Lucas Glover former US Open Champion as safe to say has um been pretty scathing towards the six player directors and I’ll be honest with you I don’t think I’ve had this point of view until reading this now this whole interview from Lucas Glover comes on the back of Rory maroy not being allowed back on the PJ to policy board and Jimmy Dunn resigning now remember he was one of the influential gents who went behind the scenes to try and get a deal between the PJ tour and live golf and essentially he resigned because everybody was dragging their heels on this so let’s go into this a little further now Lucas Glover what he says in this interview it’s safe to say is aimed at the likes of kley spe Tiger Woods Adam Scott web Simpson and Peter malal these are the six guys who are the player directors who essentially represent the cohort of the PGA tour now the for open Champion is pretty scathing in the amount of power now wielded by the game toop players and he insists that they are in the wrong people to make the decisions for the future of the sport now I think he has a point there do you think he has a point are the players the right people to make the decision for the future of the sport at the end of the day what they see of golf is very skewed towards the very elite level maybe this wouldn’t have been said if Rory and Jimmy Dune didn’t step down and progress was being made so let’s go into his interview this is what he said we golfers have no business having the majority on the players director’s board he said the players play golf businessmen run businesses they don’t tell us how to hit 79s and we shouldn’t be telling them how to run a business now I 100% agree what’s happening as these players are becoming player directors has to take something away from what they’re doing on the golf course are golfers now becoming I guess too much of a global brand thems uh in terms of wanting to be a business rather than just being a sports person who earns money for a living I think that’s the way Sports gone in general but I totally agree with this why have we got players on the board of directors yes the PJ toy is nothing without the players but if you go back 20 30 years ago players had nothing to playing apart from the PJ tour if they wanted to earn the top money now I know that Landscapes change with live golf but my point being surely businessmen business women run businesses that’s my point that’s Lucas Glover’s point and I can start to get involved with that now he doesn’t stop there we are about to launch a huge huge huge Enterprise and a for-profit company that all players are going to own a part of we don’t have the smartest possible people there to help us guide us in the right direction that’s scary again pretty scathing towards those six player directors I’m at the point in my career now where my future and my family’s future hinge on this these decisions that are about to be made so that’s why I’ve decided in the last few months to start speaking up so he feels and maybe he is representing what other people are feeling that play on the PJ tour Maybe these six players aren’t representing the cohort correctly I mean Rory not allowing into play is quite a big thing right and with the fact that we had no progress now Lucas Clover carries on further but the board situation and the way they’re going to reach these decisions now is backwards it’s 100% backwards a lot of my peers and a lot of other players aren’t going to be aren’t going to agree with me but the proof is in the pudding we had an opportunity to get this done and we didn’t get it done and now we’re losing the people that are the most effective and already had it done to be frank Rory Chang his stance and pretty much an influential person and Jimmy Dune pretty much had it done and now he stepped down now I don’t think for one minute Lucas CL originally was on the side of Liv Golf and maybe he never got offered a contract but what he’s saying is we had a chance to get a deal and now we’ve not and this is because we haven’t got the right people running the PJ tour and he says that is scary now what do you think on Lucas Glover’s points we’re on the eve of we’re at the start of another major and yet again we have divide within golf will these viewing figures be down well for sure to keep up to date with all the breaking news like you had with the Masters like you have every single week be sure to subscribe and turn on the Bell

  1. He is 100% correct. Let the experienced business guys run the show and the players play golf. It doesn't matter, people just love watching the tour pro's where ever whenever. PGAT ratings are down let the business people take care of business..

  2. Absolutely love it to be honest. Tiger isn't giving anything back to golf unless there's something in it for him. Hence the holding out for an agreement. The rest of the players on the board probably bow down to him and just go by what he says. You only need to look at the amount of money he has been given from the the SSL fund. Absolutely ridiculous for 1 person hence the revolt from the other PGAT golfers IMHO.

  3. I just want somebody to explain something to me these people that left for live took the money knowing good and well up front they wasn't going to get to play and accepted that that's all good I wasn't making enough money on the PGA tour evidently that they needed three 800 or 400 million to play golf but why is the PGA looking like the bad guys the ones that caused all this mess was going over to the Saudi Arabia League taking their blood money and believe it or not some of their money went to 911 attacks on the United States let's just be truthful right here but regardless just somebody answer the question for me why is it the PGA job to try to bend over backwards to help these people who abandon them to start with we don't owe them nothing they've got more money than God right now and I want to come back over here and play and have their cake and eat it too I am so sick of this I wish they'd just say the deal is off they can stay where they are we'll stay where we're at and let it go with that the PGA players are getting a lot of money now with all the new Signature events the best players in the world are here you have very few over there maybe a handful at best if they went back and practiced hard and just quit playing Country Club golf for 54 holes could maybe make it in the top 50 the rest with starve so this whole thing is killing golf that lives stay where they're at but the PGA stay where it's at it's not our place to fix something that the one that left broke

  4. The PGA divided players in category in order to"reward" them, therefore there should be representative of those categories in a number that that consideration on how many players are in that category. Also Rory should at this point lead a board that represent the European tour and try to bring a new scenario to the table.

  5. Why the PGA pay woods millions when money should be going to the up and coming players, to Woods is just in it for himself and few croney mates, players cannot run multi $ business so why have on board, they just make bad decisions, I rather back LIV as global game than PGA USA based.

  6. The birth of LIV-golf is the end of golf. I am so sorry more people doesn´t se that. We had 3 well working tours that co.excisted very well, when LIV turned up it all died. Thanks to "The shark" and saudi who are convinced that the can buy the world, and sorry enough several players came runing like Gump feeling that it was a good idea to not have to work for the money, just show up. Thats why LIV players falls more and more behind.

  7. Tigger-how much money does he need, PGA has been promoting tigger for decades and that’s wrong for golf. It’s time for tigger to fade.

  8. Does anyone remember the European Tour? It became a victim of the big money in the US.

  9. To be a successful sportsperson, studies have to take a back seat (in most cases, not all). Hence why would anyone allow any professional athlete to get involved in the management and decision making of a billion dollar entity., without any proven credentials or track record. 🤯 #imho

  10. And as a Business, The LIV should of Collapse after Year 2….and is definitely influencing The PGA Player's Thoughts on $$$…why let them in and help them survive
