#NHL

for the map beliefs they just they got to avoid the breu somehow right they’re their Toronto’s Kryptonite it’s amazing but such a great series Jim Montgomery after game six singled out David Pono said I got to have more out of pasta and there he was in overtime if you if you believe in karma then you got an example of it today because nobody puts more pressure on them than than a guy like passion are the best players in the game nobody expects more of themselves than they do and then to have the coach come out and say you know we need more from pasta after he’s done it all year and the last few years but not to take it personally but take it like a professional go out there and and he knows that he’s got to do better he’s got to do better for himself he’s got to do better for his teammates but he didn’t mope around he didn’t take it like it was an insult and his ego was bruised because a coach called him out that’s what coaches have to do they have to challenge the players to make them better and he did and he took it like a professional and sure enough that’s why I said if you believe in karma yeah there was a full example of it there it was it was it was a it was Poetic Justice in a way but unfortunately for the for the Leafs you got to give the Leafs a lot of credit too they clawed their way back into the series with a little with a lot of heart and grit and determination so unfortunately someone had to lose PK it’s leadership for me David pono’s a leader I go back to when he first signed his deal with the Boston Bruins everybody thought that he was underpaid and he comes out and says you know what I want to play here in Boston I’m happy with my deal and I’m happy to be here and he was the best player on the team at that point so you know when you do that guys want to see you successful and his pregame interview I mean more deserving I couldn’t be happier for him because of his pregame interview owning everything taking it on taking that pressure on not running from it a lot of young kids are watching they’re going to learn from David past night today Toronto look we got a lot of time to talk about the Bruins because they’re going to second round Florida your boy hampus yeah stepped up huge goal big play on Pastor next I got to give him his flowers too the Maple Leafs could look very different come next season here’s David posto entering the Bruins dressing room look at the boys yeah no better feeling than that that’s not a better feeling than that what a I’ve never seen the inside of that locker room the whole there was a tremendous amount of pressure on B you think about them going down you know going up 3-1 last year and losing and mean that’s yeah good for them this is a big this a big moment for the team and the organization you can see they had Cam Neely down there and lot of pressure on the team to uh to come out of that Series this year and especially going up 3-1 again but uh they found a way that’s all that matters quick turnaround and again the team they lost to last year in the first round is waiting for him now you talk about Karma Florida Panthers Boston Bruins start Monday night here in ESPN brand new series everybody gets to start from scratch so if you didn’t have the best series you get a chance to do it all over again and listen it’s going to be a battle like anything else but I’ll tell you I feel really really bad for the Toronto mapley they played a hell of a series they deserved more hats off to Toronto the city of Toronto all those players [Music] [Music]

  1. Why would I listen to Subban … he's an IDIOT. He's no more than a media whore. He's been a cancer to the NHL since he arrived, so much so that he was forced into "retirement' at the age of 31 because no team would hire him. Yet you guys hire him because you needed a black panelist.

  2. About time pasta stepped up and showed some heart

Effort level was super low for him the whole game til that one shift but whatever goals a goal.

  3. Nylander almost single handedly won this series for the Leafs. He had no help and was out for the first 3 games. Matthews hasn't been injured in past playoff series and never ever contributes. I refuse to give kudos to any of the big players but am tipping my hat to Nylander who absolutely always pulls through in the playoffs.

  4. I always liked messier as a player. He knows more about bigtime games then anyone on screen. Thank God the Bruins won . If they lost two years in a row blowing a series up 3 to 1 . The whole city would be sucidal.

  5. Was at Bruins/Habs game 7, 3OT when Subban scored his goal. Horrible. He is a great sports analyst though haha I like him.

  6. Unbelievable these goofs miss the point of an incredible billiards pass off the boards by Lindholm.

  7. Please.
They were one shot away from devastating the Bruins and moving on to the second round. Everyone would be touting how good they were to come back from 3-1

We saw it in Edmonton after they beat Calgary a few years ago, they used up so much emotional energy beating them they had nothing left for the next round. I think the same will happen to Boston, FLA in 5.

  8. best analysis of this series and final game. Subby and Mess get right to the point with details that every other commentator missed.

  9. Great series. I also appreciate that Messier and Subban asked some thoughtful, "advice-like" questions in the pre-game interview.

  10. The Bruins did many things in this series to help them advance in these playoffs and one not taking too many penalties and minimizing the Toronto PP was definitely one of them

  11. He completely disappeared for two games and now he’s a leader, lol let’s see how they do against Florida 😊without Bergson

  12. Bruins are fortunate. Sway, Pasta amazing game. Coaches…pull your heads out of your arses. Maroon looks like he couldn't make a beer league team. Cannot have this SLOW, NON-COMPETETIVE roster vs. Panthers. Get your best, fastest 23 up, and skate for the cup!!! Go for it!

  13. Toronto actually played very well. Better than most years. I was at game 7 last night. They fought hard. Once bounce and this could have been different.

  14. I feel like with the " Best players ' especially with Canadians I truly believe they have no emotions..nonchalantly losing like it's nothing ehhhh whatever a loss is a loss right? Always next year right? " that's what Austin Mathews reaction is to all this…." Ehhhh there's always next year guys" Yeah keep having that mindset for the next 10 years, Austin you will never win a CupFinal. Young athletes today have no fire in them!!! None! I guarantee Austin Mathews shrugs his shoulders and skates away with a arrogant mindset.

  15. Pastrnak showed that determination heart . He was run over pounded checked .
On that play and goal, he showed he was not going to be denied!!

  16. The maple leafs have to avoid every one in the playoffs
It’s the same story for years
    Wake up guys

  17. Lmao dude was a ghost all 1st round. You were giving panarin crap two playoffs ago for literally the same performance🤣🤣🤣 GTFOH !!!

  18. Watch Sportsnet and they worship the ground the Maple Leafs play on . All about Toronto Maple Leafs . Nevermind there are 6 other NHL teams in Canada .I’m not at all hurt The Leafs lost to Boston again .2 other worthy teams have a chance all be it against each other.

  19. PK, as a Bruins fan I hated you as Canadian, but I luv ya now, your all class!!

  20. Friendly reminder: the last time the Leafs beat the Bruins in the playoffs, Wayne Gretzky wasn't even conceived!

  21. Difference in the series….Swayman and Leafs pitiful power play….1 for 21. If the Leafs had scored on 20%:of the opportunities, series over.

  22. subban changed his mind everytime a team win a game no one liked him in hockey and its obvious why now he has get to be the center of the room the loudest and it was one fn goal he shit on dave for the whole series
