Neeman and Patrick Reed are perfectly
placed can day two match the intensity

if we take a look at the uh pylon here
David a couple of notable names up here
pair of iron heads Kazuma with a 63
Danny Lee with a 64 excellent
performances by them absolutely and
Kazuma uh is 29 years old he’s won a
couple of times on the very competitive
Japanese tour um he he qualified through
the promotions event uh for the Liv golf
league but he’s not used to being there
he’s not used to having these big names
behind him Danny Lee is one that well
you really absolutely have no idea what
Danny Lee is going to do he either
finishes first or last yeah victorious
in Tucson last year he only finished in
the top 24 one of time that was his
third shot at the 10th for Eagle for
Danny Lee and Kazuma who’s previous best
this season after the promotion that
David mentioned was tied 31st in jeda
but he takes the lead into Super
Saturday that was for Eagle at
seven cam Smith that’s this is what the
the masses of come to see him and his
Ripper GC teammates they’re in fifth
place they’re all set to challenge for
the podium or better can Mr birdie put
on 18 he was frustrated with that but
he’s still in contention were you
impressed with how the Rippers dealt
with the pressure yesterday yeah Matt
Jones Mark Lehman Cameron Smith I mean
they all played pretty well that’s for
sure and um it’s going to be interesting
to see how they hold up with uh this
incredible the crow I’ve never seen I
think in 50 years in the game u a city
has embraced a tournament quite like
this one has and there’s a tremendous
amount of pressure on the Australians
there no question about it everywhere
you look it’s live golf on the side of
buses and at the airport this is Cam’s
Eagle putut at 7 a 68 for cam four
underparts so he’s on the fringes of
challenging and we’ll hear from the rest

is beautiful and the crowds are
gathering in their thousands they got to

joins us in the studio fresh from Club
54 the live golf pre round show what’s
it like out there I mean we’re told even
more fans are coming in today yes 35%
more according to the senior executive
in charge of ticket sales completely
sold out for today and uh it’s going to
be fun the weather is going to make it
yesterday it was a little chilly and a
little overcast that’s not prime beer
drinking weather David today
is yeah there there’ll be some consumed
that’s for sure David what what are the
characteristics of the the Aussie crowd
because yeah they’re behind Ripper
they’re behind cam Lehman Jones Herbert
but they just appreciate they seem to
appreciate everybody out there yeah they
I mean they’re sports fans you know
through and through whether it’s
football Cricket rugby golf uh and and
this time as I said you know I was
embraced this tournament to to an extent
that I’ve never seen before they’re
really amazing people respectful noisy
belligerent there a lot of adjectives
you could use to describe them yeah I
was talking to Johnny mlar and newad for
Paul Casey yesterday on the ride back to
the hotel and he said what really amazed
him what what stuck out to him was
in the crowd even when cam or somebody
somebody’s hitting a shot very few
people had their phone up they all
enjoyed the experience and they enjoy
each other more than what we might be
used to seeing back home in the states
it it’s really refreshing well it
certainly set the template for future
live golf events without question it’s
our second visit to Adelaide amazing to
think we’ve only had 4 days of golf here
this is the spiritual home it seems now
of the live golf league
Le well that is the scene live here the
party well and truly underway the
shotgun start here on Super Saturday is
imminent the watering hole is Jam pack
how about the Granny Jack go the
Granny’s absolutely love
that if anything could encapsulate live
golf adelay perfectly it is the granny
show back there you go yes smile granes
don’t lose your
teeth that is absolutely fantastic isn’t
it let’s let’s get back to the golf
action I could pick out a big name John
RAM and it appears to me that if he can
put it
together in a round he’s going to go so
low that he could blow the field away
but there are just those consistent
little mistakes it was a consecutive
bogus yesterday that did for him he’s
still in contention but one day he’s
going to get it all together and go very
low David isn’t he I think it’s not a
question of if but when you know he gets
it together how many Will he win by you
know because he just he hasn’t seem to
you know beiring on all cylinders and
he’s admitted that you know the mistakes
but his attitude has been great and uh
you know he he’s got it in him to go
really low and wouldn’t surprise me if
we see it this weekend yeah I think look
at look at BS I think you know John
hasn’t had that round where he didn’t
have the little I don’t know brain
hemorrage if you will for a hole or two
and he’s talked about it yesterday done
it every single round in live golf yeah
today or tomorrow I think he’ll feed off
the energy of this crowd and it’ll
really really really get I mean he is
alpha male he wants to be alpha male he
wants to be king and uh I think this
week might be the day we see it and what
you were hinting at and a really really
good round out of him good to see
impulse who’s normally quite a shy and
retiring character I mean’s really broad
out his personality isn’t it getting
people going on the watering hole wo
Neeman twice a winner already this
season he’s leading the individual
points race quite convincingly at the
moment and he is in contention again
after an opening round of 67 5 minutes
to go until our shotguns start there is
Cam Smith a 4 par 68 yesterday now it’s
a big week of course for Ripper GC the
all Aussie team well placed after day
one suan hen caught up with them at the
range
earlier we’re just getting ready for day
two here in Adelaide and something
that’s really cool and unique is that we
have this flight deck which is a
twostory
range up here let’s try and find a
ripper because why not they are the home

Mark warming up this is a pretty cool
view isn’t it it is very cool yeah now
we uh got got the guys up here behind us
get a close view of it and um yeah it’s
good to be up hitting over the top of
everyone something very different well
at a home event like this it’s very easy
to want it too much it’s very easy to
try too hard it seems like the mindset
was a little different yesterday did you
guys discuss that between the Ripper
boys yeah we did actually uh last year I
think we tried a bit too hard in that
first round and um the scores showed it
in not the way we wanted it to um so
yesterday we wanted to go out and have
fun um obviously there’s a little bit of
extra pressure but try and just embrace
it and enjoy it and um probably play a
little bit more attacking which we did
and it paid off well do you think being
Australians and having that experience
playing a golf course like this played
to your advantage um yeah I think it’s
definitely if it firms up and the wind
picks up a little bit um it should play
to Advantage a bit but you know at the
end of the day you still have to play
good golf and and make the parts so um
hopefully we can take care of that part
and the conditions can help us out a

but the iron heads who’ve only ever had
one Podium finish are nicely placed on

separated if you’re not really on your
game yeah and you know what’s
interesting iron heads were at last in
greens and regulation and tqu was first
so everything I said about greens and
regulation being the most important
statistic it’s out the window yeah yeah

Carlos Ortiz is the newest member of Tor
GC let’s find out what to watch for with
our course analysts and Dom you’re going
to be following Carlo’s group what are
you expecting from him today after such
a great Friday well since the end of f
he’s been playing Great Golf he won in
Oman he was 10th in maau he was one shot
out of a playoff in Hong Kong his stroke
average at in that period
67.3 five it’s not a name that sticks
out but certainly not a name to ignore
this week the guy that all these fans
are out here to watch is Cam Smith he is
the home favorite this week great
opening round yesterday I caught up with
this caddy cam uh Sam pinfold earlier
and he said that cam playing some really
consistent golf at the Masters he pared
36 of his last uh 32 of his last 36
holes and he just haven’t really quite
been on a run and if he can make some
putts today he can certainly go on a run
and contend so and Dom thank you very
much indeed just over a minute too until
our shotgun start here on Super Saturday
at the gra in Adelaide and look at the
throng around the first T big day for
janich ok Kazuma nine under pass 63
yesterday he’s got his family with him
on the LI Golf League circuit for the
first time he said he wanted to impress
them boy did he it looks pretty relaxed
behind those Shades as well chewing his
gum there promoted from the promotions
event in Abu Dhabi Before Christmas
Peter Uline solid yet again uh seven
under pass 65 for him and the big men
John RAM and cam Smith who are in
contention after day one Ripper GC would
love to Delight the crowd here as well
with a team

yesterday we saw massive crowds
following around but he was playing with
Cam Smith today massive crowds following
around
yeah that’s very nice start that is a
power Fade with emphasis on
power 182 ball speed to the T at one
Carlos Ortiz an eight on the pass 64
yesterday for Carlos who said he was a
little rusty in the opening couple of
events where he didn’t really feature in
Mexico and Las Vegas but he’s slowly
getting his game together he says he’s
very happy with how he’s playing at the
moment and he’s in contention after day
one

these conditions hits a low flat ball
gets a lot of run on

Kazuma big day for jinichiro Kazuma
looks like he’s taking it all in his
stride Ogie free yesterday an eagle and
seven birdies nine under power of 63 and
he gets the honor of teeing off at the
first and David a player in his
position this could be a huge week in
order to avoid the uh promotion event
again next year I mean this could be a
career defining week if he’s able to
continue to play the same yeah and a
beautiful t-shot there at the first
that’s a great start
excellent start for Patrick Reed
yesterday seeking a first live golf
league Victory individually would you
believe five under power after day one
and he tees off at the par for
fourth big difference there ball staying
short of the bunker and in a really nice
live versus getting into these Fairway
bunkers with the big
lips cam sees off at five
anab banir he finished in second place
to Taylor G here last
year seven under par after round one and
he tees off at the PA 3
third oh what a beauty
Adrian getting things started at
the watering hole the 12th yeah and you
see this whole location it is right for
an ace right down below the hill front
right of the green Arlo we’re going to
see one today maybe
two by the way this is fairly quiet
compared to what it’s going to be like
in a couple of hours time Super Saturday
is underway at the Grange in Adelaide
well we have our first rolling of the
day gentlemen on the first hole
Yeah meanwhile Ian poter at the party
hall got them going with the wave a
little earlier can he back it up with a
decent t- shot

can they’re even cheering for

need a bit of a boost tied for 12th
after day one on three under to put that
into context it’s 17 shots back of to K
who are in first
place three scores counting out of the
four on Friday and Saturday before
tomorrow’s charge to the Finishing Line
when all four scores count
well
uh whenever somebody’s getting a ruling
like
this quite often the other two will go
ahead and play looks like Mark lechman
will this is at the fourth
said he changed his course management
yesterday Mark Lehman Having learned a
lesson from last year when Ripper GC
finished in eighth place he said he was
too conservative last year said there
are so many birdies out there he was far
more aggressive and that approach
certainly paid
off so Carlos Ortiz this is his
situation not the start I imagine Dom
that he was after today no he hit it
into almost hit it into a big dpin but
he’s in the fan Village here we’re just
waiting for a rules official Here Comes
David Blake running away but I’m not not
sure where they’re going to be able to
drop may have to go towards the third
hole how far off the Fairway are we here
actually he’s not that far Jerry this
fan Village is only probably 15 20 yards
the fence from the edge of first Fairway

the fan village where he’s going to drop

the man who won in Tucson last year via

playoff wasn’t far away at all but only
managed one other top 24 finish so ended
the season on 41 points but he starts it
well in Adelaide who stay in at 16 that
gets his day started
nicely and I under within Striking
Distance he talking to Paul Casey
yesterday David we’re talking about 54
holes versus 72 which has kind of been a
topic of conversation yesterday as we
watched Kazuma try to start his day with
another birdie of course wow of course
but Paul said uh he said the thing about
54 in some respects makes it better out
here makes it tougher cuz you can’t
shoot 71 72 the first day and still win
like you could in a fourr round of
it that was an eagle attempt for Brooks
at nine bit of work to do for his birdie
Kazuma 10 under par now only 24 puts
yesterday only one so far today and he’s
got the iron heads to a tie with to K in
the early stages on Saturday 20 underpar
oh he never saw where it ended up from
where he was playing from but he was
absolutely
delighted this is a good

programs to bring a group of Junior
golfers down to the Grange Golf Club to
experience an inclusive golf Clinic
while here they also enjoyed a nature
walk led by Nature play South Australia
teammates is a new Australian Junior
Golf Community supporting young players
by giving them a chance to access all
types of golf across the continent the
my golf program is the entry level learn
to play program of Australian golf with
more than 33,000 participants to date
through the support of live golf
thousands of children from disadvantaged
backgrounds will become members of one
of the two programs over the course of
the next year helping to transform the
game right here in
Australia there’s your next
rippers in that group more from the
clicks Martin kimer is their Captain
transforming the game he said well
played to the clicks and all the teams
are get involved with the local
communities wherever we are across the
world

beautiful this is the Sixth and you can

extraordinary shot for cam a long way

a Big M hit for cam started out so
strong on a fifth now this is a
difficult up and down ball semi plugged
oh not a lot of green to work with

oh well there’s no way you can get they
can’t run it through these

was a similar golf course in this in the
way it played you know pretty firm and
fast and windy and he was magnificent
there this looks good if it’s got the
right distance
just a little bit short maybe half a
club downwind didn’t want to risk
knocking it over the green into bogey
land Danny Lee he only sees one thing
this guy that’s the
pin he had wrist surgery in the
offseason didn’t swing a club for two
months he’s been working hard with his
coach and Paddy in Las Vegas morning
noon and night he said recently to
improve his fortunes and it’s paying off
Ste gets it to two back steel knocks one
in at four here’s Bubba over at the
ninth oh and that’s what Dom was talking
about these power fives are going to see
some action on them today

refreshing seems have the pace down
too doesn’t seem to be particularly
perturbed by nerves in the early stages

noticed that during the promotions event
in a playoff for I mean the biggest
biggest prize in his entire career would
be status and a position within Li Golf
and he he looked equally as calm as he
does now with the
lead Mark leechman for birdie at five
the Aussies appreciating that very much
indeed Carlos Ortiz at the second to get
a shot closer to janiro

line these guys are usually scare it

two absolutely Arlo he said yesterday in
a post round interview that he felt like
he left some shots out there while
following him on the front line so far
he has not left any shot out there he is
on fire he’s taking full advantage of
the conditions today he’s playing very
aggressively but coming into his back
nine he’s going to hit some pretty tough
holes as well but with today’s win it
might play to his Advantage I’m
following this last group and what
stands out to me is how loose and
carefree they look they don’t look
intimidated at all and they’re playing
some good golf kazumo had a couple of
loose ones but uh that eagle on the on
the night nth hole there that’s going to
give him a huge boost I think all three
players are going to keep playing well
and they’re going to make some birdies
on the back nine highlights from the

like this I mean you reckon that they’re

players and I said do they enjoy playing
amongst a crowd like that where there’s
so many people and it’s so loud and so

share that same pace of play and that
same kind of Outlook about the game is
something that’s helping them
collectively yeah I think so uh Jerry
you know when when you play in a
threesome and one player or two players
are really slow the guy who’s a quick
player you just lose your Rhythm but
they’re not losing their Rhythm at all
they’re over the ball within 10 15
seconds their ball’s in the air after
the other guy hit so I think it
definitely helps them and this kid Jenny
Kazuma is just extraordinary Dom he’s
won a couple of times in the Japanese
tour but he’s showing tremendous
maturity out here he has and one of the
big ones he won in Japan was the Visa
tah Masters that’s a pretty good field
assemble there he doesn’t look afraid at
all and I’ve watched him a lot on the
Asian tour and he’s been in contention
there many times and his swing doesn’t
ever seem to shorten it’s always that
long flowing swing and that’s a good

thing in uh in five rounds of
competitive golf here is you can’t take

crowd is is incredible I mean it’s so
big and so supportive uh which I find to
be just fantastic um they’re they’re
having a great time and and they’re
really treating us very well looking for
your first win tomorrow on the Liv
League what part of your game needs to
be on for you to get the W yeah so the
thing that I’m working on right now is
I’m trying to play freely uh normally I
play a little bit more conservative and
I kind of try to make sure that I don’t
make mistakes and over the last couple
weeks I’ve been trying to really hard to
play freely which I did really nicely
today and hopefully I can do again
tomorrow you and your team are renting a
house staying together have you had fun

together and um we’ve been watching a

think um there’s some changes there that
uh needed to be made and um it was kind
of a little bit um crappy there for a
little bit but um yeah it’s it’s
starting to feel really nice and um it’s
it’s nice to be able to add that as as
another weapon but there’s still some uh
there’s still some work to be to be done
well compared to last year it seemed
like this year coming into this week
you’ve got a very different mindset
you’re in a different head space did the
experience from last year help you
prepare better um yeah I think so I
think experience is um is everything um
you know particularly around golf
courses like this I learned some stuff
around the around the uh around the golf
around the golf course but also just
kind of had to handle the the noise so
um yeah it’s been really good I think
all the boys have done a really good job
this week and um yeah we got a few up

he’s had an eight shot difference from
yesterday this is all a very new
experience for him it’s his first time
here playing in front of such a crowd
how proud are you of him and how proud
are you of the rest of the boys yeah
it’s um we were kind of trying to prep
him um coming into here and I don’t
think he he knew what to expect um but
it it’s good to see him playing well
again he’s had a he had a tough week in
Miami and um obviously a tough start
yesterday but um he’s such a good gol
for it can turn around like that we all

Smith on 11 under Patrick Reed seeking a
first title as well 11 under alongside
Dean burm who won last time out in
Miami maybe even Charles how and Andy
Ogle tree Brooks keper a good day for
him today with a 66 isn’t out of it
Peter Uline perhaps a little
disappointed with a level par uh 72
today after his
65 yesterday
and cam is giving out the
souvenirs I’m sure he’ll be on the stage
with fiser at the uh the post
round concert tonight but torqu lead the
team event they haven’t finished outside
the top five so far this season the only
team to do so but they yet to win this
get them off the mark for 2024 that was
Captain Neiman birdie at six and then an
eagle at
13 very consistent this year
Tor Mito Pereira is playing superbly as
well he is 12 under par only two back of
Brendan steel that was his second shot
into
18 Sebastian Muno contributed today
this is for birdie at
10 all four scores of course count on
Championship Sunday so this is how it
stand look at that at the top 35 under
for Tor K they lead by one over the High
Flyers Ripper and the iron heads 33
under Stinger by no means out of it and
we’ve seen The Crushers come back from
bigger deficits than seven shots on the
final day
oh the crowds will be back tomorrow in
their tens of thousands in excess of a
100,000 fans here over the course of
three days quite remarkable this is the
international uh Series
standings uh early on in that season
caros Ortiz of course already a live
golf play but the winner of that uh
order of Merit will get a live golf card
for next year
wow what a day of golf what a day of
action Adelaide just continues to
deliver for the live golf league and
actually look the the Aussies who felt
the pressure last year finishing in
eighth place cam did well individually
but Lucas Herbert today really brought
it Matt Jones very good how good is it
going to be David tomorrow with Cam in
contention with maybe Matt Jones in
contention and Ripper for the team title
yeah I mean both the team and the
individual it’s really anybody’s game
any of the the top 10 I think uh you
know in in both categories we’re going
to be watching them very closely
tomorrow it’s a sort of golf course you
know that run in the middle of those
four par fives we can see huge changes
there Jerry and uh I expect we probably
will yeah the hard part from coming back
from maybe uh four five six shots back
individually is you have so many great
players to pass uh with the team
competition counting all four scores I
take anybody all the way down to maybe
Legion at 23 under they’re 12 back that
is not that is not out of the question
at all steel a word about him an
excellent round today of 64 yeah
fabulous I mean and he talked about
playing freely and that’s what GRE
players do you know when it matters uh
the most they can play you know as if it
doesn’t matter at all you know you allow
yourself to play golf when you play well
they haven’t invented a course it’s too
tight for the way Brendan steel plays
golf it’s all about Precision he doesn’t
wow you with power and and and crazy
finesse on spinning shots he just hits
it as straight as you can point cam a
real Ambassador for the Liv golf league
and for Australian golf huge day for him
tomorrow he is in contention so are his

have ever seen uh and joining me today
taking off his CEO and commissioner hat
as co-host thank you so much Greg Norman
for joining us and Brendan Steele thank
you as well for joining us at the top of
the show and congratulations on your
amazing day uh 100,000 people were
expecting throughout the week Greg I
want to start with you before we get
into your day Brendan how does it feel
to see this event grow so
quickly look I I think just one word I’m
very proud of it right I mean proud for
what Adela stepped up I’m proud of what
the the premere um Pete melanowski he
was melanowski excuse me he actually
believed in us right from the beginning
and he wanted us to be here so to see it
all take place place in a very very
short period of time is rewarding then
to get the feedback I’ve walked around
every day with everybody and you having
over 90 plus thousand people around here
following great players like brandan and
everybody else it’s uh it’s rewarding
now uh Brendan thank you for joining us
again congrats on your day I heard you
talk with dom a little bit after you but
I would love for you to tell the fans
here just how did your day go yeah I
mean it was it was a really great day
obviously the energy of the crowd is
fantastic uh the fans are so supportive
and they’re having such a great time
time I mean it’s it’s nice when you can
hit some good shots for him and put on a
little bit of a show now uh did that uh
Watering Hole over there disappoint you
today no not at all and uh I mean I hit
a nice shot there today too which was
really great now we have some highlights
of your day here we would love for you
to talk us through it and of course Greg
give us some of your sauce too Bryan
still ladies and gentlemen yeah I don’t
know what hole this is on three on three
oh this was the start of the day so four
iron had a really slippery putt there
and uh it was nice to start with a two
on that hole it’s one of the harder
holes and this is one from four from the
fourth okay yeah and then on four so um
pins tucked over on the right there had
pitching wedge in hit it close um your
bir on eight oh yeah eight thought I hit
a good shot there thought I hit it a
little closer but was able to run it in
from 22 ft or so there so off to a hot
start this was 10 yeah I was work been
working hard on my bunker game Phil’s
really helped me a ton and uh it’s it’s
been showing quite a bit with shots like
that
there’s the watering hole we were
talking about baby so a little amped up
and so take take a little less club and
hit it hard and was able to get the
number right so that was really nice now
I would assume uh playing in front of
these fans with all of the noise uh
would help you but is it ever a
distraction at any time when there’s
pressure on you you know I mean we put
enough pressure on ourselves but uh
having the support of the fans here
they’ve been so great they’ve been so
supportive and and having such a great
time that uh it’s just really good
energy and it’s it’s easy to get going
yeah look I think with these guys
Brandon would would it uh be a test to
it that you get into a zone right when
you’re playing really well you’re
focused you’re in that zone you really
you see him but and you hear him but you
don’t really see and hear him well
you’re talking about your shot execution
and going forward to the next next shot
next shot so you did that brilliantly
and the golf course is obviously giving
it up a little bit too right you can
play pretty aggressive around either the
fairways you can spin them and no matter
where the whole location is and I
noticed on 12 there which is a new whole
location because last year we didn’t
have it there you know you can you can
be a bit aggressive with it Greg I go
ahead go ahead no for sure um you can
definitely spin it from the Fairway if
you’re in the Fairway if you’re in the
trees then you’re really struggling
around this place but yeah if you hit
the Fairway you can definitely get it
close my question to you Greg and you
can obviously chime in on this is just
how important is michelson’s mentorship
to the team well I think Phil takes that
role on but I see brilliantly he’s been
that way when you hear some of the we
had a wonderful session last night with
the panel that he was on and the way he
talks about what Liv represents to him
and what golf has done for him you know
he wants to instill it he wants to put
it into his team members right and and
to Brenan look he’s one of the best
short game players in the history of the
game of golf right big statement to make
but it’s factual um so if you can impart
one or two messages on to your team
member or even others to learn from the
game of golf that’s that’s what paying
it forward is all about yeah Brendon for
you you and your caddy seemed just in
the zone today you seem like a real team
today you want to talk about how you
guys went through things today yeah I
mean Chris has been with me for nine
years now so we know each other very
well um he knows what I like what I
don’t like and um he knows when to chime
in and when to slow me down when to you
know pump me up so um it’s uh it’s just
a it’s a great partnership on and off
the course like um I feel very close to
him as a friend and and want the best
for him as well so we really help each
other now uh here’s some shots of of you
guys uh chatting here can you can you uh
you’re reading the putts here I believe
yeah yeah the process he helps me a ton
with my putting especially on the longer
putts and if I’m not seeing it clearly
um he kind of checks my line and helps
me to to get the right line to match the
speed cuz the greens are very quick here
so if you’re not playing enough break
then you know the ball can get away from
you pretty quick Greg you know a lot
about this course um I would love for
you to just talk about this course and
what these guys have been facing the
last two days well look I think the golf
course is a position golf course you got
to get in play like Brandon said if
you’re on The Fairway you can spin it
you’re can attack some the greens got a
little bit of moisture in it because of
this time of year so you can get at it
but it like I said it’s a positional
play goal of course get in the right
place understanding where the whole
locations are a lot of these green
locations look intimidating because the
bunkers look very intimidating visually
uh but at the same time if you’re it’s
it’s a one of those go of course in the
world if you’re always whole high you’re
going to be in a good stad right and so
if you’re anywhere above the hole like
Brandon said the greens are very very
fast now you got some issues with you
sometimes that break that looks like
maybe 10 Ines might be 20 in so you
really got to understand how to play the
golf course thank you Greg all right
Brendon before you go we do this thing
called form check we have our fans
submit their swings and then we have you
check their form Greg I love when you
chime in too you ready for this you down

we go first one’s up all right what do
you think about this how’s the form
looking they’re asking yeah not bad it
looks like a lot of arms to me Greg what
do you think yeah totally no body motion
there it’s all arms all arms actually
yeah so a little more body a little more
rotation okay you don’t have to be nice
by the way that is be
nice all right here’s another one right
here all right fader off the te yeah not
bad it looks like weit a little back at
a dress like he’s sitting back behind
him a little bit Yeah and then and
that’s arms are too far away from him so
therefore he’s going to get in a
situation where the club arms and clubs
might get stuck behind him which will be
an issue but he he’s definitely
squatting too much like he’s trying to
take a dump you know he should be doing
that wow I love that analogy he too nice
now no that’s exactly what I wanted

don’t know it’s a bad angle balance into
single figures now was that that’s a
little like Scotty Sheffer type leg kick
there but I don’t think he’s going to be
as effective there was a leg kick there

a well what I’d say about that swing
yeah it’s like um it’s different number
one uh number two he’s he’s got to get
his right shoulder going back right the
right shoulder stops and the arms keep
going and that creates a bit of an issue
for him all right we have one more you

rooting for him you can certainly feel
the love not just for him but really uh

especially when they’re playing so well

them and it is really great to to see
that yeah he said in his uh press
conference that he watched Taylor gu
tapes from last year and all he wanted
to do was mimic that this year and as I
watched him today it seemed like he just
kept his calm and his cool the entire
enre time today uh did you notice that
yeah absolutely I think in the post
round interview we chatted about about
sort of the experience that he he got
from last year he knew better what to
expect in terms of how to handle himself
with the crowd with the pressure with
the uh you know everyone wanting
everything and everything from him uh so
he’s certainly have managed that a lot
better but he’s also really very focused
he’s a very different uh person getting
into this week he’s played well in the
Masters he’s played so consistent uh all
year round and really just starting to
string everything together he said
yesterday that oh I left some putts out
there he felt like he left a few out
there not so much today uh he had full
control over his game over his mind and
he seems just so focused and it’s going
to be a really really interesting
Championship Sunday well let’s take a
look at his highlights then here’s cam
Smith all right take us through it suan
you got to see a lot of this up close
and personal yeah this is his starting
hole his second shot into the fifth that
is one way to start your round he
certainly felt like he was trying to
make a statement today I spoke to his
coach Grant field out there and he said
cam was certainly trying to go as low as
he could today he knew he had to because
of just the caliber of players out here
and perfect scoring condition this is a
fantastic one here as well bogey free so
far cam through 36 holes not exactly
easy to do out here this is the 17th his
second shot right up that hill pin
seeking all day long it just goes to
show how confident he is just the way he
had attacked the whole locations the way
and the line that he picked off the tea
his driver there he is on the Range he
did exactly the same thing yesterday
post round he went to the range really
tried to get a feel of his swing again
uh he did the same thing yesterday he’s
probably going to head to the putting
green in a minute here just to roll a
few
putts a bit different from from someone
like a John ROM you know John ROM
doesn’t hit to the range he doesn’t
practice if he’s had a good round right
he’s the kind of guy that kind of likes
to go into the next day with a bit of
confidence whereas cam he likes to
practice whether he’s a good day or Bad
Day right here’s some cam Smith social
media the granny Shack waiting on whole
five for K Smith he’s got a huge fan
base here and they are creative oh yeah
I was actually right there and I saw the
granny Shack and they were just so
enthusiastic they had so much love for
Cam and you know what kudos to cam even
during the start of his round he gave
them a nice little wave and said hi yeah
I want the backstory on the granny Shack
I need more about that and look out for
the Rippers here’s a tweet here and man
these guys look at watching that’s Meo
Perera by the way the entire tqu team we
haven’t pointed that out in our main
broadcast all of them decided to go with
a mullet this week as well as the stash
really repping cam Smith here in
Australia that’s one way to get some
fans they even had matching outfits at
the welcome party oh yeah I don’t know
if you noticed that and here’s The
Watering Hole uh how was your experience
at the watering hole oh my goodness you
know last year it was amazing this year
we topped it I mean
the energy out there is much bigger
there’s LED and the walkway the tunnel
the energy the crowd everyone knew
exactly what to expect and I tell you
what the guys out there are having so
much fun it’s so loud I can’t hear the
broadcast okay so here are some of the
highlights from the crowd at the
watering hole ad WAVE clean wave right
there very clean that is uh a 10 out of
10 I think they sang along word for word
every single song as each guy came out
there check out that m a lot of mullet
action going on out there a whole lot of
really interesting dance moves shirks
being lifted up shoes left and right and
the cam Smith entrance is probably my
favorite thing of the day uh so I want
to talk about C Smith again uh something
that was also mentioned in the press
conference it was said it’s when you
want something so bad sometimes it can
get in the way of your mental it can
almost make it a little harder when
everyone is behind you everyone is
supporting you and everyone wants to see
you win especially if it’s your hometown
right oh yeah how does he conquer such
mental gymnastics that he’s probably
going through right now in Australia
well I mean I said that on the main
broadcast you know last year he didn’t
really know what to expect in terms of
crowd and it came and everyone just
loved him and he was doing so much on
and off the golf course I think a lot of
people that don’t really get to see cam
on a weekly basis he does almost triple
the amount of stuff this week outside
the golf course for example yesterday
after practice he had to go attend a
dinner he had to do this he had to sign
autographs he’s spending extra time with
people he’s got family he’s got friends
here it’s a lot and it’s really
difficult to really keep your focus uh
shot by shot and really keep to your
process it takes a lot of discipline and
I think that is the main difference that
he’s done this year heading into adate
this week he’s really got himself in the
right head space
and he’s prepped exactly the way that he
needed to coming into to El now you
mentioned John ROM earlier I know you
didn’t follow him today but what’s
what’s your take on his state right now
after coming out of day two yeah you
know johnin hasn’t had his best game yet
he’s been contending the last five
events including right here in Adelaide
um I know he’s started out really slow
today but then managed to really uh pull
himself together and come back really
strong let’s say take a look at some
highlights some John ROM highlights here
for you suan yeah this is a birdie on
the
fourth rolling that in I tell you what
the greens are so perfect out here at
the gra this is his second here on the
par
five7 that’s right drove to the left
side had to hit a high
draw and look at
that what a shot I mean he’s a Spaniard
so shot shaping for him around here is
is uh is easy comes very very naturally
to him and this is a birdie on the ninth
just sliding that one in making that
look easy oh
yeah and this is a 12th hole
this party hole he talked about how much
he loved it yesterday oh he gave the
crowd a little something to cheer for as
well today crowd was uh absolutely
insane uh today suan you were great

was able to catch up with Lucas Herbert
earlier this week take a look at
this something I also found out about
you is your love for music specifically
you collect guitars when I say I collect
guitars I just end up buying more than I
really need I wouldn’t say I’m
collecting any rare pieces I just end up
with a lot of guitars so I I double I’m
definitely not a professional I won’t be
playing in front of any audience anytime
soon but we’ll make that happen I do I
do enjoy when I am home plugging the
guitar in and trying to play some stuff
and I would say with my golf game I’m
quite artistic so I feel like the music
side of things it just helps feed into
that a little bit and just you know take
your mind off golf what’s the most
famous or the nicest guitar that you own
have you recently bought for yourself I
think I was at the US Open last year I
went to a shop called Norman’s rare
guitars in LA and I bought a offender
Stratocaster that is a replica of Eddie
Van Halen’s guitar back in the day so oh
that’s going to be pretty cool it’s
really really cool like if you play
anything that’s kind of down a a Van
Halen sort of sound you can make it
sound really really good so I love that
thing I love playing it oh I need to I
need to look at that I need you need to
take a picture and show it yeah for sure
it’s Club 54 post round show in just a
few minutes we’ll uh talk to our good
friends Jerry folz and Don Boule who got
to follow around Iron Head GC there’s
cam Smith with the ultimate Swagger and
hopefully he’ll have another great day
tomorrow there’s the fans getting really
excited there with Cam doesn’t look like
he’s planning on leaving here anytime
soon he just was at the driving range
he’s going to head over to putting and

Dom you had yourself a day I did I did I
was following
uh Kazuma I think the first round
leader I got pulled off so uh yeah
Carlos Ortiz and Danny Lee and they all
played pretty well you know and they
played quickly so it was fun to watch
them I I think uh as I watch those guys
to see them keep that lead and to stay
confident and calm throughout the day
it’s not easy to do right what was
something you noticed about that well
it’s not easy because they’re kind of
the unheralded players on this league
because we have so many superstars here
but they’ve played with a with great
composure all three of them but they
were focused and uh I still think you
know Danny Lee he’s an aggressive player
uh he’s one of these players you just
don’t know what he’s going to do he’s
going to he could win tomorrow he’s had
a win already here and uh here we are
looking at him there yes let’s take a
look that was a really aggressive t-
shot he hit on the fourth everybody else
is hit nines there he pulled out a drive
hit a great shot watch
this watch this how close did this go
from yes I remember this
one it doesn’t get much closer than that
dog no it doesn’t we like those and it
off like it’s nothing I like that that’s
my favorite
part and remember Dom he did all this
with a double bogey back at five yeah he
did he was a little careless out of the
trees there was in thick rough just
didn’t hit it hard
enough this Bunker play is spectacular
and watch this he was a little unlucky
here
also spun back bit more than he wanted
but he made the
PT yeah so Kazuma dropped off just a
little bit what would you say went wrong
for him today you know he he hadit a
couple of loose ones early on he hit
some PS but he he gets he tends to get a
little under and he pushes his uh his t-
shots or his long irons and they kind of
float up there but uh he he just had a
had a big mistake on on 15 where he hit
it over the back and there was like a 10
15 minute ruling and it just took him
off his rhythm overall iron heads have
have been doing a great job here in
Adelaide how much confidence and promise
do you think that gives them going into
the final day I think a lot you know I
mean they’re all playing pretty well uh
they’re looking for their first win
they’re they’re The Underdogs no one’s
going to think that they’re the ones who
are going to win tomorrow but all four
of them on the Sunday all four scores
count they got to throw in some good
numbers
uh Kazuma watching on TV and you made
the point early he looked very
comfortable out there he looked
comfortable on the first day he was
given that gum work out but he looked
comfortable that was uncharted waters
for him do you think the the finish
today was maybe I don’t know I’m asking
you a question I should be able to
answer but I I want to know you were
right there with him did did it feel
like the sense of the moment might have
got to him a little bit this is some I
mean he’s won some big events he has
he’s one two in Japan and he’s contended
many many times uh yeah I mean you know
we’ve been around long enough Jerry I
think you easy yeah you’re a little bit
longer than me by the way easier all
right we’ll talk a little bit yeah we’ll
talk a little bit more but first we have
to toss it over to someone we didn’t

out there today dropped one shot
yesterday you shot one over you weren’t
happy I spoke with your coach D and he
said you did some work after the round y
can you talk to us about what you did on
the pting green to get ready to shoot
low today yeah so I think yesterday we
sort of got some disconnect through my
basically shoulders and arms and my body
so it was quite like yeah as you sort of
as I sort of say like disconnected out
that way so we just wanted to I
basically did a lot of did a lot of
putting last night with towels or
alignment sticks under my arms just to
try and feel like everything kind of
work together the shoulders sort of work
together with a poter face and that was
really my feel all day I basically just
tried to feel like this right elbow
stayed tucked in and as long as it
stayed there and didn’t get any space
away from my body I was very confident I
was going to start online and why is the
connection important is that for the
strike for people at home yeah strike
start line everything like it’s just
it’s very important that you move the
Potter with your big muscles you don’t
want to be moving it with your hands
with your wrists with your like anything
basically anything below the shoulders
they they’re kind of your connection
point to the Potter and that’s your feel
but that’s about it that everything
everything down here just kind of moves
as it naturally should and the bigger
muscles are what sort of just moves the
Potter from point A to point B go on
let’s see one that wasn’t one no that
wasn’t my finest
and let’s also talk a little bit about a
mentality so if you know you’ve got to
go out make seven eight nine birdies
like a lot of the field are how does
that affect what you think about yeah
the mentality is important I think like
you have to match it right because it
you can’t just get too aggressive you
can’t just fire at everything and you
know cuz it’ll you’ll you’ll undo pretty
quick like obviously you shoot one over
yesterday you’re probably not in the
best form of your last so you can’t be
firing at pens that you probably
wouldn’t be firing at if you were
leading the tournament so you have to
get it right you have to make sure you
pick your spots to be aggressive um but
I think it’s the mindset of you know
when you get to four five under it’s not
about protecting that score anymore you
want to keep going further and further
on par which I think every guy on on the
Range here will tell you they try and do
but whether they subconsciously do it
that can be another thing now Dom as a
party I’ve got to get his name right
mentioned that you had some drills here
so can you tell everyone about those at
home and then also there’s 5ft circle
around the hole you’re going to give
away all your secrets here yeah I know
um yeah so this is well you’ve actually
come to our potting station this morning
it’s still left here so um yeah we have
a we have a mat with an arc so a 12
degre Arc that we just um run the Potter
through So that obviously means that
that makes sure that the Potter is sort
of on plane so I’m never never putting
into our out and anything like that so
you can you can trust that once you
leave this station the fundamentals are
good you just need to you need to take
it out here and just hit pops you know
start them on lines everything like that
and then yeah this is my this is my 5ot
drill it’s been kind of put on social
media at various times but we’ve got I
think it’s 12 spots around the hole so
basically a clock face um and you
obviously got to get the whole way
around making every single part now
you’re allowed to miss one and that ball
stays on that te and you keep going you
get around here you hold the straight up
he po again then you have to hold the
one that you missed wow to finish the
drill so I do that before every round as
much of a it’s good for the Reps and um
you know to feel like you’re obviously
getting a bit more out there and hitting
some parts ver is just doing mechanical
work it’s also really good for my green
reading so I can kind of reference these
points when I get to a 5-footer out in
the course to go okay well you know this
is the straight line so if I’ve got this
part here I know it’s going to be
reasonably close to the straight line
it’s probably going to be pretty
straight versus if I get over to this
part this couldn’t be further away from
the straight line and I know whatever
slope the ball the hole is on it’s going
to do the most breaking you know in in
this entire circle from this point here
so that’s that’s sort of the purpose of
that drill from um you know before round
I do it in all my practice days we
stretch it to six in my off week 6 feet
in off we to practice there so um yeah
that’s kind of that’s all my secrets for
and a little Betty told me you hold all
12 this morning yeah we struggled big
time with it yesterday and had to sort
of had to go all right we’ll have a
couple of goes at this one and a couple
of goes at that one to get through it
but yeah today we made uh we made them
all so that was obviously a good start
to the day and probably gave me some
confidence that the work we’ just done
um you know had been reain forced nicely
Lucas you’re a legend so everyone at
home get your fundamentals right here
then get into your performance Zone
exactly and you could have eight birdies
like you well yeah when when you do a
shoy easy you going to do a shoy today h
I’m avoiding it at all cost but
hopefully I don’t get put in a situation
where I have to well if rip a GC win
tomorrow I’ll do one with you deal thank

tomorrow after the show I was just
impressed by the matching matching
outfits Jerry yeah it’s very good how
about Lucas Herbert who also had an
incredible day today he did eight shots
better than round one that’s pretty
incredible and something what happened
to him yesterday is something that can
happen very easily around here you feel
like you have to shoot a really low
number because so many players are
making birdies but so many players are
on top of their game and if you’re just
a little bit off around the grain that
Ball’s going to run away from the hole
run away from the green missing Fairways
by just a little bit you’re not making
doubles and triples like we saw back at
at uh Dural because of all the water
hazards and all the different penalty
areas but here you’re not going to be
able to make the birdies you’re going to
struggle to make par so I think uh what
he did today was he got off to a much
better start got the confidence going a
little bit and like he just told Rachel
he kept the pedal to the metal and
wanted to continue to keep going deeper
and deeper and deeper and it sounds
instinctive to a professional golfer to
always want to shoot the best score you
can but there’s this thing called a
comfort zone and you get to a certain
level and then you don’t want to screw
up a really good round he uh he’s able
to ditch the comfort zone to the side
because of the course because of the
leaderboard because of the energy from
the fans and put together a really
really great round to golf well we’ve
got some long putts from the day Jerry I
would love to hear from you how how we
can uh take a look at some of the uh big
ones from today how important is it to
read the greens from today look at this
you just doing it I mean it takes cre
ity and and childlike uh childlike
imagination that was DJ wasn’t it yeah
DJ at the at the watering hole in number
12 here you got and janich OK Kazuma
started off so nicely with the putter
even the ones that didn’t go in were
perfect speed and we thought he was
going to fill it up from everywhere he
almost made one from off the green just
after that Putt and here’s

fle so what’s the key of holding putts
speed speed speed is always the key
especially when you get greens that are
rolling uh right near by the end of the
day right about 13 could be almost a
foot faster tomorrow um it’s all about
uh speed and when they’re this fast you
have to give yourself the maximum uh
borrow if you will you have to play the
highest possible break so that you’re
not charging them three and 4T by and
really taxing yourself mentally on those
comebackers time after time you leave
enough of them you’re going to miss a
few and Jerry look at the fans right now
getting ready for DJ Fisher we saw those
clips last year of Cam Smith doing a
shoy live on stage in front of everybody
J you going over there or uh you know
I’m going to leave that to the younger
to the kids but I I can promise you that
Lucas Herbert doesn’t have a chance in
the world of avoiding doing a shoey
tonight and just think if if if by
chance rippers come through tomorrow and
win this thing there’s going to be a lot
of people in Adelaide who call in sick
on
Monday that I definitely agree with you
can bet uh David farity has seen his
share of weird things uh during his
decades in and around the game but the
watering hole here at the Grange
actually made him say WTF
one of the things I like to do early in
the week before any event is to stride
the links in a masculine fashion getting
the lay of the land so to speak you know
the quiet before the storm and on this
the 12th green we hope that a massive
one is

happened to me 11 times although I don’t

surprise and part Joy but when it
happens on this elevated green well it’s

oh and Chase ker has delivered Liv came
to Adelaide because of the promise of
passionate fans and boy did this place
deliver turning a golf course into a
festival and one golf hole into a disco
so here’s to seeing shirtless fat guys
waving their clothes in celebration
shoes turning into beer mugs and one of
Liv’s finest hammering his t-shot to the
bottom of the hole on that first swing
glonium was great but we’re hoping to
leave Adelaide with something just a
little more
exciting a brilliant feature by David
fared at WTF and uh a lot of shoes I
don’t know how he did that without
falling over first and foremost Jerry
but uh it’s not his shoe no that we saw
a bunch of people including DJ Fisher
doing shoes out of that very same
shoe maybe you know maybe they
manufacture shoy mugs and that’s
actually like plastic or glass inside
we’re just going to tell ourselves that
to uh to be able to deal with this here
but I love it I absolutely love it and
you promised so oh I’m happy to do a
shoey matter of fact bring them on you
don’t want to do a shoey in a high top
though because it’s just too much beer
all right David far was talking about
that watering hole with the holes in one
we had so many moments from The Watering
Hole here are the best shots Jerry take
a look there’s the wave that’s pulz
doing it before the first shot was even
struck that’s how ready they were
already it was the first group out there
oh yeah then
hv3 and there’s a crowd there’s a uhhuh
he takes a little bow at the end of this
as well
what a classy guy there love that mhm
how was your time with him on the uh oh
the podcast yeah he’s he’s the most
authentic person he’s just authentic and
this is DJ bringing the crowd to their
feet this was a little early they
weren’t wasting beers yet by throwing
them onto the green but they wanted to
at that point and DJ that little subtle
fist pump that’s the same as to him
that’s him jumping over the moon because
he is so understated out there for sure
gets the crowd going look look at that
one Bubba doing his thing walking with
swag afterwards like no big deal Pat
Perez after last year bringing the crowd
of their feet and making it rain with
the beer shower with a long putt yeah he
just sticks it right there close and I
thought that one I thought we’d see a
few like that that would spin back and
have a chance to go in but the green was
just not quite soft enough and there
goes
Lucas looks
good and there’s the crowd oh yeah I
love this crowd so much Jerry oh it’s
hard not to the energy out there I mean
I stepped out of our booth for a moment
and because you know when you’re on
through TV the authentic sounds get a
little bit muffled somehow uh it was it
was just roar after Roar after Roar all
over the golf course and there’s there’s
luas again with that Putt and there’s
the beer
baby that was his last toll they were
the last group and he and if you saw his
CAD he was trying to actually get a few
drops now are we going to get a hold of
one tomorrow it was supposed to happen
today I I wasn’t going to call you out
supposed to happen today yeah I don’t
know tomorrow’s whole location is really
difficult but the one where Chase kepka
made it last year was also a very
difficult uh whole location for a hole
inone so you never know these guys are
good and the weather’s going to be
perfect now we did get some hole outs on
The Fairway yesterday how about we take
a look back at those right now Jerry I’m
having fun with you come on all right

there I believe look at that I mean
that’s that’s got to feel good you know
they they have their name on their bags
for a reason they are highly trained
professional this his teammate Meo
Pereira on number 16 yesterday spinning
it back exactly the same way and as the
one poor kid said in his audition to be
on the network or on the local sports
channel boom goes to Dynam there you go
yes and there’s a slam dunk from Abraham
answer three-pointer
swap I love this celebration that was a
walkoff that was his last golf shot of
the day you don’t see that very often
all right now Jerry the team situation
is so close we got to talk a little bit
about the teams toque I mean just
holding it to the top after day two can
we talk about this team a little bit
they are on fire they are right up at
the top of the tables as well in the
team standings and their worst finish
this year is a tie for fifth it actually
went down as a sixth but they their
worst finish is a tie for fifth it uh
they haven’t won yet and they’re what
are they second or third in in the on
the team tables so they’re third
currently let’s take a look at some of
their highlights team tqu baby here we
go there’s nean on six and you know what
really stands them in good stad tomorrow
and you can say the same about a number
of other teams but they don’t have a
weak link heading into heading into the
final round They’re all playing well
right now is that 13 wacon

nean Jerry would you ever wear those
pants uh not in
public I wouldn’t wear the ones you’re
wearing either second on 18 I
believe and look at that 4 G GC my
goodness yeah they’re dialed in they but
they have some uh pursuers and some un
unlikely pursuers as well but that was
Moon finishing it off there might might
be an impossible question to answer
they’re currently at three what would it
take for Tor to get to the top of that
leaderboard well I mean they’re they’re
right now they’re at the top of the
leaderboard leading iron has by one but
you mean for the team table for yes
correct they are going to be right there
coming the end of the year they’ll be
within Striking Distance at the last uh
the last regular season event before the
team championships which I understand is
going to be up in Illinois and as they
lead this leader board going into our
final day can they hang on of this Team
Torque yeah of course but look at you
got iron heads and High Flyers their
best finish for the year they best
finish they tied for sixth in Jetta tqu
hasn’t finished worse than fifth that’s
that’s heady company but you know Phil
likes to travel nicely if High Flyers
get their first ever victory that little
uh plane ride to Singapore is going to
be absolutely legendary he only does
things one way and that’s first class
Jerry we asked Greg earlier what we see
our first ever team playoff now I’m
asking you yes you think this is a
possible time to see that happen here in
atal guaranteed it many times and it
hasn’t happened it statistically we are
so far overdue so there’s just to in in
hopes of having one because it would be
the perfect place to do it I’m going to
say no chance absolutely no chance okay
fair enough no chance for hole in one no
chance for a team
playoff all right Jerry in conclusion

honestly I think when all said and done
the energy of this crowd is going to
propel one of the Rippers to the top of
the podium and likely the team as well
and I would absolutely love to see it uh
