I am so excited to be joined by the one and only rosang rosang rosang rosang rosang all I wanted to do was to make the cut rosang is here and she is here to stay it’s very difficult to kind of fathom what happened in those moments just because there was so much in leading up to mizuo I was competing on the Stanford team and we were playing pack 12s regionals playing Nationals at greyhawk I got swarmed with um the media when I announced that I was turning professional and as of the moment it was quite under wraps so when I did announce it I didn’t think it was going to have that big of a effect but it really kind of did just two weeks ago you were winning the NCA championships in your wildest dreams did you ever imagine that you would be standing here an LPGA champion no what is happening I just can’t believe it um it was just last week when I won NCAA with my teammates and um to to turn and uh come out here it’s just been [Music] amazing I was looking through your transcript from that final round and you said the final show shot on 18 the second shot was one of the best shots that I’ve ever hit especially with being under pressure do you still feel that way incredible another brilliant shot from Rose she’ll have that for cie I still feel that way yes to the champion here of the miza America’s open it is ring I remember starting the week and be like Oh Rose is turning pro at our event that’s pretty cool it would be really cool if she made the cut it would be really cool she got top 10 and you know we’re reped by the same agent um and obviously us being Stanford girls um you know was very close with her and you know first round she played well second round she played well I’m like wow this is like really happening like she’s in the lead and come Sunday we like wow this is I can’t believe this is happening um and to Pro turn pro at my event you know I felt you know extremely honored that she chose to do that and then to win it was such a baller move you came out it was your pro debut you had one of the most decorated college careers ever which is insane to think about and then you won can you just reflect on that when you do what what comes to mind because that was that was a crazy week for you I couldn’t be more thankful for the timing I mean it’s not easy to win on tour I mean I was so thankful I got a head start a little bit um because I was potentially just thinking about trying to maintain you know a good couple rounds and a good couple events for my sponsor exemptions and you know if those don’t work out I’ll just play Q school I’ll go back to school like there’s a lot I could do everything through thought everything through and all of a sudden boom lpj tour member why don’t you go ahead and tell us um your exciting news yeah I’m super excited you guys will see me more in the future on the lpj tour as I am taking membership from now on um and I’ll be playing in 2023 what a day Rose is having seven times more than half of the round she’s played she’s been inside the top 10 she’s hit another good iron shot better than good it’s going to give her a chance for biring the lead here [Music] did finish with a birdie and we’re going to be saying that name on Sunday at many major championships to come I’ve had a pretty smooth sailing college career uh an amateur career if you will and sometimes when you’re out here um you forget about those things and um I think being able to learn from just how to stay patient relearn everything that you’ve done building up to where you are now uh it’s something that I’m still kind of navigating and experiencing she’s wise Beyond her years and you know with golf I just told her you know nothing is forever you know your good golf isn’t going to be forever your bad golf isn’t going to be forever you have to ride the waves when they come and take advantage of the moments the more she plays it’s the easier it’s going to get it’s a bit surreal Morgan what we’re seeing here it’s just a story book week for rosang you could not write a script better than this right here I will continue to do what I’m doing I’ll continue to fight I’ll continue to work hard and hopefully everyone can follow along I I don’t want to have any regrets I really just want to keep a growth mindset um when I’m playing well I want to try to strive for better when I’m struggling I want to try to strive for better and um while giving myself some sort of Grace in the midst of that is something that I am wanting to be a little bit more aware of the process is a lot more important and then byproduct you’ll get the results in her first start as a professional she wins the mizuo America’s open [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the
