welcome back to Modern golf I hope you guys are doing great today we’re kind of looking at part two as the long game uh fitting with my dear friends club champion in Cleveland um today was hybrids um and as you’ll see as we go throughout this video and I won’t make it very long um a lot of you guys had asked hey once you go through one Club can you give us the specs and so we’re doing that now after each one with the shaft and and the head and and swing speed and ball speed and smash factor and all those different things and pros and cons uh my current hybrid was about or is about seven or eight years old um it’s a tour edge Exotics which I love it’s an ex9 if my either ex9 or EX10 I think an ex9 um liked it when I first got it I think as I’ve gotten age or older I have uh started slowing down my swing speed for really my hybrid and my ferwood and I think you’ll see as we go through this trial um all the different heads all the different um shafts and you know am I a regular am I a stiff am I in between all those different things and I think you get a neat perspective of kind of what it’s really like to be fit I will tell you if you haven’t gotten fit in the last couple years I would say do yourself a favor if you’re new to the game or I’ve been playing for 50 years go get fit uh my Fairway Wood fitting if you guys haven’t watched it I won’t give you a spoiler but I can tell you it was quite shocking um and I think the hybrid is right there I mean double digit gains consistency all those different things but we tried everybody pxg Titleist Cobra ping Taylor Made callway and everybody Titleist if I haven’t mentioned them a couple times and you’ll see at the end of this uh who won I guess essentially and then the reason uh they won so stay tuned uh please give us your feedback of what you think of this format better um and let us know we’re back to the PS on this Len not that I’ve been hitting a thousand so that’s why like good right I mean sounded Sol yeah I mean my smash Factor isn’t great but yeah so this is what like when I look at like Okay so this would probably put me somewhere in stiff close yeah um but i’ probably either a really soft tip stiff or soft all right I’ve hit enough of this thing you that isff right it’s pretty Dar [Applause] solid sounded good but it’s definitely High I don’t I going hit my pitching leg that that one iow so let’s see if it show come and go with them I I can’t I’ve been struggling with my forarm my hybrid I it’s the same thing that distance that that 190 to 2 man that sounded great should be low I low on left I lost it’s got to slow down come on oh guess that was left didn’t feel like it was going left but and we into the headed so that the you’re swinging in is the you know the best one bad day say the hell this CL that smoked does it that was a little bit of a Miss but it should be yeah Jeff just like a human you only have to hit it 300 y I mean this one is definitely dep I don’t know why but it doesn’t they don’t play that way though that one fell left I’m not so worri about that that was okay so that had to be if that wasn’t there you go all you got to do is slow down yep what a game I mean that looked like a half swing yeah it was yeah was L put yep I do Wonder like is that yeah more comfortable with the slightly larger yeah I think so I think I don’t hate I mean yeah I’m not I mean that was I can’t I can’t complain now you know what’s weird to me I don’t know why this one feels heavier it probably is a little heavier okay definitely than cover that we just hit yeah like it feels I mean like didn’t register all was it that low yeah no oh I don’t love this I hit one more and then we’ll see I don’t love the look of this you do not no okay I mean listen if it worked out great yeah it was I could deal with it um but next one suck all right let me do one more let me try to put it real that was low should be left and low but let’s see yep yeah I I’m just no I’m just not through and that was a swing to be honest that was not really yeah that was not better that one I didn’t go after obviously but yep yeah I just think it’s the Pains of the answer I mean I mean I mean okay I’m I’m open to anything else but so far this is by far the wi I can hit I can swing my dog and it’s still the best so I agree so I hope you guys enjoyed the hybrid video as you saw the new g430 hybrid was the winner uh certainly on Aesthetics feel distance consistency all those things was just a better fit I think what’s interesting about this uh as much as anything is finding the right shaft and head combination for everything but this took a little bit of work uh and Mike uh Snodgrass the fitter once again dialed me in um to almost say perfection but what incredible fitting um you know to walk away hitting it almost 20 yards longer and consistently better ball flight better everything it just goes to show you why you can’t buy off the rack if you’re serious about getting better um and my hybrid has been okay it’s not been great and in the last few years um and if you watch the fairywood video you’ll see the same thing so anyway if you’re going to club champion in Cleveland definitely look up my guy Mike Snodgrass uh if you don’t live in Cleveland Market but you have a club champion near you uh I would trust all these guys they’re they’re incredible at what they do but Club Champion is fun. If you go for a full bag it’s a bit of a workout for the beginning of the season. I still use a Cobra Baffler with the Aldila NV shafts from 20+ years ago, still money.
