play to end a game as you could ever has oh my

@MLB Tell Chunky I asked “little blow Pete?”
Chapman is a straight up axe murderer
🌉🧡🖤
Wow what a game. Been looking for these highlights since yesterday. I was only able to watch bits and pieces. Soler power. Bailey slam. Estrada and Chappy with the D. Oh boy.
METS GONNA MET!!!!
Bailey owns the Mets
Leave it to the Mets to blow yet another lead. What better way than a grand slam 🥲
The Mark Twain of baseball, Jon Miller 💪🏽💕
Wow. What a game
Hubieran dejado a Díaz pichando
Bad and or mediocre teams will always find a way to lose.
Exhibit A: Your 2024 New York Mets
The camera man who got the shot at 8:00 of the kid needs a raise.
Giants come from behind again! This team has chemistry and fight in them. Go Giants!
STAY WITH IT GIANTS ! ! !
WONDERFUL SAN FRAN ! !
get starling marte off the team
woohoo great game!!! lets freakin go babY!!!
Another miss managed game by Melvin, Luciano at short in the 8th and 9th with a 1 run lead is a lapse in judgement. Unfortunately, Luciano has the yips at 22
What a game for both teams. Nice Giants win, keep it going
Sorry everyone, Luciano, at 22, has the yips and it is not correctable, he is a right fielder or DH.
You love to see it ! 🎊🍻👍
4:30 …and Jung Who Lee is out for the season after not making the play.. so frustrating the Giants had this kid all along but they pay $19./yr to a slap hitter from KBA that is tough as a champagne glass. MLB ate Lee up and spit him out… 8 RBI 2SB 3CS lol
Incredibly lucky.
Lol mets
Giants are a very fun team to watch. I rarely see anything but tremendous effort from the players and have a young roster that looks promising.
Bad vs worse
I'm glad that Jung-hoon got out of the game. Thanks to that, Matos was able to wake up.
The only successful Koreans are Veggie Hwan and Kim Ha-sung.Especially Jeonghoon is not at a major level.
Having four more years left on his contract is only a negative for the team.
The Mets made a perfect management mistake in this game. Why Diaz in the 7th inning?
As a result, Garrett was hit and we lost.I'm sure Diaz won't be satisfied either. The rift with the team has widened.
Best game I've watched
Giants are starting to cook something special!
9:51 – chapman had to one-hop his throw. if he made the throw in the air, it would have been slower and the runner would have been safe.
