hello my fellow golf ball addicts welcome to another golf ball review and I know this is the one you’ve really been waiting on so without further Ado let’s just Dive Right In we have the brand new 2024 Vice Pro air let’s dive in all right so the Vice Pro air replaces the Vice Pro soft uh you know the Vice Pro Line is one of the most beloved and direct consumer golf balls in fact actually I I think it’s safe to say that it’s it’s the best I mean it’s the most known it’s the bestselling everyone loves them you can get them at Walmart you can get them at Target uh they’ve really taken over the market well and the first two reviews I’ve done of the brand new 2024 Vice line have been awesome the vice Drive improved a little bit wasn’t outstanding but improved a little bit the vice tour I’m I’m still it almost feels like a fever dream what I got on the numbers if you have not checked that out Vice tour tested phenomenally so be sure to check out that video as well now we move on to the one I know all of you have been waiting on which is the replacement for the pro soft which is the Vice Pro air brand new for 2024 uh as far as you know physical differences there’s not much to it I mean as you can see here uh it still has the same Vice logo this is actually the drip model so it has that drip which is really cool the drip is one of the best designed to golf balls on the market cuz it’s not overpowering it’s just a little bit in there um on the side there as you can see the alignment tool that’s been my main issue with this new Vice line is the alignment tool but as you can see it’s the same on the air other than that it it just looks the same now as far as this scoff ball feels we’ve officially moved into the urethane coating part of it um and it feels really good it feels really premium but what I like about it is there’s two ways a urethane coated golf ball can feel the first one is it can feel kind of slick like they put a lot of coating on it and I mean it feels really slick or they can put a really thin cast urethane on there and sometimes it’ll feel sticky and that’s how this one feels and in my experience I’ve noticed that the sticky kind usually hold greens a little bit better they have a little bit more stopping power so we’ll test that as well um but yeah that’s that’s the golf ball it’s very basic I love vice’s logo they offer this in a variety of different designs uh a couple different drip designs a couple just regular you know pink orange you know just really cool designs there as you can see um so it it’s awesome I love how Vice designs their golf ball it’s always Vice golf balls always get a near-perfect design score um just because of how they are their logo is awesome now let’s talk about the price point of this golf ball real quick now it has gone up a little bit uh you know back a couple years ago Vice was $35 a dozen even in Walmart and that value was absolutely insane it was one of the things that made Vice you know really Corner the market because it was such an amazing price for a year thing golf ball uh however the price soon went up to 37 a dozen and now it’s up to$ 39.99 a dozen so if you just buy one box you go to Walmart you buy one box of this that price is good it’s a good price it’s not a great price by any means because we still have the Snell at $33 a dozen which is uh you know a three-piece urethane golf ball we have quite a few options at this point that are urethane golf balls you know value tour that are in that 35 range you know give or take a few dollars so this is now becoming a little more expensive now what saves Vice what still makes Vice amazing is that if you do order them in bulk you can get them for $32.99 a dozen and if you do that that’s what makes that price incredible again it puts it right in there pretty much with the best of the best it’s going to be an extremely low price it’s going to be hard to beat not too many people can offer a urethane coated golf ball for less than $33 a dozen and so that price actually makes it really well but if you just want to try them out and you have to buy one box that price is just okay it’s not great to be honest with you so with that said let’s get out to the chipping and putting green and let’s see how it does out there I’m super excited about this one oh my goodness yeah talk about that woo okay much better yep really good amount of back up there go a little softer here wow yeah that’s actually going to come short of the hole interesting all right so now we’re going to do really good response there we’re going to do just a couple kind of you know with the shoulders like a putting motion here see if we can kind of get one to knock in wow a lot of checkup I actually M hit that a little bit and it forgave me and it still had a ton oh my goodness so huge amount of spin improvements here so testing the tour testing the drive I was having the golf ball kind of roll off the back of the green a lot I mean as you can tell not the case here this golf ball is checking up it’s it’s insane what that difference does so I got to kind of put a little more on it and the sad part is that one was on its way probably to the hole but it hit the other one but that’s okay let’s do it again I I want want do another round all right let’s let’s do another round of that I really enjoyed that I want to get a couple more really good hits little dff but again you can see the spin I mean a lot less forgiveness here for sure wow can’t even get it to the hole now there we go but boy it felt like I had to put a lot on that to get it there try to get just a good feel here really soft wow really soft so much softer than the t uh it’s almost dead yeah it’s dead coming off the club really good roll though I like the roll a lot it comes off pretty true but man it is a dead feeling golf ball interesting okay so now blade putter now hopefully with the blade putter because this golf Ball’s So Soft maybe it’ll actually have a little bit of feedback so let’s see here yeah that’s what I figured I figured it would have a lot more uh feedback yeah that feels really good actually to be honest with you uh bladed Putters if you have a blade putter this soft is going to feel really Tor likee to you which is good little soft there yeah I mean pretty good forgiveness too all right so the Vice Pro air the replacement for the pro soft around the green how’ we do well uh the first thing I noticed as you heard a minute ago wow a lot more spin a lot more checkup uh you know the the vice was kind of here the toy was kind of here and now we jump because I mean there’s a significant amount of spin that I was getting off these as you could see from a minute ago I was having trouble getting the ball to the hole because it was a learning curve I’m out here testing you know the different balls and before it was way past way past way past and now all of a sudden it’s like short short short short and I’m like trying to make the adjustment that’s a lot of spin difference for sure a lot of you who really like that green side Spin and get it to stop check up this is a really good model for that now as far as the feel as far as the wedges pretty good uh it’s actually just a slightly less firm than the tour I would say it’s close it’s close to the tour has the feedback has the firm press feels good um it’s not as forgiving you know I you saw that one where it shot to the right it just doesn’t forgive you as much because when it has that level of spin there was one where I kind of hit a little behind it and my club opened up shot it right and it spun right it’s going to happen it’s it’s more of a tour line golf ball it’s for guys who don’t M hit the golf balls much if you’re someone who M hits your chips a lot that tour and that that drive line is going to be more better for you this one’s going to be a little bit more advanced now with the putter uh so the difference between the golf balls I’ve previously tested the tour in the drive uh the tour was kind of weird because the Mallet putter felt so good it actually felt buttery and smooth but then the blade was a little heavy well now we flip-flop back the the Mallet feels really dead hardly any feedback really good roll though I mean it comes off really well but boy I’m just I I’m someone who really enjoys having that feedback and having hearing that slight click I don’t want it obnoxious a mallet putter this is just it’s like a bouncy ball basically you don’t really feel a lot Springs off really nice has a true rle but when you get to that uh blade putter whole different story firm loud click feedback more Tor like feeling like your shrien diamond or your Prov one like maybe not that level maybe not that level of butter butteriness but really good really good feel really good feedback you’re going to like that a lot but for me personally I just don’t know if I could deal with the fact that it’s that dead I won’t touch on the tool a lot all the alignment tools are the same across the vice line this year I’m not a fan of them I wish they were big I now in hindsight I just wish they came out with a model kind of like some of the other golf balls are doing like Callaway hey you want the normal golf ball here it is oh you want one with a 360 line cool if you want one that’s just got three thick lines cool not the case here yet I hope to see that from Vice but uh let’s go ahead and test this golf ball out and let’s see how the numbers are all right so real quick touching on the feel of the golf ball uh Vice on their website claims that they really double down on that soft feel feeling and boy did they ever this golf ball feels very very soft not super soft to where you just when you hit it you feel like you’re hitting a marshmallow there’s a lot of feedback in there there’s some firm press it feels good it feels like a rocket when it comes off the club it’s a really well-designed ball for feel um if you loved how that Vice Pro soft felt I I I would say that they told the truth they really did double down on that they made it around a 75 compression which is around like the chrom soft back in the day chrom soft performed nominally on the channel so with that compression number I imagine my swing speed is going to be good for it but let’s dive into these numbers now and see how they are I’m excited you’re excited let’s go let’s start off with the uh 50 yard spin this is RPMs of course 8,187 which is the most I’ve tested with the new monitor so far I’ve tested it looks like eight balls uh that’s a really good score the golf ball is going to stop on a dime with a 50- yard pitch period that might even come back at you a little bit love to see that um that’s exactly i’ want to start off let’s go ahead and get into the nine iron now let’s dive into that the spin here 7,167 now Vice on their website says that this golf ball is supposed to have the least amount of spin of their three the pro pro plus and the vice air well so far the 7,167 is the second highest that I’ve tested as far as nineiron spin so that is really good spin it’s going to stop on a dime it’s going to even maybe come back at you a little bit that’s awesome um and then when we get to the nineiron ball speed that’s just absolutely incredible 99.9 um to be honest with you it was actually at 100.0 but I ended up finding another hit in there that was kind of borderline a mish hit I took that away and now it’s a 99.9 so just insane you know the if you saw the tour review the tour did really well also but it did not do this good my normal average in the past has been around 93 mph now with the new uh you know launch monitor it’s around 95.8 after I you know redeveloped my swing but 95.8 and getting 99.9 is absolutely insane that is so much ball speed I love that um let’s just keep going here 127.0 excellent 127.85 point7 which I actually really like it’s getting up in the air it’s spinning a ton the ball speed is making it toward where the distance maybe I’m not getting as much distance as I would if I didn’t have that spin but I don’t need distance all the time sometimes with my nine iron I need stopping power and boy does that have it so let’s keep this going here that’s that’s a new record so we have a record breaking already let’s go ahead and go into the seven iron uh starting with the spin 597 which again is really really good second highest I’ve tested 113.9 so only 0.1 lower than the vice tour uh really phenomenal there though again way higher than my average you know 3 mph higher than the average right now 150 8.8 that’s incredible 157.7mm 8895 which um is average that’s kind of like a medium it’s just slightly below average not a big deal there um it’s finally starting to show the low spin colors maybe I’m starting to compress it really well 123.2mi average right now uh 182 that’s awesome 179 that’s awesome and again 16.2 launches slightly high so really consistent there the numbers are great now those aren’t record-breaking or eye popping or anything but they’re still going to get the job done and then some so really love to see that if you’re a longtime follower on the channel you know just as well as I do that the driver really can make or break a golf ball sometimes it really just hinders it uh but let’s go ahead and see how the driver did here 2,195 that is an insanely low amount of spin which is awesome 232.103 slightly above my average and uh it actually this is where it gets interesting it did want to launch low it launched 12.4 uh part of that could be my driver swing I’m still working on it but it it did want to launch low compared to what I’ve been testing so wish it launched a little higher if it did I would get more distance out of it so those are really great numbers as well so I would say where we’re at is you know 10 out of 10 on nine iron 10 out of 10 on seven iron you know five hybrid probably like an8 out of 10 7 out of 10 somewhere in there good score not great and then driver same thing seven or an eight out of 10 so really good there and that just could be because of overc compressing that that’s what it could be this is meant for medium swing speeds with the 75 compression I was kind of hoping it would be like the Chrome soft and respond a little bit better on my driver not the case now it didn’t perform bad but it just didn’t have those eye popping numbers like uh even really the tour did the tour was phenomenal with the five hybrid as well so uh it’s interesting to see that there now let’s go ahead and real quick dive into the durability before I give you my closing thoughts looking at this golf ball uh it looks pretty good there are some minor it’s not as tough as the uh what do you call it the the tour was cuz the tour was the DuPont Surin on the outside there are some minor cuts and scratches here but I mean it is very minor I’d give it like a four out of five uh it’s definitely holding up its end really really well this is after about 65 70 shots directly into the net also some stuff around the green as well and it holds up it holds up really really well and what’s nice is that the pro drip actually uh kind of hides some of those blemishes it’s hard to see but they’re definitely there all right so final thoughts um you know this is another amazing showing from Vice it really is uh when I reviewed the tour a couple days ago I was just so shocked at the improvements that were made how much better the ball was how everything Vice was telling me and advertising to me was true that’s pretty rare nowadays there’s a lot of just fluff advertising out there and vice really took their time did their due diligence um and made golf balls that that are just outstanding now the tour was amazing because essentially it’s the little brother of the pro so it did feel a little firmer and so I didn’t notice that drop off at the end I noticed a drop off with the driver a little bit with the tour but really where the air kind of has a falter is that I noticed that drop off on the hybrid as well uh that means I was just overc compressing it I mean this golf ball advertises that it’s for slow to medium swingers that appears to be the case I mean because there is that overcompression there now it’s not enough don’t me wrong the numbers are still good so you can still use the golf ball if you love a soft feeling golf ball and you’re okay with giving up 5 yards with the driver and you know 5 yards with your hybrid or whatever who cares still an amazing golf ball all around you just can’t beat this you know the value the designs the record-breaking performances um you know the ease of access get them anywhere go to Walmart go to Target oh hey you know honey we’re picking up groceries I got to go pick up some more golf ball there just Vice is doing everything really really well and they continue that here with the pro air um my recommendation would be if you do swing 95 mph like I do probably try the pro now I haven’t got the test numbers out yet but I’m just guessing based on compression and stuff this one I did seem to overpress a little bit uh but if you’re 90 mph or lower this is the one if you’re good enough to play a three-piece urethane golf ball you’re comfortable getting it to spin uh all around it’s just an amazing performance value design anything you want it’s there I just can’t imagine there’s not too many golf balls that are like this on the market and so with that being said where this one’s going to fall is actually going to be number four on the list I mean it just makes sense it feels right it’s not quite as good as the vice tour which is number three on the list of course but it is a little better than the the Chrome tour which I just tested because the Chrome tour had amazing numbers but the value score was a because it was 55 it does and it’s like ridiculously high price so this is going to come ahead of that because the numbers are a little bit better and the value is way better but it’s just not as good of a performance is the tour the tour just slightly had a better performance so if you are 95 mph and you even want to save some money give the tour a try now I haven’t tested the pro yet but I think the tour and the pro are going to be that direct comparison that we really want to see to see if the is worth the extra $7 $10 a dozen uh depending on if you buy them bulk or not so guys as always keep watching and keep saving and keep learning until next time
