Golf Rules Divots In The Fairway #golfshorts

I’m on The Fairway and my ball is in a divver should I get free relief from this that’s question number one let’s play in the comments let’s hear what you think so should I get relief from that question number two I’m still on The Fairway I’m in a divot that’s been replaced but it’s not really grown back and it’s a bit loose should I get relief from that still in the Fairway question three this is it a divot or not am I just picking and placing now like what’s the rule here like that is a scrape mark I think and then question four I’m now in the rough so the first cut I’m literally less than a yard off the Fairway in a divver am I getting relief from that yes or no let’s play

  1. Nope! Play it how it lays. For 90%of us it will make no matter anyway!
    In my case it’s probably better to be in a divot, that way there is one less hack mark on the course! 🤷‍♂️

  2. Simple rule. If you're on the fairway you can lift and place regardless of the lie (obviously no closer to the hole and within a short distance). There should never be a penalty for being on the fairway, it's a stupid old fashioned rule and should be changed. When I play with friends we always play that rule.

  3. No relief, however for recreational golf move the ball. Nothing to be gained from hitting out of a divot. Why penalize a good drive?

  4. New rules needed on this! If you hit the fairway, you should allways be in a good lie. So in my mind you should not gwt punished. Rough is another story! Play it as you are..

  5. If 1 was yes, someone will always try and call the 2 and 3 a 1. So no to all…. Last thing we need is debates on the course about defining what is and isn’t a divot…
