Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

all right Thomas dri is with us here at the 106 PJ Championship Thomas can you take us through your Eagle there to end your round on a high note yes um it was probably the perfect win out there um on 18 straight down wind didn’t really have to worry about the bunker or the waterite I mean everything was pretty straightforward hit a great drive and then we had the perfect yardage again the wi was pretty much straight down so uh I had a straight shot pushed it a little bit I mean it probably went four or five Paces further right than I wanted to but perfect yardage and um hit a really good putt um read it well with with with my caddy you know we missed a short one 17 I feel like that was a bit of redemption um on that hole that’s great we’ll open up for questions starting with Juan so conditions changing again I mean today especially I would say short game and pting you have to make few adjustments there so how do you process that yeah um yes it was much heavier that’s what I kind of said yesterday you know the rain I think made the the rough much heavier and and um there’s a little bit I tend to have a little bit less spin as well with the IRS when the ball is a bit wet so a few adjustments to do there that was what we did on the Range this morning get used to the yardages um some of the balls were flying actually a little bit further because there’s less pain on the ball um I think that varies from players to players um but it was it was great you know I got off to a good start again today uh part of first part of second a great up and down on three and then bir four which was nice to get into a good rhythm for today up here to Jeff a lot lot of pars today and then you have the big finish uh were you fine with that was it a day you can stay patient yes I missed a lot of greens today and I got a lot of up and downs I think through I think through eight holes I only had 10 putts you know or 11 putts you know I missed a lot of Greens in the right spots I was able to get easy up and downs but it was uh um quite a few Mis greens you know it was a long morning I felt a little bit tired there but um it was nice to be really to stay really patient um trust my game trust my short game which I’ve worked hard on and um and really paid off you know like that eagle on the last was uh like I just said a bit of redemption I was was very happy with it what what was the club you hit in on the last I hit five just it was full five yeah back here to seven what was your process like getting to the golf course today and how did you hear about the delay um yes I heard it was an accident this morning we obviously received an email at 5:30 already I’m very sorry for what happened obviously like we found out later of what happened so it was it was very sad news but um someone picked me up a driver from the tournament picked me up and it was obviously a bit messy there was police everywhere um but we we we managed to to get safely here into the clubhouse and obviously there was a bit of delay so um I you know I just stayed focused Tred to be patient and I knew my tea time was at 9:40 so I just kind of in the zone and doing my own thing over to Mike six Thomas when did you learn about what happened with Scotty um to be really honest I like I just said I was kind of in the zone so I wasn’t really didn’t really have my phone on me I was just doing my own thing so I overheard a few people here and there saying that Scotty got taken or got detained but that’s about it I wasn’t really aware so I haven’t actually looked at my phone since so I’m not really aware of what happened all right
