The Seen & Heard crew was on the ground in Louisville giving behind the scenes at the final practice round.

At Valhalla, they pack into the press tent to hear Rory speak for the first time this week, chase down Tiger to see how the GOAT looks and observe Brooks in full major mode.

[Music] the sun is finally shining here in Louisville Rory is going to speak to us for the first time since winning Brooks Kea The rainning champ is back and looking as terrifying as ever there’s a lot going on and we’ve almost got a golf tournament just 24 hours away how are you doing I’m ready to play this week gentlemen Cheers Cheers Cheers we’ve got Soro the second major in a row uh and the segment tonight that I have decided we are playing is good vibes bad vibes each of us have come up with a good vibe that we have felt from someone something at the course and a bad Vibe Nick we’ll start with you the bad vibes today were from Jordan be in the press conference so we just got to you guys have got to stop saying that like it’s not the case Good Vibes uh Tig here’s goatee it’s got the perfect amount of like salt and pepper vibe to it it’s making him feel confident up on the presser stand he’s cracking jokes he’s having a good time getting some laughs my bad vibes uh we’re in Louisville this week everybody’s talking about bourbon whiskey that’s bad vibes Good Vibes only um all right my good vibe was that um Scotty sheffler is going to allow Ted Scott to ditch out of here on Saturday that was interesting to hear his daughter’s High School graduation i t Teddy’s going home uh Friday night coming back Saturday afternoon backup caddy lined up you know my budd’s just going to carry the bag on Saturday and then Tay will be back for Sunday’s round Scotty’s so confident that he will be around on the weekend that he’s got a buddy like waiting he said yeah Teddy will be back on Sunday like wow okay Scotty your golf is so good you’re just guaranteeing a made cut uh the bad Vibe is kind of a non-existent Vibe but I was thinking about Victor havin today this man was in contention leading for a lot of this tournament a year ago doesn’t have op pressor this year hasn’t finished in the top 10 this year hasn’t finished anything in the top 15 this year I just need proof of life I haven’t seen him on the golf course yet I haven’t seen him on the race such a fixure of this tournament last year too and then went on a run had one of the best back Nines in tour history and then poof I think I will track him down tomorrow at some point ludvig welcome to Valla and your first PJ Championship how’s the week been and what are your impressions of the golf course uh it’s been a little wet so far but uh course is in great shape um I love the Zia I love hitting from that and and obviously it’s a it’s a big boy golf course it’s tough but it’s uh it’s really nice and I look forward to playing it remember that full swing he was like I need to be more like that guy yeah he need so I think if he’s trying to get there you just want to take the normal brim of your hat and add about 18% to it your shirt you want to look like you’re a FedEx delivery driver we’ll see I don’t know what his scrip looks like this week but that’s what he needs Rory a win on Sunday at qua Hollow and of course you won the last major championship played right here at Valla 10 years ago how you feeling coming in this week yeah um you know I feel good this hole is actually a home of the sleaziest shot of Rory mckoy’s career in the 2014 PGA Sunday hits his t-ball into the middle of the Fairway and then rushes through the ball hits it off the heel this little burner like slice cutting thing that had no business being on the green getting close rolls to 10 feet makes Eagle putt punches back at frill and Ricky go can I ask you about Jimmy’s board resignation what you thought about that and what the implications might be in in your mind uh yeah I um honestly I think it’s a huge loss for the PGA Tour if if they’re trying to get this deal done with a piff and trying to unify the game um you know Jimmy was basically the the relationship that the sort of conduit between the PJ tur and and piff and uh you know it’s been really unfort forunate that he hasn’t been involved for the last few months and I think part of the reason that everything is stalling at the minute is because of that so um it is it’s it’s really really disappointing and um you know I think the tour is in a worse place because of it so we’ll see we’ll see where it goes from here and we’ll see what happens but um you know I I would say my my confidence level on something getting done before last week was you know as low as it had been and then you know with this news of Jimmy um resigning and and knowing the relationship he has with the other side and how much warmth there is from the other side um it’s it’s concerning well it’s the biggest story of PGA Championship week and it’s also the one that nobody really wants to speak about right now it is uh Rory mroy who uh announced yesterday that he is filing for divorce um obviously these things are just kind of awkward when you’ve got a public figure who is uh very publicly accessible but is dealing with what is ultimately a super Private Matter he enters this week after being you know one of the presumptive favorites after two straight wins and two straight starts so there’s never been a dull moment in the story of Rory uh particularly now in these last few years and it seems like here at Valhalla that much is uh pretty certain to continue you referen punishment workouts when and Adelaide I think you mentioned it first what how are those different what do you do to yourself in those work I’m not looking for the punishment workout I just get told that it’s uh it sucks it’s not a lot of fun a lot of lot more running um very uptempo No Rest uh Aura uh saaya who basically he kind of oversees my my program with uh heish and Colby and they um you know they talk and they figure it out but I walked in and AA told me that you finished 45th you’re going to get you’re going to get penalized so um I think I had like four or five days in a row just I wanted to I turned white about wanted to throw up in a few of them but um yeah got through it now that uh we’ve gotten through the practice rounds it’s Wednesday evening we’re on the verge of the tournament beginning it kind of stands out to me that Rooks kka it’s very quietly like kind of not really being talked about much this is the guy who won last year the guy who’s got five majors more Majors than Rory more Majors than pretty much anyone that matters in the field Brooks gave a op pressor today and I was just struck by what Brooks is being asked about it’s just the gulf you’ve won this event three times it’s the most successful major for you can you think of a reason why you’ve had success in the PGA Championship no idea man I just like Majors everyone is kind of working their way through something and very quietly the defending Champion is somehow how like got the most narrow most obvious path I think that’s something that we will maybe remember maybe come Saturday night because if he’s doing if he’s doing it again if he somehow contends this week it almost make sense in hindsight like oh yeah that’s right he was coming in off of Victory and like with no bumps in the road he’s like the only guy that has that and I think it makes everybody else jealous all right here at my first major championship and there’s only one person I want to see I want to go big game hunting so today I’m going to hunt down tiger follow him around see if I can learn a few things see if I can see what makes him better than everybody else it’s not bad Tyler looks good swing looks fluid looks like he’s moving to his left side well out here playing with Lucas Glover kind of got the oldtimers Club getting out early getting done for the day early so they can get ready for tomorrow looks good I like his chances to make the [Music] cut so I’m heading out now to talk to Tracy Phillips he’s 61 uh Club Pro out of Tulsa Oklahoma but at one point in his career uh he stopped playing for 20 years yeah so we’re going to head over to the clubhouse and get a little bit more about his story which I think arguably is one of the more unique stories of the of the field here kind of a deeper question but do you think your story inspires like where it’s you had it and then something happened but you stayed with it and it click and you work and here you I mean this where we’re at now yeah you know I hope so what other sport can a person play 61 years old and play in one of the largest events ever imaginable there’s not another sport you can actually do that yeah hopefully there’s there’s uh some some inspiration that some people will get out of it one you can play this game you know if anything it says you can play this game at an at a pretty old age as long as you stay somewhat healthy um it’s a hard game um but it can be fun if you if you you know if you do the right things to to allow it to become fun and um you know the yeah the giving up for 20 years and stuff like that you know probably wouldn’t if anyone had an injur or something like that i’ I’d say don’t wait 20 years uh maybe make it a little bit quicker than that but um you know I I’m very blessed with where I’m at and the situation that uh that the Lord’s put me in it from that aspect so um yeah hopefully the story Inspire somebody to go out there and play and take a lesson from your PGA Pro and and try to have some fun after everything with starting out as a potential star the stopping the return here how would you describe gol very humbling game very hard game um it’s very satisfying game I mean you know I right now our game’s a little bit if you will um in a rough spot uh with where it’s at but you know bottom line is it’s a golf ball it’s a beautiful place that you can go out and enjoy the game no matter where you’re playing um it’s it’s great to meet people um you know just like here I mean the volunteers that come out and and uh leave their job to come out and do you know basically help help this situation out of putting on a major championship um so it’s it’s people getting together having a great time uh it’s um it’s a great sport uh it just um I think we just got to get back to playing the sport I think that makes it official that uh essentially the last person here on property grinding is Victor havland you have an empty driving range it’s 5:30 5:45 p.m. and all you got is Victor havin uh the number seven player in the world but the guy almost won this tournament last year working on driver Swings with his caddy Shay Knight on Wednesday night before the PGA Championship he’s teeing off at like 8:30 tomorrow he’s going to wake up in like 12 hours that’s a sign that you know someone’s searching for it right you are out here on Wednesday night it’s not a good sign but he is so I am very intrigued to see what he’s going to do tomorrow cuz this does not add up to a very good performance regardless of what he does 78 or 68 we will be talking about it tomorrow on seen and H check it out

  1. Just a note. Audio levels are all over the place. I realise these are quick turnaround from multiple sources, like the terribly low audio level press interviews. There are tools to quickly normalise levels in most editing programs.
