have you checked your shoulder in the mirror recently a lot of you are going to see that that shoulder doesn’t get under the chin enough so I would focus on moving this shoulder under the chin and I mean lower so there space not hitting your face so you have a relationship to the ball let’s watch these knees you’re going to see the change in knee Flex again and I’m storing incredible amounts of power it’s rotational power it’s none of this vertical stuff golf is a circular game it’s like a put WD40 on those hips go to town and then when you look at the top of my back swing the hands are a little bit more inward not so vertical that’s just a byproduct of me keeping my relationship to the ball getting my shoulder moving more under my chin I’m not separating the body and the arms into two separate units like you’ll see some people talk about okay you create the turn you lift the arms you have to combine those two elements forget that I don’t want to rely on timing I want to play guitar

  1. I did this on the range today holy crap crispy crispy shots best range session in a long time

  2. Yes…get that shoulder under the chin…free the knees and hips..
    More guitar…Golf and guitar…killer combo!

  3. Tom, ive been working on your swing change for a year now. I was all over the place last year trying to figure it out. I weakened my grip a little, used to have my bottom (left hand) strong. I have to tell u the little grip adjustment made this work. Had the best range session of my life yesterday, consistently hit draws with my irons and i always used to fade/slice. Next time im in Myrtle im finding u and buying u beer

  4. I mean that’s ONE way to play golf, but Daly plays vertically and doesn’t appear to have any issues. In fact, he’s won tournaments with a vertical swing no? For me, I know full well that this shot you present works for SOME people. But I am stiff and cannot move like this. It would take years of physio to get my back muscles to move this way, so I play vertically. It’s a FAR easier swing for most people to get round a course. We don’t all need to be PGA pros. Some of us just want to consistenly hit the ball and that’s completely fine and enjoy playing with friends.
