Contested each May, the PGA Championship is the second major championship in golf’s annual rotation, and perennially features the strongest field in the men’s game based on the Official World Golf Rankings. Known for dramatic finishes and notable champions, the Wanamaker Trophy—which has been awarded to the winner since 1916—is inscribed with names such as Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.

The 2024 PGA Championship is set to take place between 13-19 May at Valhalla Golf Club. The reigning champion is Brooks Koepka.

we’ll jump right into questions starting right here on seven with Dylan tiger how would you characterize your week uh the week was it was a great week being here um being here at uh balla and unfortunately the my scores did not indicate uh how how the the people treated me and uh how great a week I had unfortunately I I hit too many shots and uh yeah I guess specifically your play today what do you think led to too many shots well got off to bad start and um rough grabbed me at two and no sand in the bunker as well and just made a mistake there and I compound the problem there at uh uh at 4 and uh just kept making making mistakes and things you can’t do not just in tournaments but in Majors especially and I just kept making them and uh hung around for most of the day but unfortunately the damage was done early what’s that what’s that like you know when you put yourself so far behind behind early it’s not looking good what what what do you get out of playing hard the rest of the way outside of Pride just keep fighting um keep the pedal on keep fighting keep grinding keep working hard at posting the best score that I can possibly post today that’s all I can do uh it’s going to be a lot but I’m going to fight to the end Mike 14 tiger you said you said you’re getting stronger are you still confident the game will get better it will in in time I just got to I I need to play more and uh unfortunately I just haven’t played a whole lot of tournaments and not a whole lot of tourament on my schedule either so um you know hopefully everything will somehow kind come together in my practice sessions at home and uh be ready for pioner Bob six tiger is it fair to say you’re better physically now than you were a month ago and and also what what what do you build on now like what what do you like that you feel like you can build on to improve for you know say for Pinehurst yeah I I need to clean up my rounds but also know physically yes I am better than I was a month ago uh I I still have more ways to go uh lots of improvement to go physically and hopefully uh my team and I can get that done um pre pineur and going into it wrap right here with Alex on eight tiger you you talked about the desire to win again you you could still win again and yet you’re spend a lot of time on the PJ tour policy board which you obviously spent focus on that as well is there one that’s more important to you than the other no um they’re both equally important me playing and my responsibilities as a player director uh whether it’s on a PO policy board or it’s on the Enterprise board um all three are are important in their own different ways uh different ways that one I for me playing for pride and what I can do out here but also off the golf course the impact and responsibility I have as a player director and as a representative of the players and what I can do off the go course to to help this tour is is the the management part of that second thing has that been a difficult transition in regards to trying to get your game together U well uh if you ask any of the player directors we just won’t sleep much um there’s a lot of late nights and uh Zoom calls at uh odd hours of the night all throughout T night and lots of emails to to read and um these are all things that uh I signed up for as a player director and then and ways that I can help and you know um hopefully I can make that impact and we’ve done that so far and hopefully we can make more of an impact thanks for your time tiger yeah just curious as a guy who’s playing the majors for 30 years and has pretty much seen everything what jica this morning uh un unfortunate that bizar that’s all I can see I can say it was an unfortunate incident and I don’t know what has played out since then but um hopefully everything works out

  1. I don't think it is debatable that Tiger Woods is a Top 5 golfer of all time, and many would argue the best. He has nothing left to prove. The fact that he is still trying to compete in major tournaments is admirable to me. There is something about athletes in his class. They have a hard time calling it a day. MJ did. TB 12 did. And I'm not surprised about Tiger. I like that he's doing things on his terms even if he is having struggles. I still see a flash of brilliance at times, and I love the smile. He is driven by playing golf. That's all.

  2. One has to play much more in order to get better , Tiger doesn’t play enough golf to come close to winning.

  3. he thinks he can just rock up and be be competitive after playing zero tournaments for the last couple of months

  4. Man all of these haters are soo funny. He is Tiger Woods. He has nothing left to prove, he is a billionaire. He is just having fun out there. Dang what a life to live.

  5. Im not really sure what a 'player director' is, but if it detracts from Tiger or any golfer playing their best, let it go. Norman- you really f***ked golf, and I actually liked you as a kid.

  6. He just to cheat more with prostitutes DIRTBAG no moral character. How anybody can cheer for this thing is amazing.

  7. Tiger looks weird without his trademark red shirt, Nike Swoosh, and TW logo. Without them his superpowers are gone.

  8. This guy is definitely a narcissist. He chooses to take a spot in a major, knowing damn well you suck and don’t play, instead of letting a younger, more hungry guy get his chance. He is just a jackass. Either commit to being a pro golfer or keep your ass home, play with your kids and do whatever

  9. I hope Tiger can play one more round like he did in his prime wouldn't it be Kool to see Tiger paired with Scotty Scheffler in the final pairing of a Major Scottie is definitely the best golfer today but 🐅 is the goat

  10. The amount of disrespect in this comment section for one of the best to ever play the game of Golf is insane. Half of the people commenting probably don’t even golf, and the ones that do could never even come close to what Tiger did over the past 30 years. Easy to disrespect a legend when you’re behind your keyboards..

  11. I understand, when you are a Legend in the PGA, a Legend in the World Of Golf, heck a Legend in the World Of Sports, there is only one direction for you to go! However, I'm not betting Tiger Woods will never win another tournament!
