beautifully so has Brooks kepka he’ll tee off shortly in the final uh group of three in our modified shotgun start the other 51 tea off very shortly and one of those chaps is Matthew wolf pretty high profile falling out between the two and wolf was traded by Brooks from smashed to the range goats looks like the trade has worked out for everybody but that has to be a motivating factor for both today yeah you know I think both men would say you know it’s no big deal but you know it’s a big deal for Matthew wolf and I think it’s an advantage that he’s not playing with Brooks kka today he’s got kind of a nice relaxed group that he’s playing in but Brook capka you know just looks like a giant Jerry shedding people you know as he PLS ahead you know they’re tossing them off you know both sides yeah you know Brooks kka has had a three- shot lead twice and he went on to win both one of them in a playoff and one by one he hasn’t really ran away but you know there there was that little bit of personal drama between the two last year Brooks really didn’t say a lot about it Brooks is such a genius about giving the media just a little bit and letting them run with it and Matt wolf didn’t say a whole lot about it either but uh I don’t think it’s as big an issue now because they both said yesterday they’re both in a good place and and they’re happy for each other well Matthew wolf finished third in Miami four last year fourth in Las Vegas 65 yesterday teed up at 16 he birded 18 1 and two birded seven of the 10 holes between 18 and n one bogy that was a 10 so at one point he was 10 under par but he starts today nine under three back of his former Captain Brooks kka as shotgun starts is moments away in the Singapore Sunshine it is just past 8:00 a.m. local time and if ad AG 7 days ago is anything to go by it should be another very very special Championship Sunday smash lead the team competition by just a shot over Ripper GC and this man performed heroics for the Aussies in Adelaide last week PA of 65 for him over the weekend and he’s carried that terrific form Lucas Herbert into Singapore and he tees off at the first he’s fullback of Brooks Ker [Music] what an addition he’s been to RI a GC this season tell where that came to rest finding the golf course is key for Ripper GC cuz all four players are putting the lights out of well inevitably Matthew wolf was asked about his spats with Brooks keper both played it down in their press conferences yesterday I’ve just got to focus on my own game says Matthew wolf today and the range goats his new team captain by Bubba Watson are in third place 21 on the par that’s two behind smash GC the range goats a different team were victorious in Singapore here last year big round big day in the career of over the weekend 66 in round one and then a 64 yesterday to take command here in [Music] Singapore well he never looks stressed does he no no no he always looks the same his demeer is always the same Brooks capka final preparations and that is Rooks kepa’s final preparations on the practice green he has a Swagger about him again as he mentioned in his press conference last night and he has an air of a man that feels Invincible when he’s on this sort of form yeah and his demeanor yesterday I was really impressed with it you know he reminds me of Tom Watson you never know if Brooks kempka is shooting 66 or 76 it’s the same thing just dead level the whole way and that’s just such an advantage for a professional golfer yeah you know we’ve had Brooks Kea is an intimidating guy to his to his fellow competitors he is obviously intimidating to the media because he sometimes calls you out on a dumb question and and he gives you so very little but he’s a genius about it absolute genius about it I just love I love being around the guy because it’s almost like you get you get two words and it’s like he wrote an essay for you this was for birie at 13 he can be quite humorous and self-deprecating he said his son crew who’s here with wife Jenna celebrated his 34th birthday the other day Brooks said his son hasn’t seen him finish higher than 45th yeah yeah he said yeah exactly his son thinks he’s an ordinary player I think that’s going to change today yeah yeah it was a real motivating factor his performance in Augusta he called it embarrassing and certainly a motivating factor to getting to work even harder on his game for the Live Events and then of course ahead of the defense of his PGA title at valhall in a couple of weeks time this is Cameron tring off to a flying start the high flyer gets to nine under par after one mark leishman up the hill at hole number two Taylor G was asked U how would you describe trying to chase down Brooks kepka who has a three-stroke lead going into the final round four strokes over Taylor his answer was hard yeah but not impossible he added and you know they both want to beat each other today and with the fire and passion to do that obviously Taylor has a game but it only is going to help smash as they lead currently by just one shot those two both play well and you can hide a little bit of a weakness if there is one but this is a day where Graham McDow was brought to the team for so we’ll see how that turns out look at oh oh wow how in the world does that not drop yeah Matthew wolf second shot at the first suan hang and Don bule suan first of all you’re going to follow Matthew wolf today and that group what does he need to do to challenge Brooks today well you know he said in his press conference yesterday that he’s going to go out there today and focus us focus on his own game and not really worry about anything else I caught up with someone from the range goates and they said you know the key to his success this year really is that he’s back to being very comfortable in his own skin he knows what works well for him and he go he is going back to that and leaning on those things now he’s going to have to come out with some really good first opening holes to put some pressure on Brooks when you have a guy like Brooks you can’t afford to open the doors for him there’s some names you see on top of the leaderboard and you think he may fter Brooks Ker’s name is not one of them this year five of the six winners have led going into Sunday Brooks’s swing is looking great his short game is sharp nine for n in scrambling if anyone’s going to catch him today they’re going to have to go really really low thank you suan and Don Boule lots to come from them throughout the day one caveat I would make is that Brooks capus three wins so far individually in the LI Golf League he’s had three stroke leads going into the final round each time he’s required two playoffs both in jeda against mighty fine effort but a drop shot for Abraham aner Brandon Grace is a member of the all South African Stinger GC who once again are in contention 16 underpar there seven back of the leaders Smash and we saw last week in Adelaide they can close GS very quickly indeed that was his second shot into the 10th he made birdy Dicky B Richard Bland of course the cleeks are in contention as well in second place in a tie that was his second into the sixth and he converted that into birdie Marty kimer for birdie at three and the cleats are two under par in very quick order they’re only one behind smash GC oh that first putt just rolled kept rolling and kept rolling nearly rolled off the green it’s going to be a slow one now back up the hill that was Lucas Herbert for par at the first disappointing start for him and Ripper GC drop a shot as they attempt to go back to back in the team competition this is the green at nine Jason CRA of Smash GC this for par as well [Music] needs to hold this to keep Smash in the lead by one which he does with very little [Applause] fuss to the green at s and anban liri this for birdie got there whilst that was happening Matthew wolf for para of one oh an bit of a rough start for this group all three of them bogy Matthew he’s got a pitching wedge whole locations on the back right can use that right Contour everything feeds a little left just headed winning on home soil in Adelaide last week in the two hole playoff against Stinger GC they are in contention here in Singapore as well Thomas Peters his third at one yeah uphill lie green to work with going uphill this is an easier up and down than two putting Thomas Peters three off the lead his third shot at the first [Music] Abraham aner off the second T suan that was nine yeah that’ll be up the hill it just doesn’t quite stay on that portion of the green you know yesterday David we saw so many whole locations really tucked but they were in the lowest portions of the green most times those are the easiest to get to you get one on the highest portion of the green everything just wants to make you look worse yeah drift away from the [Music] hole back to the green of one Adrien morac I know they’ve been making a lot of birdies out here Dom but bogey bogey free through two rounds here is just that’s some really really good ball strike yeah stunning golf but it also means his lag putting has been excellent all week cuz you leave yourself so many putts of this length here on the serapong course well he better be on on this putt doesn’t look like much slope but it’s down grain little downwind it can get away from him David he’s got a combination the grandpa left hand and the claw right hand he’s too young for that yeah look at this speed look look at this it’s going to keep this all with the lead in the what what tournament was it Don uh Singapore amateur Singapore amateur and and and the ultimate score on this all I made okay case you wer how how’s the counseling going Ker’s lead has been cut to two by Thomas Peters his smash GC still lead by one it up on the green Matthew wolf missed the the green to the right here he’ll play a little low chip and run yeah David he three straight Bogies Scott Vincent is looking to repeat his performance here in Singapore last year he tied for fourth so gained vital points to secure his live golf league future that was for bir at 17 sc’s going very well indeed bubble Watson’s range goats they In Contention to defend their team idle he teed up at 14 that was for birdie at 16 they’re in fourth to back of Smash from the back of the green Lucas he’s got a lofted club and looks like he’s going to try and flop this one got to be so precise with contact was well played but run out there some six or seven fet Terell hton second shot at one the broke shot at 18 his third shot straight into the hole for an eagle and he’ll have that to get to nine under par [Music] a glorious shot of the third green and Abraham aner who is still in the mix on eight and depart breaker for [Music] Abe oh that was a fantastic putt we were all expecting that to come back just enough to the left but it didn’t great C you saw C Samoa’s approach shot a few moments ago the man from Finland hold his birdie Putt and look at this the clicks Martin Ker’s team tied for the lead now with smash GC on 23 under and K smia has a lot to play for not only to chip in and help the team but he has zero points so far he needs points badly and he needs to make a few birdies to get into the top 24 I’ll tell you somebody needs to make a par yeah and that would be mad yeah really you know he only warms up for about 15 20 minutes he hits about 15 golf balls few putts and he’s straight to the first te now this will certainly get his momentum going a little this morning oh boy boy all of Matthew Wolf’s excellent work just unraveling early on here now then Richard Bland Dicky B to give the clicks the outright team lead and Bland demonium will [Music] ensue oh Dicky [Music] B wo started with a pair of birdies this is his second shot at one [Music] this far par and for Ripper to stay one back it’s not going to move very much uphill put got a good read on the way with this chip solid woo that holds Ripper firm in third place on 22 under two clear of the fireballs and the range goes yeah like see where that um little tent is there little H umbrella umbrella yeah exactly yeah it’s 9 on y 7 ey his b Adrian certainly in the best spot of the three slight downhill line but it’s playing into the wind slight breeze just picking up today which is quite refreshing Brave man to get it pin High here good line again yeah it’s a terrific shot on the right side of the hole as well here’s good for Eagle at four well Taylor makes that and smash regain the lead Brooks ker at three jumpy lie it’s kind of jumped on him and it’s outright how much spin will it have on it Taylor did make birdie so smash regain a one-stroke lead back up guc is nine under par Thomas Peters has pulled out an eight line he’s far enough back from the tree 30 yards in front of him he should get it over but but we’ve seen a couple of guys thin shots out of these very firm bunkers if he does he’s going around is he oh yeah he he’s hooking it out of here 198 yards with an eight IR uh he’s quite long David yeah I guess he is yeah that’s a good [Music] shot this week iron heads GC and the Singapore Golf Association gave eight Junior golfers a hands-on experience at stosa Golf Club they joined players and caddies during a practice round to learn about the responsibility of taking care of the course to leave it in better shape than they found it for their fellow competitors and members of the community this was done as part of iron heads gc’s Community initiative green up your local mun designed to inspire Junior golfers to leave their local course clear cleaner and greener it also gave them an experience of a lifetime and they learned it all from always loved it’s something that I’ve always loved kind of marking around with in the morning and uh different ways of doing coffee and and stuff like that would you be the bur behind no I’m I’m terrible I’m ter terrible keep drying keep drying should how do you drink your coffee I I mix it up a lot to be honest um but um I’m on a diet at the moment I’m trying to lose a little bit of the par but smash who led Ripper by one overnight have extended the lead to two that was Brooks for birdie at five the score Worm for the top three teams there’s not much between them no but smash has widen the lead a few times gotten close a few times tie it a few times now just with that narrow margin of Two Shots more light but it should be more like that huh I definitely believe it’s more off the left than it is in Tor at 11 you can tell he’s way back there he really really place to his percentages hanging Lio location today back right corner tucked behind the bunker no got to keep cutting the individual title of Paramount importance and he knows if he does his job it increases the team’s chances exactly because he’s certainly doing his whilst we wait Taylor G for birdie at 11 to stretch smash his lead back to three it’s such a narrow advantage two shots in the team competition with all four scores counting Glen for birdie at 15 for the cleaks dicky oh no doesn’t that golf to play in Singapore [Music] [Music] well it’s been another fabulous week in the live golf league we are in Singapore the santosa golf club what a venue this is and what a final nine holes we we have in store in both competitions your announced team myself Arlo white Jerry and David in the booth with me and Don Boule and suan hang out on the course well we had a an almost 5-hour delay after a deluge yesterday but today is back to what we were used to on Friday 88° bright Sunshine 31 if you count in Celsius well it isn’t done yet is it Brooks kco with five um major titles to his name seeking to become the first live golfer to win four individual titles it looked so Serene for a long time for Brooks but then that first bogey of the day at nine and the lead all of a sudden is only two shots and with the form being shown by the likes of Cam Smith and Terell Hatton this is going to be very exciting indeed both individually and in the team contest let’s have a chat with our OnCourse analyst suan hang in a moment but Dom you’re following Brooks were you surprised to see him drop a shot on nine yeah I didn’t expect him to have a three putt Aro I must admit you know he had a poor Masters he got to work with his team and he was looking Invincible there especially the ball striking you know those drives on six and seven With the Wind off the left with the water off the right I mean they were tough shots and he hit them beautifully I still think he’s clearly the man to beat the guys who are chasing him I still feel they have to play can’t miss Golf and that’s not easy around this golf course the Ripper boys seeking backto back team wins the only team that have done it this season are the crushes well three out of the four Ripper boys are about to hit the difficult part of the back nine 12 13 14 15 and 16 and Matt Jones he’s already passed that stage but he’s got five and six to play also playing one of the most difficult holes on the golf course I think if collectively as a team they can come away even par on those few holes I think they’re going to get ahead of the field well Brooks Kea is playing Precision golf with calculated management that was for birdie at four after running the Eagle pwell Pass down the slope and at number five slips in another one for birie and Dom you talk about Brooks not expecting to see that bog get I nobody did but the fact that he is seemingly in control of every aspect of his game do you expect the other two guys chasing him to be trying that much more hard hard and that much more aggressively yeah I do Jerry you know it’s not only because they want to win this tournament they have to they’re trying to beat Brooks kepka and what the feather in their cap it would be and uh the pins aren’t easy out there if they start trying to attack them they still got to play sensible golf they still got to be patient we hear it all the time even back nine on a Sunday when you’re chasing a win your first win on the live League you still have to display an element of patience and is there any sense that it’s Europe against America out there Dom you know we’ve got uh Peters and out there that are hopeful Rider coppers uh I’d never thought of it like that David but yeah there may be a little sense of that maybe Brooks thinks that way I’m not sure Thomas Peters and Adrien are out there thinking like that there hasn’t been much chat amongst the three in the group whatsoever today well depending Champion here Taylor G running out of time a little bit but not counting himself out with his Precision ball striking as well that was for birdie at six over at 10 this is what he does best those 15 to 20 Footers he seems to threaten them all and suan we’ve seen Taylor G play some incredible golf last year specifically with the three wins this year he’s been consistent although not yet in the winner circle how is he holding up from a demeanor standpoint out there being the pursuer this time well he’s always so stoic isn’t he Jerry he always has that Persona he’s so calm so collected I think he made that one mistake on seven he drove it into the left trees punched it out caught a little bit of an unlucky break caught that slope and rolled into the water and that cost him a bogey On a par five which he never want to do but still he’s in the hunt he’s only four back but he’s got some work left to do especially when you’re chasing his captain Brooks Kea so and Cameron tringali was in the hunt earlier and I’ve got morbid curiosity when it comes to you know really worldclass players making big numbers how does he throw a nine at the scorecard I think he just hit in the water a couple of times on that hole and then uh took around the turn on the sixth and then hit that in the water as well it’s been donating some golf balls to Singapore’s Waters but uh yeah a bit of a tough day for tringali perhaps you might want to think it could be an energy thing it is pretty hot out here it’s difficult conditions to stay focused and uh have that stamina to go through the day as we head out to gu his second and 11 suan if you need to chill down a little bit just step into the booth when you come by that’s leaves him in the makeable range but he was hoping for better as he always does Matt Jones for Ripper GC they’re at 27 under on the back of some very hot Putters this week and Caleb Sarat trying to chip in for Legion 13 on Sunday when all four scores [Music] count and here’s least just off the edge of the Fairway back at 12 waiting on Cameron trali ahead well Cameron just having one of those days can happen to anybody high flyer is not figuring into it he’s playing for solo accomplishment now and he’s on the verge of falling out of the position to earn any a big skip depending on the height he hits it but it will grab he love to bounce back from that three p has got to sit down times like this I think back to the Masters a couple of years ago and Brooks kep’s comments after he relinquished a lead to John RAM and he said he was too conservative yes in his final round and he learned his lesson from it we insinuated that he actually is very calculated with his words cuz he doesn’t want to give away his Secrets he said I learned a lot from it we assumed it was the conservative Nature by which he played never actually said those words in public the the rest of us read into them uh and we have a tendency to do that with him because he gives us so little have you seen a change though in his approach subsequently when he’s in these positions that’s a great point I think we’d all agree yes David yes two eyes yeah two eyes and uh you know he has a go with the seventh green um when he didn’t have to but it’s just it’s a great piece of front running collectively two and 3/4 shots to par based on the stroke average on those holes today and today alone r in first place can they go back to back let’s see what the computer says Ah two and three4 two Stinger GC the South Africans on home soil a week ago score room shows them nine back at one point yesterday about the Midway Point wow well they had a bigger lead than this Jerry later in the piece didn’t they against Stinger who closed the Gap by six shots over the last three holes so so much can change G didn’t catch that t- shot [Music] solidly that’s not going to hurt him I’m not sure who’s going to play first I think it’s going to be he’s got the wides going with the t- ball and you noticed that on the Range earlier I did it was just mainly to the left when I was watching them on the Range but lost one right on 11 right on 10 and uh the last two is lost to the left bad news for smash GC Graham McDow this is a bogey putt at five so a a six a double for GMAC he’s back to one over and crew has seen daddy win yeah Precious Memories being created here for the kers you there you go J take Dom we’re going to send it down to you yeah Brooks a league leading fourth win 10 days 10 days before the defensive your PGA Championship how excited are you with this win and the timing of it yeah it’s it’s all starting to come around I feel you know I’ve put in a lot of work um I feel like on on the golf course off the golf course um it’s been uh it’s been a good good two weeks to say the least you know taking take a week off and then grinded pretty hard with Claude over the last few days um I thought that was very important it started to kind of see it turn uh maybe Wednesday Thursday of Adelaide um so to see a payoff here is is huge bogey on nine with a three putt how big was that Birdie on 10 that bounceback birdie yeah I thought it was I thought it was big that’s probably about the slowest putt you’re going to have in the whole golf course and I I still thought I hit it hard enough to get to the hole but it wasn’t uh speed was a touch off I think the whole day it was I think you could tell it was even uh a little short but uh super super pumped made a couple clutch puts but the the ball striking was Sol you won for the first time as a father last year in jeda you’re winning for the first time I believe with Jenna and crew on site how cool is that yeah it’s awesome it’s it’s such a cool feeling it’s uh it’s great to have him here I finished better than 40th or 45th so the last few times he’s been there so at least you got to see me do something uh a little better than that you’ve defended major championships twice in your career is it going to be third time next week or two weeks from now yeah I hope so I like the way I like the way things are trending um just need to go back this week and make sure or well next week but uh make sure everything’s kind of going uh do the right stuff and uh go from there anything you need to tweak in your game or just to maintain I mean your driving today was magnificent really yeah I look I think everything was really solid I didn’t really think I made too many mistakes it was all you know it’s a great feeling when it kind of feels easy if you get what I’m saying it’s uh you know the only one there was 18 but I wasn’t going to miss that left so uh but you know I thought it was an important put two-stroke victory for Brooks kka smash finished in fourth in the end so a Podium finish for the first time this season for the C but they’re all in the wake of Ripper GC there’s Jenna and crew to help Daddy celebrate well that’s a fantastic achievement by Brooks kka who will be absolutely delighted as as you can see he’s not a man that would kind of swings violently emotionally either way is he but you can tell that the confidence he said yesterday the Swagger is back he was pushed all the way he was tested today and he came through very well indeed and the odds on him defending the PGA title in Valhalla must be slash because he’s in tremendous form yeah no question he’s going to start as one of the favorites if not the favorite um he’s just the sort of player that loves to be in the lead he loves the pressure he welcomes it you know um he leans into it and you could see today you know he was pushed the whole way but never really looked uncomfortable excuse me rookie mistake again he didn’t look uncomfortable but he he did what he has done so well for so long and that is go out there play his game stick to his game plan and not take any any unnecessary risks if somebody really pushed him down the end we would have seen him play the at toll in an entirely different way I think he’ll go in probably to the PJ his second favorite based on Scotty sheffer’s recent form but I wouldn’t bet against it in his scorecard Brooks kept cut so it’s jeder or jeda and now Singapore the first man to win four individual titles that was for birdie at four he parred his opening three holes as he did yesterday and he backed that up as he did yesterday with a birdie at five so he was cruising at this stage he made a bogey at nine just to keep things interesting but bounce back immediately as Dom mentioned in the interview with birdie at 10 this was for birdie at 15 and he was sealing the deal a power putt at 18 for a two-stroke Victory and he rolled it in beautifully so we are at the halfway point of the 2024 live Golf League season we’re over halfway in the regular season 13 events before the team championship Brooks kept C 15 under par a 68 today go got it done cam Smith just magnificent once again seven under mark leean five under today so they finish in a tie for second place and that was enough for Ripper GC to take the team title look at John Ram again forer today that’s seven straight top 10 finishes for the legion 13 Captain we still wait for his first individual title I’m sure it won’t be far away C samoya congratulations to him 7even par today that help the clicks onto the podium seven under for Carlos Ortiz today Lucas Herbert not his day individually but he held his nerve towards the end so he wasn’t the man that cost Ripper GC the team Victory not a good day for Matthew wolf with hopes of winning of closing down and overtaking Brooks kka he was five over par today we see a lot of player a few of the players who are headed to Valhalla who played pretty well this week which is always a good sign including Rah uh DJ and Neeman well this is a Monumental effort by Ripper GC after all the emotion and the the energy the Ecstasy the exhaustion of winning on home soil last week they’ve gone back to back and they’ve done it reasonably convincingly on the final day they came in a shot behind smash but cam LED from the front with a 64 Mark leean as well and it looked for a few moments like they might even catch Brooks kka this is lean second into 12 he bed his final hole the first in the [Music] end the a brilliant performance by Ripper GC and fans across Australia sure if they haven’t already just falling in love with this team that was Smith’s third for birdie at [Applause] 15 so that’s how it finished here in Singapore and the Majestics have got a lot of work to do 32 shots behind our winners Ripper GC the five balls as they were last year second place but in a tie with the clicks who get their first Podium finish of the Season Brooks is smash have to make do with fourth Jenna and crew and Brooks ready for the celebrations to begin in and the presentation will follow in just a few moments time and it’ll be a familiar feeling for him a fourth individual title there may be a slight disappointment on his part that smash GC couldn’t get it done for the second time this season but certainly motivation for the team to improve but Ripper GC are in a rich vein of form these affable lovable Aussies and that’s hard for a pom to [Laughter] say win by three to go back to back smash GC W secured let’s go Brookie that’s on X and it’s no small achievement against this field to be the first man to win four individual titles that’s what Brooks kepka has managed today he teed off this morning with a three-stroke lead it was narrowed to one for a considerable amount of time and in the end the winning margin is Two Shots well Arlo Crushers went back to back earlier in the season Ripper did it here tqu did it last year but right now Ripper’s going to try and Chase down the all-time record of the Four Aces with four in a row that inaugural year Houston will be the venue to attempt a third in a row [Music] individual champion and Ripper GC takes the backto back Team Championship win and we’re here to cover it all and more welcome to Club 54 post round show we have a lot to talk about today welcome to the show I’m your host Christian Crosby and joining me is suan hang and dle your favorite live golf league analyst favorites a strong you the favorite come on welcome to the show so much to talk about a huge win for Brooks kka uh getting the individual Championship you had a chance to uh follow him Dom and Su D take us through this incredible way well I had the honor of following Brooks kka who is now back to his very best I mean he was imperious out there his ball striking was magnificent as David and Jerry said in the Box you know he he loves the responsibility of being in the lead and having that and also he just manages his game so well he hits very he makes aggressive swings to conservative targets he manages his game he does not go for every pin in fact he doesn’t go for that many pins that’s how you win major championships well Dom you know the first two days I got to watch him and I think one of the biggest things that he managed to do was convert his Fairways hit into birdies did he do that today yeah yes he did well he hit a lot of Fairways but he didn’t make that many birdies but he played conservatively today he made you know the birdies where he needed to on the fourth hole he didn’t Birdie the seventh but he made a lovely Birdie on the 10th and it was just and I asked him on the green that was a very important birdie because he just three puted the ninth hle you guys can actually hear this celebration which is right behind us fans are excited I got a great idea how about we take a look at some Brook kka highlights y’all ready let’s do it can B yeah good two great shots into the green five left his first butt long way it was a great quick first butt great great butt well this is the club that’s made a big difference for him all week this week he talk about his confidence he put in this new putter this season it’s working really well for him it’s coming together really nicely that bird he told me was very important because he just reputed the n and here on 15 he’d left a couple of iron short on the hose where the pins were front he made sure he was all right on that one oh he’s got to be feeling so confident going into the PGA he has to be he has to be he’s defending Champion he’s defended a major championship twice before in his career it could very easily be three times and that’s a lovely scene there with his family love to see that big smile from Brooks there by the way remember what he did in Orlando when he won in Orlando what did he do the next following week came second in the Masters he had a lead going into the final round didn’t he but then he then won the pjj yeah he did he learned a lot from that Master he said he learned that he’s got to be aggressive here’s some social Brooks kka is in form baby Singapore uh putter is dialed game is there scary sight for others with a major championship around the corner talk about good timing right and uh here’s another one come on brooki I first thought that said Broski I guess both could apply right finish finish this out yeah Scotty Scotty Sheffer that is the world number one uh you better be ready someone’s found their egg no I think it’s I think that’s Adam scull and there’s the I love that and there’s the uh celebration with the uh CO2 to add that uh dramatic effect gotta love that another gentleman I wanted to talk to you guys about who had a phenomenal day especially the back nine cam Smith um would love for you guys to take us through his day today well I mean he’s really just trending in the right direction I got to talk to him post round and I said how confident are you going into the PGA Championship and he goes I’m pretty confident I mean he’s played some fantastic golf in the last couple of weeks we’ve certainly seen that driver to him for for Kim it’s a driving because we know he can putt we know he can chip once he finds that Fairway dangerous no kidding you know I mean every player out here recognizes I was talking to Brooks and his caddy Ricky Elliott he says cam Smith makes every P if he finds Fairways his IR are pretty solid he’s going to be dangerous at every major Championship cuz he’s a major championship type player yeah let’s take a look at some cam Smith highlights here suan Dom take us through it here we go all right let’s kick it up with the fourth this was his third shot oh yeah I mean he’s such a magician around the GRE doesn’t he he’s got just that touch how many birdies did he make of this she this list goes on doesn’t it well the sixth hole that’s uh the pin was today on the far left and you know not an easy pin but what a fabulous IR shot there that’s what we were saying every time he puts himself on The Fairway he’s just going to be so dangerous especially with a wedge in his hand well it looked like a pretty aggressive play off the T on 10 for Cam and when he starts looking up and down like that wow well that released a lot from the Fairway well you know when you when you hit when you see indications of Cam taking such aggressive lines off the te you can certainly in it’s an indication of how confident he is over the te shots he’s so good out of Fairway bunkers especially with his hybrid and his 3-wood and also with his irons what a marvelous shot that was now second shot on 13th this was one of the hardest holes on the golf course the average second shot was 205 yard yesterday oh it lipped out this is not an easy hole but he certainly made it look easy all right tell me this goes in it has to right come on let there’s a shot [Applause] uh let I just want to ask you guys a little bit um do you think Brooks should be worried about cam Smith at all or or was he worried about him today well I think Brooks is not the kind of player that really thinks about those things I think he’s very much like in his own Zone he controls what he can control he’s very much a routine player isn’t he yeah he is definitely is he’s got a process but Brooks keper understands in major championships he’s only competing against 25 30 guys but one of those guys is Cam Smith yeah so he will one the best short games yeah let’s take a look at the individual leaderboard and uh take us through it guys let’s do this here we go the individual leaderboard as we conclude Championship Sunday obviously Brooks kepka getting that win with 15 under par take us through this but look at cam Smith and Mark Lehman both tied second I mean the Ripper boys are certainly finding some kind of moment to mat tayor G as well I’m sure he’s going to be a pretty disappointed today didn’t have his best golf uh coming and forth not defending his title here and Adelaide Terell Hatton Terell Hatton you know what Terell Hatton he’s an anony for me I mean it’s just he seems to hit his drivers sort of offline quite a lot but every week he’s in the top 10 he’s a great player he’s another guy to watch out for the PJ championship at Valhalla in shocking news John Rah is top 10 oh is he yes only just and Walkie nean I mean those are the two names you’re so used to seeing in the top 10 of this leaderboard I mean they’re playing some phenomenal golf in 2024 I’ll tell you a funny story Brooks was walking down with me on 18th Fairway he goes Dom he goes what am I leading by I said you’re leading by two I said at uh leash finished at 14 under he goes but I’m at 15 I said I know you’re leading by two he says double check for me please and I talked to our producer and I said yeah Brooks you’re leading by two I love it uh now before you go suan you never told us you were a violinist what what’s going on we actually we caught you uh today uh as you were waiting to get on camera this is half time today as you were waiting to go online she’s not very good I say who idea was that who idea was that you’re going to have to buy me a beer whoever’s idea with that is going to have to buy me a but that was the opening of our you know halftime show and it’s just that iconic song so you know I was just trying to just you know feel the heat nice to see you very relaxed you don’t have to hide those talents from us hey what an incredible Championship Sunday we’ve had all right live your range of motion you’re going to start from this position then you’re going to rock back and try to sit on your heel it’s just a heel Rock stretching is just so key if you don’t have the pliability you’re just putting yourself in a in a place to fail the more explosive that you can get the better the those fast switch muscles are working you got to get Dynamic you got to put yourself in athletic position you’re going to hug the bosu ball and as you go down go into rotate down rotate and then up you’ve got glutes working uh your hips are firing up I mean you can’t see but I got a nice little lather under here you’re going to jump you’re going to jump so it’s time to go uh go to the range and get ready to [Music] compete make sure you guys check out those live lessons on the I was going to say unbeliev but then I wasn’t G to say it but then I said it anyway because I’m excited now this is one of the teams you predicted we could see on that Podium today and here we are talking about it right now Jerry smash is the one I thought was going to make it I honestly felt beginning of the week tqu would come in here with a good chance but Ripper riding the hot hand riding the emotion of that incredible win in Adelaide they got it done second time a team was won back toback this year Crushers did it earlier in the year and Tor K did it last year they all time record four in a row that was four aces year one and Ripper will chase that when we get to Houston shall we get into some Ripper GC highlights let’s do it baby here’s Ripper GC and their incredible time here in Singapore in the championship Sunday take us through it Jerry at least when who led the field in putting through two rounds I’d be shocked if he wasn’t leading at the end of the day as well he got it done also with the ball striking those towering iron shots he hits just the precise distance almost every time and rolls in the putts but here is the club that got it done for him I mean it’s captain is that guy Cameron Smith leash had the better putter this week that’s unusual worst putter on their team ranked 15th this week and Matt Jones and he still helped get it done today as well big tall Australian leash is second to the 12th look at that nearly jars it not the easiest toll on the course either Matt Jones for birdie not an easy putt very slippery down the hill and a little body body Australian gets it in there cam Smith yeah one of our announcers predicted he should be trying to make this and he did look at that that was you right I don’t I can’t remember that’s a long time ago and Leash with this gorgeous one at the time make he’ still had a couple holes left after this but making a run at the individual title with an incredible bounce right there got to love that uh how impressive is this back-to- back win from Ripper GC Jerry it’s great I mean again they’re they’re a group group of guys who believe in themselves and they believe in each other and when the confidence as high as it was this week and obviously riding the emotional high of off the win in the unlikely uh playoff last week when it looked like they were eliminated before they managed to make two clutch putts in the first playoff hole to continue on as leash and cam did uh yeah I mean you can’t say there’s no stopp at him there’s way too much talent in this league but they’re going to be a formidable uh Team to contend with the rest of the season well lean had a very scary last hole take me through that Jerry uh that happened today I want here’s a clip of it we got for you just butchered this shot right here but he was he was trying to stay aggressive he’s still trying to win individually and ensure the Ripper win he tried hitting a punch shot off a hook Li and tried to get it to cut as well every time you do that as Fair he said the club face is open it’s always going to take off right where you thought and he was lucky to get away from there with just a bogey and this right here cemented it there it is at the time you had Fireballs pursuing three Fireballs yet to finish and they all were playing par fives which as you know are the easiest holes on the course so that one cemented it once AB anter didn’t birdie 18 for the Fireballs that got it done for Ripper would you say leean is in the best form of his life currently I don’t know I’ve seen him play some really good golf I mean he lost in a playoff at the uh at the Open Championship at St Andrews to Zach Johnson uh I think go might have been in that playoff as well can’t remember but nonetheless this he’s a he’s always been a world class player and uh when thing we do know about the Australians and the South Africans who didn’t win either of these two weeks they are world class celebrators oh look at that right there they’re doing it right uh for sure in this shot here now I know we have multiple teams who have won multiple Team Championships so far but is it safe to say Ripper GC is becoming the team to beat or are they now the team to beat boy I don’t know Crushers are good they’re solid across the board Ripper they’re a fantastic team there’s not a bad player on the team not a bad player on any of the teams tqu brings that and exuberance uh right now not all of them are clicking on all cylinders but they’re always going to be a team to beat I’m still shocked by the Four Aces and they’re just having a lowly time makes me wonder if they might be looking for a transfer window move here which starts right now and ends the Sunday of Houston we never know rumors are out there um and then of course Legion 13 is either feast or famine with them and they feasted already twice this year well Jerry let’s take a look at the team leaderboard shall we let’s take a look all right let’s take a look talk me through this Jerry our boys at the top Ripper GC uh super impressive here but what else do you see jar well Fireball made a late run that was awesome clicks getting I think what is this their second or third third ever Podium it was fantastic them they’ve become a legitimate Contender this year on the heels of signing Adrien smash was a team I thought was going to win they had the lead most of the day at least most of the first nine of Play Let It Slip late because of the strong play a ripper and because of the holes they still had to complete Legion climbed the leaderboard at one point from I think eighth early in the day all the way up to within a shot of first ended up finishing Fifth and tqu a solid performance if un unspectacular on behalf of them led by Captain Walk nean still the Four Aces down there in eth I can’t get used to seeing that captain of the High Flyers Phil Mickelson actually earned points this week Phil Nicholson won the PGA three years ago at the age of 50 which is unheard of oldest major champion in history who knows what he can do of alalla I know he hasn’t counted himself out and he still has all the strength all the power and all the shots he had when he was a young man all right well we’re going to get your final thoughts in just a second but first let’s toss it over to Rachel Drummond with a special guest on AR rign Rachel what’s up who you got hey CeCe hey Jerry right I’ve managed to bag a player on the final day we’re very lucky to be joined by Ben Campbell thank you for joining us no trouble at all now you’re one of our reserves here and you’re a top International series player just quickly you’ve been drafted by team ripo who just won how good are they yeah no it’s great to see them go back to back and um yeah now the boys are playing well so hopefully can keep it up now the winner Brooks kka has been saying how good his proximity to the hole has been which is downed his distance control we’re going to have a quick look at some b-roll now of players that have done really well okay so we got cam Smith first I mean you know this man better than most yeah no I think you know Cam’s especially around this golf course you it’s all you know all about the second shot and Cam’s always been amazing it sort of you know mid to short irons and you know a shot like that you can see straight away ands out yeah definitely man of the- moment Champion Brooks kepka yeah and you you saw it all week how how good he was hitting his ir and um and I think especially he he hit a lot you know really well judged IR out of the rough as well which around here is very tricky and finally the man that we have to mute quite a lot yeah but that’s what I was talking about you know the the lies you get around here out of the rough they can be so tricky and and uh you know I think that’s where Brooks and that done so well and it’s why he’s at the top of the leaderboard now we want to pick your brains when they talk about proximity to hole you have to be good with your distance control so how do you practice that then yeah I think you know if you can get down and use things like trackman and um and and you’ve you’ve all if you can know exactly how far your clubs are going then that helps so much as well so I think you know getting going somewhere where you can actually measure them whether it’s you know a range finder and that but knowing how far every Club goes and then you know obviously the bit you get then obviously the um weather conditions can change that you know the ball here in Singapore this week’s flying a little bit further than it was last week so I think you know that’s from for professional golf going to week to week that’s what you have to judge you know elevation comes into it as well so I think the first key is knowing how far every Club goes and then adjusting during the week and how do you go through that process to get your numbers so you’ve got here at the tournament you’ve got your track man down you know how many shots do you hit what’s the process yeah I normally hit sort of two or three sometimes a few more but just you know when you’ve put a really good swing on it so just making sure that you’ve got three or four really good good swings and just keeping that consistent I see a couple he’s been ripping them the last five minutes so an is it something that you go through do you do different you know grip down the club do you do different lengths of swings how many numbers do you try and get um for me yeah I I’ve got I grew up in the winds playing a lot in the wind so I’ve got like a 3/4 shot that I play a lot so I’ll show you that now I um I know so A9 goes 144 M standard it would be I think it was going 147 this week here so I’ve got like a knockdown um 3/4 so how I play that is I I I just stance slightly a little bit narrower than what I normally would be and then because I’ve just narrowed up my stance I sort of I can’t swing as hard at it and straight away that drops so yeah my 3/4 8 goes 130 normally 139 m so you know just by making sort of small adjustments like that in your setup you know everyone’s different I think you know some guys do a three quter swing some guys you know feel like they just swing a little bit softer and things like that so I think it’s just working out what you can do consistently um and there’s no right or wrong really so and what do you think has to be good technically to be able to have a repeatable distance I think you know like the basics you’ve got to obviously aim it really consistently ball positions really important and then and then just getting that consistent strike so you’ll see you know Matt Jones he hits out of the bunkers a lot and just really works on that contact so that’s another good way if you’re struggling with distance controls actually go to a fairway bunker and practice hitting out there cuz you’ve got to be so precise to get that you know perfect and and that is gold I like that one let’s see some more okay so yeah I’ll play how I play my little 3/4 I just slightly a little bit narrower than I normally would and then I just do my normal swing and how important is this for you and the players on live you to know your numbers for the strategy at courses yeah I think definitely around a course like this when it’s it’s it’s such like a second you’ve got to hit your second shots very very well um you know it gives you a bit of room off the tea and things like that um but you know I think every week’s slightly different and this I think this week you you have a lot more mid IRS to sort of to Shorter IRS you know a lot of sort of Si seven irons and things like that which you know out there on a lot of the weeks the guys are just hitting a lot of widges so I think um definitely around sort of certain courses you know Adelaide last week you saw the Aussie boys do well there again and you know when when they you’re coming into the wind and things like that that’s where you know the guys who can control the flight control their distance um you end up you know missing it in the right places and when you’re doing that golf becomes a lot lot easier right I’ve got a tough question to finish with so a lot of my amateur might not get a con consistent strike so they’ve got lots of different numbers what is your best tip you would give them to get a bit of consistency I think yeah I think definitely seeing a coach I think consistently yeah I think you know um if you if you really love your golf I I think it’d be good to you know try and get a couple of lessons every you know whether it be every month or or that but I just think you know practice the basics check your ball positions good you know if you if you got the ball too far forward then you know you it’s it’s hard to catch it perfectly same if you’ve got it too far back so I think you know just checking the basics would be my first first tip Ben good advice there just go see a coach yeah yeah thank you so much for your wisdom I know one of mine is actually take more Club because they’re always short aren’t they yeah and I think a lot of the time you know they think they’ve hit the seven onon 11 160 m a couple of times so they keep thinking you know and they always end up coming up short so I think that’s a definitely a good good tip so coach hit more Club thank it for Ben Campbell to give Rachel his time like that I know Rachel has already quickly earned the trust and the respect of all the players and she’s so likable she’s such a natural at that but what a great young man you know he’s no stranger to world class competition he did hold off cam Smith I believe at the Hong Kong open last year to win that now he’s competing on the international series trying to use that as his Avenue to a full-time position within the live golf league we’ll take a look at those standings right now it’s being led by one of our own members Carlos Ortiz John Catlin hot hand two wins one win on the international series but two wins on the uh Asian tour but Carlos Ortiz leading the way so many of our guys are on that money list because number one they’re great players number two they’ve played very few events where the other guys don’t have a chance to get past him Ben Campbell 11th and remember as you know number one on that order of Merit they are automatically promoted to live golf League 2025 as Andy ogry was last year now a little sidebar if one of our current players doesn’t need that that uh automatic promotion and wins the international series that spot is opened up it’s not to the next guy it goes to likely another free agent signing uh which would be the most likely scenario well Jerry I want you to give me your final thoughts uh and earlier we talked to suan and D about Brooks kep I would love to hear your take on his day you know Brooks will probably go into the PJ as a second pH favored as suanne said you cannot deny the form of Scotty Sheffer and his dominance on the PGA tour but Brooks has gone into Majors before and found his form he went into Augusta didn’t have his form wasn’t able to find it there feel like felt like he let his team down a little and has put in an inordinate amount of work to try and get it into position where he has his form going into the PGA he has it it would almost be more surprising it certainly be more surprising if he wasn’t in the contending groups on Sunday at Valhalla than it would if he’s leading by 10 it would be more surprising if he wasn’t in contention than anything else with his track record in major championships and he’s gone back toback in Majors twice well what a great time we’ve had here Jerry I had a blast with you as always always a pleasure next stop is
