orth can do a little bit of both
including the Run game here’s baslac in
the Run game and on the pitch he sends
it down the sideline with Jamal Johnson
for a first down portal terion Stewart’s
hurt so you’ve got two new backs that
are going to be playing this game
including Johnson and Patterson and
right there you see Jamal back first
downs for baslac and the
Falcons his second throw he’s taking a
shot he’s got hair and OD do hair with a
[Applause]
touchdown
[Applause]
talk about taking a shot early in this
ball game the
Falcons go right down the
field hair with two big catches and
that’s just his fourth touchdown
reception of the season
a guy that’s been struggling to get his
legs underneath him he’s been banged
up he’s become more of a underneath an
intermediate threat cashes Howell the
most feared pass rusher in the mid
American
Conference and inside to Kramer but he
gets it away to Taylor who has a first
down recognizes the pressure coming off
the right side that’s where you want to
throw the football to they get out
leverage Taylor catches the football in
the flat wild cats with a big come back
lead in that
game a heavy dose of Taylor back from
injury on this opening drive for the
Gophers and you can see it Dustin it
takes two three sometimes four guys to
get him down how he how he looks is he
100% I would say he’s 100 10% he he’s
running through dudes right
now and almost every single play to
start this game has gone through the guy
that’s in the backfield next to Cole
Kramer Darius Taylor with eight touches
on this opening drive
on a fourth down it’s Taylor again he
has the first down bursting playing in
his final game here
today he’s out near the slot on a third
and goal framer to the end zone and it’s
caught for a
touchdown Elijah Spencer has the Gophers
on the
board take it a little bit of a Bunch
set working
against 18 Jaylen Burton there and one
other thing to note here um committed to
Maryland went to the portal and then
Oken is injured so their top two corners
are out uh-oh look out
here kesich the kicker taking a direct
snap and kich looking to throw and he
jumps for the goal line is he in no they
Mark him down I think I think he got one
of those cheeks down right at the one yd
line and the ball was a little bit short
I thought for a moment he easily could
have ran this in and he had
the so Conor baslac through the
touchdown on the opening drive flares
this out and Cody lindenberg is all over
Jamal
Johnson on a third down baslac goes
underneath and another completion he’s
got F Tai ibraim for a first down nice
job with the mire
and you get Ibrahim coming across the
formation with the linebacker Spencer
came in motion he had the touchdown in
the first drive and he is popped Patrick
day making a
play a really nice job here on the
outside by day get more than that orth
loses the ball on his first drive at
quarterback orth lost it and they’ll
have to uncover I think Bowling Green
got it back the last second and it will
be fourth
down oh man if that was just on that
mesh Point as you see big number zero
Anthony Smith get in there he’s the one
that
tackles the tail
back actually they’re trying to hand the
ball to
Fannon they snuck Fannon in at tail back
there
and lindenberg was the one that almost
came up with the
ball Kramer away from pressure and
Kramer this is what he’s done most of
his career as a wildcat quarterback with
no fear into the second level getting a
chance to cheer for Cole Kramer somehow
he escapes the Rush by Ferguson and that
thing just opens up and nobody can make
a tackle down the field it’s a very
similar play to his touchdown run by the
way two years ago against Bowling Green
I think Katie Miller is
f and cage hugs it in there now two away
from the all time record in the single
season for field goals made well that
hasn’t been the case with the Falcons
this year baslac back on the field
firing to hair who makes the adjustment
he has had a ridiculous start to this
bull game wall number five just goes up
and just mosses this thing give me that
pill Big Time play Here by
hair and and
can oh no and that’s swatted down smart
play by baslac Trayvon Jones was in
there on a corner Blitz
John Joiner one of the most disruptive
players in the Big 10 is home for a
sack 65 he runs like the win look at 17
just really unblocked and again that’s
Dunbar who just got called for the
penalty and then just sort of whiffs
there as John Joiner Gets In The Back
Field immediately nothing for baslac to
do yep sure did fourar
player and coming into this recruiting
class as Taylor is stuck inside the wash
Joseph sip in there to make the play and
bring up fourth
down off play action Howell got there at
the end and that hangs up and it’s
picked off they come the other way with
Darius lels and lorfils are the biggest
play of this game on defense for Bowling
Green Minnesota it’s number zero cashes
how just absolutely blast Cole Kramer
the ball up in the
air picked off for the 28th takeaway of
the season for the Bowling Green
Falcons and now sets him up with a great
position here top of your screen now
they pump it out to him and that has no
chance snowed under Carrie Brown and
Trayvon Jones all over it it was Jones
that got off that block L Phil’s pick
and
annia cashes it
in
top side in the line of
scrimmage and Taylor trying to run away
from Howell and that little burst
through that hole that was stopped up
and he exploded for the first down this
thing is is blocked up beautifully he
just has great hesitation and just turns
it on breaks a tackle and gets him a
first down and they need him to be like
I said a Workhorse here in the second
half they want to win this
game barely touched the ball in the SE
an opener against Nebraska they found
out very quickly that this guy was going
to be very good another first down for
Darius Taylor Taylor out of the game at
running back and this is the first Carry
for Jordan nuben they have multiple
backs that can hit you big and nuben
with an explosive run for a first down
is Tyler nben now getting some more run
here in this bull game see fifth on the
dep chart at one point running back and
now man getting a great opportunity
formation here comes the scrum Kramer
did he have enough on third down and
goal Bo the officials coming from the
[Music]
side touchdown inredible drive and
obviously we know about this brotherly
shove tush push whatever you want to
call it it’s become very popular
and Dron kesich makes it a six-point
game well you said it partner getting it
done on the ground
Joiner coming from the top side his
second time getting home
today see it
all you Jones comes on the inside and
just kind of jumps on the pile little
aggressive JP there at the End by Jones
but really it was Joiner who got it
done on third down Kramer to throw it he
hits the edge and it’s a touchdown
Jameson gears in for six for
Minnesota
crazy story and for him to come into
this game and and do what he’s done
right now and give them a a two-score
lead is just remarkable after the first
half just thre 19 yards in the first
half but right there grew up in the
parks of Eden Prairie Minnesota dreaming
of throwing Spirals and the Shadows of
the Minnesota Vikings that’s right in
2018 to call in the defense in 2023
baslac on a third down hits the guy
that’s been money for him all day ODU
hair with a massive relieving first down
for Bowling Green big day on offense for
Bowling Green when they went down on the
first drive pan Wimberly has Elite Speed
and he’s into the second level first
down and they just got a lightning bolt
after Darius Taylor and out gained
him boy Wimberly you talk about that
speed out the gate and they’re
lucky that Bryson makes that touchdown
saving tackle because this game would
have gotten really interesting appears
to be man coverage oh they’re going to
double him
actually baslac ran into his own guy
gets it away and OD do hair right in the
middle of the
field he can throw the ball 70
yards figured that was part of the
excitement he wasn’t giving that up
Wimberly had the big hitter ear earlier
around the edge and a touchdown for pan
Wimberly that speed was killer on that
drive
from the Jet Sweep again gets the
Caravan out in front and really just
beats everybody with the speed to sort
of walk into the end zone and with the
top two running backs out for the
Falcons in this game Johnson and
patteron and Wimberly was the third back
to come in the game and all of a sudden
maybe you found something here in the
fourth quarter number 30 I think he
deserves some more
carries his touchdown made it a
one-score
game here comes Brockington mcki
Brockington who came back from a broken
leg late in the season looks very very
healthy out across the
50 you got five guys in the box and
Kramer throws incomplete looking for
Gears and there’s a flag out at the end
[Applause]
that was late I there was contact we’ll
take another look at this I think
they’re getting Ferguson number
[Applause]
seven if this is pi this is going to be
a big
call pass interference defense by rule
the ball be place at the spot of the
foul with an automatic first down goal
range to potentially extend it to two
scores does who is it that’s right there
actually not the big tight end they’re
trying to get
Gears yeah day was the
guy done that again today here’s another
one for Taylor seeking The End Zone
nobody can stop Darius
Taylor welcome home
son Darius Taylor the Detroit native is
putting on a clinic here at Fort field
Wildcat great patience little bit of a
hold there on the left side of the line
didn’t get called but nonetheless I
don’t know what that dance is
but he’s the homecoming it’s better than
anything I can do he’s the homecoming
King he
is 20 minutes from home today Darius
Taylor and after all of those yards they
can H
convert and stgo had pressure from the
outside so did Joiner and baslac gets it
away 11
B the middle into fan and who holds on
lindenburg got a piece of that as well
watch how Bas just gets this over top of
Linden BG’s head and it might have even
been tipped so excellent concentration
by
Fannon baslac on second and 10 protected
again and he throws a dart to hair the
diving catch sets up first down and goal
three minutes left well listen if they
get a score
here I I think you’d go for the onside
kick game on second and goal baslac
takes off baslac turning for the goal
line touchdown Bowling Green
to this play theing on the field of a
touchdown is under further
[Applause]
review I think his knee comes down but
where’s the football at this may be a
better
look the question is was he on top of a
Golden
Gopher review ruling on the field stands
touchdown
so a little life here for the Falcons
momentarily touchdown then they could
win it with a touchdown and an extra
point and here we go six-point game
really and that should do it all you
quarterbacks well Cole Kramer a day to
remember forever same with Darius Taylor
the future very bright at Minnesota for
the freshman running back out of
Detroit and for the seventh straight
bowl game it ends in a bath for the head
coach from Minnesota the fifth time
under PJ
fck and they stay rowing to bll game
[Music]
success

  1. Good win GOPHERS!🏈❤For the people wondering…That is why we play to see which team is best. I've seen football and basketball teams with just a few wins during the regular season Win, or Almost Win, their Conference Championships! So for me as a high school coach, and a fan, this is not a throw away game!

  2. How can Minnesota get into a bowl game with a 5-7 record? Please explain that to me!!! All college football teams need 6 wins to be bowl eligible. Right!

  3. The Minnesota Golden Gopher are one of the best teams in the NCAA. They proved this today by winning yet another Bowl game. Lost a few heartbreakers but always Win when it matters most 🏆🏆🏆

  4. Big schools pay big bucks to play 2 small schools so they can get 2 wins. Then only need 4 more for bowl where they make up the money. Not right.

  5. Giving the big 10 bowling green. No wonder they get blown out against good teams. Wonder why they didn't just give them an all girls Catholic school?! Do their fans feel good about this?

  6. GREAT GAME BOTH TEAMS THE GOPHERS FOOTBALL TEAM PLAYED GOOD OFFENSE AND DEFENSE PLAYED SOLID DECENT PASSING 100YDS OR BETTER THREW THE AIR 50YDS RUSHING OR BETTER DEPENDS GOOD RUNS THOUGH AN 100YDS EVEN MAYBE RECEIVING GOOD JOB GOPHERS AND THE TEXAS ST WAS THE TEAM THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN IT I KNOW PEOPLE WAS SO UPSET GOOD JOB THOUGH AND GREAT GAME BOTH TEAMS

  7. I'm going to send a dollar to the organizers of the Quick Lane Bowl. It is to be used to start a fundraiser to buy different colored paints for the endzones. How cheap can you get and not even put down the correct team colors? Booooo.

  8. This is not a real bowl game. It's just another game with a corporate name slapped on it. Quick Lane should be embarrassed to have a 5-7 team in a game they paid for.

  9. Bowling Green still traumatized nearly seven years after massacre.

  10. As a gopher fan, I honestly didn't want them to take the invite. There needs to be a higher standard of excellence. While I think people hate on PJ too much ( he has 3 9-win seasons in his tenure, which is more than all of the gopher coaches going all the way back to the glory years) But his time is coming to an end I think. The Row the boat mantra has grown tired and they aren't getting any 5 star talent or evolving the offense in any way. With the Big Ten adding more good teams next season, the gophers and a lot of other big ten west programs are going to be in the lower rung of the conference overall. Just too many good teams with better players ( OSU, Michigan, Penn State, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington). Finishing in the top 2 of the conference for a lot of these schools will be almost impossible.

  11. Gophers get a little revenge for being upset by Bowling Green in 2021. And how fitting at a Bowl Game.

  12. Thanks Falcons… You has 2 wins over them and while I like Minnesota, I figure I chose you.

    You disappointed me!

Congratulations to Minnesota as I wasn't aware but you needed the victory much more and got it! Well done!

PS: just go with Gophers ok? You and other sport teams just make it 1 word, especially plural but I don't mind that as much (like Glory is fine as so)

  13. Its BS Minnesota got into a bowl game, the bowl games were one short of teams officially eligible at 6-6 or better with at least 5 of those wins against D1A teams, so they gave 5-7 Minnesota a waiver since it had the best academic score of the 5 win teams, but here is the BS part, Army was 6-6 but because only 4 of those wins not 5 were against D1A teams they were ruled ineligible but Minnesota was also ineligible, so why would you not give Army that waiver instead of Minnesota, they actually won 6 games and we all know West Point is a FAR FAR better academic institution than Minnesota, like I said BS.

  14. Must they run the clock out with next to nothing?

Also ESPN College Football YouTube Channel highlights of the games are just that, not done in a way that it tells a story like CFL YouTube channel does. DUH!

  15. Got nothing against fake plays, but on a convert? That is too silly! Kick converts should die out (unless kickers need to be in Juniors thus BE A KICK PLAY) and it be 2 point or go to Kickoff w/o more point(s) unless in OT. None of this fake in converts much ok?

  16. I'd rather see Jackson State vs Bowling Green because i don't think a 5-7 team should get a bid. I think FCS teams that aren't eligible tor their playoffs should be able to apply for FBS bowl bids atleast.
