there’s hardly anything that fans hate more than an athlete who sells out you know one who starts playing for money and finds every possible way to capitalize on their skills if fans somehow get even a whiff of you being insincere to the game then their wrath becomes pretty inescapable at least that’s what happened with golfer Cameron Smith who recently faced serious heckling during the St Jude Championship stay tuned as we tell you more about this in today’s video first up let’s take a look at what actually happened it turns out that Smith overestimated the Loyalty of golf fans towards him while he played in the third spherical of the St Jude Championship the Australian golfer unfortunately found himself on the receiving end of some pretty harsh taunts during the championship what did they yell at him you ask well it was just standard stuff straight out of the players going after the money package those included a bunch of sellout and of course the don’t go to LVS um we’ve got some advice for whoever yelled out that last thing buty he’s not even going to listen to you unless you top him off with an offer better than what livv made moving on it seems like Smith has made a lot of people pretty mad and that was expected as the player might soon be leaving PGA Tours to play with livv League it turns out that everyone including the fans and fellow sportsmen are consistently reminding him of how he’s looking to make more money rather than just playing for passion now we totally understand if it was just about the money who doesn’t like to earn more especially when the economy goes haywire and the prices start shooting up what we’re trying to say here is that we get it money is important but then the main question here is why are the players turning a blind eye towards the problematic foundations of livv golfing at least acknowledge the fact that you’re doing this for the money we’re sure that by now you know the entire story behind livv golfing and how it’s contributing to Saudi Arabia’s sportswashing agendas there’s no need to get into all that honestly it’ll be good if players stop justifying all the wrongs the country is committing but maybe that’s too much to ask since that’s what’s keeping their purses full after all anyways there’s one important thing we need to discuss as another big player gets swayed toward livv with heavy bags of green serving as his bait let’s see how the fans have been reacting the overall audience of golf isn’t really a huge fan of livv as the league continues to gather fewer and fewer views the spectators at the tournaments are nothing close to what we usually see at the American tour events and the league also hasn’t been able to get a TV deal with any network now that’s some good news for PGA Tours on top of this if the fans reaction at the St Jude Championship towards Smith is to serve as a barometer then things aren’t looking very good in fact they’re actually looking really bad as the Australian walked by number 14 on the golf course cries of $100 million man sellout and don’t go livv could be heard instead of the usual supporting cheers seems like the drama also has the fans all riled up and now they are picking sides and surprisingly it wasn’t just the fans at the championship okay well maybe this was expected after all that’s been going on it seems like Ryan Palmer wasn’t really satisfied after playing a whole round with Cameron Smith so thought it necessary to swoop in for a final shot during the postgame interview let’s just add this Palmer who happens to be one of the most vocal criticizers of the livv league would make an excellent addition to Regina George’s gang while being fully aware of the fact that Smith was in close proximity he went on and said that’s what I love about what we do out here there’s always somewhere to go and there’s always something to play for and if that wasn’t nearly enough he added we’re not playing for just money it seems like he’s trying to make his colleague see the wrong through some very creative and dare we say slightly Petty means now what can we expect from Cameron in the future with rumors indicating that Smith will be the latest golfer to defect to livv golf series many had their eyes firmly set on Sunday’s tournament to see how he fares this was actually a pretty crucial time for the player livv Golf and the PGA Tour here’s why at the FedEx St Jude Championship the player snagged a pretty high level victory for his country and before last Sunday’s event he was only two shots behind the lead this put him at a pretty good point from where he could win the championship easily and wait for it grab the number one world ranking if he were able to win the tournament yep you heard that right but well unfortunately the poor player ended up having to withdraw from the tournament due to a penalty he faced on Sunday that put him out of the race to number one okay things might not be working out for him right now but his popularity speaks volumes but will livv be able to finalize the deal with him there’s one thing we know for sure Smith’s definitely one of the best golfers out there Nick Johnson the championship’s volunteer standard Bearer pointed out that Cameron Smith managed to get way more cheers from the crowd during the tournament as compared to what players like Jordan spe Matt fit Patrick and Max homot combined so if PGA ends up losing Smith they just might be disastrous because not having any major players is presently one of the main reasons why people don’t really bother tuning in to see livv league but this won’t be the case anymore if they are successful in getting hold of Cam Smith and from the looks of it the more than $100 million offer sitting at Smith’s table is looking pretty good oh well seems like PGA has got their work cut out for them best of luck to the poor tour that’s all we have for Cameron Smith who’s caught between the LV versus PGA drama we can’t wait to see how things turn out for him now let’s catch you up with what else has been going on with livv league first up livv is thinking big and hopes to franchise in the future well we all could do with a smidge of confidence that the livv league seems to have in themselves we don’t know what they did to earn it but well it looks like things are working out for them the league is actually thinking of building franchises this comes after just four tournaments of livv golf it’s good to know that they’ve got their future goals sorted out so what do they actually plan on doing from what we know the league hopes to build 12 teams with franchise values like other sports they believe that this would allow the fans to connect with the sport in a completely different way and that this new idea will definitely resonate with the crowd with the Saudi government investing $2 billion into the sport we’re sure they’ve got enough resources to make this plan come true moving on livv golf aims to increase the total purse and add more events things seem to be buzzing with energy in the world of livv golf the league has certain new additions that it’s hopeful to implement in the next season they’ll be moving on from their eight event plan and instead will be introducing 14 apart from this reports have also surfaced that they plan on almost doubling their purses from the next year so they’ll be increasing their purse from around 225 million to 45 million well at this point we’re seriously considering a career shift to golf Greg Norman CEO of livv golf is hopeful that this would bring about better opportunities for the players and will also manage to bring new energy and excitement to fans around the world and also maximize the Beloved Sports true potential that sounds like a lot of fancy words but we believe that they’re simply going to pay more and hope to get a larger audience finally we’ve got the league trying its best to get a TV deal livv believes that fans are missing out on their one-of-a-kind events as no TV deal has yet been signed with any network yet the COO and president of the company Atul kosla acknowledged that getting a broadcasting deal is actually very important for any healthy Sports League this is something livv golf is still lacking he’s hopeful that the first year of their product would help them work out the Kinks as per the recommendations of the fans after which they’ll be reaching out to networks for a deal we’re not sure how successful this Venture would be as many networks have stated publicly that they’re more comfortable airing PGA Tours events we don’t know if that would be changing anytime soon but who knows because as we all know they do have the money to buy off a network that’s a wrap for this video guys what do you think about this possible move that Smith might make do you think it’s the right call let us know what you think in the comments down below make sure to give this video a thumbs up
