doing their show it was showtime and Kyle says me find it here God dang dude what are all the had too many people text me it’s stupid um he says is this your salad bowl and he sends me a picture and there’s Whitey with a salad bowl and I said no I’m pretty sure that’s Allen style that’s Allen’s because we coincidentally talked about his salad yesterday right over there and Kyle goes what no way thought 100% it was yours and took a pause there for a second because I went okay number one why do you 100% think it’s mine I’m just the guy that would leave the solid Bowl do I leave random things here in the studio from time to time I don’t know if I’ve ever left a dish I don’t I’ve ever brought in a dish but it’s kind of weird but fine I I I thought I I had to think about am I offended by this or not and then I decided to just use humor so I said why would you think that Kyle do I look like I eat salad to which he responded you’re right which actually was more offensive than the first good to see you finally persevere um I asked him before the show I said so now that you’re management do you get an office he said yeah g to take a our old uh PD Bryant’s office that’s awesome good got an office and then uh and then I said so and Jason still has an office right yeah you the one that you have down there and I thought wait a minute well I don’t have an I’m the only guy on the show that doesn’t have an office and I kind of like the Kyle text I started I was like am I offended and then I like half second later was like what am I gonna do like what am I doing with an you guys do actual work yeah what i g do with an my office is the parking lot I think I have an office kind of by default and if Chris had said today hey I’m taking that office I’m like all right yeah parties over over Grandpa wow he just rolls in The champ is here and he’s aist suit now party’s over goes that’d be a great video you just start tossing Jason’s stuff out of the office get out I can’t be mean and find out what’s going on and then just do it but now we have a suit does that mean you do you actually have to wear not a suit but or is there going to be like uh golf shirt shopping in your convention we’re on a streak of having some sort of management on the show well yeah because for a long time you were the actual program director and doing the show and then J Mars was an APD that is raw right now single digit average at USC in his freshman year but he has this in unprecedented I keep saying situation where his dad is going to make him a ton of money and you’re telling me that if a team has the inside track or God forbid a guarantee that they’re going to get LeBron James for a couple of years forget the whole he’s old and the he had a great year number one statistically forget who he is the numbers are great and number two the windfall of money coming from LeBron James playing for your team not to mention you can get every call from the refs yeah and I just wonder too if you could get an agreement with LeBron like literally let’s take the bronny part of this and say he’s probably at best a g- league or maybe maybe he develops into an NBA player who knows but can you I don’t want to say waste a roster spot you’re getting one with LeBron you get yeah but you’re gonna have to waste two because you’re this is this is the we’re already seen he’s not doing this to go watch his son play in the G League he must to be on the same roster with him now he may not play there’s already an example yeah there’s there’s already an example right now it’s not exact but it’s have there’s no guarantee what if LeBron’s like I didn’t really want to go to Sacrament well that’s or team X he’s gonna have to he’s gonna have to communicate it because one of two things is going to happen number one the Lakers have to use their first round because here’s the other thing it’s not like they get a guarantee at Brony James what if Charlotte comes up and man screw it yeah we’ll take if he wasn’t a top 10 pick you have that that’s why this is so fascinating you’re not drafting bronnie James you’re drafting LeBron James for two years and this is a down draft well then you just guaranteed his son uh all that money first round pick that’s exactly right and LeBron’s got LeBron’s making more off the court than on the court he doesn’t care he’s got enough money now he just set his son up with his own generational wealth gets to play with him for the last let’s say two years so how high how high what is that worth pickwise is that worth a 10 is that worth a lottery pick is it worth it drafting somebody somebody look at the draft and go why wouldn’t Detroit do it if they get the one or the Spurs like the Spurs have webman Yama LeBron bronnie I think I think I think I think and then C money and they get like Malik let’s say I mean like they could turn themselves into a team really quickly that’s the thing the strategy is amazing do do you do that or if you’re let’s say the Spurs want them right or do you do you just see how far bronny Falls and then if somebody grabs him before you before your next pick or whatever you know hey we’ll trade you trade for that player give me that pick there’s all kinds of maneuver in there I’m really excited for it I hope it’s not a let down where he’s like I’ll play where you know I’m gonna play for I don’t have to play purchases just all of Allstar votes all that kind of stuff those guys are out they are out I love it I think it’s great for the game I don’t I I I expect I’m just gonna predict you’re gonna see uh well who was it uh was who never beat Miami last year yeah yeah Rings will probably be flat but I’ll bet you they’ll be down from the year before just just because that’s the what you that’s the way it is I’m talking about playoffs in general I bet you we’re going to see some figures that say you know num because you’ve got them there it’s not that they’re out of the playoffs they’re out at by bad you’re talking about two Midwestern midmarket teams now Denver and Minneapolis are both Metropolis they’re both big cities but these are not these are not the go-to markets they want this is not Los Angeles Chicago New York San Francisco right right now they’re looking at Boston almost certainly will advance New York will almost certainly Advance that’s going to be a big deal they’re relying on the East they are 100% relying on the East here’s the problem you’re also going to almost certainly have Indiana and if you don’t have Indiana you’re gonna have Milwaukee yeah and if you you’re almost certainly gonna have well you are certainly going to have Milwaukee or Indiana versus Cleveland or Orlando yeah like this is the year of the small market right and then in the west what you’re waiting on basically is Dallas or the Clippers so you got Los Angeles or Dallas against OKC right so you already have Minnesota in you have Denver in you have OKC in those are three markets the NBA is not going to Champion right they’re they’re praying that I mean even Dallas would be a win for them but but the Clippers honestly I wonder which one they would prefer I mean that’s the I know LA’s a bigger Market but it’s not the Lakers yeah would you rather have and I know the the Clippers have plenty of star power but would you rather have LCA Kyrie that’s a really good D just like that a good point Jason kid that’s a really good point I don’t know I don’t know that’s a really good question would the NBA rather have the Clippers LA’s other team right and you’ve got Westbrook Harden George why maybe but they’re again they’re not the Lakers or do you want Dallas which by the way Dallas is a very very big I I believe Dallas is a top 10 Market actually oh yeah um but you I am praying how amazing would it be if we had an Orlando OKC finals I mean no lie I’m not saying that’s the most compelling matchup right but that just be funny to laugh at we may actually get some Fair refereeing for the rest of the playoffs maybe but I think I think right now they’re gonna make their money A Lot on uh Boston New you know the fact that New York’s and it’s going to be a thing yeah but I I love it I I think I think this is awesome um New Orleans is out again that’s a they’re out but you’re also talking about one of the smallest markets in the the NBA that also made the postseason it’s going to be very interesting to see is an interesting time for the NBA yes it is and I don’t want to get too deep in the weeds here but this is stuff that I think is fascinating they’re as we speak negotiating and in some reports closing on some uh big TV deals which they got to get the TV deals out of the way in order to get to expansion expansion’s expected to bring for two teams around1 billion doll in expansion fees so you got 10 billion sitting there that’s waiting on the TV stuff we’ve talked about this before it has become very clear in today’s day and age with streaming and turn in a negative way but it’s been based on schedule too it’s been a really difficult schedule they’ve done well they won 50 games last year yeah they won 50 games last year out of 162 so far this year theyve won 13 out of 30 they’re on a much better Pace yes but lot a lot a lot of season go number two please the A’s are winning a bit but their team batting average is 206 sa for out pitching is carrying this team sa their batting average is 206 206 the entire team is near the Mendoza Line now I understand it today’s day in Asian baseball it is different 206 their leading leading guy in batting average is batting 232 that right that’s not right let me re uh let me redo the thing Tyler nans batting 301 and then it goes to 250 our guy Ruiz that’s redon man shayer is bat 172 he’s before you get dividends which means you have to have that $500 million or 250 250 however they break it out you have to you have to leave that alone you don’t realize the money until you sell your shares that’s number one number two this isn’t the same as he’s going to try to evaluate this team from what we hear at $3 billion the team’s worth1 something billion doar by the way that’s for control rolling interest everybody has you have to remember there’s a difference in buying shares when you control the team and difference between buying shares and you’re just a glorified season ticket holder to sell the Kings Kings might be worth $3 billion let’s say but if the v’s staying in charge and you’re just buying in you’re probably buying in at closer to a$2 billion valuation it’ll be very interesting to see if John fiser comes down to reality and if he doesn’t then he can start gauging okay now I want you guys to broker the deal so could it be a precursor very much so it’s very doesn’t matter I I’m old enough to remember one year ago about now when Phoenix parted ways with Monty Williams the amount of people that went on radio media writing articles TV yes this is a Monumental mistake Monty’s one of the best coaches in the league that was kind of the universal thought yes I don’t know if he’d be any worse now but he had a terrible year with Detroit not his fault either but well hold on no he’s a bad coach now season but so it’s just such a funny process like he did have more Talent obviously in Phoenix and technically took that team further than Frank vogle did Frank vogle has won a championship he’s been able to coach four teams now right this may be his last chance I don’t know if he’ll get another Co I mean five’s a lot of coaching opportunities for a guy that’s got one ring he’s got to win a championship first oh wait he did oh was the bubble wait that doesn’t count oh it doesn’t count okay we we get a lot of our uh interesting parameters and then year he’d have the a very similar record you know the differences when Mike Brown came here the major difference when Mike Brown showed up I don’t know Damonte sabonis and dearen fox and the rest of the squad are you tell look do I think Mike Brown’s a better Coach than Luke Walton of course I do of course I do do you really think if Mike Brown was the coach for the Luke walers do do you think you’d see a massive wins and losses improvement with that roster it’s the roster stupid itrs that’s what I always say it’s the roster stupid it is Adrien Griffin had the best record in the Eastern Conference he got fired Doc Rivers came in actually has a worse record with the same team so these dumb teams with these dumb owners no disrespect to what Matt ish is new and as we talked about is gonna fall all over his tush the genie bus just isn’t good at owning yeah she’s not she’s just not a look at the track record she’s not a she’s not I wouldn’t say she’s Mark Davis but no it’s you know there’s a couple titles in there there’s a couple titles in there but you also look at the fact that you have a built-in Advantage being the Lakers my point is this no offense to Genie who from all accounts is a super cool person right from all accounts I’ve heard if jeie bus owns the Charlotte Hornets she’s about as good an owner as Michael Jordan was if jeie bust own owned the Kings own the named the team I could own the LA Lakers Jason and be a quote great owner that had a you’re play the Lakers are an automatic Advantage they people want to play there they want to play in LA they want postseason for the Sacramento Kings coming up at 7:30 that’s 15 minutes from now in the meantime three for madness Chris for LOD Mr uh assistant program director chrisad APD Chris rad the champ question one who is in a tougher spot the Lakers or the Suns I I think the suns are uh they’re both in tough spots U but the Lakers have more maneuverability let’s just be honest with the Suns they got they got yeah next to no maneuverability unless they they open up the I mean I gotta be honest man again and this is we we just have this conversation if I own the Suns if I’m mat ishbia I take a look at the landscape and I go okay uh the the only thing worse than making massive miscalculations is having the ego to not recognize and correct those massive miscalculations honest to God if I’m if I’m the owner of the Suns I I say to the GM everything’s on the table let’s see what we can get for Devin Booker let’s move let’s move some salaries and if that means they got to start all the way over they got to start all the way over again look at the games play they don’t have much higher of a ceiling than this and they don’t have draft picks they’ve got to restock those picks they got to get I mean the tax that alone they’re going to pay next year we said this yesterday as of right now they are on the hook for the most money of any team in the NBA it’s not sustainable unless you just want this mediocrity whereas the Lakers hey LeBron could leave ad’s got a ton of trade value they don’t they also don’t have a ton of picks but they’ve got more than the Suns do so yeah they’re both in tough spots Jason but I’d say the suns are in a tougher one yeah the suns are stuck I I think there’s no other way to say it I mean the the options for the suns are to try to move Durant to try to move Beal which I think will be difficult or Booker which I think they can get something for but then are you hurting your overall team so I think they are stuck uh they don’t have draft assets they’re in a really tough position the Lakers have a couple of outs here uh there’s already reports that D’Angelo Russell doesn’t want to return or if he opts out so then there’s some money there they can renounce the rights on several players I me they got a lot of free agents besides LeBron and then if LeBron decided not to come back now it’s not probably what they want right but that could start something new right away and give them a lot of flexibility so they have Avenues where the Suns I just don’t see it I think the suns are in a tough tough spot that’s really interesting Jason you mentioned that about D’Angelo Russell who I don’t think Lakers want him back I think they’d welcome him opting out this is interesting though he’d be opting out a contract next year 18.7 million i i i instinctively before I even left was like there’s no way he’s opting out I don’t care what the number is I because he didn’t have a market but yeah he does he does yeah and I think he I think he yeah he could probably get a 48360 sure but yeah you’ve got Christian Wood Jackson Hayes and cam reddish all also have uh player opt outs as do as does LeBron James yeah I don’t know if I’m the Lakers I think there is a part of course you don’t want LeBron to opt out but it’s because of the offc Court more than anything but I can think of worse things than if if D’Angelo and LeBron opt out that 60 million right there and you’re you’re looking at Anthony Davis hachimura Austin Reeves Gabe Vincent Jared Vanderbilt as kind of your your core along with reddish and and Christian Wood I mean that’s a lot of bench guys right but you go out you find some money you you make a few moves the worst things that can happen because again this team like the Suns this ain’t it man you got a ton of games out of Anthony Davis you got a ton of games out of LeBron just like the sun’s got a ton of games out of Durant that you ain’t getting better than that next year yeah and a lot of what the Lakers did in the off season I did actually like but they didn’t get the fruits of that like Vincent didn’t come really around till the very end of the season Vanderbilt’s been out the back half of the Year Christian Wood’s been out like I don’t know if they would have beat Denver anyway and they made it a very tough series even though it went five games it would have been interesting to see that Lakers Squad fully healthy but they didn’t have it and that’s something that could you know they could lose ad and LeBron at any time question question two please question two the Pelicans also got swept why are we not talking about their situation yeah I mean you know you talk about the the Lakers who lost in five the sons that got swept it’s a fair question well hold on the Pelicans got swept uh why aren’t we talking about them well I think we’re not talking about them because the Pelicans to me are more are are maybe the biggest Enigma of the postseason and yes part of it is we do a show in Sacramento and we’re 0 and six to this team I I appreciate Oklahoma City and I understand matchups but honestly I look at the Pelicans and I go okay well what do you do if you’re the Pelicans okay CJ McCollum no Zion just got to be healthy gotta figure out valent chunis valent chunis is a free but I mean my gosh he’s a player he’s a he’s a big side of beef in the middle Ingram herb Jones I look at their starting lineup I look at their bench with guys like Troy Trey Murphy and Dyson Daniels and Larry Nance Jr I I look at that team and I go that that is a that is a good team and I don’t see many huge holes in that team of course they could use XYZ but it’s not like the Lakers are sons and I think that’s why we don’t talk about them they’re middle of the the road when it comes to salary uh they’ve got some great young players they got a great vet like CJ McCollum I wouldn’t I I hope the Pelicans if I’m a Pelicans fan I would hope that they don’t get nervous and start doing stupid things yeah I mean really to me you know different than like a LeBron Le team or a KD Le team Zion is the piece yeah and he’s still very young you got to you got to get him healthy you got to get him and he he had you know he played enough games this year he got hurt at the wrong time at the end um so I wouldn’t be surprised if they kind of run the bulk of that back and figure out what they can do in a full year of all that again I mean honestly isn’t that a situation I know that fans tend to be uh impatient and certainly here you know there’s a lot of call for this but if if I’m them I do run it back I Reign Jonas Valen junas to a similar deal longer term uh I don’t I mean maybe make some if there’s opportunities there make some trades around the edges yeah but you go in next year with McCollum Ingram Jones Williamson uh and valent junis you look at the standings this year and what they did and the fact that they were 40 they were one game away from a 50- win team they need continuity yeah they’re not broken I they’re not broken at all and honestly I don’t think I’m telling Tales out of school but I I I I obviously Zion’s the key there but if you have relative Health on that team and they’re together for another two three years I could absolutely see these guys being literally a championship Contender this is a hell of a team especially defensively I wouldn’t touch it’s it’s it’s apples got the parts hand grenades compared to the the the Suns and lers also what kind of helped them was they were on NBA TV for one of the playoffs right yeah exactly that’s it’s just like oh yeah I guess they didn’t win yeah that’s true they’re not exactly front and center of course if this exact roster was in in LA right it’d be a whole different ball game 49 and 33 were the Pelicans of course they were 43 and 33 if the Kings didn’t exist stupid number three question three of the two who is more likely to go Darin ham or Frank Vogel I think vogle I think they’re both gone probably vogle just because there’s been all an allout Revolt uh in that locker room against him I don’t know that it’s necessarily I think there’s respect for Darin ham I don’t think I don’t it doesn’t sound like the sons have a lot of respect for Frank Vogel there was a there was a note I forget who wrote it but uh of the Suns players and said that that few weeks ago vogle lost in on the team and H or postgame or whatever and had a closed door locker room thing you could hear him yelling and one of the guys was saying dude everybody was rolling their eyes it it looked like it was forced and I was honest to God biting my tongue trying not to laugh at some point it was almost comical when you get to that point where your coach is dressing you down and you’re trying to not laugh and you think it’s fake you’ve you have lost the locker room I ain’t saying it’s his fault because it’s not necessarily but he’s lost the locker room so I think Vogal for sure is gone but I I think they both are too many Rumblings for vogle right Durant complaining publicly I guess a little bit about the offense where he felt his role wasn’t really uh unlocking all of his skill set and it just feels again about being the team that’s stuck what do you change you change the coach whether it’s right or wrong I think he’s I think of the two I would say vog is more in trouble I think so too yeah I do think at the end sabonis will get I agree with you but if he’s here for like if he has years like this for let’s say four five years yeah he he’s D with dearon uh he spoke about not just one but a couple of things that are heading into the offseason that are that are in his head one it’s like how many how how much better can we get as players who are here you know what what could happen as far as trades or draft or or what may happen um I mean I I look at what we have and I think what like what could have been what could what could we have done better uh throughout this season and obviously there are things you know if we make our free throws you know we probably have 51 wins like it’s it’s small that start to add up and start to Snowball Effect um into a season and now we’re looking at it like damn we didn’t make the playoffs we weren’t that good of a team uh which could be true which could not be true um but what can we what can we do next year um to put us in a better spot and uh those are obviously we have to look ourselves in the mirror um as players what what could we have done better and then you know obviously the front office you know what what do we bring in um to be a better team to compete in this hard conference and uh that’s pretty much it a lot to think about yeah you know the thing I was thinking about with dearn fox everybody can always improve and there’s still room for improvement for him which is great but I feel like to me Dave when I think about Daren Fox the only thing I really would and it feels like it’s nitpicking a little bit because it’s not strictly dearen but the little things he’s talking about whether it is free throws whether stuff we talk about like okay the I don’t know eight games we would say that like come on really Portland Charlotte Detroit you’re G lose those dear’s a part of the team he’s not the only guy but when you’re kind of the guy I feel like you can do your part to make sure those don’t happen like dear could go you know what we’re terrible tonight against Portland I got it I’m gonna take it I I got you tonight like The reason we won tonight was because dearn was that good everybody else would not here I don’t know what happened to them or it’s his approach his mindset again it’s not I’m not putting the blame of it on him but I feel like that’s one little thing that I think if he and there’s no player in the league that’s ever had a season where well they won every game they were supposed to it just doesn’t happen that way but they had too many and as all we heard all of these talks this year from different people post I think the universal voices coming out of the locker room seem to be Malik and Trey ly yes and if Darren’s not the voice I’m not gonna say hey he’s got to be the voice yeah you be who you are where he can do it I think is he’s really good at picking his spots and letting the game come to him and then like okay I’m going to go but I think on those nights if he could just recognized it a little bit earlier maybe this is being too nitpicky on him specifically but I feel like he’s that good where he could just be like yeah let’s we’re not scre around today we are going to beat Portland and I’m make sure you guys know it and this game’s gonna be over at halftime and I don’t think he does that enough again I am lasering in on one thing for him yeah that’s what we’re doing but I I don’t see a lot of he’s got it all I mean he really does he’s that close to really being I mean I think he is a superstar but like the they need playoff success and all that but he’s a good defensive player he’s a gifted offensive player sure there’s all you know fre three-pointers got better free throws could be better but he’s kind of got it it’s just that would be the one thing I would point at and again it’s not strictly him but as the team’s best player I feel like that’s the kind of night where there’s like that mentality I guess is what I’m searching for and you know the people we recite and maybe this is completely unfair like the Kobes and the LeBron’s are just like I’m going to yeah we won by one I’m mad we should have won by 10 oh we won by 10 we should have won by 20 we won by like they never give up on that and I think I think Darren’s got some of that in him I don’t see it all the time I think an interesting thing to ask him would be to take him back to your point to like you know those times where he doesn’t get a call or he’s fou hard and we always say oh you don’t want to make the Aaron Fox m is it physically sustainable for him to do that for 36 minutes it’s a great kind of what you’re saying that again and I maybe I’m being too unfair but like it may not be I sometimes I feel like Daren might see like wait we’re down 25 and here he goes here we go why why was why so long of a leash like right now sometimes it might happen sooner where someone says something and like oh you’re talking to dear and that’s the wrong thing to do and dear’s engaged but you know I think he’s like like a lot of us like showing up at the AR like yeah we’ll probably beat Portland tonight you probably will uh oh well it’s eight that’s fine we’ll get him oh it’s 16 oh 22 let’s go it’s like you went and you lost by four it’s like again not strictly on dear totally get it but I feel like he’s the one that might be able to impact that kind of day more and they had that more this year than other years well and when you look at the all-time grades and maybe you’re not an all-time great but you can think like them yeah uh I I’m of the feeling like Michael Jordan is is the gold standard I think Michael Jordan went into every game okay he’s like the greatest competitor also that’s it yes do you remember the movie okay this I’m gonna I’m gonna pull this off I’m going to compare Michael Jordan to the water boy okay you remember the water boy where Adam Sandler’s character was getting ready to rush the quarterback and in his mind all of a sudden the quarterback’s face would change and it would be like his mom saying you know girls are the devil or the one guy who calls him needle D needle right I felt like Michael Jordan went into every single game and found yeah somebody to light him even if it didn’t exist well Jason like some of the stuff he made up he literally would make it up in his head he would he would dig out an article from two years ago where Xavier McDaniel once said he thinks that his team could beat the bowls in the finals and now it was on Michael to make like that’s almost a I mean it really is almost a psychotic level of competition Kobe Bryant’s probably the guy right behind I don’t whether it’s Michael Kobe or let’s dial it down for a little little bit Tim Duncan Dwayne Wade I don’t think any of them ever went into a game thinking we should beat these guys tonight like you said I think they all went into a game Thinking okay we’re coming out like we’re down 20 uh and we’re going to be disciplined and stick to our offense and we’re not going to rush would dearon I think you I think you nailed it can dearon Fox play like mad dearon for 36 minutes and if so if he could if he said yeah I think I can I just got to condition more this that it’s a big toll on my body he’s he’s not a huge guy he he hits the ground 10 20 times a game but then the other question Jason let me throw back at you let’s say dear’s in this in this room and he says you know I think I can and I’m gonna come out and I’m gonna try to do that next year and then dearen walks out and Mike Brown comes in we sit on and talk with him do you think from a organizational standpoint is there a chance that angry dearen who can take over games who plays like that for 36 would that make the team worse overall because now all of a sudden you got dear and the and the guys instead of a team it’s dear and they’re now the news and they’re the Pips right you know they’re they’re I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not yeah no I know it’s a fair point to bring up and I I don’t know if there’s a fine line in between where it’s the competitive Drive lifts what’s the phrasing we try to get there the ships Le lift all shores so I mean I think I think it’s contagious when you see d Avon Mitchell out there guarding on ball so intensely like the guy could barely even dribble in function and then all of a sudden oh I’m not going to be the wing over here that just lets my guy straight line drive past me it’s like he’s given everything well at least I can give what I’ve got it’s not as good as DAV on but my version of All Out me is gonna be pretty good right yes and so I think that’s what I’m talking about from de’arra and and and again it’s it’s very little things it’s Nuance I think to dearn it might be do you think this is uh defense mechanism a little bit D like when he didn’t make the All-Star Game it was such a I mean I don’t really care I went last year and he may not really care right but also to go wait do you and is just like yeah I mean I mean if you really want to put him on the psychologist couch it it it and by the way this is like such a stretch and such a I’ve always wondered how much the uh loss at Kentucky hurt him when he was is arm and you know bam out bio crying I mean it wouldn’t be the biggest stretch in the world to say is they’re a part of dear that shut off that night that went never again am I gonna allow myself yeah I’m never going to be this vulnerable yeah because then there’s regular season games sometimes where again I’m taking him for postgame word which is all we could do but sometimes you say stuff just because you’re asked questions and you’re like I don’t really it’s like well because I felt like sometimes he’s been a little Cavalier like yeah I mean it’s 20-point leads it happens all the time right yeah but we didn’t want to hear that tonight and I’m not saying you have to do that for me but like are you do you really believe that or is there something more you’re saying in the locker room so again this is real Nuance with him because I think I mean I think he’s just about at that sweet spot that you get to a career where he’s got incredible Talent he’s now gone through all the experience he’s really in the pr like they’ve got primed dearn for a couple years now where he’s not young he’s not old he’s lived everything now he’s been a playoff guy he’s missed he’s been burned he’s been cheered yes he’s experienced everything but being traded and I don’t want that like he’s he’s done everything basically as a pro obviously he’s never won a championship but I mean he’s he’s been on a bad team he’s tasted some success I I don’t know it’s really small details with him for me I know personally for me I want after tough losses I know in my mind and maybe it’s just because I’m that way and play I want them to be pissed off in the media room I want them to be angry in the shower I want them to get in their car and on the way home take the long way like Rocky and Rocky 4 where you know the music’s playing it’s Montage he’s just thinking about stuff but these guys have it’s not just their physical health it is their mental health and I know a lot of people scoff at that but there are just some people that aren’t they don’t want to go there yeah and I think you’re and like me and the compe like the competitors of watching this team play CU we’re not involved but like they had enough of those games early on the season when they played the rockets and they lost badly in Houston they played them two days later I would love that post yeah I can’t you know what I can’t wait till for Tuesday right I cannot wait for Tuesday and a little bit of Venom behind it you’re like oh sure oh right and then Tuesday came and they lost by more you’re like or Pelicans got they are not beating us the sixth time all right they might but you kind of want to hear that again they’ve got to be who they are I’m not you say you want to say but I I feel like sometimes this team misses that a little bit I think it also needs to be said too that what we’re talking about is philosophical and full of conjecture what we don’t know and again I’m I’m being totally yes what they say I don’t know that what what dear let’s we’re talking about dear I don’t know what he says in the locker room yeah he may be throwing chairs I don’t know I think so you don’t know for all we know he gets home and and and he and his lovely wife and family they he hey man switch it off like come on Let It Go like we we we we know what we know what these players show us yeah that doesn’t necessarily just cuz we say we’d love to see him maybe a little bit more emotional in the yeah that doesn’t mean he’s not that means he might not be but also he might just be showing us what he wants to show us well and there’s been plenty of people Demarcus like I’d like him to yeah temper it down a little bit it’s like well okay I mean who what do you want right God now you got me thinking about what if if Fox had Marcus’s emotions feels like too much but then we want more you know you can’t win he’s also a vet in this league man he is off he is really truly a vet vet in this league he ain’t old but he is a vet and look what I what I always find amazing about these athletes we’ll we we’ll take a break here and finish our our uh evaluation what I always find amazing about these athletes Jason you see this a lot in boxing you know it’s like the story of Conor McGregor and I’ll make this short but you know Conor McGregor was on welfare you know people don’t realize that whether you’re a fan of his or not he came from some pretty poor roots and a lot of these Fighters do and when you have a dream of making it and becoming a champion that’s what gets you up at three in the morning in December when it’s snowing that’s what makes you drink the four raw eggs like Rocky did that’s what makes you run do the road work do the gym work and all the stuff you know we see these guys get in the ring and fight for 8 10 12 rounds to a person when I used to cover MMA solidly they all say the fight’s the fun part that’s the reward for the training camp and The Cutting of weight let’s switch that to basketball now you know you’re you’re killing yourself trying to make it in the NBA as a youngster trying to prove yourself and trying to get to that level well in boxing a lot of times we see champions win the title and again Fighters will say the same thing winning the title is nowhere near as difficult as defending the title and part of the reasoning is that it’s a whole different thing when you wake up and you’re in your studio apartment with $18 in the bank and you got to meet your trainer who’s volunteering his time to do road work with you and then go to the gym now when you have $17 million in the bank and you’re waking up on silk sheets with the model next to you that you just had a baby with and your mcmansion and your Ferrari out front and you’ve got to meet now your team of trainers to go do all the road work and nasty stuff well that’s a little bit of a different ball game and of course that’s going to apply to basketball baseball or football once you’ve made it once you have generational wealth it’s always amazing to me that guys like Fox guys like sabonis by all appearances they still work just as hard like I’ve gotten better every year um so why why do I think that my growth just stunts now I mean I still have things that I can work towards I’ve had stretches where I look really good I’ve had stretches where I wasn’t good so um you want to obviously have those stretches be longer for a period of time but obviously knowing that you’re going to have a slump here and there but I mean I work I work at my game I work at my game every day um regardless if we just come in here and get shots regardless we come in here and go live I I work so um I I don’t feel like I’m I’m done growing as a player it’s a very Frank and candid yeah I enjoy hearing Dean Fox talk I do too when he opens up his IQ is off the charts both basketball and as a human being yeah and he has a very unique you know like could dearen Fox ever be a color commentator probably although I don’t think he’d want it seem like he would but I I I I I mean he’s a guy that I think would fit in very well in a suit and tie and uh glasses uh sitting across like so likable he’s very likable and he’s he’s got a very good way of and it’s it’s an innate Talent of breaking down high level conversations into layman’s terms uh I would you know what would be a great podcast honestly I’d love it would be dearen Fox and Harrison Barnes on each side of the table in glasses and Suits having a a a highlevel conversation about the game of basketball no drama none of that garbage just breaking stuff down it’s a very high I and then add in guys like domas like the Kings have a very high IQ team and dearen said a lot of what you and I were just talking about he kind of answered it he believes there’s a different level to his game yeah and I think the one thing I was so excited about last season that did happen was he got to the postseason and I thought just he showed an ability in his career at that time for the big moments game-winning shots being there in the fourth quarter last year getting clutch Player of the Year thought he would be good in the playoffs in the big stage and he was he was really good against the Warriors he didn’t have that opportunity this year to get to the postseason but I feel like some of the stuff that if you don’t watch A Team every day and like some people now going wow SGA is really good yeah he is yeah or Anthony Edwards is really good yeah I think people would say that about dearen Fox more and more if they got a chance to see him or see him in a series and he could have gamewinners or 40-point games just I think that’s who he is I think he’s there for the biggest moments as far as a season wi numerically uh career highs in field goals made career high by almost double in three-pointers made he jumped from 119 last year to 214 this year and he improved his efficiency on last year by four and a half% that’s big I I want to repeat that he made 214 threes to 119 last year and improved his efficiency by four and a half points per game because there was a time he said man imagine if darar can get a jump shot he’s got it he’s got it now the problem is uh he also dropped his free throw percentage by almost 4% per game from last year uh and by the way his career average is 736 uh he shot 738 this last year but he had been making strides to bring that up uh career highs in rebounds uh he was actually down a little bit in assists but still respectable uh um up in steals up oh yeah career-high in steals his previous career high was his second year in the league and I’m going off of totals here by the way he had 133 his second year in the league steals that is he had 150 this year he had 45 blocks his second year he had 31 this year which is second and then of course a career-high in points scored and average he upped his points 1.6 points per game uh from last year he almost and Jason he went from 1.1 to and even two steals per game year so there we we we talked about it and it’s a little bit we have to be fair you know we said this about Phoenix like look at all the games you got out of Durant look at all the games with the Lakers they got out of Anthony Davis and LeBron look at their numbers if you’re look there are there are um ways for dearen Fox and damont sabonis to improve they are the unquestioned dynamic duo two best players on the team and to be honest with you it’s one of the best Duos in the entire league there are things they can work on to improve they said it themselves but an overall grading of this team to me is actually one of those keep it simple stupid things though there are ways for them to grow the Sacramento Kings are where they are because and I mean this in a positive way dearn Fox and damont sabonis who had fantastic years last year who did their work they improved on great years the year before they made the playoffs went to the off season they took it to the next level you want to blame what happened on this year on if you you need to blame someone you’re blaming Harrison Barnes you’re blaming Kevin herder and whoever else filled in at the two uh you’re blaming the bench you’re blaming the coaching I’m blaming everything before I blam dear and Fox at sa bonis not that they’re not blameless I know everyone right now is thinking yeah but what about those free throws missed or what about the well you know domos missing the I’m s I’m not saying they’re blameless I’m saying for a 50,000 foot view over the entire season they are the alpha and the Omega and if everybody else took their game to the level from last year to this year that sabonis and fox did this team I very confident Nal is still playing right now but whether it’s Denver whether it’s Oklahoma City whether it’s Minnesota whether it’s the Clippers or The Mavericks it’s a series it’s an absolute Series right now that’s where the other players have to step their game up yeah support these guys right because they’re giving their all yeah I I mean I I’m really still to the point where I’m so incredibly thankful that fox is here that he’s wanted to stay here that I think he wants to stick this out um I hope they can add that fits him and this team the best way possible and they know they’ve got two really good pieces in Fox and sabonis and I think they believe they’ve got one in Keegan you keep Malik monk I mean that’s a really good foundation it’s 100% you just got to get the other stuff right or get more you know if herder has the year he had two years ago that’s a better team if some of the offseason moves fit in better than they did maybe this last year again I don’t think they’re far off but they’re off enough to where you can’t just go oh they got it figured out they still they still got to have improvements here now notice I didn’t say Malik monk in the blame part Malik monk had a fantastic year however if I’m Malik monk hopefully he’s coming back I would like to see Malik monk make a little bit more of a defensive commitment that’s fair and efficiency some nights it was a little bit erratic but I mean he had an awesome year he had a great year he had a great year I’m saying we’re nitpicking right I’d like to see Malik lock up a little bit more in the I’d like to see him have that same passion defensively but a lot of it I think with Malik it’s not passion I think it’s actually technique and I I would love to see if he comes back I’d love to see Doug Christie go wherever Malik is fly out to whatever Malik goes in the South to play golf and uh and work with him on those that defensive position because I do think there’s an at least average if not above average defender in that body um we’ll take a break when we come back let’s get back to the playoffs going right now and when we talk about the West we talk about balanced parody but was it balanced and was unfortunate to miss the playoffs but this year they there could be now look all said and done we’ve been doing this a long time Jason it’s still highly likely it’s going to be Denver and Boston all where I have all kinds of fun with all this crap and event you know first round’s neat and cute and all that but in the end it’s going to be Denver and Boston but you still got you still got OKC you’ve still got Minnesota you’ve still got these smaller markets that are in there and this thing could get interesting you could have a Boston OKC you could have a I still think the West was kind of a a slaughterhouse this year where they beat each other up but in the end in the playoffs you’re seeing a lot of these teams mature right in front of your eyes yeah and it’s been the younger teams that have some good talent overall depth and and offense defensive combo that’s been able to withstand kind of the star power of what the Warriors can provide what the Lakers can provide of certainly what the Suns could provide now the Kings and the Pelicans were the two younger versions of teams that missed out yes in that group but all that and it’s like Denver’s got the the perfect mix where they’ve got they’re not old they’re not young but they’ve got the one of the best players they’ve not the best player yes and then Jamal Murray is like the most unique player he’s never been an Allstar never um he’s never made an all NBA he’s always thought of as good but when you get to the post season man he made two basically game-winning shots against the Lakers to knock them out he’s been big he’s had 50o games in the playoffs he’s he’s been a great postseason player and he’s a good regular season player but you’re right let me ask you this this isn’t going to be perfect but find good topic there’s been some broadcasting shakeups in the NFL now the NFL today on CBS Jason um no longer is gonna have Boomer ascion or Phil Sims they are now adding Matt Ryan who will go with Bill coward Nate burlson and JJ Watts part-time that’s interesting Boomer and Phil are Main Stays and I think they’re both not always right but excellent analysts but you also feel this as a part of you know are they BAS basically saying H you know this is just the natural progression of getting younger feel I mean I don’t know what else it would be feels like that’s what it is and I don’t know that that’s necessarily better now we’ve talked about this at length before in an analyst position I love the like for example Matt Ryan why are you why are you putting him on the on put him in the booth keep him in the booth when you have recently retired quarterbacks it’s the Tony Romo effect they’re invaluable and be able to call out coverages and understand what other teams are doing because they they’ve been playing against them I don’t know if that’s a preference and maybe a better fit for him to be in studio as opposed to at the games I don’t know I don’t know what he what he would want but obviously he’s gonna be on that desk with uh with James Brown and the rest of the crew Jason Kelce will be added to Monday night countdown that’s not a surprise he was a hot free agent right very much so in his podcast with his brother who just by the way re-upped at about two years 17 million per uh Travis Kelce uh their their podcast is incredibly successful and I think I read also Travis Kel’s about to start hosting a quiz show I think I actually read this um so they’re preparing for life after uh and I think that’s a good addition Bill Bellic this is another interesting thing I don’t know how many I don’t really watch the Pat McAfee show it’s not nothing I just it’s it’s on right now but we we work at the same time as Pat but uh I don’t know if you caught any of the clips of Bill bellich on with Pat McAfee for the NFL draft he’s fantastic you you would you would on one hand you would look at Bill bellic’s press conferences and think oh he’s not I’d rather watch fly’s you know mate than listen to Bill bellich I don’t know Simone it just came up but if you’ve you we played a clip not that long ago of Bill bellachic being asked a fairly innocuous question about long Snappers and special teams you may remember this Jason I think it was a seven minute answer that he went through just just breaking the whole thing down from a CEO perspective as to why it’s so important there really a cool insight into how he thinks he’s obviously an incredible football M I heard him on with Pat McAfee and instantly I was like you know what Bill bellich might be the best analyst alive right now he is enthralling and I think part of it Jason to be fair is that we’re so used to on to Cincinnati right that see he’s got that EF Hutton thing going for him I don’t know if that’s going to last but I really am looking forward to seeing him be a part of these shows you know who I felt that same way about that I’ve I don’t think was quite in the same ilk as bill bichi with the media but could be a little bit uh uh sticky let’s say is uh Nick Sabin Nick Sabin on the draft coverage was really good phenomenal and I think in college game day it’s gonna be a he’s gonna be great I think he’s GNA be amazing I think I think these guys you know look you gota you got to be a certain way on one side um you know I understand that but also uh I think they said this on the air sounds like they’re trying to work something out where bellich chick will join Pat McAfee on Mondays and then the Manning cast so um yeah yeah for and then on the Manning cast as well so we’ll see it hey look Bill’s not gonna coach this year SC it how much time do you spend on these shows at all like the pre I’m not a big you know when NFL Sunday it’s pretty much 10 o’clock is the start the Red Zone starts um I I I’m not as much I I know who all the people are I have nothing against all those pre and post and half shows on TV I just it’s really the games for me it’s changed for me if I’m being honest it’s changed for me especially in the last year but really over the years and if I’m being perfectly transparent it’s kind of soccer’s fault because on Sundays now what I generally do is I you know you and I are both up at 6:00 a.m or earlier every day um I’m generally watching a Premier League game I just have that on as my new background and then I’m setting my football lineups and I’m I’m ready to go at 10: a.m. uh so no pregame shows that not a lot um which I’m not yeah I just am not you know I now the pregame shows are always on in my house because my wife rolls out around 89 am and she like and this is just different audiences she likes the she loves the pregame shows because she likes the the the human interest stories you know let’s go visit with linebacker Fred McGee as he tends to his sister who’s been in the hospital for for four months and then after heroically saving a Bus full of children right and and and there’s here’s the story yeah and and you get the behind the scenes and and and all of that and there there’s an audience for that I’m just you know it’s interesting I I want to know I want to know from my pregame show this I want to first and foremost I want injuries I want to know I want to know fantasy for fantasy and impact the game both exactly I want to know who’s hurt who’s probably gonna play who is questionable that’s been upgraded and then I want to know Trends and tendencies like I want to know but that’s like the shefter the Glazer the you know the Insiders yes that’s absolutely correct and let’s be honest you can watch a two-hour pregame show or you can and this is where Twitter’s great you can just have alerts set up for the shfs of the world and the Blazers of the world and you’re going to get all the all the good nooks and crannies without having to watch the other stuff yeah it’s weird like TNT for basketball now we’re talking TNT like I I just that’s an entertaining show for me but like the NBA on ESPN or whatever ABC when they’ve got you know the panel and Sten and will all all fine people but like when w is up there I feel like there’s a breaking story right and if he talks I’m like oh oh contracts talks struggling with blah blah blah or this coach might be yes oh like I always want to listen to that but the other stuff that’s fine it’s predicting who’s gonna win or some theatrics that’s whatever that’s fine well and and and you know you mentioned wo and I kind of mentioned this the other day sort of in in in sort of in just but I I want to expand it I’m really serious like w is built an amazing brand he is the news breaker and Shams is right there with him I don’t know if it’s something ESPN asked him to do I don’t know if he’s doing it to Curry favor with agents that may be the the what what’s going on too but if I was his agent I would tell him straight up bro you need to cut out the like Fred Smith was optioned to the G league in fact you need to cut out the the the the draft tweets and I’m not talking about if he’s gonna predict the draft pick I’m talking about darkos schmit as you know agreed to come on into the NBA and enter the draft I don’t I don’t what I need out of w is I need in breaking news from injury stuff breaking news when it comes to player movement coaches fired Awards all that stuff I don’t need the periphery because eventually I’m be like okay I’m getting 90 notifications from wday because I have them on uh on alerts but it’s different for the sport you’re right Jason Inside the NBA is an outlier because you’re right that is an I could actually watch ENT I could watch it like a sitcom right you know what I’m saying when it comes to football pream like I said I want you know rankings uh give me power rankings give me injuries give me trends I need to know look if if and if it’s postgame highlights just highlights abut what happen in these games that’s it but everybody’s viewing habits I think are different not that we’re not similar but my viewing habits for the NFL are are have been pretty entrenched for a couple years now I I will watch on on two TVs I will have one TV on a red zone and the volume up on Red Zone I will have the other TV on whatever the featured game is and I’ll have the volume down when the 49ers come on I switch that I mute Red Zone and I put the 49ers on the main TV and that’s how I watch that I don’t if it wasn’t for the 49ers like when we get to Monday night Thursday Night Football my appetite’s there but I don’t know how people can watch just one game on a Sunday anymore with everything else going on like I need to know who what’s going and a lot of that’s fantasy but a lot of that’s just add I’m trained to watch it like that if there was and football is built to do that you can’t really do that in in baseball you know it’s difficult I know they’ve tried with the round the horn or whatever but dude it’s you just never know when anyone’s gonna score right um and then basketball everybody’s always scoring yes you know but perfect for football football is perfect for which is why one of the big reasons it does so well we discount betting and fantasy and all but it’s also the way the game is presented right that is different as well also the time of year man there’s nothing like right when it’s fall it’s crispy outside maybe you’re smoking some meat at 9900 amm you got a chili on out there but it’s does one stick out to me like Adam archet is actually a really underrated analyst I think I think he’s done a great job but is he enough to be my favorite probably not is Daryl Johnston my favorite analyst right now or is that just because I usually watch Fox games and I’m used to Daryl Johnson um I know what I know what’s easy for me is the rules guy give give me my Herrera yeah okay uh give me Aaron Andrews on the sidelines but you know it could be it could be Aaron Andrews it could be Pam Oliver uh it could be number of them in fact our good buddy Joseph benovitz his wife Megan oliv is now doing fox games she’s she’s crossed over from the UFC and she’s doing uh quite well um if I gotta make a call I feel like whatever decision I make is going to be the wrong one but but honestly ly I I give me I love me some Mark schare so give me Kevin harand and Mark schare Aaron Andrews on the Seline and Mike Pereira that would be my booth Mark shareth big Smiths fan God anybody uh studio studio is a little bit different um mix and match yeah yeah yeah I I I think so first off when it comes to uh the studio shows you know Chris Fowler isn’t name that comes to mind because he does such a great job however I still think of Chris valor’s College you know um I prob the the right move if I’m being honest uh oh now I’m back to you know Troy amman’s actually a really good analyst Chris Collinsworth gets a lot of crap but he’s actually a really good anal yes all right okay I’m you can keep here’s my candidates so I’m stuck my play byplay I’m between I’m gonna pick someone that’s not incredibly popular for some reason to me I saw I almost picked him Joe Buck I almost picked him or ion Eagle but I’m probably gonna lean Iron Eagle even though I feel like that’s a tough one but I’m gonna go ion eag let me ask you something about ion Eagle real quick here’s here’s where I’m stuck with Iron Eagle Iron Eagle is a about as close to a perfect play-by-play guy as you can get I have nothing bad to say I’m not this is you want the flawed a little bit a little bit I is Ion it’s gonna sound weird but you’re gonna know what I’m talking about I think Ian Eagle to me is almost too good too Flawless and I don’t I’m not going to say he doesn’t Elevate the call but like he’s got so he’s so witty he’s right it’s I just he’s he he’s he speaks to me I really like yeah yeah yeah he I can’t but I’m going to pick I Eagle yeah okay and my analyst I had three names written down I had Collinsworth I had Aman and actually I really like Kirk herb Street I do you’re right I don’t feel like him without Michaels though is as good for whatever reason two very good entities on their own but that and I don’t know if that’s an Al or so it is an Al honestly I would herb Street and Fowler are really good I would rather put herb street with well obviously that there’s that there’s College of course that’s the best one would put I would put herb street with either too I think herb Street and too would Mike too would be really really good uh and I think herb I actually think herb Street and Harlin would be really good too yes they would yeah yeah yeah but I I hear you so I’m gonna go I I’ll I’ll make a pick I’ll go ion eagle and and Aman or Collinsworth um I’ll go ion eagle and Aman because I think Aman is a little less um like I think Eagle could maybe pull a little bit more personality out of Aman I think I I know what I was trying to say okay on I Eagle I feel like the right call in a weird way is uh did you go buck and Aman no I’m gonna do eagle and a I think buck and a here’s the thing about buck and Aman this helps to make my point about ion eagle with with no disrespect to ion Eagle buck and a minute automatically feels like a huge game I don’t know that if I hear Ian Eagle I get that same like oh Goosebumps it’s it’s it’s Pat Summerall it’s brunt musur that a time thing Jim Nance it might it might be he do like now he’s doing the national game every year for college basketball and he does high-profile NL it might be it it might Su areall Summerall Al Michaels well now too’s done the suay night game which is so now he feels like and for me too feels bigger than eagle and I’m not saying too’s better right it’s the platform you it’s the platform and you tune in and you’re like oh like when you when it was summer all and Madden for your old you were like this is a game it could be the the Niners and the Lions back when they both it’s a game right I I anyways go ahead I uh let’s see sideline I put I’m a really big fan of Lisa Salters and Tom raldi they super I was thinking Aaron Andrews but I’m gonna go mix those two with Salters and Tom ronaldi and then Studio I think my favorite Studio host by far is Scott Vel I think incredible I’d pick Lewis rck I think he’s just brilliant he’s got breaks down games he’s got the GM angle former player I like Nate burison too um I don’t know who else I’d have in studio kind of to me studio I want maybe even Rex like I want to be entertained um learn a little something have some fun it’s not too serious that kind of thing but there’s good choices there are good choices those are very good choices um I see you got James Brown up there he’s good Kurt men’s good I was just it’s they’re all good to me it’s James Brown Kurt men I just like Van Pelt so I don’t disagree with you think he’s brilliant I would probably go James Brown Bill Cower bill bellich I have high hopes for him and Jimmy Johnson okay coaching I’ve changed my you made me change what was your studio again James Brown Greg olssen was really good I think Tom Brady will be Tom I think Tom Brady is going to be fantastic I do I think he’s just that polished and and it’s also the you know he’s still close enough to the game yeah his IQ is off the charts and Romo slid to me because he still has some good stuff but like I think the Super Bowl was a classic like there’s just some times where his mistakes are are pretty big well we’ve talked about it I I think there’s a I think there’s a there’s a there’s a line from the further Tony Romo gets away from the game as a player the worst he’s gotten and I think he’s got to find his second footing because he is a good analyst but he can’t rely on that part of his game anymore which was such a huge part and then yes the the stepping on the calls during the Super Bowl all that that that didn’t work out well I do think Brady will be good I do think bellich will be good I did think Greg Olsen was was very very good um if you can learn something and be entertaining at the same time I think to me that’s The Sweet Spot yeah and don’t be cute you don’t have to be cute yeah but if you if it is like and it’s not be cute for everybody but some you’re like hey that just that that lands well for for me sure but I don’t know what that is well like when they when they talk about like when they’re all in the studio and they’re talking about players getting mossed and Randy Moss is on the panel and everyone’s laughing and showing like it’s almost like a shaon yeah those are funny anecdotes and by the way Randy Moss is also I did not expect Randy Moss to be a good analyst Randy Moss is an excellent excellent analyst um I I like that personality and I like when players are kind of like Richard Sherman good analyst uh I I I don’t mind you I had all coaches on my my my studio show but honestly there’s also an argument too really that the setup should be the setup really should be for football if if they were taking cues is uh who’s your Ernie Johnson right and who’s your Shaq who’s your Kenny you know Shaq is uh you know the big the big man whatever Charles is the comedic relief Kenny is the professor EJ is the quarterback so what is that equivalent for the NFL right you know who who is your Kenny Smith Nate maybe Nate burlson uh who is your who is your comic relief who who’s an ex-player that isn’t afraid to laugh at themselves that’s currently working in those that that that that type of thing well they not in the same way but I think the Mannings make fun of themselves but they’re not their own thing yeah I’m trying to think if there’s a you know the perfect would be an X like line backer or someone that was just feared in the NFL that you know like dick buckus was a really good one yeah he played that role as a he played that fantastic yeah
