okay everybody let’s welcome the champion of live golf Singapore 2024 Brooks Kea the captain of Smash GC yay okay Brooks you shot uh 15 under to win the tournament by two you shot three under today which wasn’t nearly as good as your seven under yesterday so you had some people on your tail were you watching the leaderboard and kind of feeling the heat uh I felt the heat but it was mainly because how hot it was um yeah I just played very consistent very missed it in the right spots when you’re playing with a lead you kind of do that um you don’t have to force anything and um you know when you do get some wedges try to take advantage of it and I think that that kind of did that on 15 and um yeah just happy with the way I played so obviously this is going to give you some confidence heading into the PJ Championship um how are you feeling now that you’ve secured this W yeah I mean I feel good I feel a lot better than I did last week it was it was Browning the corner for me but uh like I said earlier I think in one of the press conferences it just the results weren’t there I felt like it was it was improving but it just wasn’t the results weren’t there so uh it’s nice to see some some results and all the hard work’s kind of paying off so what are you going to do between now and the major to keep your form uh go do my normal routine just work out and play golf and then relax and how special was it to have Jenna and crew there today to greet you first win with crew there yeah it’s super awesome um you know it’s great to have mounties like I said earlier in the week it’s it’s been kind of disappointing because he’s watched me finish 45th which is kind of embarrassing and um you know it’s something I’ve always kind of dreamed of is having uh Jenna and crew there when I win so to have them here is super special and um something I’ll never forget great well congratulations on your first win of the live 2024 season I’m going to kick it over to Mike there he is Brooks you said on TV that you started to see something kind of in the leadup going into Adelaide what exactly did you see uh just ball striking I think was starting to Round the Corner uh was starting to see it come out of the right window um if I don’t see it come out of the right window I I kind of struggle uh but it was nice to see it starts where I wanted it and the ball was kind of moving in the right direction I kind of didn’t know whether it was going to fade or draw um for about a month there but I I just got into bad habits it’s all it’s all the same thing we just got to go back to the basics with me and um you know playing in Wind all year the ball just kind of got moved back and that was about it so I kind of really harp on Claude and Ricky to really um just pay attention to the fundamental stuff and you you referenced the Master’s results a couple of times this week obviously you’ve got nothing to prove out here with the with the five majors and who knows how many more but internally do you feel like sometimes you need a chip on your shoulder to a certain degree a lot of the the great athletes seem to some seem to need that for maybe a bit of motivation it’s all internal um sometimes I can make it external but it’s all internal to me um look at I don’t enjoy playing good or playing bad um it’s not fun for me and I know they kind of pun I got I got punished punishment workouts all all through Adelaide and this week just because of the way I played so um try to correct that and don’t have to run that many miles and and sweep my ass off and were you aware during the round itself kind of how some of the guys were kind of nipping at your heels I don’t know how much you were looking at the at the leaderboard but you always seem to to come up with the clutch uh parve or whatever just to maintain the lead they never actually caught you yeah I watch it all the time I to me it doesn’t make any difference I’m still doing what I got to do or focusing on what I need to focus on um look if somebody goes out and and beats me and I have no problem with losing if I get flat out beat that doesn’t bug me but um like I said just kind of using it for for last second prep for for the PGI all right thanks okay anyone else oh over there you can go ahead do you um do you feel that you play better under pressure I mean I like to think so but I don’t know if I mean I think when there’s more on the line it’s more more enjoyable and it actually feels like real golf so you know nobody wants to be out competing on a Sunday when you’re battling for 45th um it’s just kind of a go at everything and hope you should a low round but uh being in contention kind of gets gets to be a little bit more fun and I think what what guys are used to uh on the last toll uh when you first um you know when you chipped from uh from the uh you know when you going to to the green and it was quite a long part what was going through your mind then when you were going for a birdie just uh well I actually didn’t realize I thought I had to make the last one for our team to finish third so um was kind of disappointed at the first one it just kind of bumped the first putt um just bumped in The Fringe and bumped right so he kind of had no chance but I didn’t realize that uh Adrian’s putt took them ahead of us I still thought I had to make it for our team so um kind of disappointed in that but uh look guys are battling so uh things like that happen great anyone else there one more no sorry one more in the back Brooks uh now that you won here and going into major would would you be comfortable with the expectations raised or I mean what would what would make you comfortable going into a major I mean winning always helps but I still have the same expectations every time I go te it up is to win so that’s those are my expectations what I want to do um you know one one result doesn’t mean um doesn’t mean anything really in the scheme of things for two weeks a lot can change so uh yeah it does help but at the same time um I’ve seen guys miss cuts and then go win and then win and then not compete the week after so it’s uh it’s all abs and flows okay great any others great Kim hi Brooks congratulations um you know earlier this week you mentioned how much you like to win and you know I mean to win one major is hard enough but you’ve done backto back ma uh Majors twice and now you’re going in for a third one you know what what do you think gives you that winning it is it mental or yeah yeah I mean I think iron play is is a huge part of that I think I’m a good ball Striker um I seem to make I mean I I’m pretty good inside 8 ft I feel like um normally it’s uh when there’s a clutch po I feel like I I do make it and but I think the big thing that kind of Separates Me is just my my ability to lock in and go someplace where I think a lot of guys can’t go okay last call okay great thank you br

Brooksi with another W
Stone cold winner
Dude just won $4 million and looks like his dog just died
This first interviewer sucks
THANOS
Brooks going to hard to beat at PGA
Guy hates his life 😂
He looks exhausted! Singapore heat, recharge and get ready to defend the PGA! Great form
He looks so dead inside
He tries too hard to act like he does not give AF.
Brooks, my man you just won your first LIV tournament this year and happy for you. Brooks, enjoy the process and show more emotion. Wish you the best for the PGA Championship.
People complaining Brooks doesn't show more emotion haven't been watching him over his career. It's just who he is.
He's dialled. Clearly pissed off after the Masters showing, and now he's totally narrowing his focus getting back to his killer mode
A no BS kinda guy.. just wants the majors
I love how he tells his contemporaries most of them can’t go where he goes mentally.
5:06 Brooks still thinking about the team event while going for the win is more proof these guys love the LIV format.
Just as long as he wins a lot more majors🥰🥰🌹🌹🌹
Congrats Bad Ass Brooks.
Whoever the first interviewer was, she needs to go back to teaching preschool. She obviously had no idea what she’s talking about. No wonder Brooks looked pissed off listening to that idiot.
Personality like a dial tone
Liv golf is supported by the people with major ties to Sept 11. Shame
actions not words is brooks, next time someone tries to convince you that they don't care, look at what they do, not what they say.
He just doesn’t like talking to the media. That’s all.
Nobody gives a F about who wins these tournaments 😂 Brooks said it without saying it.
brooks has been to the tiger woods school of personality plus presentation, not realy a big picture person is he
