yeah maybe not quite as hot as a 790 yeah but very consistent 180.4 181.50 and we’re going to compare it against what do you have Presto I’ve got the Al made p790 here okay so we’ve got the current model p790 uh I have the IC 602 and as usual presso is going to sit here hit some balls we’re going to compare some shots and then we’ll go through the numbers and uh see how they compare against each we’re going to start today off with Taylor Ma’s p790 here okay so uh this current model p790 correct yes sir okay just about a Groove thin but pretty good strike still really good right down the middle yeah what shaft you have in there Bubba we’ve got KBS tour light stiff here okay so both clubs uh same shaft same length same L angle yes there we go struck that one well where’s this ball speed coming from from you dude it’s uh 790 here I love it yeah you’re swinging 91 miles hour also which you don’t normally do no little lighter club I’m used to swinging some a little heavier smoked but that was flush okay all right uh why don’t you hit one more solid one here and then we’ll try to work it just smoke okay so you can hit it straight yep all right let’s try let’s go high low left and right yeah for sure let’s try to knock one down first so you can knock it down definitely can knock it down so everybody should have seen the p790 by now uh um go ahead and tell them what you think looking down at it what’s it look like yeah so I mean it’s a hollow body so it’s a little thicker on top for that Top Line but it’s great looking iron really yeah I can play it looking down at it no not a whole lot of offset or anything crazy just a little thick yeah just a little thick try to hit one high here it should be pretty high hit that high yeah I’d say so there we go 134 ft in the air so you can hit a high cut let’s see uh let’s see a draw here all right I like to fade the ball but this is a shot I can always hit everybody loves seeing the draw yeah and then it’ll draw for you look at this guy just firing on all cylinders this morning what a shot Bud that was nice old 200 yd 7 iron we’ll see a low a low cut here low cut all [Music] right there we go I think that should cut oh I just got the face a little too shut whatever good shot yeah the p790 is been a good iron for us because it’s it’s just super forgiving the whole face is super forgiving got a lot of ball speed absolutely cool um let’s go ahead and switch irons here and we’ll be right back all right Presto what do you have what do you have now all right so now I’ve got the Mira IC 602 this is their new iron they just put out okay this is uh in the same category I would say is like the 790 zx4 yeah 245 okay little toey but not bad very straight it’s a good ball all right what specs do we have here all right so same shaft as before we got the KBs has t light stiff standard length standard lie solid strike good shot so looks like it’s spinning a little more and the ball speed’s not quite there yeah to the p790 yeah maybe not quite as hot as the 790 yeah but very consistent 180.4 it’s extremely consistent yeah that was as good as I can hit it so the 790 was still a couple mph ball speed faster but spin was good on that uh Carry’s very good didn’t didn’t really jump a lot on you you just flushed it yeah I mean that was as good as I could hit it okay we take one more and then we’ll start trying to work it yeah [Music] pretty good strike missed it just a hair not bad yeah still very straight yeah very good online CL okay let’s uh what do you want to see here Preston let’s see I want to see see I’m going to try to hit one really high okay let’s see it that sounded really good yeah that one should be pretty high yeah nice little high cut called it let’s get shot all right all right now what do you want to see let’s flight one down here see spin didn’t even really jump on that either which is cool no that was really nice it’s pretty good definitely came off lower little low cutter yeah that was nice we’ll see we CV and draw Preston all right I can do that for you oh yeah yeah that’s Mr confident over here that is one shot I can definitely hit I like to see a cut but man can I draw one oh I towed that one a little bit still going to draw come on still went almost 170 I mean for a significant drop in Smash factor that was still a really good shot yeah I mean that was a toe ball yeah let’s hit another one here yeah there you go there we go there’s a good draw yeah so I mean you’re getting the same ball speeds as the 790 you may be swinging it up a little bit faster but um yeah very simar performance let’s try to play a little soft cut with it okay how she looks sitting down it looks good it it does look fairly similar to the 790 I’ll would give it that it’s got the you know thicker Top Line but what it looks like it has his less offset less offset yeah than the 790 nice face definitely doesn’t feel as hot yeah it doesn’t feel quite as jumpy off the face which is nice not a perfect strike but show you what a Miss does yeah I mean good Miss yeah still got 176 out of it I’ll take that as a miss all day long it’s three yards less than your average on a Miss yeah try to play a little more cut again here okay there you go that should cut nicely there little low cutter yeah oh I tried face just shot again but not bad cool let’s uh let’s go ahead and pull up the tables and we’ll compare all the shots here all right uh we got our tables and our dispersion chart pulled up here we’ve got the 602 up top and the 790 on the bottom so if you look uh the 790 is probably about 10 yards further um spins a little this spins a little more on the 602 uh maybe flies a little further lands a little steeper um if you look at your average side offline the 602 may be a little bit closer um I would say this is a fair comparison but it’s not a fair comparison would you yeah I would I would completely agree there okay so maybe just kind of keep that in mind that they look the same but the p790 is geared more towards ball speed where as I feel like the 602 probably be more geared towards forgiveness and allowing the maybe the mid to higher handicapper to be able to hit it the consistent distance that they’re looking for yeah I think that’s what their goal was with that iron versus kind of more of a distance iron Okay cool so if we look at the dispersion um definitely a little bit tighter dispersion um if you take out that one that you really smoked up there the the grouping is much tighter definitely not going as far but definitely tighter um you got anything else you want to add no I think they’re both good irons I mean it was the closest thing I think we could compare them to and I think they’re slightly different um designs and irons
