so we’re back with the challenge of the week and today it is going to be the t150 against the Ping blueprint s remember if you like our videos please hit that subscribe button and tell all your golfing [Music] friends so here we go guys this is one that I’ve been itching to do for a while now you’ve got the t150 which is an absolute power stick it has been been an insane release from tit list that sort of bit between T100 and T200 to fill it with t150 the removal of that that model T 100s and replace it with this as part of their 4 iron makeup has been absolutely insane so many good players have been going into this away from the T100 the feel off of it when we’ve tested it if you go and hit and watch the reviews I did on t150 back when it first came came out it was such a good iron such a surprise of how soft it felt but how powerful that iron was and then earlier this year March Time ping released the blueprint s now we know that ping aren’t necessarily known for how good their forged irons are and they’ve really gone to town with this product it doesn’t just look fantastic when I tested this before it absolutely felt amazing and more importantly it was super super powerful as well so both of these irons a look very good on the rack B feel fantastic when I’ve test them individually but let’s see how they get on when I go head to head so we’re going to jump straight in and we’re going to jump onto the t150 so like I’ve said before when you what titless do incredibly well with all of their irons even when they changed them they’re subtle tweaks they look like a tight list iron I think if you put any tight list iron down over last 20 years you’d sort of get that vibe that it looked like a tight list from the top down it frames it incredibly well um lovely Top Line it’s such a good looking iron this I’m I’m amazed at how many players have gone into this iron straight away and and not really B an eyelid I think it’s even quite often you’ll say take that uh the guy that maybe wanted to play a blade or a forged Club and and sort of get them into this because they want more forgiveness what surprised me with this iron this year is how many players that have typically played T200 have actually gone the other way they’ve gone into something that’s a little bit more of a gamer a little bit more of an iron that you know is a bit softer um certainly going to help so let’s hit a couple of shots and see how we get on it just off the bat it just feels insane pick that one out look 169 carry just Chuck it on the floor what what I felt with this iron before is the control so it didn’t feel like it was going to jump sometimes with these sort of irons there’s potential that they are much more powerful but at the same time you get the odd jumper this just feels so buttery the face super solid you can combo it I’ve seen some guys go with if they didn’t fancy the longer irons in t-150 have banged in the T200 um I’ve seen that happen haven’t seen many go the other way and whacking the t00 don’t think he that type of iron but mainly most players have just gone for the full set of t15s just so good off the face so good so what have we got there in terms of numbers well carry is pretty solid so 172 I always feel like ball speed is up there 125 good ball speed and spin rate for me has always been something that I’ve typically struggled with with the iron now this has given me 6 and 1 half th000 revs which for me is brilliant and one of the things that is super good with this iron and if you watched any of the previous videos especially when I’ve played wild T 100s one of the best videos to put against that is when when we went down to tailor made Lee down there was very very critical of my land angle it was coming in very flat going a long way but very very flat t150 it’s got a land angle there of 53° this thing’s coming down so soft it’s going to stop on the greens but at a really solid controllable distance so overall tiess have created a bit of an animal in this club I think it’s one of those clubs that if I’m I’m hoping over the next few models they’re going to keep in the range because it’s such a good quality Iron simple to fit you know what’s going on the tin but we got to go and have a go and see if it can hack and stand up against the blueprint s now this is an iron where this just really blew my socks off back in March time when I tested it because I’m not a big fan of pin irons in terms of of the players iron um never have been they’ve actually for me they’ve always been two spinning something I’ve always it’s almost the opposite of what I’m normally used to but this has been an iron where it just looks so good from the top I actually from my personal preference having been someone that’s typically played with the mauno wine in the past I think that this is gives a little bit more of a Muno feel or look to it um it’s a little bit leaner um I really really like I really like it I actually I think I’m going to prefer this in terms of look than the t150 which I wasn’t going to say but yeah it really goodes let’s see how the power feels definitely a slightly deader feel off the face I will say um carries the same you’d expect that these irons are going to they aim at the player that can hit it um that want to control and feel rather than uh lots and lots of power how good does that sound like so good off the face similar yardage so very similar numbers so when you get into this this sort of Market of iron what you typically will find is that it’s going to come down to the players look and feel more so than the performance cuz if you’ve got a player that can hit it you know I’m swinging it there at 90 m now I’m not saying I’m the best player in the world by any stretch but I can hit it I’m going to get a similar results from these irons in terms of the carry so distance isn’t going to be the key decision maker for me just feels so good what is going to be the decision maker is potentially what it looks like how consistent it was how it feels off the face how confident I may be feel in the longer irons how I like the look of the eight the wedge I’m a big believer in the what I would call the transition Club the eight iron where you go from a kind of mid to Long iron into the short iron the eight iron if I like the look of an eight iron in a set we’ve run to a winner if the eight iron’s ugly then there’s no chance so if it suits my eye there are going to be big decisions for this type of the player that’s looking at this type of iron it just looks really slick and and kind of classy very good iron very good iron okay let’s hit one more and then just have a look at the numbers yeah super good super good 170 carry let’s have a little look tighter dispersion than the tight list little bit of a deviation there in terms of um long to front uh shortest B shortest flight and longest whereas the tight is very similar in distance just a bit of deviation right to left but you can see there’s a not not a lot in this uh carry distance is effectively the same total distance is the same bull speed okay it’s a little bit quicker off the the the Ping which I wasn’t expecting but overall it’s very similar um very very similar indeed um spin rates are good so they’re two irons that are really really similar land angles are brilliant both so you can see in terms of performance both of these irons really are much of a muchness so this is going to come down to really three maybe four factors for me look feel the custom options cuz if I don’t like if I can’t get what I want in in the options in custom fit that’s going to maybe play a part but also the price so it’s time to give it the AF golf store score so here we go it is time to give it the AF golf store score and we’re going to start with the look so I’m going to start and I’m going to give this straight away to the blueprint S I think it’s a great looking iron for me I love the look of the top line and it’s going to look really sexy in the bag with that bit of satin and chrome so a super good eyon that one for sure in terms of feel well very difficult feel um blueprint was Punchy sounded good um did what it said off the Tim but overall I really like the softness of that t150 iron so I’m going to give it to the t150 so that’s one a piece in terms of custom options well both of these are very very good um I’m going to I’m going to be really mean here um they both give you a huge amount of choice but I’m going to give it to title list only on the basis that we can build it in the build Center and we can add some different shafts that maybe ping can’t offer and not even titless can offer so I’m going to give it to titless that’s 21 to the t150 in terms of price well price is going to be a difficult one um because you’ve got 180 for the tight list and you’ve got the Ping sitting at 190 so the Ping is a little bit more expensive so unfortunately the tit list is going to have to win that one as well so we’re now at 31 the final little judge is the performance we saw it in the numbers there there’s not a hair to split between them they they are so similar in every category so you can’t really say one’s better than the other so unfortunately for performance I’m going to sit and sit on the fence and I’m going to say that it is an absolute draw but that means the battle of the forged irons is going to come out with t150 beating the blueprint s guys thanks for watching the video I hope that is helpful and if you’re that player that was I’m in and R in between these two irons the one thing I would say although t150 come out on top in this occasion for me what I would say is is if you’re going into that market into that players iron sometimes this little baby gets overlooked and please don’t overlook it I think if I was choosing a set of irons today and Money Was No Object and I had the shaft option I think I would be putting
