all right good all right Ben padon great
round of golf today just give me a recap
of round one and what went out that out
there well we came out of the gates both
playing really well uh both birdie in
the same holes you know ideally we’d
like to mix it up uh but we we started
well and uh just kept it going whenever
one of us needed the other uh we stepped
up and ham egged it and um he was a
fantastic partner he I needed him out
there and and he stepped up yeah it was
a lot of fun you know like he said we
got off to a nice start both bued a
couple holes early and then uh you know
yeah we just kind of you know took our
turns but you know we’re just you know
try to hit it in the right spots and
give ourselves a lot of looks out there
and um you know for the most part we
were we were both in it most of the
holes you know both of us took a break
on a couple holes but you know that’s
what that’s what the team’s for so um
you know we picked each other up and and
uh you know had a good day yeah and what
was the most memorable out there any
putts that were great any of the
birdies all of it yeah yeah they were
all fun um yeah we made some nice putts
it was uh he and I proud ourselves on
our putting and uh I think that’s one of
the reasons that we’ve done well and um
we made some nice putts hit a lot of
good shots and uh I don’t know there
were some high fives and some some uh
camaraderie we had a good group uh Zack
Blair and Patrick fish bur were fun to
play with and uh overall it was just a
fun day yeah and you mentioned you’ve
been Partners before just not in this
event so how did this come about who
asked to uh Ben approached me uh yeah it
was earlier in the year and you been
approached me we’ve been buddies for a
while and
um it’s it’s a good match yeah very
comfortable you know we’ve played a ton
of golf together and known each other
for probably about 12 years now so um
yeah it’s been uh you know great time
out here and looking forward to the rest
of the week have you been able to pull
on any past experience given you guys
have played in the event
before yeah I’ve played in this event uh
the team event I believe almost every
year I think I’ve played four times I’m
not sure how many years the the
tournament’s been going as a team event
but I’ve played or this is my
fourth uh so yeah it’s it’s a fun fun
event I I look forward to it I think
I’ve had a different partner every year
so hopefully next year Ben will have me
again yeah yeah no it’s great I mean
I’ve played here a couple times before
only once in the team event so um
yeah you know it’s something different
you know it’s pretty fun just you know
getting out here and like you said
having a partner not something we get to
do hardly ever so um yeah it’s fun kind
of lean on someone else and uh you know
have that camaraderie out there definely
and a little different format hadn’t
into tomorrow so what’s the strategy out
there same thing we’ve been doing I mean
just you know trying to put ourselves in
the best CH best spots that we can and
you know picking each other up when you
know something doesn’t go right so
that’s all you can really do um you know
like they say just stay in the moment
and uh you know hit the best shot you
can at each point and and we’ll see
where that puts us yeah we play one ball
all the time we just don’t alternate so
it’s it’s just that we just uh take a
little break between shots and try to
pick each other up and uh and make some
birdies Perfect all right thank you guys
