right just give me a little recap of
round one today what went well out there
uh my partner played really well which
was great um yeah I helped on a few
holes but foxy played incredible he
played nice nice and solid yeah it was
good day um we get along really well so
lots of lots of banter out there um I’ve
got a South African caddy and he’s got a
New Zealand caddy so we we kind of give
each other yeah good chemistry we give
each other a bit and yeah I played nice
um the whole day and sort of G struggled
a little bit at the start but came right
at the end made a few birdies when it
mattered you know a nice one on nine to
finish and you know we said with sort of
five or six hes to go if we could get to
nine we’d be pretty happy and we did
that we did yeah so mission accomplished
perect and recap on some of those
birdies what was the most memorable one
of today memorable um well I think the
first one was great that was Tapp in
three-footer from foxy um but yeah there
were there were many so yeah it was his
memory is better than mine but the first
was a good start yeah I think for us
probably the last the last three were
the best I mean there are some chances
out here especially in that format and
um you know we made one from off the
green on seven we both did um I made one
from off the green on eight and G had a
great shot into nine to about what 8 ft
maybe and and made it and you know that
certainly was going to make lunch taste
a lot better you know we were sort of we
had a lot of nice shots and maybe didn’t
take advantage of it through the middle
of the round and it was nice to finish
with those three at the end I agree yeah
so we’re ready to go tomorrow definitely
and talk about this partnership you know
how did it come about how are you guys
feeling um well it came about uh in Feb
right yeah yeah I mean we we’ve known
each other for a little bit um obviously
prisoners Cup in September so hopefully
if we both keep playing well we can join
up there again so um yeah it’s a good
week for that yeah we get yeah as J said
we get along well um you know the
caddies get along really well that helps
as well and it was just an easy easy
partnership and just talk about rugby
and various other things going around
and have a bit of fun and it’s um it’s
worked so far hopefully we can uh keep
each other out of trouble and fors
tomorrow yeah we knew it was going to be
a good week regardless of the golf for
sure good and then what about strategy
going into tomorrow um do a bit of the
same um I think I’m going to go on evens
um so foxy will have a few more par 3s
um he hits his signs of Club further so
that’s already a positive um but yeah I
think tomorrow’s obviously the forom is
the kind of the the tough one so if we
can both play well I’m sure we’ll score
really well yeah it’s it’s a tough
format I’ve I don’t know how much G’s
done it but I’ve played a couple of the
World Cups of golf with that format and
it’s it’s weird trying to do it in
stroke play um you know you’re it’s hard
to get into a rhythm so I think you know
it’s it’s the opposite of today today
you kind of take everything on and
tomorrow you’ve got to be a bit more
circumspect and um sort of Hope one of
you gets hot with the Putter and he’s
the guy that ends up putting a lot um
yeah we’ve got a good strategy and
hopefully it plays plays out well
