saw on Friday and Saturday will it be

a beautiful place to take the team title
Brendan steel will take a one-stroke
lead into round three but Smith Patrick
Reed and wo Neeman are among those
within Striking Distance as shotgun

away welcome to everybody across the

just by the 18 green here another bumper
crowd expected today and a modified
shotgun start on Championship Sunday so
51 of the 54 players will Tee It Off
very shortly indeed what a massive day
for Australian golf this could be
potentially cam Smith going well three
shots off the lead he is the captain of
Ripper GC what are you expecting David
from him today well I would expect this
crowd to elevate his game as it would
you know all of the Australian players
they are approachable they are relatable
and this crowd loves them um you know
this crowd I think it embodies the
spirit of the Aussie sports fan they are
rabid you know passionate about the
whole thing and it just makes the
atmosphere just makes such a difference
I think I think the one thing to be
cautious of is Cam Smith wanting it too
much for the crowd and that’s I think
that’s real risk but if he stays stays
in his process and does what he does so
very well he’s got a great chance well
he CED a 68 on the opening day and he
went three better yesterday
65 and unlike day one where he parred
miss a relatively simple birdie put by
cam standards this was his final hole
his second shot into four and he
ended with a birdie he’s the only player
in the entire field who is bogy free at
the moment it’s the first time the top
three teams have been separated by one
shot going into Championship Sunday the
first time the top four have been
separated by two shots and it could all
change so quickly with all four scores
counting can’t it on Championship Sunday
Brendan steel 64 yesterday he has a one
stroke lead nine birdies and just the
solitary bogy in that round says he gets
nervous every round he plays just needs
to play as freely as he possibly can

have a lot of green to work with though
and everything sort of slopes down once

16 and who knows as Taylor gets it to
nine under the par he’s proven this
course and he can go very low 62s in the
opening two rounds last
year back on the first

Ortiz and in terms of current form for
the last few months you’ve got to give
this guy a pretty darn good chance
today yeah absolutely right Jerry and
the wind is as strong as it’s been all
week straight into them on this open t-

six that was his third shot at 10 look
out if the Crushers gain
momentum Lucas Herbert just a little tap
in for gorgeous birdie here at eight
that was earlier got him to seven under
got the Rippers to 35 under they’re only
one back of the High
Flyers Kieran Vincent at 16
Legion 13 all the way down in seventh
place right now 10 back that is very
doable not easy having to pass that many
teams but that is doable counting all
four scores on a course like this that
has just given up so many good scores
this week

22 Cel it is a beautiful
day Goodness Me Brendan steel was one
over par through his opening four holes
today he’s then reeled off five
consecutive birdies so he leads by three
the High Flyers filled michelson’s team
they have a two-stroke lead at the
moment in the team competition Ripper
and toor K not out of it yet let’s head
out onto the course Don Boule we’ll
start with you first Brendan steel
mightily impressive certainly is Alo and
he said yesterday in his interview that
he wanted to come out today and play
with freedom not let the situation get
to him and he’s certainly doing that
five birdies in a row certainly helps
but I tell you one thing I’ve noticed he
is a leaderboard Watcher every
opportunity he gets he’s studying that
leaderboard so he knows the big names
are right behind him there’s nine hoes
left to play that’s still a lot of golf
but he’s put himself in a really good
position well it comes to no surprises
that John ROM again is in the hunt on a
Sunday he has not finished outside tight
eth in the last five events coming into
this week I caught up with someone on
Legion 13’s team and they said that he’s
been really working on his mental game
really trying to focus on himself again
he’s had to really get used to the
format get used to being a captain but
now he is back again playing some of his
best golf and I think if he can just
roll a few more putts in he’s certainly
going to climb up that
leaderboard Brendan steel is doing what
he needs to do David to make himself
tough to catch this is for bir at number
five the beginning of the
stretch yeah off to a shaky start and
since then has really just looked
Flawless not a beautiful shot here at
the far
36 going to head to the far 57th after
Dom said such a wise decision to lay it
up to a position he is very comfortable
and he makes easy work of that up and
down for another
birdie now it’s one thing you know
making birdies at the power fives that’s
what we expect but you know this at
eight he’s just pretty you know he’s
scaring everything that he’s looking at
and Dom obviously you don’t get into the
lead without having your game clicking
in pretty good order but I think one
thing and I want to see your opinion one
thing that really helps Brendan steel is
that even ke mentality yeah it is I mean
he just look at him I mean his whole
Persona is that of a very you know
relaxed person doesn’t let too much
tension get in it his walk is always the
same but I tell you Jerry what’s really
impressive you think he only hits it one
way he’s got every single shot in the
bag that t- shot on nine was seriously
impressive yeah Dom whatever sh the shot
calls for seems to be the one that he’s
hitting but what about the two guys that
he’s playing with do they look
intimidated at all because he just looks
Invincible yeah I think Danny Lee
starting to push because of the way that
Brendan steel is playing Carlos Ortiz
he’s still sticking to his game plan he
had a choice on that second shot of nine
to maybe just play it short of the
bunker and hit a third shot uh wedge
close to the green but he went for the
green so he’s playing aggressively he’s
still in
this John Rong started the day with a
pretty big uphill battle but he took the
opportunity to make a move early this at
number five his second
shot yeah just uses the slope
brilliantly
there real course knowledge and at
number seven a fabulous second shot into
the park five and finishes it off with
this having started a day on five this
now his third shot at the par five
number

13 and suan you followed John ROM during
round won where he had one of his normal
rounds with a little bit of a hiccup in
the middle today he can’t afford to let
that happen do you sense that his he
knows that and do you sense that his
mind’s in the right place oh 100% I’ve
just joined him and walked with him for
about four holes and you can certainly
tell how focused he is but at the same
time he’s also uh embracing this
atmosphere that he loves so much he’s
talked about past tournaments before
that really he enjoys this kind of an
energy you but you’re right Jerry he
can’t for to make those sort of sloppy
Bogies uh I must say his short game
hasn’t been as sharp as he’ like it to
be this week but so far so good today
Jerry yeah and uh we’ve seen John Ry in
the past you know get emotional and get
really annoyed with himself he just
seems like to be on a a really even kill
today uh missed a short one earlier on
that that you know didn’t really bother
him it’s kind of nice to see yeah David
I’ve actually kind of noticed that in
the last couple of events following him
you would think in certain moments he’s
going to like do what JN does but he
seems to be able to calm himself down a
lot sooner uh than perhaps we’re used to
seeing and I think that’s part of the
mental work that he’s been doing leading
up to this week really reassessing his
game trying to look at it from a bird’s
eye view he’s a very analytical guy in
terms of his stats and he’s trying to
pick out the areas that he needs to get
better at that birdie there gets him to
14 under and four back with nine to play
but he’s out of par fives
now well the High Flyers have a one
stroke lead in the team competition

coming to live just kind of share with
us how that conversation happened when
did Cam call you uh what did he say to
you and kind of what convince you to
then make that decision to come over to
live it was all happened pretty quick I
got a call off off Greg reckon it was
the week after the US Open they wanted
you know being Cam and I called Cam and
I’m like mate I said I’m probably not
going to go unless you go if you don’t
want to go that’s fine and then he said
well I’m not going unless you’re going
and I’m like well you know it seems
pretty pretty good you know we put all
the positives and negatives down and
positives far out way the negatives and
turned out to be a pretty easy decision
and I think it was a good thing was we
both got very similar upbringings
workingclass families we like enjoying
ourselves you know a lot of people live
to work we work to live um although we
do have a really really cool job it was
a fairly easy decision and one that I
certainly haven’t regretted one B on

they are now with those remaining they

comfortable right now but it sounds
strange with a five shot lead no lead is
safe with three to play when counting

the places that these guys want to be

fresher perspective on Golf and it’s
made him a much better player when you
have a day like that you know it’s easy
to sort of throw your towel in and when
you’re not getting the momentum at the
start
but you can’t with four scores counting
and he wants the Ripper boys to win
right here on home

hard moments today uh regardless of the
result and uh that I just needed to get
back in there and start playing with

I’ve learned a ton from Phil I mean we
had a great talk yesterday we went to
breakfast and sat Just the Two of Us for
about an hour and uh he was just telling
me that there’s no reason that I can’t
be one of the best players in the world
and he went through every part of my
game he’s like you just need to start
believing it and I thought okay well if
one of the best players ever is telling
me that I better start believing it it’s
the middle of the night back home and
your family watching you think anything
you want to say to them yeah yeah uh

them and I think if you ask him you know

that he was pushed from
behind but uh he had the

wonderful

just never any big misses at all couple

the three days but not enough to offset

of shot he decides here whether it’s
over the tree as Su anop might be an
option or around it under it nonetheless
it could take a while to people are
cleared out of the way but I do not see
a Tio a temporary immovable obstruction
in his

lechman will be aware of Cameron’s
situation and knows that you know the
pressure is on

moment he’ll expect himself to make

week so very very uh fulfilling oh Cam

fans who are watching at home and whove
turned up
today I mean they turned up all week I
think uh like Herby just said there was
a lot of pressure on us this week and I
think we did a really good job um we
couldn’t have done it without the fans

in my career and fitting that Australia
I mean you know Stinger did absolutely
amazingly and what a game quartet they
are the Stinger for but for the crowd
out here and for the millions watching
across Australia in particular A fitting
result well yeah and I think that the
entire last hour of the show was
extraordinary you know backwards and
forwards it could have you and in the
team event it just shows you how
volatile this can be uh an amazing

played together today both carded 65s
both finished on 13 underpar cam Smith
wasn’t his day individually today and he
had his trials and tribulations in the
team contest as well he had a par put on
18 to win it for Ripper that slid by but
in the end two puts to win Brandon Grace
came good at the end Phil Michelson
captain of the High Flyers he finished
seven under and the High Flyers on the
podium for only the second time in their
history five back of stinger and Ripper

against Sergio Garcia who sadly is 0 for
three in playoffs and Legion 13 took
their second team title and right here
in Adelaide an unforgettable event three
days of Sensational golf Brendan steel
is another first time individual
Champion he’s won by a shot but the real
story here in Australia is the victory
for rer GC they thought they had it won
in the last hour they led by five Louie

them to a playoff both 53 and the par so

are feeding off the energy from this
crowd right now I’ve never heard you so
Jack yeah I mean how could I not be that
uh we just made history live golf
history first ever team playoff where do
we start talk us through it I mean how
was it just watching that there suan I
know you were there Jerry how are you
feeling are you as excited as me you
know like suanne when she talked to cam
she said you can’t script this you
couldn’t have written a Hol would script
better than this for for two nations
with such sporting rivalries to come to
our first ever team playoff here in
front of the home crowd in Australia our
Premier event in live golf and to end
like it did it is just so fitting I mean
it was just I’m still on a high to be
honest with you I don’t really know
where I’m at and what I’m doing but uh
that’s just how awesome that was you
know I think the first playoff hole I
thought oh boy oh boy this is The
Stingers this is the stingers and then
cam leash they just delivered that was
so clutch of a putt from from leash and
that bunker shot from cam was just this
is what they practice for these are the
moments they practice for can you can
you we’re looking at our first team
playoffs can we just talk about how
challenging a playoff is your body is
exhausted your mind is exhausted the
fans are applying pressure on you here’s
some uh clips from it I think the
hardest part of the entire playoff is
before it starts you have to choose only
one guy or two guys if you don’t if you
want to choose them to play instead of
yourself that is not easy to do with
four world class players on your team
especially when the rest of your team
are all playing so well I mean both
stinger and Ripper Team all four players
are playing so well I mean it’s got to
have you know it becomes to a point
where it’s like who has the most
chemistry and trust with each other
isn’t it yeah and then cam hit it in
trouble there couldn’t really get it
over the tree like we thought he might
be able to had to try and hook it around
it but then cam do do what cam does
right
here now what do you think goes into the
mind of the team as they’re selecting
their two front men For a Moment Like
This what what is the strategy
everybody’s great right it wasn’t the
best scores of the day cuz cam was
highest score of Ripper GC today so but
you can’t as Captain not put yourself on
it you want to lead by example and
you’re a major Champion as well and then
uh I don’t think Lou gave him much
Choice Dean was a hot hand he won our
previous event honestly I think you know
with Cam and his putting and how good he
is under the pressure during a playoff
you want someone to be able to handle
that pressure to make those putts that
is important how do you not go with Cam
Smith who is the best Putter and Leash
this putt was look at that huge clutch
absolutely clutch well the put he made
late in the round his final hole I
believe for par was
enormous there yeah I I mean I just
thought the crowd reaction was great
they it was a home crowd they were Bo
booing the South Africans they were
cheering them when things didn’t go
their way you’re to expect that you just
don’t face it that often in golf
especially as an international player
suan how was it out there now standing
way over here I could I felt like I was
standing right near the action I know we
talk about the fans a lot but for good
reason how was it being right there in
the action with the fans I tell you this
was just so special uh the experience
and being inside the Roes was just
phenomenal you can’t script it like I
said and the energy that you get from
the crowd you cannot put it into words
you simply can’t they’re so passionate
about golf here they’re so passionate
about supporting their home team this is
literally the perfect day for Australian
golf it was absolutely there’s that
second uh Round Here of the playoff yeah
yeah this well at this point uh once
Louie missed the playoff was essentially
over even though Dean made that that was
a great moment from Dean it was but uh
yeah then the both Ripper had two putts
each to win if they if they needed them
which they ultimately needed nobody made
that putt from behind the hole today the
entire day but you you it’s hard to
describe and I know we talk for a living
we’re supposed to use words properly
it’s hard to describe just how enormous
of an event this was for live golf for
Australian golf this is now the premier
golf event in Australia no matter what
the organizing bodies might want to tell
you and it and the fans absolutely
adopted it live golf
was trending on X this evening and it
was past midnight in America in all the
states so it’s it’s pretty
amazing and look at this look at this
celebration here uh this is the exact
moment that Ripper GC knew and here’s
the celebration the champagne showers
they entire team here they know how to
celebrate uh and then topped off with uh
of course a uh brilliant chewy uh from
cam Smith there which Jerry you you
promised you may do uh tonight oh yeah
are you are you you might hold that
promise we see you’re looking around for
a beer now yeah we’re going to do it on
well there’s cam there’s cam Smith chewy
right there uh and how about that moment
man this is just incredible we have some
fans actually surrounding us right now
how great uh is this moment for these
guys there’s Greg nor oh Greg’s
getting oh man lead by example commit
oh oh that is awesome this doesn’t get
more legendary than this it was a bit of
a Bittersweet day for cam today wasn’t
it yes but you know we made the point
before the show started on this show uh
you were out working already but we made
the point that if you asked any of
Ripper GC any of those players if they
could only have one an individual win or
a team win today all four would have
said team win in a heartbeat so it was a
Bittersweet win and it makes up for his
win in London when he had two putts to
win the individual title but if he made
the seven footer they go into a team
playoff and he missed it it was a
crushing Victory if you will today
redeemed it I I just want to hear a
little bit more about what this means
for Australia uh what this means for
Adelaide and how how huge this is for
golf well you lived here before I mean
you have a better sense of it than I do
I do I I mean look they’ve been starved
for good golf and and talking to so many
people all week long that’s what
everyone has said to me is is how good
this is for Australia I mean the
memberships around this area the golf
memberships are now on weight list for
double the time and the impact that it
has I mean today I met a family where
the dad drove 14 hours with both of his
daughters just to watch this event and
you know what he told me what it is
totally worth it I met so many people
that flew from all over the country to
come and watch this event and that is
exactly the impact it has on Australia
in golf and people are just so
interested and the main thing I I took
from this week is how many young people
are in the crowd how many kids are
inspired to play how many kids really
want to meet and greet the Australian
golfers it is so cool and it felt so
impactful growing the game transforming
the game in the 70s and 80s uh the
Australian Open was unofficially the
fifth major all the big names in the
world came down to play in it Jack
Nicholas won it six times I believe Gary
Player five times ARL Palmer played in
it wanted and then it kind of went away
with the dominance of North American
Golf and and dominating the entire
landscape of professional golf this
brings it back and they are so happy a
special day for Adelaide a special day
for Ripper GC let’s take a look at some
Ripper GC highlights from the main round
here we go it’s Ripper GC baby you’re
looking at your team Champs here here’s
some highlights Jerry Tu us through suan
tuas to that’s leash on 12 just making
one of many long cuts he made today and
it was late in the day hopefully we show
that highlight was a place to do it too
on the 12th now this is
Jonesy on the 12th as well for a
bird oh giving them something to yell
for yeah yeah we didn’t get the ace we
wanted but they got a couple of Ripper
GC birdies there that were huge oh this
is quite the week for Lucas Herbert this
time last year he won in Japan yeah and
he said the impact of this tournament
certainly was a factor into his decision
making when he got that call yeah it it
it was really cool to watch I remember
covering Herbert when he won and Bermuda
on the PGA tour and that was a a career
changing moment uh being invited to be a
member of Team Ripper is a career
defining moment if you will not to be a
little bit hyperbolic but now his first
win as a teammate how about that
addition though you know to team Ripper
it strengthened their
team he is such a good player he’s had
so much experiences he’s won so many
times now I don’t know if you got a good
closeup with this watch this it hits
Abraham an’s coin and kicks it back left
online and goes in enormous break surely
at this point you would think the golf
gods are with the Ripper team time they
had like a three four or five shot lead
yes as well exactly if you guys had to
choose one guy on Ripper GC who really
was a game changer today who would you
say that would be and I know that’s a
tough question because I mean
it’s hard to say it’s it’s everybody
made clutch putts everybody hit clutch
shots uh Herbert and obviously leean
played incredible golf today Jonesy did
his job as he’s always done and cam
Smith he didn’t have his a game but the
others lifted him up and then when they
needed him most it was mid of Midway
early and Midway in the back back nine
when it was fairly obvious he wasn’t
going to contend individually that he
started making those key putts you can’t
keep a good man down and uh greatness

know you got to get out of here so I got

do a shoe I’m doing one there’s a couple
of beers there but Mary’s been quite
protective of those beers I know
but going to save them for the end of
the show the spot now haven’t I
Mary I could do a hoodie right now I can
fill that thing up and drink it before
we drink Don we can’t forget about steel
Brendan Steel’s first live golf win you
were with him today talk us through the
holes and my first question to him was
that was a ball striking Clinic wasn’t
it Brendan and it absolutely was and it
it’s been like that all week hasn’t it
Jerry all week well yeah I mean just I
remember just started thinking back on
on all the shots and from the fifth hole
all the way to the 14th hole he kept the
ball under the PIN for his puts on all
those holes I mean that is incredible
execution on greens that were firming up
best magnificent ball striking and he
got a little bit sketchy with the putter
at times especially the short par put on
I forget the whole but 11 but he made
just enough didn’t he he made it easy on
himself he did he did and he made it
easy on himself from his ball strike in
fact he missed a short part on 10 he
missed a short one 11 and uh also on 16
and 18 I mean he could he should have
really won by four or five well the fact
if he was hitting it sa Le and he’s
hitting it pretty much where he’s aiming
I know that Phil Nicholson told him this
course is made for you absolutely made
for you to be able to work at both ways
comfortably he won the ball not on he
won the tournament not on the greens you
mentioned yesterday he shot eight under
yesterday and lost Strokes to the field
absolutely that’s the first time that
anyone in live golf has shot eight under
or better and lost Strokes to the field
on the greens just remarkable stuff here
are all our highlights from Bren Steel’s
day here there you go that’s just
slightly under the hole perfect just
like you said everything under the hole
here we are at number seven and that was
it was such a smart play with his second
shot he had a really bad lie ball well
above his St wind was into him he would
have ballooned in the air and he just
played it conservatively and it paid off
a very good stroke there at eight for
birdie yeah from underneath the hole
then at 13 the other par five couldn’t
quite get there in two he left it where
you said was a smart place yeah and he
chipped and it’s just breaking from left
to right and he left himself under the
hole once again from about 5 six feet
made it an easy easy birdie yeah and
then he chose not to hit driver on 18
well back where the other players were
and this is it all day long with his
wedges look at the distance control and
the spin control magnificent ball
striking he is some play and he knows
how to take spin off the ball too yeah
and then he had this for bir putt that
nobody made all day long I know you in
the playoff yeah you hit it left it
stayed you hit it right and it broke but
yeah he is he’s not a flashy person he
doesn’t bring a lot of attention to
himself he doesn’t pump his own tires
and beat his chest uh but he he gets it
done and all of the his peers whether it
be out here or in his previous life on
the PJ tour respect that that guy had
some serious game and in an interview he
said he’s learned a lot from Phil moose
from one of the greatest players in the
history of the game and it’s paying off
yeah they’re are all in a pretty nice
house this week together with a pretty
nice Chef the Phil has asked his his
interest in maybe relocating to San
Diego but yeah you can’t you just the
team environment is something they
haven’t experienced since College they
really haven’t and it’s it’s it really
brings a different dimension to you as a
player and how you approach each day and
and the thoughts that go through your
mind mind when you’re out there
competing well Don before you go thought
uh final thoughts from Championship
Sunday cuz I know you got some shoy you
need to go I mean not just Championship
Sunday uh Christian the whole week it’s
been Magnificent the crowd have been so
supportive you know it it’s and we’re
going to come back I walked a few holes
with Greg Norman and you should have
seen the agulation Chone towards him
they love him here because he was the
greatest player from Australia for for
10 12 years and uh looking forward to
next year already yeah I can’t wait Dom

Aces what’s the dynamic been like uh
within your team and having DJ as your
captain how’s it going I think our team
has just got to get we just got to play
better I think it’s easier to be a team
when you’re playing well um I mean DJ
played well starting off I played
terrible I finished dead last so it’s
just people team hasn’t played well at
the right time P re go comes out he’s
not playing well so it just sucks from a
team perspective when you’re not
contending you know like we just go play
like you know on in in live no one I
don’t think anyone really talks about it
if the team’s not playing well it just
becomes an individual tournament if your
team’s playing well you actually think
about like hey man like I want to be
there for the team and I just want to
get back to that yeah part you know uh
that’s what I think makes it fun that’s
what I want to do I came here to do the
team part that’s what I’m invested in
and I’m going I’m going to get back

anything else in golf and he stayed up

Coast time in the US it was just so nice
seeing those guys enjoy the moment true
Joy true teamwork and the crowd of
course welld deserving of that win and
uh Craig Norman with a shoy awesome you
think it doesn’t matter to these guys
it’s Sunday night the Sun setting and
the tournament’s over Ian polter’s over
there practicing his tail off to try and
find something for next week that is
what commitment to it is that is what
this what golf means to them playing
well means to them and being a member of
a team and live golf means to them and
he’s been there since the very end of
the round which is really impressive
he’s been out there for over an hour now
which is impressive all right let’s head

a wonderful job schooling us with some
information Rachel you look great out
there what’s up hey Christian I wish you
could see the sky behind me but I’ve got
my own crowd here I’m a bit nervous but
what a result for the Rippers and not
only do you need 53 birdies to win are
they doing dodgy things behind me not
only do you need 53 birdies to win you
also need a lot of saves out there and
we saw some amazing golf from the
Rippers so we’re going to look at some
b-roll of the shots so we’re going to
start off with Mr Lehman
now they say trees are 90% air and he
certainly showed this no green to work
with leaving it to 20
ft and as we said you don’t just need
birdies you need pars and this one was
just absolutely ridiculous from Lucas
Herbert again through the trees cutting
it round the side of the
bunker he could literally try the shot
95 times and he would not be able to do
that again
and finally Matt
Jones no green to work

with and that’s exactly what I’ve got
here I’m here where Matt Jones was on
the 15th hole he’s got a down slope and
I haven’t got the flag they’ve taken it
in I I wish you could see all these
people watching me right now so I’m
going to give you all a few tips okay so
you got to listen to
these
right okay so number one setup is very
very important so wide stance you’re
going to get your lead foot toe turned
out and your weight over your lead foot
and then your sternum slightly back I’ve
just had someone say correct okay from
there we’ve seen this tip before but
it’s important to have Loft on the club
face in the bunker peers behind me just
having a Sher so lot sand on the club
face now the goal is you got to try and
Chuck it over your
shoulder so when the sand falls over
that way it means there’s Loft on the
club face and you can release it if I
were to close the club face the sand
would fall off right I’m going to give
those go
don’t okay so wide stance foot turn out
way over my foot
I’m going to take it I don’t think I
want to hit another one but if you can
give those a go okay I’ve been told in
my ear need to do another
one if I don’t do this now hat do you
think I can do it again or not I’ve got
to do a shoey if I
miss

there’s one guy on that team Lucas
Herbert yeah we got to talk about I mean
to rise to the occasion when all the
fans are looking at you and everyone in
media is talking about you and everyone
wants you to do it and the pressure’s on
this guy Lucas Herbert I would say
stepped up to the plate let’s talk about
yeah he he’s maybe I guess you would say
the most the least heralded player on
Ripper GC Al way he has the same amount
of PJ tour wins as Matt Jones he didn’t
have the length that career he’s the
youngest as well this is his second on
eight he was just absolutely clutch
today remember he shot one over par 73
in the first round and beat that by
eight shots in round two with 65 and
came out today and kept those Good Vibes
going that was Eagle on nine and that
really kind of woke everybody up to to
Rippers and that’s about the same time
that uh cam Smith started making putts
even though he didn’t play his best golf
but that’s when you knew something
special was ruined and it was amazing
that stinger came back and even tied him
that was fantastic to have our first
team playoff cuz it looked like Ripper
had it well in hand it seems like they
uh kept a great balance of of work and
play I saw Lucas yesterday at the Fisher
concert one of the main suspects uh
taking his shoey backstage uh having a
good time and today with the confidence
showing up you got to love to see that
right yeah and this is the second shot
on number five his second to last hole
and just got a great bounce kicked it
right down there after hitting it to a
foot on number one for birdie and he
would go on to make that you gotta love
that your Adelaide Team Champions Ripper
GC couldn’t be a better story
right speaking of Lucas Herbert suan
caught up with him earlier in the week

something I also found out about you is
your love for music specifically you
collect guitars when I say I collect
guitars I just end up buying more than I
really need I wouldn’t say I’m
collecting any rare pieces I just end up
with a lot of guitars so I I double I’m
definitely not a professional I won’t be
playing in front of any audience anytime
soon but we’ll make that happen I do I
do enjoy when I am home plugging the
guitar in and trying to play some stuff
and I would say with my golf game I’m
quite artistic so I feel like the music
side of things it just helps feed into
that a little bit and just you know take
your mind off golf what’s the most
famous or the nicest guitar that you own
have you recently bought for yourself I
think I was at the US Open last year I
went to a shop called Norman’s rare
guitars in La M and I bought a a Fender
Stratocaster that is a replica of Eddie
Van Halen’s guitar back in the day so oh
that’s going to be pretty cool it’s
really really cool like if you play
anything that’s kind of down a Van Halen
sort of sound you can make it sound
really really good so I I love that
thing I love playing oh I need to I need
to look at that I need to you need to
take a picture and show it yeah for
sure what a great week for Lucas Herbert
and here’s Rachel Drummond as promised
looks like she did a shoey let’s see how
she does
Jerry well first of all if you have the
heel on it like that it gets all over
the side of your mouth yeah that was
pretty good form though she got the
initial Surge and and manage to handle
that you’re going to wear a lot of it
when you do a shoey she didn’t seem too
happy about her SHO performance there
but I thought she did a great job yeah
no that’s a that’s a nine out of 10 AG I
think that was her first too great job

experiened some uniquely Australian
sporting event this week Bubba Watson
joined more than 45,000 fans at the
Aussie Rules Football game on Friday
night as the power hosted the Saints at
the Adelaide oval the tqu lads who are
huge racing fans hopped in a helicopter
to check out the Ben motorport Park it’s
Australia’s Premier racetrack situated
on the banks of the country’s largest
river the Murray River the team put the
pedal to the metal and track prepared
for Mustang V8 GT cars putting the
torque
and
torque you like that Jerry very good
putting the torque and torque I had a
great time here this week I’ve been here
before I came I was back here my first
time long before you were born I enjoyed
it then stayed down at Glenn El down at
the beach this year we stayed in City
Center incredible food incredible
restaurants it was absolutely popping
all week long especially this weekend it
was uh it it was just a lot of fun
there’s a great vibe to this city it
kind of reminds me for those of us North
American B people uh because you have
the big Cosmopolitan areas of Sydney and
Melbourne this reminds me a little bit
of a of a of a like a a Seattle maybe or
or or a Portland before it got really
weird um it’s just got a great down home
free-spirited Vibe well I want to talk
to you about the watering hole which has
been a huge hit with Liv golf I’d say
the highlight of the week perhaps we
have some highlights from it Jerry let’s
talk about it one of my favorites right
here imp pulter controlling a crowd with
one hand and there’s a legendary wave
around that Watering Hole I love it I
that was pulps before he was in the
first group to play that hole they
started on 12 that was before a shot was
hit they were already that into it uh
they do it in such good spirit too they
really really do they have a great time
they wear some hideous clothes sometimes
and this is the best shot of the week
right here from
ter could you imagine Jerry if this
thing just turned around and went of all
people too I don’t even know how ter C
he’ probably just laid on the ground and
said pour it all over me give me all the
beer and uh the fans there a lot of
shirts got lifted up this week and uh
here’s another special moment very
close yeah and uh here’s the club
throw mic drop oh that’s what we call
Mic drop I love
it and uh my favorite the cam Smith
intro his introduction uh never
failed yeah and uh his teammate Matt
Jones actually had little John farum the
Australian Legend play in yesterday as
his walk up music that’s DJ with a huge
double breaking putt down the hill that
big celebration there from
DJ oh Pat Perez was a star last year
making a 70 foot Putt and doing a really
bad dance and then he had a chance at oh
if that just spins back a little bit off
the hill but tip of the cap I love the
Showmanship there
and this is
yesterday that’s her and there’s the
beer I think C he got hit on the head
there but he was all right this is from
today Jerry y that’s uh that’s David fuj
look at
that and uh say he’s a quiet man but
there’s a big celebra a loud celebration
there

uh-huh what would you say your uh did
this Watering Hole meet your
expectations you you’d have to ask those
guys and I I guarantee I know the answer
it met expectations I know uh I forget
who it was maybe Dom or suan they were
talking to some people who were there
and they had the same seats as they had
last year they’re like season ticket
holders now and all the people they were
surrounded by are now they’re new
friends because it was the same people
from last year it’s going to be a coming
home party each and every year and that
yes of course it it met expectations
look at that next year it’s going to be
bigger and better I think one of my
favorite things about the fans was uh
seeing them sitting on the ceiling of uh
your studio Jer were you were you at all
nervous uh by knowing people were above
your head you know the quality controls
and safety standards here in South
Australia are pretty strong because
there was about eight or 10 people up
there sounded like they were doing a
dance at first somebody out them
actually sit down so we could still
concentrate in there but they were
welcome too that was a great seat you
got to love it there’s another shoy and
the next stop uh this is a tough act to
follow here in Adelaide but next stop
Singapore it’s awesome in Singapore such
a beautiful city it’s a different vibe
than here in Adela but it’s really a
cool

the future of golf are you

ready uh cannot wait for Singapore that
looks like a whole lot of fun are you
excited about I have never been it’s
such a beautiful city it’s such a it’s
warm it’s going to be very warm I’m okay
with that but the golf fans there
they’re very Savvy golf uh audience it
was a huge walkup ticket sales last year
because people there aren’t used to
having sporting events of this magnitude
where they buy tickets they they they’re
giving tickets there was a huge walk up
crowd last year we had a great great
time and it’s beautiful I cannot wait
for Singapore uh but before we get out
of here I think we have a couple of
posts we want to go through on social
take a look at this I think it’s hard
for nons South Aussies to appreciate how
much pride there is and the fact that
the biggest live event in the world is
in Adela and it’s even bigger this year
than last and it will be even bigger
next year P Skully this event on the
screen was just quality can you imagine
the atmosphere of actually being there
well peace it was everything you saw
and then some and let’s take a look at
that individual
leaderboard one final look at it from
here in Adelaide what an incredible time
we had Brendon steel an amazing
consistent Showcase of golf today
putting him as individual champ his
first win anywhere in six years and very
well earned came close last year lost in
the playoff but very well earned and
then the storybook ending with Ripper GC
beating Stinger GC in a playoff and High
Flyers getting their second ever uh
Podium finish uh we don’t have a lot of
time left Jerry I always have a great
time with you but I want to thank you so
