there was an unfortunate incident on
Saturday in the second round of Liv golf
Adelaide that left one of the caddies in
the 54 player League injured and
potentially seeking medical attention
I’m Ryan bingie with golf newset and
Lucas Herbert was wrapping up what
turned out to be a great round on
Saturday in round two of LIF golf
Adelaide at the gra Golf Club in
Adelaide Australia and he was wrapping
up with a birdie on the par 31 12 hole
which they have dubbed the watering hole
at this tournament one of the most
popular places for fans to gather and
kind of like their version of the part
316th at TPC Scottsdale for the WM
Phoenix Open and Herbert made Birdie the
the Australian crowd praised their
native son for making birdie which wound
up being a great finish to a round that
in terms of order would have been a
fourth consecutive birdie had he played
it in order on the golf course CU he had
birdie holds 9 10 11 and 12 however the
celebration was marred because fans who
were showering the players namely
Herbert with water hence the watering
hole well there was one fan who threw a
full bottle of something appeared to be
water and it wound up hitting Lucas
Herbert’s caddy in the head and it
knocked him down to the ground well we
don’t know is how injured he is or if
he’s okay we assumed he was fine and
received at least some medical attention
hopefully did not get concussed and this
is an unfortunate situation sounds like
most of the fans who were down there in
Australia this week were doing a great
job and have been very good good in
cheering on the players for the Liv golf
league and unfortunately one fan got a
little too rowdy through their bottle a
little too far and connected with Lucas
Herbert’s caddy hopefully he is okay
this isn’t necessarily just something
isolated to live golf of course as we
mentioned TPC Scottdale got very Rowdy
this year they had to turn down liquor
sales for more than an hour they had to
stop letting people into the venue at
TPC Scottdale because they were too
rowdy and it was hard to control so this
kind of thing happens sometimes when you
encourage fans to get Rowdy and have a
lot of fun and unfortunately in this
situation someone got hurt
