We’ll take a look at Boston Bruins vs Florida Panthers game 5 of the NHL second round playoff series. All that and more for today’s NHL hockey playoffs video
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything quite like the officiating in this Boston Florida series obviously the NHL refused to overturn this goal for goalie interference I laid out in depth how the rule works and why I disagree with that ruling in a prior video and the controversy only continued tonight now I want to be clear I think complaining about officiating is just especially if it’s about your team the laziest thing ever do I get mad some times when watching Rangers games of course I think calls are brutal but to genuinely suggest that the refs are throw to series favoring one team I don’t buy it that being said the officiating has been questionable in the Boston Florida series maybe more than I’ve seen in some time tonight we had Jim Montgomery doing his best diving impression we had and this was just bizarre the play stopped after bosski got hit by a puck like you’re an NHL goalie you’re going to get hit by a puck I don’t remember which game but this happened to the Rangers in the regular season as well went off a goalie’s mask you got to play it like that has to be live there are really really only a few situations where I think the play should be blown dead and that is someone is in like immediate Peril and honestly the issues haven’t just been in the game like I think the department of player safety really blew it by not penalizing Sam Bennett anyway the Big Moment from tonight’s game was shocker another goenda call and watching this unfold live there was really the feeling that based on how this Series has been going the league had to call this one a certain way and to be honest on most angles I actually do agree that this probably isn’t goenda inference but it’s very close I think you can reasonably argue it in either direction I think this angle is probably the best B rovski definitely gets nudged however I guess the test here is was his ability to defend his goal impaired and a goal subsequently scored because of that impairment I think what the NHL would say they saw is that he had the time to reestablish himself and fair enough I think this rule kind of needs a reworking just based on my viewing of it in the rule book over the past few days you can argue that there doesn’t actually again based on the rule and the text as it exists need to be a synchronicity between the actual interference and the puck passing the goal tender but whatever it says if the goalie’s ability to defend his goal is impaired and a goal is scored the goal will be disallowed it does not say the goal has to be scored immediately as he’s impaired but I think that’s probably the intention either way messy messy situation Boston would win this one 2-1 and that would be the gamewinner so let me know your thoughts of course down below

I’ve watched every game and there’s been horrible calls. The Lindholm/Ekman-Larrsson interference, Lauko goalie interference, Lindholm/Tkachuk interference, high stick on Marroon, high stick that “hit” pasta, high stick that hit McAvoy and Wotherspoon at the same time, etc…soo bad. On another note, Heinens skate didn’t come into contact with Bobs pad, and if you want to argue Heinens stick pushed against his pad, that was likely from the defenseman pushing Heinens towards Bob
Why because Boston is losing😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂karma sucks ayh
Bennett ,one player on Florida while Boston has a few like macavoy, the rat,a few more, like they have always been “the dirty team” that always got away with LOTS from the officiating,so I guess it’s tough not to always be able to get away with as much now, during the leafs series, the rat did a lot of low hitting take downs, that are considered a penalty ,but never got one, florida is going to take them out,if things go as they should, once again😄😄😄😄🙏
@1:35 The attacking players stick cleraly interferers with the goalies ability to defend, and the attacking player"s stick was in the crease before the puck was in the crease. Easy no goal.
These refs need to be removed!! How do you make such big phantom calls then miss huge penalties then go to a replay and call a clearly NON goal and crosscheck penalty an allowed the goal. This last game they stopped play to check on the goalie that had nothing wrong and no indication there was anything wrong other than the Bruins swarming the net at the time they stopped play! Sorry, there's something fishy about these refs and the way their calling these last 2 series. Something stinks really bad with this crew!!
Maybe I am old school.
The Blue Paint is where you can not touch a Goalie, IF the Goalie is within the Blue Paint or within the Trapezoid. The Goalie can not be "Touch" by a player, In other words below the Goal line (The Trapezoid) or within the crease.
You can clearly see that the goalie is in the Crease and the opposing Player hits his right pad with his stick forcing him to move to the right, because he is in position for a left side shot. The goal is scored on the Left Side.
Now can we just lick each other and call it DONE?
It’s a crease violation idk what to tell ya
Boston still alive. Though it looks like they're clinging to life for this game, hope they look a little more confident next game. Also finally McAvoy did something, he's looked…. Not great these playoffs
Defenseman makes contacted with Heinen foot prior to all goalie contact. Makes it NOT interference, rules been that way since day 1. Only goaltender rule change I know of is you used to be able to hit a goalie that was handling puck. I still don't know why you can't, don't they have the puck?
It's been a shit show of a series. You just deal with it and try to move on
New rule – stoppage b/c the goalie got hit by the puck means the goalie is "ejected" and cannot come back that game. After all, if it's a "safety issue", then everyone should agree.
His own player knocked the stick out of his hands
well you were on board with jirard too until enough proof made you run for the hills so there is that. congrats on the lack of morals by the way, follows you for life.
as a bruins fan this has been frustrating but i thought i was just being bias toward my team
The NHL has lost controlled of this series? What are you going on about? You are weird.
What?! Are you watching the Canucks – Oilers series? Its the biggest bullshit ever where Oilers gets favoured over and over. They get away with so much shit, and as soon as someone glance at their poster boy its a minor, major or a game suspension.
quick loses his glove and no whistle this is bs
I’m a bruins fan so I’m biased but I don’t think you can trust bobrovskys reactions because he has flopped so much in this series. I wish the nhl would actually stop giving players who flop the benefit of the doubt whenever situations like this arise. I’ve never seen a series this poorly officiated. They’ll ignore a blatant high stick then call a minor hook or interference 100 feet away from the puck. It sucks because it’s taken away so much of the fun and excitement of playoff hockey. I’m more frustrated and mad when watching. And i don’t like this bruins team that much, they aren’t deep or good.
Just this series? The officiating has been terrible across the entire series playoffs!
Hey boston fans 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🖕🖕
Yes the refs are not making the right calls
gg b's :/
