technical delay to get us underway but it’s great to have you along for this anniversary edition of our competition taking place this week at Gulf Zone County soon Sun we are nearing Midway of this middle round 54 holes for 800 million one in the purse and 144 of that to our winner which at the moment is AJ young she played earlier this morning she was in the afternoon groups yesterday she has posted consecutive rounds of 67 which means her lead her score is 10 under par Kim J she is one of five players at the minute currently four back tied for fourth at six under par paky youngyang also with a much better day today maybe the key to success starting early she shot a 67 as well she’s three back at seven under the same score as Yun Mina this is e who is plus two and of course with this being a three round Affair that means we are worried about the cut line we are monitoring it closely and at the moment it is anything with a plus beside the number doesn’t appear to be sufficient we have 62 players at even or above and that miss four par we’ll see d drop three below the cut looking at the round for Kim jhe through seven holes Bird’s at two three and four and four pars as well it’s a lovely weather day once again 27° and sunny and I tell you we might get a little bit of rain tomorrow but it’s a good thing we will be out of here before Monday when we are supposed to get quite the downpour 30 to 50 mm expected and that rain can stay for the early part of next week so these putts become must makes hean told you that she missed her putt for par this was just moments a go she goes to plus [Music] three it’s important that she’s able to get that putter to heat up a little bit she’ll need a trio of birdies at the minimum barring that field at plus one of which there are six still on the course picking up multiple birdies which might bump it up but it’s something of course as we will monitor closely and while we wait for the group on the par three to conclude we can go back to number seven and see a brilliant approach we have hung you mean who was our leader by Day end yesterday but look at this scorecard Bogie’s at 1 and seven that drops her to a tie for eighth position five Strokes back and the waiting game it does her no favors when she’s trying to get into the groove she patiently Waits The Fairways to open up we can go to p young for now trying to take a little bit of club Off With the Wind very much at her back but being in the rough she might have play a bit too conservative with the wind and the lie it’s always a juggling act and even multiple multiple multiple time winners can get it wrong from time to time this is no sui who can move to plus one just a short five-footer enough break in it to to make it a tricky one she’s able to go finds itself in a rough [Music] on [Music] long you mean she reaches but well off of the target with a pin placement today six yds from the left Fringe she finds herself halfway between even par and the top of the leaderboard EJ young our leader 10 under consecutive rounds of 67 as mentioned and the projected cut has shifted already to plus one so good news for Eun who will be looking to turn things in the turn things around in the late stages of this front n should be a brilliant day on the klpga tour over the course of the next 3 hours happy to bring you our Moving Day coverage of the me an unbelievable almost unfathomable third round for her 62 10 underpar on the way to a rather comfortable fourstroke Victory Jung me also a winner of this tournament the first year back in 2014 she took the title back on the par three and was always going to be a put that was going to require Perfection and then maybe even a little extra no stroke gains but it is a two par for hung you mean on seven Bak young hoping to save her par just gets it to lip in and fall I oh while her groupmate might be faltering or at least not back into cruise control as of yet the same cannot be said Keim jhe now as she nears the turn work to [Music] do but nevertheless in a pretty good position you’d have to say three under for the round and three under is what she had shot yesterday I me Jung mean with the points bonus with the money on offer 1.3 billion one was the purse last week it was quite the Payday for her but she moves to the top of both the money and points lists and back in 2014 when she won this event it was the second round as her best round when she shot a 67 [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] she doesn’t look thrilled with the t-shot and that is why misses The Fringe and rolls on down weightwise it was Perfection from bakang she of course the winner of the med heal Hogle boo Championship Club 72 bu J last week on the podium tied for third with pin Shi and kimin spe and so for two disappointing one no doubt forch [Music] it remains a wide open green although technically F Jung me closest to the pin both she and P young well birdie seems like it’s off the table there won’t be as tricky up and down as the shots forthcoming from the sand trap oh [Music] play brilliantly stroked to start this 498 meter par 59th powerwise it was on the money in fact maybe a little bit too much as she goes all the way through the Fairway good sh mean sends a dartt down off the tea and can just focus on getting that next birdie we know how often those can turn into runs for her and change top three of course in fact the first page not a ton of movement though Kim ji looking to make it a three-way tie for second keing so the Amer a 68 today tied for fourth choan a 68 as well she is at five under after two rounds of this competition well was our featured group heads down the Fairway we’ll take a break we’ll come back with the second shots on the par five here at chasing down that illustrious 10th anniversary title couple players as mentioned previously of course can repeat certainly Kim knows a thing or two about that she won three on the bounce 16 17 and 18 a three time champ however looking like she’s not going to be able to make the cut round of 73 to open round of 74 today as they’re well outside of the projected cut of plus one from a long way out on nine almost on the opposite green recovery shot hasn’t shuck the way it needed to be to fully reach and she emerges from the sea of supporters she will know if she does not ha out this will be altered speaking of off the green not nearly as dramatic but e mean nevertheless she is putting and she nearly was able to putt in from The Fringe now I’m not entirely sure what caused that Ovation I’m sure we’ll find out in a moment or two [Music] so D she has made the decision that the club will be her putter she tried to reach so that that we had just seen was her second which is no small accomplishment considering this is longest hole on the course third excuse me to set up the butt for a birdie and she pins it carries too much speed to get to her Target and ball would not drop she tried to go aggressive knowing she needs to pick up a couple of Strokes here settle for a par and B Young it’s a good par save two puts from The Fringe to reserve that total for one more hole and that was just about a slam dunk from a Way’s back the corner of the Fairway it’s a great display of short game play and a birdie seems almost inevitable Kim J 200 100 m out and she’s on and she’s on quite comfortably so as the ball comes to rest perched up above the pin get Chi down for Eagle easier said than done I know but she’ll fancy her chances to go closer to the top now hung you mean she’s been at the top and we know how long of a hitter she is when she is playing an iron at [Music] 184 and she splits the fairways and might have just rolled back in to the furthest commend The Bravery but it’s an important sand save next fore Buck J with [Music] driver she gets the final hole of her front nine underway in the rough between the two bits of Fairway it’s a roll of the dice do you lay up and take the attacking philosophy off the table more or less for the second shot or are you okay with sitting up there’s a great vantage point from it the almost Pac-Man shaped Fairway on the dog leg right here clear the card path and you can try and go for it in two that’s often a strategy that can lead to some low scores bakam next that leaves e j mean we know it’s an unorthodox drive but it looked particularly off and The Umbrellas protecting the gallery from the Sun and from the golf balls on the course seemingly go go jiming Sun seven starts the back nine with birdie that she would have been able to make with her eyes closed that is four in a row now she had been even until the 7eventh and has really cranked up the wick is hung you mean pitching it up from the sand and with the Downs slope and maybe the breeze as well is unable to stay on the Green play just a little tap with the wedge to get it [Music] rolling so that was shot three Wonder have been eagle if it was a little more to the right and a little slower but she still has a chance to putt for birdie w what [Music] the crowd was ready to erupt mean gave it a formidable try but tapson she’ll do so knowing it was anything but the way she had planned this 9th fortunately it’s not another bogey she’s out with the 37 spe now Kim Shahi a birdie and she’ll have nine holes to focus on three really nicely played she is the favorite at the minute to go on and snatch at least a portion of the top spot heading into tomorrow’s final round as she goes out with a 32 and is playing some really strong golf ging Sun 7 just a few moments ago on 11 88 M out that’s it and navigates the wind and the front located pin placement well she is on a massive roll great run of form for her just the right time another strong approach up and close Less Than 3 m away from Pay Dirt investigates the situation for each young mean on the outside of the cart path the hybrid in hand it’s 216 officially she’s got to avoid the Stak in the Rope as well even with a less than ideal lie she plays it about as well as she could have possibly hoped for we’ll be putting for an eagle well that’s dramatic hole and I don’t say that in a making a push multiple races watching closely across the course H you mean the only player this is a bit of a shocker in the top 40 who is above par for the round nine holes to change that in this second round of the 10th kyun 1991 ladies open for this for for for for spee [Music] well as we return to the perimeter of hole number nine we see the first attempt at a setup for an up and down from bakang go well [Music] arai I’m hoping this hit the brakes but Galloping and ricocheting through the Fairway it’s a long way back but it’s a look at Eagle nevertheless considering what might have been after that tan I think e j mean would grab a birdie with both hands now hung you mean at two 41 even that is too far outside her reach and Uphill hole 241 playing more like 275 P J for birdie move within five it’s got a chance runs out of speed [Music] [Music] so she’s officially out with the 35 just the one birdie in the front nine it came on number four it’s a nice little segue speaking of four give mean Sun at four under four birdies in a row on 11 she looks to make it five with a short up hill putt but she couldn’t solve the break now pakam needed that [Applause] birdie it’s her first of the round she is projected to make the cut with that score but she’ll have higher aspirations than that now hung you mean 99 M the wedge in hand trying to stay get to rather the back left of this green yeah she’s done that she’s done that very well e main last week’s champ hesitated you can see she started that back swing and almost stuttered she was not full of conviction on the put and last week’s major Champion fails to secure the birdie wonder if she had something heard something in the background or another factor that might have thrown her off 65 for Kim Shi she went just outside of the Fairway sends this straight up high lofted high lobed wedge she will be working with a similar range to hungy mean on to 18 which is where we find Jo and she gets that to roll up and stomp in close as our first hour of coverage here at the gulf Zone County sun sun has drawn to a close on a beautiful sunny afternoon where it is 27° and just a few clouds in the sky doing a little more than enhancing the stunning pictures from across the course play looking for the break the break has come and it hangs on just long enough two in a row eight under two back that is the dream start to The Back Nine and this is as dramatic as it gets starting it to the outside begging it to hang on oh [Music] the bar was raised you mean our hypothesis proved correct that par doesn’t influence the scorecard but it gives her the confidence that the resiliency can still be there it is her first biry since the second hole and might that just kick starts an exciting run in [Music] [Music] Pam oh bu hi budy for Kimi continues to drive the ball well in fact she might be driving the ball a little too well she’s been over hitting and rolling just into the rough but it is not slowing her down at all well that drive also a similar distance but for hung mean it carams off to the left [Applause] A J mean after P J Young’s played her driveing to noi a left to right putt that is working its way towards the Target didn’t have that final break back that she needed [Applause] [Music] just a little dribbler Trying To Get It Started From the Rough above the hole but not cut the way she needed it to [Music] Joy lean that’s a nice birdie she’s halfway there and tosses that birdie ball up into the crowd she gets the stroke back that you lost on 17 speech speech speech I’m playing her second from the rough okay the green but lost her ability to control and be as precise as she wanted [Music] I got my ball head the B and that right to left breaking putt is just misaligned enough to cause the Miss game J on absolute flames right now trying to really need J young and anyone betting against her well they haven’t been tuning in like we know you have for the past 75 minutes round two at Gulf Zone County soon sun has plenty more drama in store for us hope you’ll stay with us on this beautiful day in Kishi for for spe for for for for e welcome back great to have you with us pbam the shot we nevertheless [Music] closest to the pin and flexing a little bit on her groupmates perhaps as she struts to the hole for what should be a tap in birdie a lot of work to be done plays that to about 2 m short of the hole [Music] [Music] now Kim Chi first time today she’s found herself in trouble first I shouldn’t say first time today but first time in quite some time she’s going to relinquish one of those Strokes [Music] look at that scorecard well in fact is the first poogy in the day it felt as though she had one earlier but she’s been as cool as you like throughout [Music] and for J mean the par is made official just ATT tapin distance away and 13 ends with the tip of the cap and a par Bak bogam she’s been on the hunt to get back to even wasn’t satisfying with she had been set up so she’ll cycle Through the Motions the drop gets back on the line it needed [Music] missing that last centimeter or two [Applause] shot fore speech speee [Music] Kim J he next it’s always about the bounce back [Applause] plays the hole [Applause] brilliantly and buck young just buring number two today she’s inside of the top 10 halfway to the [Music] top and working that to maybe a foot to the right two at the most nice [Applause] ball e oh look out camera operator that is the definition of right into your living room and that is right on the money she needed that response now of course she has to finish it off now hungry me her turn to follow suit on [Music] 12 you can certainly work with that Birdie the last puts her back on page one of the leaderboard brings her back to even for the round on 11 and for back hung y mean very much in the chase Kim Shi though a slight speed bump on the path to the top with the bogy at the last a chance to mitigate that drop if she can birdie and we will find out if she can on me return e for this for for for this head [Music] W the action resumes with one of our featured groups and it is approach time on the par 4 young up onto the green meanwhile over on 12 hung you mean for birdie can she make it back to back the line looks good just a bit too [Music] quick touch less off the top and I would have had a chance to fall in for her mot her within three of the lead she held before the Day begin [Music] fore she’s back proving that it was a oneoff at 11 sixth birdie of the day [Music] right come here the [Music] trying to will at the final few yards it is just a touch short for Jung mean [Music] so on 13 Kim Chim once again within two she wanted to stay Center left ends up off to the right 10.6 M Punk Jong a long way to go go shout C caty come on back left wow what a great read that was [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and you mean up another pinpoint precise Tan on the par [Music] three she has six to go starting to get a bit of that mojo back G me sun seven on the par 4 14th for birdie starts to drift back onto Line it probably would have been slightly off to the right had it at the the speed [Music] [Applause] buam they didn’t quite have a handle on the putt right in [Music] the on reing mean she settles for par here and it’s on to 12 [Music] spe [Music] for spee spee [Music] speech for There She Goes Again mean wasn’t waiting around to see to okay Kim whatever nervy one you’d have to imagine she’s able to recover and Salvage that par [Music] [Music] J mean and B J sharing a laugh [Applause] he [Music] the initial Drive sent to the outside right of the Fairway and she looks of it frustrated with where she placed that one [Music] your sends her drive also down and comfortably in the Fairway for [Music] a bit too much of a draw from bakam as she goes off onto The Fringe for it’s not the most difficult of pin placements it’s definitely deep there’s no denying that but and the group struggles to find that six to 7 meter radius fore P check the M the last two fall from the sky and come to rest on the green as their featured group makes their way on down kimchi outright second now at 8 under par she is one hole further along hung you mean also hanging around within four strokes of the lead score of 10 underpar we’ll have more gone County soon out shortly for this for this for Kim chish is the talk of the course approach finds The [Music] Fringe she continues to go through the motions you mean Gaz is down it’s 111 M out [Music] she lands almost in the exact center of the green if it was darts it would be a [Music] bullseye k mean Sun seven at five underpar she is five under four the day and has another spectacular shot as she huls out from off the green she had that bogey at 4 but since 7 it’s been an entirely different round of gulf back to a Jung mean anything other than a landing Point inside of 3 MERS would be bonus she just got that one all wrong fore this is buak J young next at 10 met on the nose a two put par that’s about what she would have expected despite giving it a proper go kim chi technically an effort for birdie understanding she basically had to concede the thought that that was a realistic probability for her doesn’t need to birdy them all it’s starting to run a little bit short on time if she wants top spot by De end no for I hear with hung you mean going to want to drift this a little left to right movement could use that ball marker as a helpful breaking point is an excellent putt marvelous in fact up into a share of a Podium position three back and has the holes to get there when she is at her best more than capable of these moments and it’s a big one for her [Music] so 13 part three time again just juggling a bit that’s the wedge game to be as close as she like so e mean finds herself on the wrong side of even now can’t afford to lose any more Strokes with that cutline looming for [Music] just about pin high on the left side of the green one sh on to the right [Applause] off the rough with the driver and you me must be feeling like she’s in a pretty comfortable position she lost the confidence she lost the consistency earlier in the round but it certainly feels like she’s back as we take a look at the par 4 15 at 345 M the heart of this stretch of par fours on the back nine it’s uphill all the way from the Inplay point to the green [Music] and as we fly closer to that putting surface on the left where we are playing you can really tell just how curvy it is the PIN placement and this second round is pretty much immediately on the front right [Music] oh 69 yesterday felt like she was really on for a good run at this title and for the player who won the season opener in Singapore Kim J he is right on the doorstep p g young now starting this above the hole knowing it’s going to start to slip on the line always felt like a setup shot for a par and that’s the route she does end up taking hardly a cloud in the sky today and Kishi and it continues to warm up bit windier than we saw yesterday as you could likely make out by the flags in the bottom left corner of the screen 28° 2.6 m per second the winds steadily out of the West and on the long way back pum couple of yards shy to the right spee for I’m finally ready to attack this approach shot from off into the rough but something we’ve seen certainly more than she would have been hoping the last little while and that is a shot that fails to find the green [Music] and she’s not the only one evidently failing to find the green that’s hung you mean going off the back she started a long way out and now now Pak young trying to save her par is able to do precisely that definitely noticeable exhale so that keeps her at two under for the round five under for the tournament still inside of the top 10 and our closest to the lead of those still out on the course h y mean kimch each off the green on 15 and we’ll have some work to do to get on back they are two and three Strokes off of EJ young respectively in this second round of the 10th kocha 1991 ladies open go so after the relief of the par P Jang goes back to work drive goes all the way to the widest right part of the [Music] Fairway for [Music] foreign all the leg work and preparations complete you mean pitching this up from the rough knowing it will be a downhill path to the pin and maybe too much speed and too much downhill essentially all the way back to the front of the green the group is away and joging off into the Fairway has been a bit of a slower round today in terms of the pace of play with some long jams still a very very busy field 132 we will Whittle it down tomorrow of course for the final round the meantime we go back to 15 kim chi inside the shadow of the flag [Music] h [Music] St for [Music] a pitch and a putt and it’s not enough for hung you [Music] mean for [Music] [Music] [Music] despite the little extra time she took to prep the punt was not able to find a solution and Kim J has dropped another after being bogey free through 10 it is two since hole number 11 and that likely gives AJ on just a bit more confidence in her score of 10 underpar she should 67 two days in a row is a formidable Mark to say the least now e Jang Bean chasing even not quite pin high but in the right hemisphere of the green and now Pak young she does her one better that’s really nicely played is truly the stretch after this over to 60 no soon 68 M from the edge of the Fairway nice little little roll on back factoring in the wind and you know this ball might not be [Music] done should be absolutely elated a really really nice shot [Music] [Music] and on 18 narrowly missing out in that back right corner [Music] speech spe H you mean is this driver going to cause her some issues once again no if anything she hit that too well the way she looked off unsure losing the handle of course she would rather have been at the end of the Fairway but and there’s a world where the wind’s just right and that’s sailing onto the green and one [Applause] and following the border of the F to the left we’ll give her a decent angle down towards the green she’ll be disappointed with a few missteps but continues to roll with the punches for [Music] and with a short game from around the [Music] green why not to set up what she is hoping is nothing more than one Putt and no sec to two under no dropped off left to right popped out the other side this is back young but my own mind did she ever blast that past the hole oh well a recap of the round three Bogies three birdies 600 is where she started the day and it’s probably not where she expected to be this late on Saturday e [Music] [Music] so Kim he used just about every blade of grass remaining on the left side of the Fairway to avoid the rough [Applause] [Music] well the best compliment you can pay her and really any golfer for that matter is their ability to compartmentalize the mistakes and the bogies she’s done that by delivering a beauty [Music] [Music] Buck J the par sa she s four to go five [Music] back for me after for the drive was disappointed to only be 48 M out from the pin on the par four too strong let’s see how she recovers willing it to roll willing it to roll so that’ll be what separates herself and a bird the t-shop finds the rough and we settle in to the final handful of holes kim chi within three and that’s fitting as she only has three remaining imin young a 200 under round of 70 today to be at 600 hung you mean she’s hanging around through 15 as well Kim gang on the front 9 through 15 Hol she’s at 500 today after an opening round 72 p young she has a chance to move within a few strokes but the birdies need to start falling thick and fast we’ll take a quick break and come back to golf Zone County so Sun here in round number two e for for for for for w oh and welcome back 4:35 local time in Kumi shei so close to another magical moment FR you mean she’ll have to settle for another trip through with nothing to show for it the final 45 minutes or so and the environment the atmosphere remains just as wonderful as it was when we came on the air some 2 and 1/ half hours ago we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty 17 the hole we show you next over the water twice as it meanders around the left side of the left green a pot bunker straight back and off another to the front left to defend the pin what we expect to be its placement in tomorrow’s final round today though field needs to head to the back right the t- shot on the par three and only 15 M for hungy mean is a good one we’ll definitely need to eliminate the Bogies tomorrow which we I mean were shown once again yesterday she is more than capable of that so doesn’t look like she’ll be able to do it today and she certainly had her moments but two holes left can absolutely force herself into the final group tomorrow J makes it to slow down [Music] now for the break was red the weight was not met however [Music] and it ends up being bogey for eung me and her second of the day plus two and that is certainly right around the danger zone she’ll need a birdie and the final two otherwise she will be watching the final round like the rest of us on the other end of the spectrum is Pak young who can birie [Music] she came that close tap Park keeps at five under [Music] want for certainly this back n has been significantly more eventful for Kim Chi she struggled with the par fors and when you compare that to how she fed yesterday she did most of her birding in the first three holes in fact she did all of for buring the first 13 holes yesterday as well she’s going to putt from The Fringe 9 M short of the pin she gives it a really good go but was about 99% perfect [Music] back to 18 one last test of the touch from around the green in next effort hung you mean this looks [Music] promising that must have floated over the outside [Music] Edge no matter what she does she can’t seem to shake this six underscore after her 66 yesterday where putts like that one right there were falling without much thought or much doubt different story today unfortunately next up on the part threea testing it and reaching it a hole in [Applause] one can hardly believe she has an ace here the Gul Zone County Sun let’s take another look and we’re spoiled it seems like we have an disproportionate amount of these Aces never makes them any less [Applause] special fair play to her that’s luiana bed sets will be shipped off to her flat no doubt well that’s a nice little pickme up as we Round the Corner into the final half an hour of this moving day Saturday of the kyen 1991 ladies open the 10th anniversary EJ young despite a dramatic late push looks like that 10 underscore will be safe ch [Applause] while wasting no timeing the driver out of the bag p young one last time [Applause] mean to follow [Music] suit the ooze and oz of the power on display once again she bured here yesterday though she’s not able to draw too many parallels from opening for how she opened her tournament rather and to uh a little bit of landscaping to do and she’s going to peer over and make sure it’s actually there that she’s not dreaming she’s not scratching her eyes thank you and acknowledging a hole in a moment she’ll never forget is certainly the appropriate thing to do a third look at it I mean we could put this on a loop and watch it over and over and over again and it won’t make it any less special good consolation for her considering she now knows she will not have the score required to make it to tomorrow’s final round next up on 18 and down the hill into the rough towards the [Music] trees and as she swings that driver she is level with yina and bakang young as the runner-ups for now Pak young young with a 70 in the opening around 67 today same as EJ young kimin Soul S6 68 for the Amer and that’s just about it for the scores in the 60s Kim SE Ro me further down the leaderboard minus one has a 67 on top of that and at the last refresh of the leaderboard plus one is our projected cut which means it will be a dramatic conclusion for young mean who must birdie in
