Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.

The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

hard to believe on greens with this much movement that you could get a straight putt but this is a straight putt go go solid start for mroy though way he spends it he has to send this well past the hole baby hit a nice wedge on his hole this one should come back down and feed towards the hole now a bit well [Applause] controlled oh made it yeah a couple of really nice short wed shots couple down and he does pull off some magic here 99 yds so playing 105 up the hill there was a time where he would have hit the smash 60 I think that’s the gentle 56 right there that he was working on but with and that’s three for three on that shot today Xander is on a heater and now this would be a great par save for Rory and he’s got it yeah they’re uh the Fairway bunkers are quite shallow the greenside bunkers are quite deep so you’d much rather be in the bunker off the Fairway in the r and now from here where you want Miss to be probably in that front bunker would be I guess oh no miss here wow way to make it stop I bet he never played Little League Baseball I bet he didn’t either not much movement in this [Applause] pick up Rory’s third of two now John mcginness that’s pretty darn this would be the sixth birdie they r five a little left rer that should straighten out at the end we’ll stay at five official birdies for hole number two so far to get it close you probably have to cut it which is not his favorite thing to do 15 ft left the hole would be good Curtis yeah a little bit tiny Breeze from left let it feed over but that not a very good shot he’s got about 20t in this putt it goes over a little Ridge it should go a little left right over that Ridge and then straighten out good looking L judged yeah good after an early bogy bogy the first hole 271 front that was on the line wasn’t it yeah just needed the three-wood 66 on Thursday yesterday when the scoring was really good in the afternoon he shot 71 surprise Min putting for a two here at the PA three [Music] little up and down for warry yesterday with the putter but that’s a [Applause] beauty ion play has really started to kick into gear the last couple weeks oh yes that freedom in that swing has returned and another birdie Here Comes meloy trying to have a crack at the 10th remember he made Eagle there on the Sunday that yeah so when you a drive 329 yd you can easily reach this whole M two a little chip across the hill here at 10 now catches the down slow it’s getting better and that little one there will be for four in a row this hole’s called Big Red named after the Secretariat that’s what Mai was last week coring a right N9 under Rory with seven iron at 11 oh and this is looking exceptional is it online Indiana so I said let’s go across the Ohio and well he had no idea what I was talking about for birdie five in a row I’ve got an even better stat for you guys [Music] I like the fairway wood cuz it runs out down that left hand side a double on this hole for a little Redemption here at the 12th whatever you do don’t miss right 185 oh man as he dialed right now with the swing he is on Full goal that couldn’t ask for a better look now very short 13th positional hole six bunkers down the left they all have to be avoided careful he got lucky it’s good now close here just 65 yds to be careful his WT play has got better the last couple of weeks it’s going to get a little better using the back stop 13 now Rory downhill might break to the water which is front and [Music] right thank you guys oh my goodness 14 how’s you find doing Jim meloy oh in the thick stuff only had 180 OD yards in here but this one for par making birdies Trevor a lot of Misses to the right here in the second n for maroy on the greens yes M as we see Lor maroy here at 17 can he do something special to finish the 157 not far away from his fellow Irishman the group ahead he’s around him see if Rory can do the [Applause] same so close and another right Miss course is averaging 69.6 today Trevor it’s not that easy 7600 Y past 71 yeah guys clearly taking advantage of War temperatures not much wind Green’s receptive look at this the third shot for [Music] Rory going up the right side trying to get the kick okay mroy close with the birdie bangs it home well it had so so much promise after the birdie at 10 then he went through a dry spell the next seven holes couple over what’s a wonderful day it’s not what he anticipated the course that he designed back in the 80s let’s go to the second [Music] hole nice high draw in there after 349 yd drive for Rory maroy now can to get something started another Miss to the right unfortunate wow that’s a lot of them the shortest the PA three has played this week maroy I imagine he will go flag hunting from here on in head back to three and sting like a beam I that stings there for maroy struggling to make birdies Rory now Rory just a tidler left here his side’s probably already on Pinehurst yesterday the te’s were up players are trying to drive the green when he finished fourth at the US Open where the open’s headed in June as we go n here’s Rory made birdies at seven and eight this light awkward he’s got the vibe going again okay at nine and maoy for birdie and Rory starting a little charge with three straight sadly bunker at the power five Mery has to lay up some sort of fashion [Applause] try to master every inch out of that actually out of bounds if you go further left than that so now 10 from the left R it’s [Applause] maroy a little bump and run and this is beautiful maybe can muster up something like the nine Halls he played in the back nine last week not this year it was so kind of him in 2014 when he made the eagle here 209 yds today he hit a great shot in here yesterday and he do it again wonderful shot for maroy and after that lovely iron shot maroy for birdie this to get to 11 under this second shot of the Par Four location back right cut just over the Deep bunker man is he flag hunting I tell you Trev he might want to think about trying to drive the 13th when I got out here about half an hour ago r on a great run as of late four birdies in his last six holes [Applause] it’s on a really good line oh no that’s the danger that’s why you just have to hit it left did he learn oh did he have a these guys are that good it will be a five Rory’s pot on 14 for birdie not quite the same angle of the slope hello as Tom Kim and Rory finds the bottom of the cup [Applause] [Applause] at the long 16th 5 120 yards struggled on the short holes it’s pretty good on the big holes he gets to 11 under oh goodness that’s perfect for Rory that could be past all the divots from 232 get up on top oh that’s a good oh oh he’s unlucky that is just an atrocious break oh there was so many expectations there always are though for Rory
