RetroWax Box – April Edition Opening (Many 80s Packs)

I was going to talk at first um while I was opening the packs that I’m going to open today but I wanted to do this separate um just I think it’s more personable to talk like this um so I’m going to put a link in the description below uh to a video that cogg sports cards put out yesterday um just get on over there um give him some support I was thinking maybe you guys can you know your ideas on thinking of doing like you know uh you know care package or something for them to um you know maybe send them a whole bunch of stuff from all of us to open and enjoy um they um so the worst thing is like I always tell my kids like if they if something breaks or if they break something to mine or wreck something I said anything is fixable um you can fix or replace anything that’s a thing but I always told my kids that you guys like your health and safety you know if anything happens that’s not replaceable you can’t just fix that you can’t just buy something to fix that um so but watch CG’s video um they uh apparently have something uh going on uh health wise and their family and they have to discontinue their weekly live streams they’ll still have other content but um it just you know it makes you reflect that even it’s like I don’t know the health is the most important the most precious thing um and it just you know made me and everybody very uh you know very sad and uh reflect on everything um so but uh I’ll put a link again I’ll put a link to that video I just wanted to let you guys know um you know our thoughts and prayers are are with them and their family um and just you know value um you know the things that are most important in life and you know baseball cards and things are are not the most important they’re not even you know top 10 most important versus you know being you know healthy and and and being okay so uh thoughts and prayers to I mean they become uh best friends of mine they are as real and genuine in person if not even more than what you see I mean two of the kindest most selfless genuine people you’re going to ever know in your life so um you know get on over there give them some support and uh like I said throw me your ideas of of singing and doing like a big you know if we I’ll have stuff shipped here maybe and then we over a period of 3 or four weeks and then I’ll box everything up keep everybody’s stuff together if you have a card or anything you want to send um and then I would ship it on over just in one big huge or you know there was several big packages to S on over um to them just to they know they’re appreciated but I really want you know to do even beyond that so all right so now we’re going to get on with the this rip Okay so today so I’ve taken all the packs out of this this is a uh a monthly subscription box uh this one’s so there’s several different ones on uh Jared’s website uh Jared at uh Jared Slater at uh Slaters sportscards.com get on over there and and check out these products I used to so if you do a monthly subscription like subscribe to it it saves you I think five bucks a month or you can just do onetime purchase so I did have a prescription I had to cancel it just because of funds about a year maybe 16 months ago um but I bought myself the April one so he’s I think he still has some of these April boxes in stock highly recommend it so I’ve taken all the packs out but in particular there were two older Donis packs featured so he gives a list of the featured packs in each month’s box and I saw 85 Donis and 82 Donis I love both of those and I’m like bam okay I’ll get it and then so I’ve kind of sorted things in just priority of like what I feel are kind of the you know the Lesser packs and then I’m going to go in order and then that’s a little better that’s a little better some 89 packs some more 89 uh some 87s and then the early ‘ 80s Fleer there uh Donis I mean so and then may he’s going to have a different mix of packs different mix of the key packs and then some of these other packs will be similar some of these over here and then his featured you know higher-end packs are going to be different for May so get on there buy the April version look out for the May one which he’ll post here in a few days highly recommend this is something that I’m I recommend this over a lot of the other subscription boxes where you get packs I just think you get so much more value and the price is not bad the price point is a lot less than some of these other boxes so get on over there please check it out I’m not even I’m just speaking from my own experience from opening how fun this stuff is so I’m going to open up all these the only thing I’m not going to open from this month’s box is the 88 pack was a rack pack and I’m setting this as side to do in a different rip where I think I’m going to try to do uh a rack pack from every year of tops from 80 to 90 or 78 to 88 but I did need um an 88 rack so I’m going to set this aside this did come in this box I’m not going to open it today um and again you get an older stuff like I I think I mentioned my last video you know some people that I prospected on before I found this this was in a uh a very fancy case this I know I paid 50 bucks for this this I think in his uh sa young year or the year before uh this serial numbered rookie which is still pretty cool I mean that’s why I kept it uh a lot of these other rookies I prospected on on I threw out but um so Barry Zito um SP Black Diamond rookie there so I thought I’d share that just um you know so much of like these newer rookies people are spending thousands on don’t pan out and then my birthday was a couple of weeks ago I didn’t get any gifts so had to treat myself to something even though I should not I always say this I should not be buying anything I’m mostly selling right now this is just one of those iconic cards um 50 Bowman Ted Williams in a three um I think I got it for Mid 3s or high 3es like 360 or so so I it was worth it um this is the I only have two 1950 Bowman and those are my oldest cards other than the t206 I got in one of the uh um really awesome subscription boxes that uh CG was partnering with somebody uh to do uh about a year year and a half ago so that was my birthday gift to me and then one last thing is I’m digging through throwing out consolidating organizing to get ready to move um I thought I had lost these these are awesome this is all like ref but these are magnets I mean isn’t that the cool thing I’ve looked for these again this is something I bought like 15 years ago I can’t find something like this anywhere but they’re magnets of like like a cool iconic card and then look it’s the picture that went into making uh that card it’s also a magnet so an’t that cool so I just thought I’d share those couple of things and now I’m going to get into what everybody wants and let’s you know let’s tear into some stuff so again we’re going to start with these kind of the the I’m going to call them the least exciting packs well probably one of the most least exciting packs is uh uh 88 Donis I had a there was another uh YouTuber who joked that but uh they’re probably still printing these so um and then my next rip also as I’ve been going through stuff I found some another batch of just random older packs so I’ll do that in my my next rip so uh 88 Donis you know we’re I mean the card that I went Bonkers over was the Mark Grace rookie back then um and then uh I don’t remember that picture also Danny Cox Owen nickas saski Lonnie Smith you know other Hall of Famers and stuff are cool uh muscleman uh there’s also the uh glavin rookie in this uh Bob Neer Gary Ward there’s another rookie that I don’t like so I’m not even going to mention him Mr umpire spitter uh Jose lean Palos Jay Aldrich Hackman Jeffrey Leonard puzzles of who was it that year uh musal that’s kind of cool uh Phil Bradley Ken Daly quizenberry I loved quizenberry back then in the 80s Jeff sers Rob Murphy Moler h of Famer I’ll set that aside even though it’s 88 Donis I just you know I still set him aside uh Moler Diamond King B Diaz boy all of these are miscut the same way kind of to the right uh Bud Black to go so I’m going to go this side to this side I kind of in my opinion arranged it from kind of um lesser packs to uh better packs so what do we got here we got uh a leaf let’s do so uh leaf series one what year I’m not going to um oh and the gold leaf rookies and there could be some good stuff in here um let’s see what year what year I got to get my open on camera sorry I’m not going to I’m not going to mess with you know uh fudge something on whatever Leaf year this is so um the fancy puzzle piece I think it was uh yeah KB brew that year so let’s see what year are these uh man am I going to be able to see that 91 are these 91 Leaf yeah 91 Leaf so series one um Jeff Brantley Paul morac uh David con Jeff Treadway Chris James Albert Bell man is that his rookie I don’t know still it’s an year that’s cool hey getting some good cards see I told you look at this I’m starting with what I think are you know consider kind of the junkier of the packs we’re still hitting cool stuff uh I mean not like high dollar or anything but it’s still it’s neat and this look at all these packs you get I I think on the website or what it says like 25 packs um and also you do get an itinerary I toss that when I open this up and I’ve used the boxes you could say it’s heavy for storing sleeved cards as I’ve been like reorganizing I needed another like 600 count box um you just get a lot out of this and the potential to hit some I mean some key rookies anyways um Dennis Martinez Roberto Alamar and rho so it just I guarantee you guys will enjoy this product if you get it uh 92 Fleer Fleer not flare Fleer like Don West used to yell out I actually got suckered into buying some of that stuff off of uh was it it wasn’t home shopping network I think that was shop at home man that stuff you got like this one thing where they said oh you’re guaranteed a 84 tops Marino or Elway rookie and I got a very offc center junky condition um Marino highlights or recordbreaker card from 84 tops like great uh tardal Jose Bautista Reggie Jefferson Lonnie Smith Steve Decker David sige Danny Jackson Jim Linderman candalaria muin man I had a friend in ‘ 89 who talked to me in buy like dozens of this Jeff kungu because I really don’t know a lot of these guys uh just from their pick from tarable Brad Duval Devon white yes no that’s a SM rookie though but unfortunately took the gum oh and he’s all tweaked up and who is this Jimmy Jones a this is another good rookie he can get an 89 but look at that you see he’s all warped because of the gum oh man all right well we still set him aside that’s some months where I’ve hit the key rookies and stuff so um go way back about a year year and a half you’ll see me open more of this and it’s so this is very worth it like I keep saying so um Buddy Bell Ted Simmons coddle gu But blacka Ken daily Toby Hara Fitzgerald Pat Tabler Dawson that’s a cool Dawson the big news that year when he went to the Cubs in ‘ 87 but in his Expos uniform there whoa that was almost a disaster don’t know what happened there exactly uh Wilfong Rick Leech landro Clancy Honeycut and Lopes way late in his career all right come on John Russ let’s hit the Maddox so pretty much so you can end up hitting those but this uh this one the Maddox was not in the update like the other um two manufacturers come on let’s hit the Maddox all right Honeycut Clements Frank again and ashb okay so I didn’t hit real good in my pack so you know there’s some you know a good 82 pack 85 pack and the rest and the rest of his boxes that he has still on his website almost makes me want to buy another but um hope you enjoyed the rip we got you know good stack of stars and Hall of Famers like usual out of these and then pretty much the key rookie was mauled by the gum and the smol but we got a cool griffy there a cool Brett card that I like a lot and just a heck of a lot of fun opening these and like I said there was an 88 Rack in this 88 tops rack I did not open because
