it changes um from week to week but I’ve based my whole game kind of around the anti-left the one kind of Swing thought and key that I have to kind of take the left side of golf course off is just turn my body a hair more through impact and swing just a touch more left that’s kind of the overarching one I’d say that I have pretty consistently very simple very connected and around me when I get quick a lot of things go wrong swing and Let It Go sah Gala the Californian 6’3 200 lb he’s creative he’s talented he’s charismatic he has a Magnetic Personality and an impressive game and those have elevated him into the PGA Tour Spotlight High FES about to turn to hugs and tears of joy siah the gala is a winner on the PGA tour his swing is his own and he is really not handcuffed by Theory or Tech in fact he makes the game art he rarely hits the ball straight in fact he’s always shaping shots and varying different trajectories he is all sorts of fun to watch trying to slow things down calm the nerves put this in the Fairway and he’s done just that beautiful t- shot it’s a hit the Gallas t- shot at 12 he’s got to make some birdies here down the stretch keep that ball in the Fairway this is downhill it can run out on that right side it’s going to and he’ll definitely give it a shot in two look at that 38 ft in the air I mean that is such a cool shot playing up the right side little tight draw great drive by S it’s fitting that our footage of sah with a driver has a huge hardwood down the Fairway because as a Young Man learning the game his coach Rick Hunter told me there was the one hole with a huge tree in the middle of the Fairway and seah could not Elevate the ball over the top of the tree so he came back to Coach Rick Hunter and said you’ve got to teach me how to bend the ball they did and this is still his bet siah likes to go to trajectory in fact he Fades the driver and likes to draw the irons so as a result you see the 6’3 man he’s tall and he sets up the ball in a very relaxed manner all he focuses on is body alignment with a fade shot you’ll see the club face move outside of the ball as he starts so it’ll be outside of that yellow line I drew little hip Trigger look the clubs outside the ball the arms raise up he doesn’t have a lot of hip turn it’s more of a slide so look at the old school upright arms look at the slightly laid-off Club over there not a lot of hip turn more shifting he is certainly old school now on the way down watch this idiot syncretic move in his head he turns and look at that eyeline drop back his lower body is unwinding the club is way late way shallow but look at how that eyeline is dropped in behind the golf ball we continue to go from there which will toggle him down and all the way to contact look at where that head’s looking now almost like the one eye is dominant and he’s looking down and at the back of the golf ball from that situation there it does allow him to it upwards and basically to the left of the golf ball and that’s how he creates that fade spin so from there we’ll follow through all the way to the Finish again unencumbered ball up and over that tree fading to the right hand side he is just a joy to watch and so very creative he’s got a lot of talent doesn’t he he kind of does it his own way it’s sort of the self-taught look but it’s absolutely homemade Kurt still in a nice flow really hasn’t broken routine all day today oh this is hammered that was killed that is left and needs to keep cutting there it goes boy he trusted it so much that cut I mean he set it right over the trouble brought it back to the Fairway seah theala is a naturally low ball hitter so when he has to hoist one with a driver you will see him move the ball well outside his lead foot at a dress the key here to bear in mind though is it does not compromise a dress see the arms are in front of the body and that shaft is Lent backwards that’s not a mistake that actually helps to launch this golf ball on the upswing now if you watched most PGA Tour golfers you’ll see bodies rotate sth does it his own way he’s kind of old school watch how his hips will drift to the right going back and then drift to the left going through it’s idiosyncratic but it’s his so we start him away there’s a little trigger in the lower body and as we move to Club parallel do you notice this right leg is straightened look how the hips have drifted to the right hand side the arms are doing fine the face is fairly Square now as we take him to the top from that situation the hips can’t rotate anymore so the arms just lift upwards and in that situation there you see how the low body is off to the right of where the upper body is that’s out of the ordinary so from there he’s going to have to shift Direction where the lower body goes back to the Target and the upper body drifts back in the downswing so watch how he does this lower body triggers but instead of rotating he slides a bit more see how the head drops back slowing the chest down that’s all in an effort to hit the ball a little higher you can see why he learned to bend the ball because that helped him to manipulate the face you can see why he focuses on Tempo because that’s the glue that holds the swing together as we take him to contact now you’re going to see an idiosyncratic position how rounded that lead elbow is look how extended that trail elbow is if we zoom in on his hands he’s done a beautiful job of maintaining a strong Club face by keeping the lead wrist flexed and the trail wrist extended that keeps that face Del lofted but check what’s going on here the eyeline is way back in the bowl it’s almost like he’s looking at the under side of the golf ball and there’s a whole lot happening let’s number them see the feet are well off the ground you got that lead elbow there you got the right elbow well in front of the body you got the ey line back there’s a whole lot of things he has to match up but he does that because he’s creative and he’s not handcuffed by lines or technique he hits shape and as long as he swings to the left of the face of the driver this Ball’s going to fade so watch him on the way through watch the footwork go see the head drop more then he just follows that thing into the follow through he knows the key here and the key is if the face is open to the path that Ball’s going to fade and if it fades with a driver he is in business that was some speed well you talk about freedom in a in a golf swing theala has a ton of freedom in that swing boy he’s taking it up the left hand side and cutting it this is so good it’s unreal there’s nothing defensive about that swing what a drive from fala conservative play from the te here for theala one of 27 rookies on the PGA tour this year and that’s not a rookie shot right there a hit the gala at two under playing well it’s reading about how he’s splashed out oh it’s in splashed out splashed in a hop a spin back in and an eagle at the Par Four here is sah theala with an iron in hand he loves to draw the irons and we’ll see how he does that first off the swing just from a narrower stance he’s focuses alignment he’s not worried about technique as he swings away it’s all good Tempo you’ll see the a little bump in the hips just as the trigger for the golf swing starting him away you see those hips just bump now they slide a little right the arms follow everything swings upwards the upper body redirects and there we are at the top you can see how the upper body is a little left of where the lower body is that’s okay because he matches that up in the downswing the key here is the arms to the side because if the arms are to the side they’re easier to time up up through contact now on the way down you’ll see the hips move left the upper body move a little right the arms will get back in front ey line back just like with a driver that big lag and watch contact nailed look at this here see the Gap there between the left hip and the left arm can you see how that left arm is buckled some yeah it looks kind of crazy doesn’t it but look at how beautiful this club shaft looks look how square that club face is despite the eyeline looking backwards despite the arm split he is presented a perfect Club face to the ball on a perfect launch so you see again it’s not necessarily how you do it it’s how you present the club face to the ball and this man is a shot maker now I mentioned draw so watch how he makes the draw in the follow through we take him about 3/4 of the way through the arms roll over and check that out right there he has the back of his glove hand the left hand looking at the ground he’s got the club face looking at the ground the eyeline is still back looking at where the golf ball was but look at those arms how they’ve turned over each other so much so if I highlight the area you can see a gap there between the forearms now if you had to show that picture to most PGA to players they’d be like I can’t be going there I can’t do that not sah he’s not handcuffed by what he does he plays for what he’s looking to do with the Flight of the golf ball it’s all about shot creation and this was a high draw so watch now as we take him to the follow through you’ll see the feet move the body rotate big wide High follow through that’s another shot drawing towards the flag he does it with consumate ease and he is so entertaining to watch this guy is loaded with personality and he has got plenty of game he’s a super star in the making this guy is for real and to hit the g here at the part three needs something good to happen one over on his round oh is this qualify yes that would be something good that lazy swing he makes with the wedge it’s beautiful to watch oh another Super Shot wow turned it perfectly into the saw theala round of the day going sure you Steph Curry fan theala looked a little like the Warriors guard I feel like it’s worthwhile to have a look at sah theala just go in slow motion here to get a sense for the Rhythm and the timing of this entertaining golf swing as he takes it back see the body moves then waits as he takes it down the body moves then Waits The Island stays back got the the arms sort of respond you can see him swinging the weight of the golf club and he’s creating a shot in this instance it’s a little Fade to create a bit more spin with a wedge so let’s see how he does this bearing in mind with the iron swing we saw him had a draw shot so off the Way to the Top you can see the narrow stance with a wedge sah very easy off the ball the only change you will see is a shorter back swing no need for the full action right so off to the top of the back swing arms out to his side everything fine there now watch the body will drive downward the eyeline will stay back arms extended out in front all good so at contact everything is organized you can see there the left arm still looking like it did in other images but now watch into the follow through watch this area right here the hands the wrists watch how as we toggle back you won’t see the left arm buckle down remember with the drawer there was a whole lot more rotation see that glove wrist stay out in front and if I highlight that area right there remember in the previous video you could see daylight between those forarms remember in the previous video you could see the club face look basically at the ground that’s just neutral there that’s a feeling carving a little fade shot into a right hole location it’s what he does and it’s what he does very well well this is dad at it love the way he just turns through that ball Zing he’s got a lot of green to work with here down on a flat lie and it’s in how about that shot with that clean light should be able to put a little bit of spin on it as he keeps it down just trying to trap it yes it is good to be sah theala how about this one after a birdie at one this was s theala at two from 69 yds check it out that’s an eagle for theala and it moved him into second place just three shots [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] back
