this weekend cuz we didn’t get too many
of those eight games six double digit
margins but Anthony Edward sure was
awesome with trust it all momentarily
first though quickly let me set today’s
schedule for you the next segment about
20 minutes Michael E is going to join me
he of course host Sports Center for ESPN
I’ll talk about the NBA playoffs with
him and about these heaters Scotty
Sheffer is on Nelly Cordon is on I
really don’t know if we’ve seen
something like watching in both
professional men’s and women’s golf
right now ever I’ll ask Michael EES
about that he’s going to join me in the
next segment when I finish talking to
him I will take a break come back do
five things you need to know which point
we’re going to discuss five previously
undiscussed stories among them five star
McDonald’s All America Jaden quance has
reopened his Recruitment and is
reportedly focused that’s his word not
mine on Memphis Louisville and Arkansas
get you updated on that situation we’ll

third segment NFL draft is this week big
event in Detroit we’ll spend some time
on that in just a bit and just a
terrifying scene this weekend in Orange
mount a block party was shot up leaving
multiple people dead the footage is just
outrageous we’ll spend a few minutes on
that awful story during a segment we
call five more things you need to know
then we’ll do gp’s carry out and we’ll
call it a day so that’s the rundown we
got a lot to get to but I did want to
start with the NBA Playoffs the 2024 NBA
playoffs because they got underway this
weekend and uh per usual it was an
elevated version of professional
basketball with the best athletes in the
world expending maximum effort in
pursuit of the 16 victories it’ll take
to hold the Larry O’Brien championship
trophy we had eight games this weekend
four on Saturday four on Sunday
everybody seemed to be trying real hard
but man it was just one blowout after
another again eight games play this
weekend six of them were decided by
double digits that’s seven 75% Bennett
Timberwolves beat the Suns by 25 Celtics
beat the heat by 20 bucks beat the
Pacers by 15 Cav beat the Magic by 14
Clippers beat the Mavericks by 12
nuggets beat the Lakers by 11 in all
eight playoff games this weekend were
decided by an average of 13.25 points
only one game was a one possession
contest in the final minute that was
Sunday nights 9492 victory for the
Thunder Over the Pelicans Shay gilit
Alexander was terrific he got 28 points
in that one beyond that though opening
weekend of the NBA Playoffs they were
fun I guess but not really competitive
big bet benett did you enjoy the
blowouts or did you get bored with them
uh I got bored got bored a little yeah I
got bored too it was not uh it was not a
great week of playoff basketball to kick
it off I I had I had high I had High
Hopes yeah I had High Hopes yeah it just
uh I think most of the games weren’t
competitive Anthony Edwards was awesome
though was he was great he was great he
was probably and that was
probably with respect to the Thunder and
the Pelicans I do think the story from
the NBA Playoffs from the weekend was
probably Suns Timber ws and not because
it was a great game because it wasn’t
but it did produce I I think the best
show from the
weekend um because it was Anthony
Edwards going back and forth with Kevin
Durant and you get this situation where
this young
star not only the face of the
Timberwolves but perhaps the future face
of the NBA along with Victor wanyama and
we hope John Moran abs absolutely
balling out in a way that really thrust
him into a a different place it’s one
thing to have big games in the regular
season they just kind of come and go but
when you have big games on these stages
particularly big stages against players
the level of Kevin
Durant the stature of Kevin Durant well
that it just resonates in a in a
different way so here is Anthony Edwards
this 22y old Allstar just absolutely
um having not necessarily the game of
his life but a really nice performance
on one of if not the biggest stages he’s
ever been on took 24 Shots made 14 of
them finished with 33 points nine
rebounds six assists he said after the
game and I think people realize this
that you know growing up his favorite
player was was Kevin Durant and this
weekend on a big stage he kind of cooked
Kevin Durant and then he talked wild to
Kevin
Durant um going back down the court at
this point some professional lip readers
have been able to figure out exactly
what he was saying to KD that made KD
Smile as he was walking down the court
um I’ll let you look that up I don’t
think I’m allowed to say all those words
but it was the scene from the weekend
and at the risk of getting caught up in
a moment it really did feel like a
moment like I
tweeted on
Saturday that if we are to look up in
two years or three years and Anthony
Edwards is the best player in the world
or one of the two or three best players
in the world we will look
at we will look at what
happened on Saturday inside the Target
Center game one of Timberwolves Sons
2024 NBA playoffs and remember that’s
that’s one of the the games where it
felt like okay here he comes he’s not
just having big games in the regular
season for a Minnesota team that’s
winning a lot of regular season games
but hasn’t accomplished much in the
postseason he’s doing this against Kevin
Durant in the Suns in game one of the
NBA Playoffs It Felt Like A Moment Like
if there’s an Anthony Edwards
documentary in 10 years and we’re
talking about this young man who
developed into an all-time great which
is where some people are projecting him
now I mean you hear more Anthony Edwards
Michael Jordan stuff than you hear about
anybody else in Michael Jordan if we get
to a point where he is universally
thought of that way as like the next big
thing or the big thing it feels like
we’ll look back to this past Saturday to
that performance against the Suns to
that performance against Kevin Durant to
what he said to Kevin Durant and what he
said after the game about Kevin Durant
it feels like we’ll look back on all of
that and that’ll be a moment where it’ll
be a significant moment in the career of
Anthony Edwards did you did you
recognize it as that as well or am I
overstating it a bit no I mean I think
uh he’s definitely established himself
as one of the best stars in the league
now and I mean I I’ve been on this
timber wolves B for long time I’ve been
on not not not no but you thought from
the beginning of this they could win the
west and you thought from the beginning
of this Anthony Edwards could be one of
the best players in the world like
listen I think everybody understands
both of those things now but In fairness
to you you were saying this when people
were laughing at you yeah now granted I
don’t I don’t I don’t want to feel that
way like I’m not a I’m I wouldn’t call
myself a Timberwolves hater but like I
don’t like seeing them kind of surpass
us a little bit I’m happy for them a
little bit uh I’m happy for the
conductor Mike Conley yeah yeah that’s
so that’s easy to get get behind is that
part of it but no these uh it’s hard to
watch the these teams that I wouldn’t
even call them our peers I’d say teams
that we considered below us now since
we’re not in the playoffs you know well
this is what Happ when your best player
gets suspended and then hurt and the
other on get hurt as well you get ped
yeah you get P like this stuff so it’s
hard to watch yeah I get that because we
like this is supposed to be us our time
yes absolutely this is supposed to be
our time this supposed to be there was a
I did have that moment this weekend as
well oh yeah where I was like we should
be going downtown today you know we
should be filling up a building today we
should be holding growl towels today
yeah and you do look around and whether
it’s like there was a moment in time
where if you look at Future Power
Rankings all that stuff the Grizzlies
were at the tip top of
that and it was like and then maybe New
Orleans could join them someday or maybe
Oklahoma City could join them someday if
they hit on these picks yeah or maybe
Minnesota if Anthony Edwards pans out
and now it’s like well Oklahoma City’s
the one seed they’ve got the real young
MV MVP candidate point guard and Shay
gilas Alexander that’s not really us
anymore right um
Minnesota yeah they look like they could
really go to an NBA Finals to be clear
anything other than at this point
Celtics nuggets is an upset a
significant upset set like it it does
feel like we’re headed towards Celtics
nuggets yeah we’ll see but but we’ll see
like I’m not I’m not going to rule Shay
Gil Alexander and the one seat I’m not
going to Ru the one seat out of this
thing oh I am I’m rolling them out I’m
not no no no I’m not I I’ll be suris no
way way no way like not a chance no like
no chance of them coming out of the way
you know what you might be right right I
mean certainly um from a probabilities
perspective if you just keep saying
there’s no way when they don’t make it
you’ll be right because they’re probably
not going to make it not to say they
won’t get I just don’t think they’re
there so when you say no way let me do
do you believe it’s
because youth you can’t get past Denver
or because it’s You Youth yeah I just
don’t think they’re there yet I think
they I think their time’s coming for
sure I just don’t think they’re there
yet well okay because you saw it last
night like they they that shouldn’t have
been a competitive game like the
Pelicans without Zion and now that’s a
veteran team and that was always going
to be a problem for Oklahoma City is
going up against veteran teams but yeah
you needed Shay to to carry them last
night but he did but can he do that the
whole playoffs I don’t know I don’t
think so I think the youth is going to
eventually bite them but I think their
time’s coming for sure oh but I should
be clear I listen anything other than
the Nuggets representing the West in the
finals isn’t
upset but I’m not I’m not dismissing
them as a no chance they are the ones
like let’s
say yic shoulder injury well yeah okay
now what are we doing now do you still
say no chance
no okay okay well then you don’t then
then you really just believe in Denver
and Minnesota I actually think take
Denver and just say they’re they’re out
of this thing yeah Oklahoma City got a
chance now I don’t think they’re getting
past the Timberwolves I think I think
Minnesota’s got a chance to win the West
for real I think you take Denver out of
this thing and the Clippers could win it
yeah the the Timberwolves could win it
the Thunder could win it I think you
take the nuggets out of this or just you
know give me a Jamal Murray or nicoa yic
injury that it opens things up as it is
I’ll be surprised if anybody other than
the Nuggets is in the NBA finals from
the west but I’m not completely ruling
out Oklahoma City but back to the
initial
point I was thinking about this this
weekend you know you when you are on
such a positive trajectory you you
always
assume it’s on the way yes and sometimes
it’s just
not sometimes it’s just not sometimes it
never
materializes um I always hate to anytime
I’m talking about bad stuff then bring
up the Mets but there’s a recent example
of Mets stuff with this you go back to
2015 and you can find like is this going
to be the best rotation in baseball
going forward it’s like Matt Harvey and
Jacob deg Gro Noah card and Zack Wheeler
and Stephen
matz okay that was in
2015 2024 none of those people are still
on the team damn all right mhm um it it
they never went to another world series
after
2015 Harvey was never the same after
2015 deg Grom was constantly hurt uh
mattz lost it synar got hurt lost it
just never happened it’s and now it’s
over like it will never happen and so I
couldn’t help think about that this
weekend like you and I should be clear
like J’s young Dez is young jiren’s
young there’s still many years but you
just always assume once you get to this
point like it just goes up like it’s
just we’re on our way when are we going
to get there not we don’t even really
discuss the possibility of not getting
there it’s like how long is it going to
take to get there yeah and then what
happened over the past 12 months
happens so this is a Lost season like
that you never get back now you can gain
some stuff from it as we’ve talked about
ad
nauseum Vince Williams G g a lottery
pick there’s some good that came out of
this awful situation but some of the bad
that comes out of this awful situation
is in a year where you slip not only in
the standings but in the consciousness
of like just NBA people you just
slip Oklahoma City is the one scene you
know what they are they’re younger than
you yeah all right you always assume
when you’re the young team you can get
better than the older team that’s better
than you now cuz they going to age out
of this thing and so boom you but what
if the team that’s now better than you
is actually younger than you too how you
make up for that right and now Anthony
Edwards is taking this
jump that looks like it ain’t going
nowhere now they got money problems
they’re gonna have to figure out yeah
they do but like that looks like that’s
going to be thing for the minute and you
just you hope to God that you don’t look
up and go it it felt like in 2022 we
were waiting on our time and then 2023
it did didn’t happen for whatever
reasons and 2024 is well documented and
what if 2025 you’re just not as good as
the Thunder or the temp like the nuggets
are still at the tip top you can’t beat
them but by the time you get better than
the Nuggets because joic is aged out or
whatever well then this younger Thunder
like it’s
just we’ve never really discussed like
what does it look like if that window
that we all thought was there just
doesn’t actually materialize what you
hope is that we never have to have that
conversation you know Jos said as
recently as you know the past couple of
weeks he feels like if they’re healthy
that they can compete for Western
Conference title and I agree with that I
mean they weren’t the two- seed in the
west the past two seasons for nothing
right right but we have watched some of
these other franchises that we thought
that we were ahead of like really take
jumps yeah and in the west right now the
two most obvious ones like the Clippers
were always if they’re healthy they can
be this the Nuggets were like when
they’re healthy this is what they are
but with the Thunder they were supposed
to be not you know they had to catch us
well they caught us timber wolves well
they’re going to have to catch us well
they caught us now how do we get back on
that level it could be as simple as just
be healthy just be healthy in fact I
think that’s probably what it is oh yeah
how do you get back to that level just
be healthy but you just hope that
because after a while it’s like all
right well next year will be the year
and then if it’s not well next year will
be the year then it’s not well next year
will be the year and then it’s not
either because of injuries or because
you’re not good enough or whatever and
you look up and it’s like oh well it
never happened remember that thing we
were certain was going to happen just
never happened
we need it to happen yep I want it to
happen I wish we were in the
mix it was like again like all the
blowouts yesterday and and on Saturday
and then on top of that just the
Grizzlies not being in it like yeah it
was a it was a rough start to the
playoffs hopefully it’ll get better this
week those even in those blowouts still
look like fun times you know yeah still
look like everybody was having a pretty
good time I’d like to have a good time
again I like playoff basketball we’ll be

the NBA Playoffs uh was about this
incredible thing that’s happening in
golf right now big bet Bennett are you
uh aware of of the incredible
performances we’re getting from Scotty
shefley Sheffer and Nelly Corda uh at
the same time I am not I KN I know he
won the Masters okay so Scotty sheff I
won’t SP spend much time on this cuz I
know I’m like the only person who cares
about goth but it really is historic
stuff Scotty Sheffer after winning the
Masters um then because he was already
um scheduled to play in the RBC Heritage
at Hilton Head um that’s a hard
turnaround you know he went wins the
Masters in Augusta he’s got a wife who’s
about to burst with their first child
there was some thought that he would
withdraw not some thought he said
definitively I will withdraw for the
Masters if my wife goes into labor
before the final round and that was a
big question like is he would he really
do it and you know we’ll never know for
sure because she didn’t but like that
was something he was dealing with so he
wins the Masters he flies back home to
the Dallas area and like spends time
with
his uh pregnant wife and then flies back
you know halfway across the country to
Hilton Head reportedly got there on
Wednesday day for a normal golf
tournament golfers is going to try to
get there on Monday no later than
Tuesday yeah yeah he gets there on
Wednesday he played nine holes practice
round that’s
it win’s the thing he’s now won five
times four times in his last five starts
and in the other start finished second
meantime Nelly quter on the LPGA Tour
just won this weekend for the fifth
consecutive time like oh wow she’s won
five straight starts like this is is not
normal in golf for some context like
even if you are the best golfer in the
world you’re not supposed to win a golf
tournament if that makes sense like I
any golf tournament yeah yeah you’re not
just stringing off win after win after
win right no one is the closest who’s
ever is Tiger obviously and there I was
looking it up this morning there were
times where tiger was actually the
favorite to win the golf tournament I
don’t mean the favorite among everybody
else I mean like if it’s Tiger Woods or
the field you would have to take Tiger
Woods at minus money mhm but that’s not
that’s so ridiculous like that’s a
that’s a moment in time and even in his
10-year run of dominance I think the
average Tiger Woods to win the
tournament was still like plus 180 it
was still plus money
so like even with somebody as excellent
as Scotty Sheffer or Nelly Corda they
are never supposed to win a tournament
if if it’s them against every body else
obviously somebody has to win every
tournament just like somebody has to win
every you know Mega Millions drawing
where there’s an actual winning ticket
somebody’s got to win but it ain’t never
supposed to be you it’s supposed to be
somebody but it ain’t never supposed to
be you it ain’t never supposed to be
Scotty sheffler it ain’t never supposed
to be Nelly CA in the sense that you
would always take the field over them
and yet if you would have taken the
field over Nelly CA five straight starts
you would have lost five straight times
and if you keep doing it against Scotty
Sheffer you’re going to keep losing
money as well like they are on some
incredibly impressive historic runs and
yet if I were to flash a picture of
Nelly cter right now Bennett would you
know what she looks like no okay this is
the thing that’s interesting to me we’re
in this moment where we really
are like there’s this moment for women’s
sports that’s happening right now a
women’s college basketball the WNBA
draft it’s all setting records more
people watch the women’s final four than
ever more people watch the WNBA draft
than ever now part perhaps some of this
is just well yeah Caitlyn Clark and if
you put Caitlyn Clark in a golf
tournament more people would watch that
than ever too right maybe that’s where
we’re at but it seems interesting to me
that in this moment where we are
celebrating Caitlyn Clark and Angel
Reese and and women’s sports we do have
a woman in sports an American woman in
sports who is
dominating a high-profile sport
and it’s just now starting to get
attention I mean why is Nelly Corda not
a bigger star oh I mean why don’t you
know who Nelly court is if she walked in
this office because and I’m not I’m not
disparaging anything no and I don’t mean
you like you know I mean like most
people don’t know Nelly Corda it’s
because nobody really watches the LPGA
Tour that I mean I’m just being honest
but here it is and and do you want to
know part of that and we can just keep
being honest um it’s it’s like I don’t I
wouldn’t know where to watch it okay you
don’t even know where to go right um any
sport where it is this is just true
like the LPG tour not many American
women are starring on that okay right we
like to watch like that’s you know we
tend to watch American Sports Americans
like that’s that’s what American Sports
is built on there’s not a lot of that in
the LPGA but now there is there there
American woman who is dominating the
sport and yet most people don’t know who
she is that seems it just feels like she
should be in commercials and everywhere
where it would be even if you don’t
follow women’s golf it’d be hard not to
know who this woman is and yet most
people don’t know her I think like you
know going back to the uh women’s
college basketball and the wnb like I
know where to find all that’s all right
it’s you know
ESPN it’s easy to find I don’t know
where you could even watch the LPGA well
golf is weird even if you’re watching
like a PGA Tour event it’s like okay it
starts on ESPN Plus and then it’s the
Golf Channel and then it switches over
to Peacock or where like what what
imagine if you were watching a Grizzlies
game and the first quarter was on balet
Sports Southeast the second quarter was
on TNT the third quarter was on ESPN and
the fourth quarter was uh you know on
ABC that’s like your average Thursday of
a golf tournament right so like they got
real problems like that but it’s just
like you have this this woman who is
dominating a a a you know a fairly
high-profile sport even if the lpj LPGA
isn’t
high-profile and I just can’t it’s it’s
interesting to me that she’s doing
things that are very rare and in some
cases unprecedented and most people
don’t seem aware of it I it’s starting
to change yeah I was going to say I mean
you’re talking about it right now but
had you heard about this even no okay so
you had even heard I had no clue right
yeah she won for the fifth straight
start yesterday I mean that is pretty
insane to win five straight golf
tournaments like that’s the type of you
hear about some 13-year-old golfer who’s
just 50,000 times better than every
other 13-y old golfer right this is not
stuff you deal with on the PGA tour or
the LPGA Tour for somebody to dominate
to this degree so was an incredible
weekend uh at the tip top at a sport on
both men’s and women’s go Scotty
sheffler wins again Nelly Cordo wins
again and you wonder if they won’t try
to tap into those two oh if you’re the
PGA Tour you have to there’s got to be
something you can do with these two
especially with the Liv and all that
like you got to hope that Scotty is just
a freaking star like all year long well
he doesn’t have the personality for but
he does have the game for it yeah I mean
if you’re just stringing off win after
win after win it doesn’t I don’t think
your personality even matters when it
comes to that sport yeah I
think I think maybe well it would be
better if it was Brooks Kea yeah who was
it’s not like tiger was ever a big
Personality yeah but he was just he was
just a monster in it of himself he was
just a different deal Al together it’d
be better if it was like Brooks or or
even Phil Mickelson Once Upon a Time
somebody with more of a personality but
the thing with sheffler is not everybody
likes Brooks not everybody likes
Mickelson everybody seems to like and
respect Scotty sheffler so perhaps it
works on that level like he’s the type
he’s the guy who you ask him a question
and he’s fine he’s just talking golf
with you but then you ask him a question
about his wife and he like chokes up a
little bit like he gets really choked up
just talking about how much he loves his
family like people people like that
right like and I don’t think it’s I
don’t think it’s disingenuous I think
it’s I think it’s real with
him everybody I know who knows him or
operates in that Circle seems to have a
high opinion of him so I think that’s
helpful but like we’re watching tip top
of a sport
historically incredible stuff from both
Nelly cord and Scotty Sheffer right now
and if I were in charge of any level of
golf I’d be trying to figure out how to
had to turn this into something more
than what it is because um it shouldn’t
be H you should not be unaware that
there is an American woman dominating
professional golf right now but you are
and I think most Americans are like this
should be front and center everywhere if
we’re really trying to push women’s
sports yeah we have something like if
you think Caitlyn Clark is amazing
because we’ve never seen anybody do
stuff like this well we’ never seen
really anybody do the stuff that Nelly
court is doing right now either
different sport but same type of
unprecedented Excellence we’ll see uh
we’ll see if her star Rises over the
next few weeks or so but uh either way
she’s hitting a golf ball pretty well

involved with a McDonald’s All-American
used to be headed to Kentucky but then
John caliper left so now he’s not going
to go to Kentucky but he’s considering
Arkansas where Cal coach is now also

past week Big B Ben it what’s going on

move oh I mean is that just a normal
week at this point having trouble moving

Thursday night we got seven-year-old
baseball practice right yep and uh you
know it’s just a normal baseball
practice and at some
point uh somebody says he hey we you
know Sun’s still not setting quite yet
and uh you know we got through all these
drills why don’t we play dads against
the kids oh nice dads against the kids
that’s a great bonding moment right
there yeah like kids will be like you’ll
remember this someday forever I remember
being a little guy and my dad and the
other dads being out there playing
baseball so like maybe we’ll create this
memory and so I grabbed my glove I went
out the second
base cuz that’s where I used to be
comfortable mhm I was kind of nice and I
got out there and it felt familiar yeah
like old times felt like old times I
felt like I was 17 again but I’m not I’m
30 years older than that and
so you know I got into the hole and made
a play at first and turned a double play
and we got into a little bit of a rund
down at one point and then I wanted to
show how I could drive a ball to Right
Center yeah if you’re trying to pitch me
away we did two or three Innings of this
and uh there’s not a single moment where
anything felt uncomfortable not a single
moment where I went oh my God I think I
might have hurt myself I was just
playing baseball a when you’re in the
moment it feels great when you’re in the
moment it feels great I was just playing
baseball with a bunch of seven-year-olds
and as you know we didn’t have a uh show
on Friday shouts to pug shout out shouts
to grind City media said hey you guys
seem like you’ve been working hard you
should have a day off so I talked to my
friend Chris Vernon and I said hey we
don’t usually you know we can’t ever
play golf on the weekdays we should we
should get a tea time on Friday morning
because we like we’re never we’re never
off on Friday morning so like we should
take advantage of this he says cool so
we decide we get a tea time good 8: a.m.
all right I wake up and I go to get out
of bed and I can’t move I mean I it
hurts and I thought maybe because I have
gotten to the age where sometimes you
wake up in the morning and moving ain’t
as easy as it used to be yeah you slept
wrong just something yeah but I always
like you know I can walk it off you know
just give me 10 minutes and I’ll be fine
and so I even though I couldn’t move and
I hurt I was like I’ll be fine by the
time I get to the golf course of course
let me swing a little bit I’ll be fine
never got fine had to quit after six
holes i’ to walk up the court oh that’s
embarrassing
humiliating yeah and then I still I was
holding out hope like oh it’ll just but
it’ll go
away I’m going to orto South at 1250
today are you really yeah I mean I can’t
move I’m not joking what are they going
to do pop you back in place I don’t know
what they’re going to do but I can’t get
out of this chair without hurting if I
try to get up right now it’s real pain
real pain I feel you I get it dude I
didn’t do
anything yeah here’s the here’s the
number one reason when people act like
Tom Brady could maybe come back I say
no and I understand Tom Brady and our
two different people yeah he’s been in
Germany he’s been getting those special
treatments I need a special treatment
yeah you need to go fly overseas get you

somebody my age could play quarterback
in the NFL after I just injured myself
kind of turning a double play yeah I
mean I think what one thing that uh you
prob proba should do a stretch more you
probably you’re not stretching enough I
know that about you you’re not
stretching enough I did not stretch
you’re not stretching enough I grabbed
my glove and I just got out yeah you’re
not stretching enough that’s that’s
problem number one and it’s funny to
bring this up when you talk about being
I’m sore as well we we were very active
this weekend it was a nice weekend with
the family but um I I’m sore my lower
body hurt it was hard getting up the
stairs this morning which has never been
a problem but but now it is so um I saw
at Target when we were at Target this
weekend and we have other friends that
do this now this become a thing have you
seen like the ice baths that you can buy
for your house like the inflatable like
like the ice plunge no but why would you
need that why wouldn’t you just fill
your bathtub up with ice I think well
because the ice plunge like you can’t
get unless you got a huge bathtub you’re
really not getting like all the The Ice
plunge like cover you got deep bathtub I
can get deep in my
bathtub for some reason I want to say
this is an easier process than filling
your bathtub up with ice but maybe I’m
wrong Maybe I’m Wrong it could be but I
thought about buying the ice plunge it
and I know other people that do it and
they swear by it I don’t know what
they’re going to do to me I don’t know
what they can do they might throw you in
an ice bath dude oh I’m not prepared to
take an ice yeah they might just throw
you in that ice bath for a little bit
you feel good yeah it’s it’s supposed to
be good for your muscles for your sore
muscles take get that get that ice on I
mean what what if I just get diagnosed
with elderly like what if that’s the
diagnosis like oh yeah we took we took
we need we did your x-rays we did x-rays
turns out you’re just elderly yeah maybe
you should stop running around with
seven-year-olds well maybe you shouldn’t
even have a seven-year-old dude they
maybe I shouldn’t even have a like why
do why do I even have a seven-year-old
at my age like who thought that was your
choice who thought this was a good idea
that was your choice I mean we I got a
5-year-old I’m barely surviving like it
is funny Kelly and I cuz like we’re
living this whole baseball thing again
like I can remember when Aiden was the
seven-year-old baseball player we were
the youngest parents now we’re the
oldest parents yeah now we’re the oldest
parents do you know we play a team my
seven-year-old plays a team where my
seven-year-old is on one team and a girl
I went to high school with her grandson
is on the other team damn that’s that’s
I see we grew up together we graduated
together and I said oh wow you got a kid
on this team she’s like yeah my
grandson’s on this team ouch I said oh
wow that’s a little young to I mean no
I’m not no no no no I’m just saying I
don’t think that I wouldn’t feel some
kind of way about that she’s young
Grandma 47 year old grandma she young
grandma Yeah she but by do the math on
it she’s probably like a 40y old
grandmother yeah that’s wild yeah to
each their own hey what’s better being a
40y old grandmother or a 47 year old
father people are having kids older now
that’s actually that’s actually a thing
too people are having kids older well
look how you end up look how you end up
well I don’t ever remember this
happening when I was a 27-year-old
father that’s tough yeah I don’t
remember I don’t remember having to go
to Ortho South when I tried to play
baseball with my oldest son when I was
30 dude I’m telling you that ice bath
didn’t look that expensive maybe I’ll
get an ice it was just sitting there at
Target next to like the inflatable
swimming pools I was like what maybe
I’ll just put a ice bath in my living
room dude I think you should get an ice
bath I think this will change a lot for
you I really do I do need to change a
lot for me like you can’t be going to
orthos out every week that’s a tough way
to live what if what if there’s nothing
wrong with me other than you’re just old
and you shouldn’t move like that like
what if that’s the diagnosis they come
back and they’re like uh so we did all
the Imaging and I’m like all right
what’d you find and they’re like you’re
just old and you shouldn’t be trying to
play with seveny olds right old man what
if that’s like that’s the answer now
just go lay down go lay down they’re
going to pop you back in place they’re
going to pop you back in place I hope so
yeah I want to go get my back popped I
wonder if Ortho will do that for me yeah

this is life might be time we we just
have to learn ways to manage our
soreness might be over for me no you

how old I am I saw Shawn Williams play
like a high school basketball showcase
at the Coliseum I’m sure before it was
right before it closed In fairness but

was at the Nike all- americ camp in
Indianapolis yeah and I had already done

story where Shawn Williams was not going
to go to the University of Memphis that
had been published in the commercial
appeal and his high school coach at the

the the idea behind it was the best
thing for Shawn Williams is to get out
of Memphis which by the way probably
probably true for a lot of different
reasons all right so that was the whole
story going into the summer Shawn
Williams you know festar recruit right
from Memphis but he’s not going to go to
Memphis that’s where we were all right
so I’m at the Nike All-America camp in
Indianapolis and they had it very strict
because it was a Nike event it’s like
you could talk to these five players at
this time and these 15 players would be
available at this time but you could
just talk to anybody when you wanted to
talk to anybody so anyway I go to the
media availability when Shawn Williams
is is
available and he when it’s over like in
you know it’s like everybody’s sort of
dispersing he’s like GP because I’ve
known him since he’s 15 years old at
this point he’s like you know 7 like
going into his senior year maybe he’s
like GP can you come to my room I’m like
yeah what he’s like you like room 244
whatever I’m making things up now he’s
like uh I’m like yeah sure he’s like I
want to talk to you okay go to his room
his girlfriend from Memphis is there she
ain’t supposed to be there oh right
right okay whole thing’s wild yeah he
says hey I’m ready to commit to Memphis
I said you’re ready to commit to Memphis
Yeah I I just want you I just want you
to print it I’m going to the University
of Memphis okay that’s what I do you got
the scoop nice he’s I’m like
but we just did a story that says you’re
not going to Memphis he’s like yeah but

and he wants me to write it and put in
the commercial appeal like
ASAP and John’s like go ahead that’s how
that’s how he committed like you could
probably find it it was at the it was
out of nowhere at the Nike All America
camp and
then
um you know there was a big thing back
here in Memphis Yeah like oh yeah that
didn’t go over he was awesome and then
he went he went to laurberg for a year
and he came to and he was really good he
was a part of the first John caliper
Elite 18 te yeah man in 2006 I know he
was there right before the huge run
right yeah so um he was great how did we
get on this
story uh another uh Jaden the McDonald’s
All American yeah but how did that lead
to Shawn Williams wasn’t Shawn
McDonald’s All American no he wasn’t Oh
I thought that’s how we got to I don’t
know I really don’t oh we were talking
about my back then we were talking about
Larry Bird’s back we’re talking about
how Jen qu quaintance quaintance seems
like he got a perfect back and that led
to Larry Bird having back problems and
then that led to Shawn Williams getting
cooked by Larry Bird in a shooting
competition and that’s the way the showe
goes sometimes yeah you know back to the
McDonald’s All-American he was committed
to Kentucky he’s young for his grade
like he’s younger than your typical
incoming freshman okay but he’s big and
athletic and you know he looks the part
when you look at him you go yeah that
that’s that’s what a McDonald’s all-
americ looks like so he’s now um
he uh is now down to Arkansas
Louisville and Memphis and I don’t think
it’s an accident that Memphis is
suddenly operating with nil money that
maybe didn’t exist six weeks ago or six
months ago the big announcement from
FedEx on Friday morning shout out shout
out so now Memphis is able to get in
there and and bang heads for McDonald’s
All-American with John caliper and at
Louisville Pat Kelce what we know about
both of these situations at Louisville
and Arkansas is that they have
incredible nil resources so Memphis
could not even get in this game without
real money like it’s just that’s the way
recruiting is now like if you hear
you’re involved and this this should be
clear about this this isn’t some
recruiting analyst or some memphis-based
reporter saying Memphis is involved with
a McDonald’s All-American this is the
player saying I’m focused on Memphis
Arkansas and Louisville right now you
can’t even get in that game unless you
have real money now and so this FedEx
money is is going to allow Memphis to
continue to recruit now it will not
because dollar like $5 million for four
sports that’s like no that gets spread
thin quick it gets spread thin quick
it’s a little bit like when we’re
talking about redoing Liberty Bowl and
FedEx for they’re like and we’ve got
$300 million or whatever it was it’s
like okay that that’s that’s 300 million
more than we had that’s amazing but it
enough to do everything we want to do
same thing here $5 million will not do
everything you want to do for football
men’s basketball women’s basketball and
baseball but it’s way more than you used
to have and it’ll do more than I’m
assuming most AAC programs so it should
allow Memphis to operate a level Above
the Rest of its League yes and be able
to pick Its Spots they they can’t go
bang heads with Arkansas or Kentucky or
Louisville Kansas Texas Alabama player
for player because they don’t have that
kind of money but can they pick a spot
and say well we can compete for this one
player yes and that appears to be what
they’re doing here I don’t pretend to
have any insight about where the young
man will will end up um obviously he’s
got a relationship with John caliper and
John caliper still wants him so maybe uh
you know keep an eye on that but just
the idea that Memphis because what we’ve
been hearing lately Memphis is involved
with it’s like a transfer from North
Texas or a transfer from you know
another AAC School well now here this
sounds more like what we used to deal
with Jaylen durran Amman Bates James
wisman precious auua Memphis is involved
with like a legitimate five-star High
School Prospect whether they can get it
done or not we’ll see but the fact that
they can get involved at this process at
this point in the calendar suggest that
they do have money available to them
because if you don’t have real money you
can’t get this young man to even look at
you at this point because uh the schools
he’s looking at MH they have new coaches
with tons of resources we’ll see number
two uh possibly the number one pick in
the 2024 draft formerly filed his
paperwork and is in as of this morning

different ways between now and the start
of the NBA draft but that’s one way to

growing Prospect it sounds like it

know a ton about Victor until he started
doing like you know summer league and
all that stuff well that’s the problem
with this draft is that a lot of the
best prospects are going to be g-league
prospects or International prospects not
players we’ve watched play in college so
those are the ones we’re going to be
most familiar with Reed Shepard jacobe
Walther uh Rob
Dillingham um you know th those are the
ones that people find it easier to get
excited about because you’ve seen them
you’ve watched them on big Monday or in
the final four or wherever a lot of
these prospects are guys that on the
night of the draft um most fans of most
NBA teams have never going to have seen
them and and this young man is is an
example of that the other issue with the
draft isn’t just the unfamiliarity but
whoever is pick number one it’s like
it’s not a typical number one pick
it somebody’s gonna be great out of this
draft because somebody is great out of
every draft but it’s hard to know who it
is in this I hate that you can find mock
drafts that will have
the how about this perfect this

pick in the 2024 NBA draft I found
another M draft that had him going 11th
you almost never see that think about
that in any other draft right somebody
thinks this person will go one and
somebody thinks this person will go 11
like in the Anthony Edwards draft it’s
like he might go one or three but it
ain’t one or 11 MH but now we really do
have a situation where somebody could go
one or 11 and you know yeah and I want
obviously we’re not going to know
anything until the draft lottery but as
far as like the grizzly situation goes
it does make
you like you wonder if you want it one
way or another as far as where they’re
going to be like if the Grizzlies were
to like get lucky and get a top three
pick then you obviously want there to be
a consensus on who the top players are
in this you want it to be more close
than what it is right now well think
about this you’ll see this on the night
of the lottery in the Zion draft if you
won the lottery they went crazy because
you’re getting Zion and even if you
finished second you’re like going crazy
CU you’re getting J and even if you’re
getting third you’re like disappointed
but you know what you’re doing yes RJ
Barrett in this one you don’t know what
you’re doing right somebody’s going to
win the lottery and it’s going to be
like now what do they do and it would be
like I don’t know and obviously the
Grizzlies front office probably has
conviction on who they want take
depending on where they’re going to be
slotted but you know you wonder what
benefits them are I would think if they
were to get in that seven range where
they’re projected that this actually
helps their case as as far as there’s
not a real consensus over who these top
guys are in this draft and maybe you get
lucky and get the best well what it what
it does is it makes it harder to to
ensure you’re getting the best player
with the first pick but makes it more
likely you’re getting the best player
with the fifth yeah or the seventh so
we’ll we’ll see but um yeah it’s going
to be a wideopen draft in the sense that
yeah front offices will fall in love
with this person or this person but it
will not be a consensus across the board
like if you think you’re GNA see
Jonathan gavone and every other NBA
draft analyst come to a consensus on
this unless they’re copying each other I
don’t think they’ll come to a consensus
on this like I’ve watched tape on all
these guys seen a lot of them in person
seen some of them for years and I don’t
have a strong opinion about who should
go number one there’s at least three
four five different players that I could
reasonably talk myself into and uh and
Zachary Ras I think rash rash that’s
what I’m going with Zachary rash is
among them I wish him luck

song it just it didn’t hit like that for
me yeah and there’s like she’s a great
writer so there’s great songs she’s very
good at writing those songs and she can
clearly write a lot of them cuz she did
I just don’t know that I needed all of

my wife got in a fight this weekend

way everybody does but there’s one of
the Sirius XM stations this weekend like
Channel 13 cuz I guess that’s her number
y Channel 13 had uh they were just
playing the album
out of order but just one track after
another yeah one track after another so
we put that on yesterday we’re driving
back and forth to uh you know baseball
and stuff and um put that on and so just
it every every song that came on I
wasn’t like oh this song sucks I was
like oh this songs fine no totally
listen just I don’t need I don’t need I
don’t need all these songs I don’t need
all of these I I think
um and I’m a big fan of like her big
like pop songs that’s the that’s what I
and that that’s not on this album this
is not there’s not like a big you know
radio hit there there’s nothing like
that on thisum even the post Malone song
is not like that’s the first single and
it’s like that song does hit I like that
I like how the album
start I like how the album starts you
got to let post Malone be post I like
that Florida song Too Florida it’s fine
that’s a pretty good song it’s fine

um but uh yeah if I were advising Taylor
Swift and and you know what after I
advised her you know what she might say

save some of them I to save some of them
for rain for a rainy day hey how do you
think she approaches the air because you

incorporate this album Into the aors
tour uh well I mean you can’t put it I
don’t think you could play any of those
at the end of because they’re not she
probably going to end it on there’s
enough big Stadium songs in there
there’s not a lot but
there’s the baddy I love him that song
will hit in a
stadium yeah she she’ll incorporate
it’ll incorporate got to yeah you have
to she she got a lot of decisions to
make this Taylor Swift she’ll be all

four NFL draft it’s this week are you
excited did you get excited oh I love
the D I love a good draft you know that
about me I love a good draft Tennessee
Titans picking in the top 10 yeah and I
don’t know what they’re going to do
because the consensus has been for
months now that they’re going to take
Joe Al the offensive lineman out of
Notre Dame but now he’s kind of
projected to be the top guy and now
folks are saying that he might go before
the Titans pick at seven and that’s
literally the only guy that I’ve had on
my radar at all CU literally every draft
analyst has suggested the Titans are
going to take this guy now it’s being
suggested he might go earlier um to Poss
possibly the Chargers cuz Harbaugh loves
offensive lineman and so I don’t know I
don’t know what they do now maybe they
take leam from Bama I don’t know Bennett
says he doesn’t know quarterbacks
expected to go one two three and maybe
one two three four do we get a fourth
quarterback I don’t know quarterbacks
have never gone one two3 four in the NFL
draft that’s what I was told Bennett so
yeah if the Patriots don’t move then
yeah the first three are going to be
quarterbacks it’ll be Kaleb Williams
will go one there’s like weird stuff
with Jaden MCD where Jayden Daniels
right now with the commanders but
I I think that’s just smoke I think
he’ll go number two I mean he just won
the Heisman he got a big arm like you
need something to excite that fan base I
don’t see how he didn’t go and Drake May
will go to the Patriots because that’s
just like the you know Bland Patriots
pick and I’m he looks like a patriot
doesn’t he he looks like a patriot I’m
sure he’ll be the next Tom Brady no but
they people are saying they might move
then they already try this they’ve tried
this draft the guy that looks like the
quarterback yeah yeah they’ve tried it
and it has not worked out so we’ll see
there new regime and keep drafting
people who look like Tom Brady exped
them to be Tom Brady I know I know but
maybe that’s what they’re doing but Tom
Brady M Jones and Drake May right next
to each other yeah Y and so then you got
the Cardinals at four I mean everybody
says the best player in the draft is
Marvin Harrison JR out of Ohio State
but and they would make the most sense
to take him just because they don’t have
any receivers um and if you want Kyler
Murray to have a good season you
probably need to get him some
weapons uh but my whole thing is if
Marvin Harrison Jr is the best player in
the draft why would he go number four
that’s kind of where I just don’t
understand that thinking because people
prioritize quarterback quarterbacks sure
that you got nothing if you don’t have a
quarterback I get that but man if you’re
the Patriots like you have so much you
have so much you’ve got to do to get
that thing back here’s the thing
sometimes these these like these
incredible receivers they make the
quarterbacks or at least they can
dramatically improve your quarterback
yeah like um yeah instead of looking for
the next great quarterback if I didn’t
think he was there I might just keep my
mediocre quarterback and give him Marvin
Harrison see if that works right you
know right and so we’ll see I mean the
interesting one’s going to be like what
does Harbaugh do at five with the
Chargers like because they’ve got
Herbert there but JJ McCarthy is his guy
you know he’s the kind of around
consensus fourth best quarterback in
this draft does he want to reset this
whole thing and get go get his guy I
don’t see that I don’t know I don’t know
why you would do that but he’s a quirky
dude but don’t people think Justin
Herbert’s the guy don’t people think
that he’s the guy why you go draft
another guy who might not beat the guy
when you think you got the guy don’t
people think that about him Justin
Herbert’s a good NFL quarterback yeah
you gonna sit on that for a minute then
you probably would but but Harbaugh’s a
a quirky dude he’s gonna take my guy Joe

like you know what it’s going to be a
boring draft for the Titans it’s going
to be fine though we got to fix this
offensive line and now this dude’s going
to steal our guy and I don’t know what

now he’s got harball in the Chargers at
number five taking Malik neighbors a
wide receiver and at number seven he
does have Joe Walt your offensive tackle
from Notre Dame headed to the Tennessee
Titans drafted this week oh I’m excited
dude I’m fired up yeah let’s go not
really fired up number five what a scary
scene in Orange Mound this weekend yeah
man did you see the I did videos holy
gun what do you do about that
like you you see something like that and
then the mayor releases a statement and
I guess that’s what you got to do but if
we reached the point where folks are so
Brazen that you just walk up steal
daylight
MH it’s a a group of
people very visibly
carrying what appears to be automatic
weap M and they’re just going to fire
off into a crowd of two or what do you
do about that like everybody’s talking
about we got to get how do you get that
under control it’s a good question I
mean that that’s and that’s an
interesting point you make like I don’t
know that I’d be walking up to a crowd
where people are just waving guns around
like that sounds a little risky um but
people clearly did it right like you
know there’s a huge crowd of people and
there people and then and then people
start shooting um so I don’t know like
that was just
like I saw people fighting online about
I saw somebody some PE person I’m
unfamiliar with but some reporter tweet
something like you know look like a war
zone and then other people are like well
that’s disrespectful you know you don’t
know what a war zone is and now
everybody’s arguing about war zones I’ve
never been in a war zone I don’t know
what a war zone looks like I know I
watched those videos on Saturday night
and what I saw was a bunch of men with
weapons
like approaching a crowd and they
weren’t trying to sneak up it didn’t
look like to me it was just like yeah
yeah yeah here’s our guns no you saw the
video Yeah pop just start spraying yep
and we’ talked about this before like
when when when when when people have
reached a point where like it don’t like
they a even try not to get caught it
doesn’t look like it’s just like we
about to blast this place what do you do
about that I don’t know and we live in
this I mean obviously we live in a gun
culture Society um but the thing that
changed so much from when I was like you
know younger in my 20s that I just don’t
know how you get back from this and
because we’ve talked about this before
when there was confrontation like people
thought like that when there was
confrontation when there was big crowds
and there was
confrontation people got in fist fights
and maybe somebody got hurt bad but for
the most part like that’s that’s that’s
what happened big crowds drinks
everybody’s acting
crazy you know sometimes people get in
fights and now people just shoot at each
other that’s the thing that’s changed
the most I can tell you when I was a kid
I I never used to be scared of that ever
like and now and now big crowds like and
and things start getting a little sketch
like I’m like oh are people going to
start shooting each other like when
confrontations start happening that’s
what you worry about now you can
reasonably assume that somebody this
confrontation is holding a gun yeah and
I I I mean listen I ain’t been in a
fight since I was a kid and um so you
know but I imagine if I were holding a
gun if I were the type of person
carrying a gun and suddenly I get my ass
beat you might reach for the gun at some
point right I I can’t get hit again so
you can see how all this stuff happens
but to be clear this wasn’t that we
don’t know what led to this but this was
just like there’s a neighborhood party
yeah man and like But Here We Come and I
I know it’s very easy particularly
for certain people who live in different
parts of the city to be like well you
know that’s a bad part of town or like
that’s one of our proudest communities
absolutely and that might not be your
neighborhood but that’s somebody’s
neighborhood you know moms and dads and
kids live there and in one of the videos
I saw you can see like an adult with a
child
sort of walking in the other direction
as these men who were just coming with
like that kid had to see that and and
here’s the thing that was crazy to me as
I’m watching a video the kid didn’t see
seem startled it was like yeah I’ve seen
people with guns before like I don’t
know that my kids have ever seen people
just walking around the neighborhood
with guns right of course they
haven’t but like that kid didn’t seem
startled by what he was seeing that
that’s tragic mhm and then of course
what happens happens and
you know I know Mayor Young put out the
statement and in that statement
somewhere there was uh you know we are
all orange male right now and then you
know you get some racist and weirdos who
want to well I’m not orange man
like that’s somebody’s Community that’s
like you know we we have neighborhood
stuff in our neighborhood sometimes all
right and it never occurs to me that
something like that could happen cuz I
guess it would MH but like that’s
somebody people were just having fun
yeah man should be able to hang out and
gather in big groups and not have to
worry about that yeah congratulations I
guess if that’s not your neighborhood so
you don’t have to worry about it but
like that’s people are dead and children
are traumatized forever because they had
to experience what happened on Saturday
night and the awful part of it is just I
don’t know what I don’t know what the
solution is actually ran into mayor
Strickland uh last week I was just
having lunch and getting some work done
and saw him and we so we talked for a
minute and he just
looked
so stress relief you know like it’s just
we talked a little bit about the
pressures and the stress of that job and
I admire anybody who would want to
tackle it yeah I just don’t understand
exactly how you can even wrap your head
around how to fix it how to even improve
it I don’t know what to do you know and
like so you just wait for next awful
thing but the the videos coming out of
that were just almost hard
to I guess maybe not hard to believe
given where we’re at as a community but
it was
pretty this wasn’t like some drug deal
gone bad no although it might have
started with that I don’t know but this
was like hey there’s a whole bunch of
people the estimates were between two
and 300 people just having a
neighborhood get together it’s daylight
you should be safe in your neighborhood
and day
yes you know you should be able to
whatever they were doing at that
neighborhood party you should be able to
do without being at risk
of you know like I was at baseball
fields this week and imagine if 15 dudes
showed up with automatic weapons or
whatever it was and just started like
walking up what M that’s really what
happened you know not you know I I saw
somebody
tweet the some of the best amateur
basketball players in the country are
coming a few streets over from that
place that’s right the big Sports and
Event Center Liberty bombing happened
right right down the street it’s just
it’s just real scary and and and
demoralizing because I’m my the way my
mind works is I like to wrap my head
around problems and then try to figure
out how to solve them you know and just
things in my own life okay like this is
an issue how do I make this right this
is an issue how do I fix this and this
is one where I don’t know that there’s a
great
answer certainly I hadn’t seen anything
be too effective lately so just scary
stuff it’s just you know you have a a
good day on whatever day that was I
guess Saturday you know we hung around
the house and we watched basketball and
you know we did baseball stuff and and
uh went to a birthday party and hung out
with some friends and you come home and
sort of settle in and that’s what I see
just uh you know you know I don’t have
anything great to say about it it’s just
a sad thing that happened this weekend
and Hope the next one’s a long ways away

out it’s time for gp’s carry out one
final segment filled with stuff to take
with you it’s not everything you need to
know but it’s most of it what did we
learn today whole bunch of stuff but we
mostly focused on the NBA playoffs in
that opening segment eight games this
weekend four Saturday four Sunday day
six of them were double digit margins
only two games decided by single digit
only one came down to the final minute
that was last night Oklahoma City and
New Orleans still Anthony Edwards
probably the show of the weekend had a
massive game against Kevin Durant talk
wild to Kevin Durant we got three more
games tonight all of them are supposed
to be singled digigit games according to
the points sprad are you more optimistic
tonight big bet Bennett that we’ll get
competitive basketball we didn’t really
get it this weekend so two of the three
the two East the magic and Cavs and the
76ers and Knicks I actually think those
two series have potential to be the most
competitive Series in this first round
of the playoffs so I’m a little more
optimistic about tonight because I think
those both have a chance to go pretty
deep into the series I want Lakers
Nuggets but buddy that looked like easy
work the other night I mean it just did
here’s I saw Sam Quinn who covers the
NBA for CBS Sports he also is like a
Lakers fan lives out there I believe
sure and so he I’m always interested in
his takes on the Lakers because he’s
like closer to it he like literally
watches every bounce yeah got him and he
understands all the salary cap stuff and
so when people are proposing trades he’s
like always the person I go to he’s like
yeah well this wouldn’t make sense
because of this or it would make sense
because of that yep he’s like a he’s an
expert in the Lakers and he tweeted at
some point this weekend
like you can
keep thinking that well you know if
LeBron does this and AD does that and
this and that it’s like these teams have
played a lot oh yeah the Nuggets beat
him what like eight in a row or
something crazy like that if there was
something to figure out they would have
already figured it out you know yeah
like did you
see I want to say it was a Saturday
game was it Suns Timberwolves didn’t
they play at the very end of the regular
season I believe so and I think that I
think I want to get this right so let me
check I think they played at the very
end of the season and
Phoenix maybe beat their brains in all
right
mhm and then they play again this
weekend and Minnesota beat their brains
in and the thought process was well yeah
they didn’t show them anything in that
final regular season game all the
adjustments that you would make you
don’t make them for the final regular
season game because you don’t want to
show them nothing so you just make them
for the playoffs and now here we are mhm
the point Sam was making about the
Lakers Nuggets was like if they if there
was something to do they would have
already done it yeah there’s nothing
it’s basically the same Lakers team and
the same nuggets team and they they just
can’t beat him you know yic is just too
good The Supporting Cast is just too
they’re just really good so I too I want
the Lakers like if they lose this series
end of the LeBron ad
era or do you run it
back you never know with him it would be
LeBron right you know could LeBron look
at like let’s say the Knicks get close
but can’t quite do it right could he
imagine himself going to New York and
teaming with Jaylen Brunson and trying
to like that’s that is the the pattern
in LeBron’s career it’s never been like
I’m tired of being here or I want to be
there it’s like I can’t I won here I
can’t do it anymore it’s time to go and
the place that I’m going has some pieces
everyone yeah he he didn’t come back to
Cleveland after going to Miami because
he wanted to be home
again he recognized I can go win a
championship there Kyrie Irving is
awesome Kyrie Irving is awesome we have
the number one pick we can flip that for
Kevin Love it’ll be me Kyrie and Kevin

much time left I know I I’m not I’m not
certain he’ll play in LA next year and
also the bronny factor what happens with
him in the draft does he get drafted
where does he go yeah the other side of
it is you know La always has a way to
get things done like Demar D Roan’s
talking now yeah like I’m just I you
know I love Chicago but I want to win
there’s going to be a whole lot of I
love this place but I’m ready to win Stu
at the end of this these playoffs it
could be Giannis it could be Dame it
could be Demar D rozan it could be Trey
young Deonte Murray so the other way is
like they can just figure out a way to
get another big time player to La
although it’s not as easy as you know
snapping your fingers but I’m not sure
we really could be watching the last
days of LeBron
James uh playing for the Lakers because
like Sam Quinn pointed out if there was
something the Lakers could do to to to
actually beat the Nuggets in a seven
game it was like you could flip this or
do this or try
that would have already done it right
these teams have been playing each other
a lot and it’s pretty clear which one
the better one is what’s today’s biggest
game oh let’s go with that one okay
Lakers in the Nuggets they’re in Denver

nothing after this weekend’s game one
victory tonight Denver 7 and a half

the seven and A2 in hopes that they will
