we’ got an action-packed weekend uh of boxing coming your way and I tell you what it’s happening on British soil kits that’s right how uh one big eventers yeah yeah well that a proper fight that people are asked about that people are excited about is actually taking place in on British soil and I know for a fact lead leads leads I know for the fact that both of these guys and the teams were in conversations about the possibility of maybe this going to Saudi Arabia because maybe there was a few more quid out there um but I’m told having spoken to both Fighters that they were adamant that it has to happen in front of British fight fans because it is a rematch that took place in front of British fight fans the first time around of which we attended in Glasgow and it’s got a massive storyline connected to it I’m just absolutely gutted for at least one of these people one’s already achieved it and his legacy’s assured but for at least one of these people that there’s no uh World Championship status connected to it uh I’m gutted for [Music] him but as a fight listen it needed to happen didn’t it it did need to happen H and listen people who watch us and listen to us all the time no mate we ain’t got no problem with Saudi Arabia at all Uncle Tey is a fight disciple but you’re right this fight went down in Glasgow two years three months ago we were there we were ringside we were Gob smacked like the rest of the Arena when the scor cards were out incidentally those scorecards had [ __ ] all to do with Josh Taylor and he’s had he’s suffered from that Injustice I would say as much as Jack catell I Know Jack has become the king of the who needs him Club because of what he did in Glasgow but Josh Taylor was the [ __ ] man let’s be honest right now Josh going into that fight we were like we’ve got kid here from Scotland never dodged a fight in his life well titled into 15 fights un IED three fights later the best fighter in Britain on the pound-for-pound list he’s [ __ ] mustard the kid from Manchester better know what he’s doing because Josh Taylor is the man and because of what happened because of those scorecards because of the way that Josh rightly or wrongly was advised to you know put on a put on a tin a tin hat and try and work his way through it it became a complete another [ __ ] show for him and it went absolutely it went too far of course it did no one should be contacting anyone personal life family members all that [ __ ] that is ridiculous AB bant but what Josh should have done is read the room in that moment and when hey I’m Josh Taylor I [ __ ] unified these belts the hard way I’ve never dodged a fight in me life you reckon this kid beat me right I don’t care what you do with your belts bring him back to me now bring that fight back to me now and because that didn’t happen for whatever political reason because they were forced to go in different directions well you know the political reason of course but that’s that is why Josh his career suffered as much maybe even more than Jack catall because of those two judges scorecards finally this weekend both these guys get to do what they do best throw fists at each other and hopefully we get a clear winner no controversy and that’s the end of it then whether it’s Josh or it’s Jack they just need to both of them desperately for their own sanity as well as their legacies need to just put this this rivalry to bed yeah you’re right listen I I need to do a deep dive in that first fight right because people will have forgotten everything that’s happened and then if you just listen to this podcast as to where it’s going to go you’ll think that there’s been a gear change for absolutely no reason whatsoever let me give you everything so we all know the fight the fight plays out and I score it 93 in favor of Jack catell right I think it’s quite obvious that Jack catell wins that fight it doesn’t go that way Josh Taylor Wins that fight on the cards you’re right in what you’ve just said there those cards are absolutely nothing to do with Josh Taylor I’m going to come back to him in a minute we on fight disciples then do a deep dive into that fight because it was ridiculous nobody on the planet saw that fight the way that those judges saw that fight judges two of those judges saw that fight so let’s find out as to how we end up getting to this situation first and foremost top rank of the promoter they were doing a co-promote if you remember with Ben Shalom and boxer for that particular event first time ever that four belts Undisputed championship between two British Fighters were taking place on British soil absolutely gigantic you would think that if you were going to make a poster or print a ticket both of those Fighters names would have been on the ticket they weren’t it was build as the Josh Taylor homecoming give it even though Jack catro was the man Challenger with the WBO his name should have been on the ticket it wasn’t why was that top rank still haven’t answered that question for me they were billing it Josh Taylor Josh Taylor Josh Taylor homecoming just beating Jose Ramirez here we go pumping it down everybody’s throat then let’s get to the judging situation this fight was sanctioned by the WBO because Jack was the mandatory Challenger right yeah now the WBO this is facts I’ve got the I’ve got all the I’ve got it the WBO wrote to the British boxing Board of control and stated that Victor Lan and Ian John Lewis were not qualified enough to referee or judge should I say a fight sanctioned by the WBO they haven’t gone through the correct training process with the WBO please can we reconsider those two people as judges this is fact that happened the British boxing Board of control ignored it why why did they ignore it they still haven’t answered that question for me so Ian John Lewis and Victor Lan are sat ringside judging that fight the two judges by the way scored it in favor of Josh Taylor right correct and in the aftermath Ian John Lewis was stepped down and hasn’t worked for the British boxing border control since now here’s another little piece on top of that top rank did a deal with the WBO for a vacant title fight how can they do that Josh Taylor was the champion and he was fighting Jack catro if Jack catro wins that fight the title’s not vacant the only way that that F title becomes vacant is if Josh Taylor wins and he steps up in weight if you remember that fight weight if you remember that fight week on the Friday the WBO presented Josh tayor with a super belt which gives him the opportunity to go up to the next weight Division and activate a mandatory Clause to F challenge immediately for the championship belt who coincidentally was at the time a top ranked fighter called Terence Crawford remember him now obviously all this did not play out by the way the the title fight that they had agreed with the WBO was Liam parro and guess what a top ranked fighter called Ti Fimo Lopez who ended up fighting for the WBO uh super lightweight belt against Josh Taylor a little bit further down the line so that was all the let’s just say we we used a very strong word in in in in the aftermath of that fight corruption that’s what that’s what we said but when you put all those things together and you end up getting the result that you get questions have to be asked those questions have never been answered as to how we end up get how how all those situations happened now the aftermath of it you’ve just pointed out both of these Fighters first and foremost Jack catell not only does he get stiffed on the cards and loses the opportunity to become the Undisputed Undisputed how many chances do you get an opportunity to fight for an Undisputed championship in the modern day four belts on the line he gets stiff of that opportunity he then gets shat on by every single sanctioning body now fair enough he wasn’t the number one with the ibf the WBA and the WBC so part them to one side right because he’s not their guy but the WBO [ __ ] him he should have it should have been immediate from the WBO to say whoa whoa whoa whoa whoaa who I I ain’t gone I ain’t gone a g a gone I ain’t gone you got to go and do that again that’s what should have happened now I’m not the ibf might have had a different thought process and maybe he’s gone to Josh D minute you’ve got to defend against our champion or the WBA might have done that so therefore some of those belts may have come as they ended up doing didn’t they if you remember because Josh had to throw some of those belts away because of certain mandated situations but the WBA WBO sorry should have been on it straight away and said hang on that has to go again you got to go and fight for our Championship again he’s our number one Challenger and we’re calling it straight away so he he go he goes straight back in there that’s what should have happened but it didn’t happen why because they’d already aged this fight over here aren’t they they’ already agreed this so he gets stiffed I think he ended up going down to number seven or something in the rankings it was absolutely abolutely ridiculous the way that Jack catell was treated in the aftermath of that fight stiff on the cards and then absolutely shafted and cast aside from a Josh Taylor point of view it’s not his fault he didn’t do anything wrong he went in he had a fight the judges judged in his favor and he came out Victorious we all disagree with that I’ve told him to his face me and him have had many different altercations over the last two years conversation wise whether it be private or on the radio in public everybody seen that play out now from a Josh Taylor point of view it was the reaction that’s why people have reacted fanwise this is that’s why people have reacted in the way that they have towards him in the aftermath of this fight because of his personal reaction to it he disagreed and that’s cool you can disagree you can think you’re a fighter man you thought that you won the fight that’s cool but it was the way that he went about disagreeing and then as you’ve just kind of highlighted there Josh Taylor to this point was the [ __ ] man he was the guy he was the one that we were all proud he he was like look at this dude here man he’s fighting postol he’s fighting but mate he’s only had 10 fights what the bloody hell’s this all about and he’s going in there he’s putting on these shs and it was absolutely awesome and he was our Beacon of light he in a in a time when there was loads of [ __ ] and there still is [ __ ] in this game this fell was going fight the best Lads come on bring reg’s PR over here yeah I’m I’m I’ll go at World Boxing Super Series and I’ll batter all these Lads and then I’ll go over to America in covid when me mates can’t come and I’ll go and take on the best guy in Jose rinz and I’ll unify this vision and I’ll become the guy and he did and he did it and he was our guy so the reaction afterwards obviously did not live up to maybe the pedestal that we all put him on all right because that’s what he was at that time so he maybe fell short a touch and that has gone on and it’s bubbled for a period of time and he then did something that I didn’t expect him to do he didn’t listen to that noise and go go [ __ ] it do it again he didn’t do that obviously he went down some of them belts got fragmented because San bodies [ __ ] threw the toys out the pr and asked him to do certain things that he didn’t necessarily want to do and then he went down the path of fighting obviously he ended up losing to T Fimo Lopez didn’t he I understand the tiimo Lopez fight because it was absolutely gigantic but again there’s still narrative with in that were he’s had injuries to deal with fights have been made with Jack fights couldn’t happen because of promoters broadcasters all these things fans and this listen I’m not on the inside of this but perspective outside looking in fans have looked at that and gone Josh is the king of his own castle he could have gone stop this for a second just stop I need to fight him before I move on I just need to just take care of this kid over here let me take care of him and then we can all move on if that happens everybody’s still banging the just ta drum 100% 100% banging it now if he just threw every belt in the bin and said I don’t give a [ __ ] I’ve been UND speed means nothing to me what means more to me is my career and my legacy to the Jack cat all points I was the [ __ ] man everyone in the country said I was the man I felt like the man I walked like the man I talk like the man all the media saying you are the man he was the man the Jack ceral loss which he didn’t suffer he should have read the room as I say he should have looked around and go you know what now man I’ve done that my legacy means more it doesn’t matter I don’t care what you say I don’t care what the promoter says I don’t care what the broadcasters say this game evolves around me you’re all making money off me I’m the star I’m in control I say what’s next whatever it takes bring me Jack catell I’m telling you now Jack catell was in a similar situation either gone I don’t care what any you say I don’t care what the money is I have to go back in with Josh Taylor he’s always kept that narrative going it was Josh that decided Well I’ll actually I’ll go and do this then because that’s always going to be there and that’s the situation we’re in right now’s only happening because Josh Taylor’s got nowhere else to go let’s be honest he’s lost his world title he’s king of needs in club there’s no one up at well towe he’s not that star attraction he once was before because he hasn’t got the four belts this is the only fight left to him that’s why we’re getting it now I think but at the weekend he could become that guy again now 100% just just quickly on that just to wrap that up because I want to get stuck into the fight I’m in a really lucky position as as a uni right and there’s there’ll be people watching this that have now maybe a different opinion on Josh Taylor because of the last couple of years right and don’t get me wrong man it’s not been an easy ride my relationship with Josh Taylor like I said I had him up here and he knew I had him up here and therefore maybe hearing me critiquing him maybe and some others that they they’re the ones that cut a little bit more because it’s like why is he doing it you know what I mean and as I said I was never critiquing him specifically on the moment of the fight I’ve just pointed out all the things that I pointed out connected to the fight that pissed me off and that’s why we went down that road of talking about don’t forget though don’t forget we we took a lot of criticism from the Taylor camp and from in a similar situation the Connor Ben Camp similar noises well why are you making such a big deal about me why are you making a big deal about my fail drug test why are you making such a big deal about my bad scorecards this is boxing it happens all the time the reason we went so big is we were getting a voice also we were both in Glasgow we were both ringside it was the first ever Undisputed title fight on British so face two fighters it couldn’t have been any bigger as far as I’m concerned it was one of the biggest fights I’ve ever attended in the history of British boxing and we were let down in that moment so British boxing I felt like we had to Deep dive on it because I had to know answers I had to know that this sport that I follow that I love that I’ve committed my professional life too isn’t [ __ ] corrupt to the core and that’s why I needed to ask the questions that we needed to ask and we needed to keep going I can’t wait to get the taste of sick out the back of my throat from that night we do it this weekend Conor Ben a similar situation we were at the time saying Conor Ben the most improved fighter in Britain where the [ __ ] did this guy come from he was struggling through domestic level fights five minutes ago now he’s a world title Contender Connor Ben’s amazing and then he pops out and you kind of go oh god what have we done did we not add two plus two to make four Jesus Christ that’s why we went big on that situation and we’ll continue to go big on situations of conserv within fight sports that’s we speak the truth that’s what we do what I was going to say regarding Taylor’s personality over the last two year of course at at the start he was very prickly very fiery we fell out we fell out publicly over that two-year period I think he’s matured I really do I’ve been like I said I’ve been really lucky to have had many conversations and they’ B tety there’ been there’s been a bit of friction in those conversations but my last conversation we my last couple of conversation with him have been very grown up he’s fronting it there’s a lot of Fighters out there that don’t front it that shut people down that ban people from stuff say I’m not talking to him there’s loads of them and I experienced this on a day-by-day basis just because of an opinion or they disagree with something that I’ve said Taylor’s M up man I’m telling you he’s a a different human being than what he was absolutely two to three years ago when all this all all started there’s a very team around him though as well don’t forget and that’s what I want to point out that’s what I want to point out and I’m not dogging any other team members out or any other people that he’s been around or whatever it may be or but he is I the people that he is socializing with do have a very holistic view of life and the way that the mind works and how to just how to operate as a as a as a human and I think he is back to the to the guy pre the first fight he’s absolutely there so with all that being said and done I know that fans will have their own opinion because they’ve not had the experiences that I’ve had Taylor is the person that you thought he was he is that person and we’re here this weekend and I think you’re right it’s because maybe some Avenues have shut down and we can’t go down here and we can’t go down there but that’s why we’re here this weekend we finally [ __ ] put this thing to bed which whichever way shape or form we we we well I hope but we put this thing to bed and I’m really looking forward to it I’ve got a lot of time a lot of respect for both of these guys they’re both top fellas it’s really weird for me to watch them nigle at each other and have a got and because they called it bad blood aren’t they or ha runs deep or whatever it’s bloody C I actually think both of these Lads are get on each other you know what I mean I really do I think they’re both top Lads but it is what it is man frch Groves UK tour in 10 years time yeah after this weekend yeah boxing’s a weir g m I reckon they put it all in there we have it and then whatever happens at the end it’s like fair enough man fair enough do you think whatever happens at the end of this because of the the Deep rooted rivalry like you could have sold this fight out anywhere from Edinburgh all the way down to Bournemouth South Coast anywhere in the this fight sells out yeah do you think if it’s another Point decision I’m not going to use the word controversial cuz please don’t let it be controversial we got a nice clean the right man won ins Saudi last week let’s get let the right man win this weekend but if it’s a close fight I could see it being a close fight I could see it being a split decision either way I could see one guy just Tu it out and just tweaking it just nicking it by a round or two do you think especially if it’s Jack that get his hand raised in a close decision it could set us up for you know and it’s a great fight and it could be a great fight I think it will be you think it could set us up for a third fight even down the line or do you think these two just need to [ __ ] live their lives without each other in the back of the minds um I think they’re I think they’re both at very different stages I know there’s only three years in age between them but they’re at very different stages aren’t they Josh Taylor’s Legacy despite what anybody thinks of him he done man he’s absolutely ticked every single box he’s going to go down in Fort he’s going to be a hall of fam he’s got it he cracked it man he cracked it Undisputed Champion come on yeah so it’s Z and Ken IM and Ken Buchanan are the [ __ ] poster boys SC box you know what I mean so I don’t listen I haven’t asked him where his Ambitions lie what he wants to try and Achieve 140 now looks very different than when the talk of Josh Taylor leaving 140 when when when he was when they were talking about him leaving 140 he he mopped it up there was nothing there for him so 147 seemed a very logical thing now hang on Lopez has just rocked up and he’s rocked up you know these it’s alive again I mean if Ryan Garcia gets his [ __ ] together maybe he’s gonna uh go somewhere else maybe in into a different division but there’s a lot of massive fights if Josh Tel is you know good at the good at the weight fit and all those types of things there’s still a lot of massive fights at 140 so does he want to try and become a champion again here I don’t know so going back to the point of what you’re saying I think no for Jack because I think Jack will still have World title aspirations I think after if he beats Taylor he wants a world title shot doesn’t he that’s what he’s going to want I think from a Taylor point of view if he is beaten by catell then of course I think he would want it back I think he would want to try and get it back and then settle it and let’s have a Trilogy yeah yeah there’s it’s such an interesting fight because I also think about the performances up in Glasgow like we traveled up to Glasgow expecting a great fight because we both massively rated Jack catell and I think Josh Taylor underrated Jack catel just being around that fight week as well in the in the um who did you pick first for the first fight in the shopping center I picked Josh Taylor to win on points for I check yesterday um went up to the and Center Jack was very much like you as you say his face W even on the tickets he was very much like ear he years doing an open workout with mixed in with the under card and then suddenly it was like like get the the trumpets out there comes Josh Taylor it felt like the Josh Taylor homecoming show as you pointed out earlier on and even on the night walk into the arena the energy was really high the Scottish fans were buzzing oh he’s the greatest he’s this he’s that you know and the atmosphere inside the inside the space was was brilliant but then as soon as the bell went and Jack catell started the way he did I thought back to like two days before just having a quiet word backstage with with Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis and they were so [ __ ] confident they were like mate we’ve got don’t worry we’ve got this and I’m like I’ve just I’ve just wrote me preview I said Josh Taylor’s gonna win on points and they were like mate you wait and see we’ve got this and I was like [ __ ] they are so confident where’s that come from okay okay listen I get it they’ve had Jack the entire time you know Charlie loyalty I love it brilliant but on fight nights once we once the fight started I was like oh [ __ ] now while watching the fight and in the aftermath I’m thinking never seen Josh Taylor fight like that was he dead at the weight was it his worst night at the office did he completely undervalue Jack catell was he that bad like was it just the perfect stone for one guy and the waste for the other guy or would Jamie Nigel Travis right did Jack catell do that to the best version of Josh Taylor that’s the narrative I’ve got going into this fight that’s why I’m so divided Jack hatle absolutely had his number in Glasgow absolutely but it’s easy to make excuses for Josh listen we spoke to Josh on the Friday in Glasgow and he was Josh has always been prickly but he was extremely prickly because and he was just like this is the last time I’m ever making this weight it’s killing me I’m only doing it for him because I made him a promise to come back it blah blah blah blah blah and I thought wow You’ll never see him at 140 again but here we are two and a half years later he’s still at 140 so I honestly kind of like Glasgow I’m so fascinated by the first two rounds if Josh Taylor boun dominates Jack catell for the first two rounds I be like oh okay okay right you did completely undervalue his potential but if the fight start in a similar pattern as it does in Glasgow with Jack C his in his stride and Josh Taylor falling short with punches don’t think he’s only had one fight in those two and a half years and he got beat MH I know Jack’s had two fights and he’s had two wins with all due respect lesser opponents to TI Fimo Lopez who you know has the ability to turn up and be the best one of the best fighters on the planet but still that activity that desire Jack colls never ever took his gaze off Josh Taylor Josh Taylor went ah [ __ ] you mate I don’t need you no more going this way oh [ __ ] I’ve lost me belt what do we do now what Do’s nothing right I back to this guy the guy behind you just been staying at the back of your head waiting but that said has Jack catel shown all his cards now has he shown Josh Taylor what he’s capable of will Josh Taylor go right I’ve seen the best of you get ready for leads because you’re gonna see the [ __ ] best of me can’t wait honestly I cannot wait for it and if there’s any question on um on Josh Taylor because he’s attitude in building this I know that you you’ve highlighted it regarding the Avenues maybe shutting down and why we’re here remember he’s the one that demanded 140 for this fight yeah let’s go back to the scene of the crime that’s basically what he said everybody’s talked about it listen he’s struggling with 140 he’s G no no no no we’re going back to 140 that’s where the first one took place I don’t want no excuses 140 so think about it if he did if he be if he beats Jack catell at 143 or 144 everybody goes ah it’s because you catch weighted it man there you go you lost the first one though didn’t you well hang on a minute then let’s go back to 140 that’s what we’ll go and do we’ll go and have it now my qu all my questions about this fight are about Josh all of them in the gaps first and foremost we saw him on the scales in the buildup to the Jack catall first fight right he looked absolutely cooked he even told us mate listen I’m not doing this again this is absolutely smashing The Living Daylights out me as as you’ve just said am in the camp of him completely underestimating him because he’s done PR Gray he’s done Ramirez big names back to back man big unifications over got go I’ve got to go do a mandatory well I promised him and he’s the one that Steeps aside to let me become UND disput yeah [ __ ] it go on then and it and you and maybe got carried away with all the pump and Camy of it’s the Josh Taylor show baby it’s the homecoming whatever is in front of me is irrelevant cuz I’ve smashed post all up here I’ve beaten the baranik of this world I’ve beaten this guy easy work mate I genuinely think he took his foot his eye off the prize even in his training camps because you look at the way that that weight was done and you think [ __ ] me now Jack went out and did his thing and we all agree on this show anyway he won the fight he won the fight comfortably yeah you then look at the Tia Fimo Lopez performance okay so he goes to T Fimo Lopez he knows who T Fimo Lopez is that’s the real deal okay so now we’re in a in a big fight and Tio has this thing as well as I’ve said this on the show on many occasions gets himself up for the big fights the less very similar to Josh may be I don’t know because he drops his level when he’s fighting someone beneath him he’s like right okay but ters knows what Josh Taylor is all about right I’m stepping up and wait this is my chance I’ve just come off the back of my own defeat let’s get at it Tio was great that night but the key thing that I heard in the aftermath of the Taylor when he was speaking to Media was my legs there now I have spoken to him since he had that injured didn’t with his foot were and he’s quite a serious injury that so he couldn’t do the road work he couldn’t get out and he couldn’t do the run in he couldn’t get the the miles into his legs maybe that is the reason for the flat performance against T fale Lopez I am told the injuries held up nice he’s done his Rob work we spoke to members of his gym we know many members in that gym he’s out there man he’s grafting he’s doing it he’s doing his miles and he’s feeling fit he’s feeling healthy I’ve looked at him he looks in [ __ ] good shape he looks in good good shape here’s another little caveat he’s just had that eye thing hasn’t he because this fight was delayed if you remember it was supposed to happen a little earlier on this year it’s just been pushed back because he had a procedure on his eye of which was affecting the way that he was boxing I’m I’m told that it’s all clear and all sorted fingers crossed it is so there’s a couple of little things in there from ta the tayor that F Ramirez does that guy exist if that guy exists he will win this fight I have no I have absolutely no doubt in my mind Josh Taylor has been there done it got the T-shirt he’s still only 33 still okay and the accolades the fights that he’s been in he’s far supersedes anything that uh Jack cat’s currently done in his career 100% I think we’d all agreed with that right but does the dud from literally it’s three years ago to the day yesterday isn’t it that he became that he beat Ramirez does that guy still exist has the were and tur of the operations on the foot the operations on the ey has that just took has it took a beat off him if it’s took a beat off him jack cell’s in this of the weekend absolutely well and truly in it because he’s young he’s fresh he hasn’t got any miles really on the clock he’s not been in any wars or anything like that like Jack like Josh has and he could navigate this fight and he could come out Victorious at the weekend but for me the questions are all with Josh where’s the body where is the body at I know how good you are Tech as a fighter was the body at yeah if you look at Josh in the runup to that Jack CLE fight again just to reiterate he was the [ __ ] man his five opponents in the run-up to that fight four of them were world champions and they had like a combined I wrote this down yester oh yeah it was mad 117 wins zero defeats combined or something like that in that ballp 110 something wins zero defeats as five I think you have to go back yeah you have to go back to his Victor poo win find someone with had the Fan Fair of Josh Taylor he didn’t have the amateur record of Josh Taylor Josh Taylor turned over with Commonwealth Games medal everything else got with the mcwiggins the mcwiggins were an amazing force in in boxing management they matched them up one of the most incredibly match careers you can say that because he won them all at the time we were on this show going do they not like Josh Taylor what the [ __ ] are he matching him with him for this is mental is this kid ever going to have a soft touch as it turned out they mely matched him to get to the position where he was able to go on and completely conquer the world Jack catell could argue mate if IID had those opportunities I’d have done the same thing I just didn’t get him I had to go the hard way with all due respect that someone’s ducking somebody or somebody’s doing that or the other he actually agreed to take on mik schlak I know that that fight’s falling off and he’s taking on Jack Massie now for the European title but it’s still a European title so put that to B for a second jeev Clark’s gonna take care of business because if he keeps taking care of business he will probably meet Isaac chamblin at some point down the line and these two can get it on for maybe some bigger trinkets chev’s the business Ellis Zoro love him I think he’s a lovely lad nice solid fighter but I think the ceiling is that domestic level with all due respect to him and I know that he’s coming off the loss of jop payre and this is a bad barometer because jopay as we saw the weekend against one of the best fighters in the world in m bres is just on a different planet to these kids right and he’s come off the back of a a bad loss there there’s a bit of redemption he wants to get it back he wants to prove that he’s the guy but I think this is a moment where a lot of people go [ __ ] hell who’s that guy and they’re going to be looking at Chev Clark this is it yeah I think they’re the chief support aren’t they to to this fight so hopefully they’re going to get some eyes on it chev’s been one of them that’s just bubbled under it’s weird everybody else is flying up here in this division aren’t they from on the domestic scene and sheev’s just been like this this is the moment where he make I think he makes a statement and he goes right I’m the British champion now let’s go yeah well he made the statement paty Donovan was my one to watch was that last last year you definitely mentioned him yeah he he was my one to watch I think it either last year or this year so that’s that that’s other than the main very special um I think he’s really Founders Founders range now as well four consecutive Knockouts he comes into this fight on the back of he’s get real energy real big Support over in Ireland I think you’re right I think Andy Lee this could be we know Andy’s an exciting young trainer he’s working with some big names of course he’s completely taking around the career of Joe Parker as well as many others but I feel like Paddy Donovan and they’re from the same Hometown this is his real face like this his baby yeah carve this kid out of stone I took him from the amateurs and basically here I am with him now and we’re going to become he’s going to become a superstar and I think he will become a superstar I think he’s showing all the hall marks of somebody can go an awful long way not only can he fight like [ __ ] he looks fantastic he’s got this whole big Community behind him as well if you remember when we talked about Paddy Donovan at the start of the year and I was like he might want to watch you something special blah blah blah you said you said if they can just keep this kid in the gym and away from any distractions he goes along long way and I I’m just going to reiterate that Andy Lee’s just got to keep this kid focused on the bigger piit and if he keep him focused I believe he fights for the world title one day I’m gutted that he’s fighting L Lewis riten in regards to yeah I love Lewis written I’ve got so much time for him I’ve been blessed enough to spend time in Lewis Ron’s house drink T drink tea with him eat biscuits you know play with his kids in his living room just I was up there interviewing him he is an absolute Diamond of a fell him and his dad I only want good things for Lewis riten but unfortunately this is boxing and unfortunately sometimes good guys don’t get what they deserve and eventually the sport will quew you up and spit you out and right now Lewis is in very precarious situation where this is this fight’s not even at 140 bro this is at 147 this is at welterweight this is Lewis coming up again to 147 but o you know at the end of the day Lewis is in a situation where after the loss to all hard of Davis where do you go you go from being the guy in the main event in the posters in Newcastle and Sunderland and promoters coming and going right we’re going to build this show around you Lewis yeah to when you get a certain level of defeat you no longer have that draw power that with all due respect you go right you got two options here either you go down to your call and you fight on an undercard you take on a journeyman and we try and do a slow rebuild somewhere or you go to leads and fight a kid who’s undefeated that’s got loads of noise behind them and by the way it’s the weight division above what you want to do with your career and it’s like a shotgun approach to go [ __ ] it man I’d rather go in with someone quality out of me death a little bit but have the opportunity to completely turn the career around with a big win rather than going away at this stage of his career and trying to rebuild on the road with three or four fight so I understand why Lewis Is Here Yeah but I really think that Paddy Donovan has has been given an opportunity here to as you say get the name on a resume that he at this point in time lacks it’s going to be interesting to see how Lewis has done this Camp then if it’s at 147 because if you you see this and then L Lawrence revers the type because the bright lights because the fact there cameras everywhere because the Arena’s full of people it’s a safety phas kind of approach to buom no come here then I’ll just hold on to you now so it’s I’m out of danger that you’ve got to coach that out of him that’s going to be really difficult with lwen o Coy but then again that style that works brilliant brilliant fight great bit narrative around it shabbaz massud beat Liam Davis in the amateurs yeah so now that Liam Davis is doing what he’s doing in the Pro game they pitted it up I think it’s a fantastic piece of matchmaking it’s absolutely a fight that I would love to see like I said Liam Davis he is at the moment the most exciting British fighter he’s got a wonderful backstory and he’s just delivering every single time he steps inside the ring so I’m looking forward to that I’m looking forward to heene versus PA’s too because the first one was an absolute belter BR PA brought it didn’t he and he put it on Nathan and Nathan had to answer some serious questions in that fight so I’m glad that they’re running it back very similar narrative the what we said right at maybe not a similar narrative because I thought it was this one’s tighter than Taylor catell but they’re running it back immediately let’s go again um so that’s great to see uh s ders who I’m a big fan of but there on her Queensbury debut uh with malled I’m a big fan of Cameron so I think she comes through that relatively straightforward but then you’ve got Ash Ashlin against Andrew Kane you’ll be a big fan of that they went for each other as well at the Press yesterday like they were [ __ ] having it so there’s already a little bit of fire in there that’s a that’s a that’s going to be a fun fight there you go you wish for Ashley Lanea will say but he’s in good form at the moment so why not man very good form um so as a card obviously like I said I’m always is going to speak very highly of Liam Davis and what he’s doing you know that we love Nathan Heeney on the show and I’m happy with that heavyweight contest between there well try to get a bounceback performance against undefeated aln Cooper they’re good fights they’re all good fights a good card yeah very good um Johnny Fischer against Alan babich okay Johnny Fisher you told me is Ace I really like I really like Johnny Fisher he is one day who knows I think I think there’s a lot of heavyweights decent heavyweights knocking around the UK at the moment who are just starting in their careers and you know because of the the amount of noise he gets and the tickets that he sells um and things you say about him being an absolute Diamond I only want good things for the kid but you know I like this the way they kind of maneuvering him a little bit over here a little bit off the radar because there’s a few about listen listen there’s no doubt that this is a profile fight this is this is a profile one but he is taking a proper route hasn’t he’s just become southern area Champion you love all that stuff yeah his Ambitions are listen I want to you know English British that’s these are the levels that I want to be going through this is a bit of like you said this is a bit of fun I would I would imagine that Johnny’s going to come through this um but he’ll definitely get back on the track of going right let’s I think that’s in about five weeks in uh Arizona that’s where he’s going that for the title for the vacant title two no I don’t I don’t I don’t think the I don’t think they’re ranked high enough I think there’s a couple of lads higher than them but what I’m saying is that then maybe that way Sunny will go right okay then I’ll try go down that route and get yeah and get myself get myself back in
