Welcome Friends to muskrat links in our premere series golfing the granite state today we are showcasing a beautiful new 18-hole Course in Kingston New Hampshire where I shot another score that lowered my handicap watch to the end to see the giveaway winners from last week’s golf ball hunting video and tap subscribe to show your support for this amazing Series this is golfing the granite state welcome to Granite Fields golf club we are here in beautiful Granite Fields this is going to be a fantastic day it is absolutely perfect temperature we got pops behind the camera I’ve never played this course pops has never played this course which is very rare so I’m hopeful that today we can go out have some fun see some cool new holes and share them with you guys goals for the day want to try to make a birdie again want to try not to lose too many balls cuz having not played the course it’s going to be a little tricky for me to figure out where we’re going and stuff so I want to try not losing any balls and maybe we can break 40 again that would be great coming off of that 37 at Hidden Creek that was pretty good so before we get out there let me tell you a little bit about Granite Fields opened in 2004 this 18-hole course boasts a fun design with beautiful features they have a putting green warm-up area with range mats and light Refreshments available in the clubhouse the tips max out at about 6600 yd and since the back nine is currently closed for airra today let’s head to the first T to experience the front nine at Granite Fields all right first hole here play in the front nine dad’s poke one down right down Main Street let’s see if I can follow suit I got nine wood in hand I had nine wood in hand all right he punched it through he’s good he’s good it’s fading back yeah just did yeah it’s coming oh you’re lucky she’s I was planned no problem at all nothing to do with it exactly enjoy guys thanks guys I want to give a big shout out to Steve the starter there he’s been super nice to us the whole time letting us know where to go hunt for golf balls as well and letting us out get out in front of him before our 1:00 tea time so we wouldn’t have to play behind a couple of uh for some so yeah so we can get our round going a little faster so thank you Steve absolutely wonderful people here at Granite field so far everyone’s been super nice to us this is exactly what you’re looking for in a golf course and we have two Fairways that’s probably not going to happen any other time today Side by each I got about 165 or so left in here I got eight iron but I do have this tree in the way I don’t know if I can quite get it up over this tree so it’s a little risky pin’s kind of Center pops already found the green on the left side so hopefully I can do the same oh it’s tipped it right at the flag tree assist hole out beautiful right up at the front we will take that a shot well we ended up just a little bit short here we clipped that tree just enough to put us here we got about a 50-footer here I’m planning on putting it just want to leave this close to give ourselves a good look at par that’s what we’ like to start off with it’s like we got some right to left that’s for sure keep going going buddy keep going that’s pretty good speed we’ll take that it’s like a one footer for par surely I can make those right I’ve been known to miss bump and run eight iron for pops oh it just curls around the back yeah go get that for me go pick car thanks all right a little bit left to clean up here right to left her just going to play it inside right Edge I think no problem never D don’t look at me like that that’s called a parar start that look like a straight putt to me I don’t know what you were thinking Lord let’s go to the next so that’s how we do it you said right to left so what the hell is he thinking and then I pushed it right too I’m so waiting for you to miss that right would have been hilarious but I don’t know if you guys saw I probably showed one in the intro but they’ve got these really cool wood carvings from trees that are kind of near the tea boxes and stuff I’ll show you guys some more as we’re going along but they are absolutely beautiful and it’s a really cool feature of this course so next up we’ve got a par for little bit of a dog leg right here so I’ve got driver let’s see what we can do little bit of a crosswind as well it’s probably going to help hold I Fade up a little bit so we’re just going to start it right at that white house and if it works back to the right that would be ideal that is cash money look at that Tracer right down the pipe that’s why we’re playing the blue teeth cuz we’re actually decent at golf let’s go well this was an absolute pipe job of a drive right here right down the middle mid we’ve got like 50ish yards left into this I can’t really tell don’t have the rangefinder continue to forget the rangefinder but I’ve got the 58 just want to go for the center of the screen not pin seek too much and give ourselves a putt for bird I mean it looks pretty good settle oh it rolled out a little bit it hit the sand and bounced hard it landed right next to the pin though but I don’t mind that that’s a great shot spin don’t worry it won’t make the Final Cut well we did just end up over the back here but we’re in birdie range that’s for sure we got about a 20 footer here kind of a little right to left it’s also kind of a little Valley in the Middle Air so I don’t mind this let’s get our speed right but let’s also give this a shot oh it hopped and bumped and Plinko but not quite in but it is a tap in par we are starting off strong yet again even par through two Granite fields 330 or so yard par for here looking fairly straight away we’ve got a bunker there I’m just going to aim directly over the bunker you can just about see the red flag just beyond it so try to carry it right over that bunker if it works back to the right great let’s hit the same drive we did on the last hole that would be ideal yep she’s coming back I think it’s going to be pretty good I caught it a little off the heel but it’s heading down there wow we hit a m monster drive on here almost drove this 330 yard par for here but we’ve got no green to work with we’re super shortsighted I just have to float this over the bunker and hope it trickles down on I got the 58° this is going to be difficult bunker I told you it was about 35% chance of going in the bunker and there we have it all right out of there next got a little bit of rain coming down here now and uh this sand trap is pretty hard pretty Slappy so just try get a little bit behind this generate a little spinning anywhere up there will be a okay with me and zip okay good it stopped right there we’re able to get some spin on it we at least have that to save par all right dad’s got the Hat over the camera for us we got this left to right downhill snake for par this would be a huge one to make but we do not expect this to go in down the Plinko machine here we go kick is up it’s on the way it’s not nearly as fast as I thought it was going to be oh my goodness I thought this was going to race P the whole but we’re left right here with this to clean up for bogey all right let’s go we can make this one little firmer oh that one doesn’t break at all this has been a fun hole so far within 30 yards and it took me like five more shots to get in from there [Music] golf 187 yard par through up here we’re filming dad just in case he laces one down there so let’s see what we can do hang on should hit five wood I’ve got five iron here we’ve been striking the irons pretty well today so let’s see if we can keep that Trend growing and maybe even hit this green it struck well but pulled a little left hit it free nothing I didn’t even see it hit the Pines it’s up there somewhere well this is going to sound crazy but I am putting this this is all like fluffy but hard ground is going to be nearly impossible to chip so I’m going to putt through this and see if we can get one down onto the green there here we go from the woods that is looking decent settle in ball settle right there that is a very good result I definitely could not have done that with the wedge now we at least got a look for par let’s go I’m playing a little bit too much break on some of these so let’s just go right edge here be nice and firm give ourselves a look at this par yes that’s a really good par from back there in the woods and a nice bounce back from that double on the last hole we are back on track that’s an up and [Music] down hole number five par for here about 375 yd bit of a dog leg to the right hopefully we can put another good drive on this one maybe not so much of a slice maybe we try to straighten this one out I’m going to go kind of just to the left of that Pine Tree Way Up out there down the Fairway and see if I can just poke one straight oh it’s gone straight left pulled it I heard something we’ll have to see if we can find it I think he’s down by the bunker there I was thinking about straightening it out so much I was like get that into out swing and I H it dead straight plan what you had today would work too I was trying to kind of it’s been working pretty good well this hole is absolutely beautiful and no doubt we will be stopping by here later or we already have to pick some golf balls so beautiful Lake out here this course has been super fun so far I’m really loving it be very fun to come back out here and play The Back Nine as well since we’re just doing the front nine today so all right let’s go see if we can find those drives the golf gods have looked favorably upon me and kicked me back out into the rough area we got about 142 or so here I’ve got nine iron see if we can put one on the green this will be the first green regulation if we could actually hit the green that would be nice she’s looking pretty good Right Center is it the right Club oh just on the front there I think that’s enough for green and regulation though we’ll take it well we did in fact hit a green here so that’s a green in regulation we’ve got ourselves about a 45 50t or something like that again a little bit left to right I think overall so we’re just going to kind of go a little bit off the left hand side here and see if we can leave ourselves a little tap and Par again I like the line does it have the speed not quite the speed but a pretty good line let’s see if we can clean clean that thing up for par here’s what we got left to clean up everybody not really sure where this one’s moving so we’re definitely playing this one straight little five footer back up the hill Oh another good catch from the hole and it does Mark another par for us that was a bit of a dicey hole we did at least hit the green though and uh yeah another par on the scorecards let’s keep it going dad’s dialing up this next hole on the app here see what we’ve got cuz we always just forget the range finder is what we do here but hey my verdict so far Granite Fields has indeed been a lot of fun we’ve been hitting some good shots playing some pretty good golf overall we’ve been having a good day out here sprinkling rain has about led up a little bit we’ve got some pretty nice picturesque holes here I believe this course was built in 2004 I want to say so it’s been open for about well 20 years now I suppose right so it’s pretty nice we got the electric carts which is really cool definitely excited to get back out here and play The Back Nine if we can a little bit later in the season that will be a ton of fun we’ve got a par five coming up next let’s see what we can do all right we’ve got a possibly reachable par five up here now we’ve got trouble on the left and trouble a little further up on the right so I’m going to start this one kind of just up the left side let it work back no more toe draws this time let’s actually just let our fade fade and see if we can get one in the [Music] Fairway could be in the crap hang on buddy one hop two hops possibly in the crap we’ll have to see if we can find that thing yeah the only way you could reach it if you hit a 27 for dead left dead stra okay calm down exactly what you did well we’re in a little bit of a swamp here kind of some cas ual water around my feet but this is a I don’t mind the ball above my feet see if we can smack one up there I got a Forwood I don’t really know how far it is but maybe we can get something up by the green that would be pretty cool all right away we go work little off the heel heading right for the bunker I think it’s just in that green side bunker but uh decent contact we’ll take it well we found the greenside bunker here into pops flipped his chip up to there he’s got that for par I want to get up and out of here this is a little bit fluffier sand than we had on the previous hole where we were in the Trap so just kind of blast it out let it land just over this hill and give ourselves a birdie look that’s what we’re trying to do that’s pretty good we’ll take that and I get a little read from Pops too extra juice for the birdie oh unlucky that is just too bad thanks for playing it goes up and then it comes back hey good read though well we have our first realistic look at birdie here today and it’s a good one six-footer 8 foot or something like that 6 feet I don’t know left Edge we’ve been putting okay let’s make one come on start the [Music] music yes cash it out for birdie we get a stroke back from that double we made a couple holes ago we are back to one overp par and we’re having a great day out here let’s go bur time dang it I wasn’t recording just Trace over it they’ll never know yeah we’re really good at this you know this is where the cart path turns yeah what the heck is this hole everybody the Fairway is like 5 yards wide where were I supposed to go right there 214 leave 154 in just oh my goodness just thread the needle and drop it right on that dot you’re fine this is a hole I’ll tell you what this is New Hampshire golf right [Music] here all right this is a brutal hole as you guys just saw there on Dad’s phone I don’t know what it is 300 middle something yardage I’ve got fourwood off the te I’m just going to go right down the cart path and if it bleeds back to the right that would be a okay just trying not to lose a ball here that’ll work it’s off the heel but I think it’s going to find the center of the Fairway that’s about all I can ask for that’s a great Drive even though I almost missed the ball that’s how to play good golf almost missed the ball and find a fairway he’s after you he knew you had a turkey sandwich for lunch he did he angry well that beautiful Forwood put a smack in the middle of this Fair we we’ve got about maybe 165 Ys to the pins so I’ve got eight iron here another opportunity to hit a green in regulation hey hey on last hole we hit a green regulation we made a birdie so let’s see if we can replicate that on this hole pins on the far left I’m going to start it at the pin and if it fades back to the center Beauty it’s just on the left side it’s not fading at all I think it’s going to be a little long left bunker City maybe yeah I think that one ended up in the bunker all right no fade on that but it’s a Well struck shot so I’ll take it I want to go over the left edge of this pine cone yep I see that that’s my line I can just do that yeah if you do that no one will lose any teeth on this shot wasn’t the Gap we were going for no well was the Gap will take but it took off right right away yeah well now we’re back in the sand we got some wet sand this time so I should be able to slap right under this it’s kind of been a nice little bull I just got to get over the little Ridge in the front and this will trickle down there so this is a good look actually that is a very good look actually yeah yeah that’s what I’m talking about don’t mind some sand at all let’s make that thing for par these are the putts I never make but we’re making it today just downhill got to hit a straight putt pray to the pmart gods that it stays online here we go yes I know it’s a little putt but it does feel good we make another par we are playing some real good golf today what do we got maybe two or three holes to go something like that let’s keep this rolling [Music] why are we all the way back here pops what are we doing 200 yards what are you doing who decided to play the blues I should be at the whites at my Advanced AG you should be at the Reds we’re going 200 y I probably would hit hybrid but there’s zero room for error so we’re hitting five wood and I’d rather be in the woods over the green than be fishing it out cuz I haven’t lost the ball yet today either so want to start here all right let’s go what do you got nine wood or four iron we’ll go see what it looks like yeah absolutely beautiful Par 3 here I don’t know what the signature hole is out here at Granite Fields but this one looks absolutely gorgeous water the entire way up got to carry it the whole way I’ve got nine wood from here it’s pretty smooth just need to kind of keep it online here I’m going to start at the left side it’s very nice up the left side hopefully it’s the right number carry over embedded in the bank I think I didn’t see it bounce so I think it went over it definitely went over I mean over the over the back of the green oh it might have flew on the green we’ll have to go check it out think well I’m not quite in the bunker here but it’s right on the edge and again this is just going to be really hard to chip out of so I’m going to putt again the rough is hard packed and bumpy see if we can just get one up onto the dance floor here get up and down for par on a very hard hole don’t mind that at all that’s a good look we’ll take that see if we can drain that thing for par another dicey putt for par car here greens are a little hairy a little Pocky but I think it’s pretty straight maybe a little left or right but not much come on let’s keep this good putting train rolling here no just no break I shouldn’t have played it outside the hole I might have pulled it anyway but bogey on this hole is not a problem because it’s a 200 yard absolutely gorgeous par three so we’ll take that heading into the last hole let’s go ladies and gentlemen here is the situation we are two over with one to play we’ve got a par five pretty short like 475 yards or something like that we got some swamps in the front another swamp up in the landing zone so I’ve got fourwood here but if we can keep this ball in play we can definitely reach our goal of breaking 40 out here at Granite Fields it’s been super fun so far so let’s just see if we can work the forward up the left side bring it back to the right and see if we can find a fairway let’s go hang on might catch a tree didn’t hit cart path I saw it down I think we’re safe fine we’re safe we’re in good shape we might be able to go for this green and two let’s go well this is where we ended up we absolutely do not have a look but it’s going to be a fun shot I think I’ve got like a stinger banana slice forward to get up and around this corner a little bit let’s just choke down a little bit and see if we can yank one around there I’m good at these shots let’s see what we can do oh it’s so good that is so good oh my gosh I couldn’t hit that any better I don’t know enough to get there that’s going right up the sh that is a shot sliced right up the gut all I can say is you hand me a paintbrush and I make art that’s what we’re doing out here I don’t do well from like 130 out in the Fairway that’s not my game behind that tree that’s my game caution Bridge there’s a ball down here I got to get it’s it’s look like it’s half orange grab it grab it there’s so many down here there’s a bajillion there just a gazillion well we’ll be back we’ll be back we’ll be back stop picking up balls I can’t help this is like the that’s Golf Club leg of a c of a bag something hey that counts that’s a piece of equipment found on the course is that check a bingo card box send it off to the bingo card for next week let’s go ladies and gentlemen just look at this I was not planning on going for the green at all with my shop but oh my goodness that is us right up there on the apron that is a chip for Eagle we could actually birdy this hole we could Eagle this hole my gosh let’s get up there and check it out well here we are Fort Eagle I think I’m going to take the 54 and try to land it just in that dirt there at the front I could putt this as well but I want to hit a good chip today too it’s part of the goal here so let’s see if we can give ourselves a nice little look at birdie it’s too far settle Juiced it well we got that for birdie anyway it’s not bad we have this for bird little trickler down the hill here right to left 10 12 ft see if we can maybe make a little bit more magic happen trickle Out roll out now stop let me tap that in for par bada bing bada boom that is a par what a way to finish the round out here we’re going to jump back over and talk about the ratings for the course because I had an absolute blast out here today we shot 38 we made a birdie let’s rate the course and just before we do that I want to go ahead and pick the winners from our two recent giveaways you guys crushed it of all I do want to give a big shout out for the folks at Granite Fields I had an absolute blast today thank you guys for letting me film in golf ball hunt out there the videos were absolutely awesome and again you guys are going to absolutely love the golf ball hunting video we found some really cool stuff and went to some really cool places on this course so my final numbers here we go Granite Fields comes in with a total score of 89 here we went for 22 on the character I thought it had a couple pretty cool holes it also had the really cool wood carvings as well I think on paper I look for a golf course that when you get up to every tea box you have to think about what club you want to hit right I like shop makers courses I don’t like courses that are just wide open where you just rip dry for every hole that’s not really fun there’s not really character there so I thought Granite Fields had some pretty good character had to use nine wood off some T’s four wood off some te’s I like that facilities were 22 obviously didn’t have a full driving range there but had enough where you could warm up there wasn’t any like giant restaurant or anything there or some huge Pro Shop that we could go into but like I said it was plenty enough to get the job done and have a lot of fun so we gave a 22 out of 25 for facilities as for the value again the course condition we don’t look at the plugged greens at all so we negate that completely we’re not basing our score on oh no the greens were air rated like I said every course has to do that the T boxes were a little bit rough and some places there were definitely some dried out spots I was putting through the rough I guess in some areas too but again it’s like New Hampshire woods so you kind of expect that so we gave a 21 out of 25 for Value which is pretty decent and then the big one again here is friendliness we gave an almost perfect score to Granite Fields 24 out of 25 everyone we talked to was so great out there today Steve the starter was absolutely exceptional all the other starters in the state should be there with a notebook on the first he taking notes from how Steve does I really appreciate him and what he did for our group he made a lot of fun and again the people I talked to in the Pro Shop as well Bob and Molly you guys were awesome helping us out giving us the lay the land and letting us know where we should go today I had an absolute blast year at Granite fields and again I would say I 100% want to come back and see the back nine we didn’t get to play it in this video but in a future video I would love to come back again do another golf ball picking and back nine and we can always adjust these scores too the scores can go up from here as well but again very good score from Granite fields we ended up going with the 89 here which is definitely one of the higher scores here on the chart it was a lot of fun and I highly recommend you guys go check out the course if you are down there in the
