right Golf Shop onliners you’re looking for a new golf bag and there’s so many to choose from let’s do a bit of a buying guide when it comes to golf bag we’re going to start with size so size is an interesting one we can start up here with tall bag size like these things are just ginormous huge they look the part they look fantastic they’ve got all the bows and whistles in design and branding but you’re going to put that on the trolly or hopefully you’ve got a caddy then we come down to like a cart bag so this is light dedicated cart bag other manufacturers make all these versions of golf bag but you’re not going to carry that you get Best of Both Worlds this is the motor caddy this is a stand bag so it has a stand on it these two don’t have stands on it they’re built to go on trolley this goes on a trolley cuz it folds away and it’s light enough to be a carry bag as well lighter and then coming down to the huo here which from ping really light Good carry bag down to the Callaway which is super light and slightly smaller so for me evening golf walking around you want something light and easy I’m down at this size all day long if I’m going to actually compete a little bit and I want to carry so I have to take a few waterproofs just in case I would go more for the fulls size carry something like the Ping Huffer you get really good committed double straps on the carry bags if you’re a bit of a trolley and carry person this one ticks the box or if you’re only a trolley person you’re going to be here and if you’re a trolley person who wants to look like the golf is on the T you’re going to be up there second Point waterproofing when you get waterproof bags you tend to get this heat sealed zip so the water doesn’t get in there so as waterproof as a golf bag can be bearing in mind it’s got a huge hole in the top so something like the Ping here you’re going to see regular um zippers here so it’s going to be water resistant but it’s not going to be waterproof stuff water will get into those Pockets so this one from the stage ey this is a cart bag so it doesn’t matter what size now when it comes to waterproofing they’ve all offer a version of waterproof or not again the heat sealed Zips keeping that water out of every part so if that’s important to you that’s something for you to look out for matching to a brand like look at that if you want to be the tailor made king or queen you’re going to match to your brand with something like that maybe you’re a titless fan so you want your titless bag so that is something we see from golfers they do they have a brand they align with they like they might use their clubs their equipment and then they do want to match the bag in that isn’t always the best way cuz sometimes some manufacturers put more effort into the bag that you want than others but it’s certainly one reason we see people buying their desired golf bag the systems at the top so 14 way divide this is a 14 way individually divided bag so every section is its own that is something that’s really important for some golfers something like the Ping hoofer here it’s also divided or this top one this one isn’t divided this way but it’s divided this way and this way so meaning I can put my hand down here and I can’t get into this compartment this one to these two are divided and these two are divided so nearly all divided but obviously you’re can to have two or three clubs in each section sometimes you pull one out they cross at the bottom two come out that winds some people up I’m not too bothered with that but 14 way divided and maybe 14 way individually divided is something that you might want just bear in mind if you do that that sometimes does put the weight up so I put that much more up into the trolley bracket personally then something like the motor caddy bag here is very unique it’s light it fits on the electric motor caddies with its little slot here at the bottom this really locks away so you can get it it’s designed to go on a trolley and be carry cuz you do get really nice thick double strap so if you want a bit of both uh Best of Both Worlds something like that will offer it and then we move down into the stand bags if it’s the stand bags lightweight bags that you’re after you are going to get great padded comfortable double straps on these bags they’re going to be super light and easy to carry so it would be things like the weight I would be looking for pocket space you know do they have enough Pockets or not sometimes I have a bag that has hardly any pockets and I use it in the summer I love it because it doesn’t allow me to fill it with some of the Guff that we take out on the golf course sometimes for a summer’s evening so thinking about weight is important if that is really killer for you you’re going to go down all that line you can go much lighter in the cart bags as well something also to look out for so if you’re not very good at getting it in and out of the car like golf bags can be heavy going for a lighter cart bag is all something we would advise to look for as well that’s my buying guide pick your bag they are at your will which one you going for
