Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.

The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

please welcome from California Xander [Applause] shafley that’ll test the left hand side of the Fairway well you just kind of wonder which way it’s going to wiggle with all the mud yeah up the hill in the beginning then kind of flattens out from there again perfect speed like we saw all day yesterday he just watched two five irons like okay popular spot today this from 35 ft up the hill yeah up the hill up onto this shelf and you have the shoulder coming off that left bunker and the hill to the right May straighten out at the end Curtis how about that pretty good lie step cut a rough 225 to the hole looks like it may be a little short significant amount of mud on the bottom of it good call Billy you can see it kind a bump in [Applause] [Music] it get in the [Applause] and tie the [Applause] lead that’s exactly what it was just right of the flag nicely done yeah another properly played shot and bil remember yesterday he air milled the screen seems certain to win a major but it’s difficult to break through rolling it for the lead at eight just needed a little more muscle yeah may have been backed off by Thomas’s put top Tracer presented by Rolex and Xander smoked right there that was a golf ball you could do anything you wanted with see if it spins back come on back he’s rolled it beautifully all week and there’s another Xander sofle back out in front been 15 birdies here well this is going to have to work hard to get some of the green they got some he okay so that’s a drop shot and his lead is back down to one over morawa 13 Xander on the T yeah it’s right down the center get anything off this short par for that you can put it in the Fairway green trying to get it over that little Ridge fit it back there so mod but turned out okay good call Billy didn’t come back enough Xander same story Tom tras presented by Rolex that’s on a better line much better line oh what a shot brilliant iron fromer sofle that’s disappointing Miss couple of surprising shorter misses hold that yielded just three [Applause] birdies that looks perfect Curtis ideal left edge of the Fairway 15 ft left with a ner very acceptable like that smart play and that one got it perfect Billy that was quick T pick up that’s why and that one got it perfect yeah Billy that was a quick T pickup on the uh leader board he’s plus one for his round today here’s our leader 199 seven iron good shot absolutely miss that one on the low side as well but well that’s going to keep his streak intact he’s hit every Fairway on the back nine and that is right there with JT I mean that is large only 144 yards left but that’s a wedge you can see the flag you can see the Green choffle Oh hits the right lip and would not go down so that’s going to be a par at 17 for shle Fairway and green on this backside looks like you’re going to be able to put another one in that category should be a green light for a that from 226 that was a 500 and may have tried to get too much out of that David oh and he’s not in a good spot at all right on the FR would be awesome right no did look got tell if that stops that’s one peck of a shot it did so we’ll have a birdie part yeah and the only thing missing on the resume is a major and that’s two or three times he’s done that on on this back nine but I think it was a high quality round Scott and David well one of the hardest things to do in golf is to follow up that incredibly low round with something under par something in the same vicinity 6 8 following 62 adds up to 12 under par
