the 34 yearold from Ohio Justin low this
Birdie on the 18th part of three birdies
the last four as low was the first to
post five under par 67 at Bay Hill a
score match a few groups later by Hideki
matama already a winner of one of the
signature events on tour this year he
won the Genesis at Riviera this is third
at the par five and matama chips in part
of his round a 5 under par 67 so so
those two share the
lead Jordan was hitting it beautifully
on the on the Range this
morning he moves to two under quickly
we’re over at the six one of the great
holes to watch every year at Bay Hill
and here’s Fleetwood for
birdie Fleetwood probably his best
friend out here on the PGA tour this
week Scotty shuffler yeah Stephen most
players would like to play with their
best buddy out there can relax you right
after the start and these guys have been
great back at the fourth in colum morawa
to get into red
figures and he rolls that birdie in so
AFF for the par five one under par and
you turn to a dog leg 400 yd Par Four
and bend on to get to even par yeah one
of those rare holes out here that you
feel like you can make birdie little
tucked pin on the right hand side fast
down the down the slope if he wants to
hit it tight yeah I’d expect this to be
just a little left of the pin the green
All Slopes from left to
right he took a dead
aim and that one carried by yards not
maybe even one yard
exactly he’s trying to peel it back
toward the flag it’s not coming
though that’s a pretty good shot to fast
put down there but uh I think he will be
happy with that
one remember when Victor hwiin said so
bad on the T well how about so far today
at 17 as he makes the birdie putt 5′ 11
in he went from so bad to so far so good
the best of anyone incred interesting he
says he wants to fade it like he used to
he hit it his best in 221 and now he’s
drawn it a little bit but good shot and
great two up at 18 Nota here’s Burns for
birdie yeah half the distance up the
hill can give it some
speed there you
go lvi oberg stepping into this one one
over for his first three so far for one
of the talented young stars on the PGA
tour and he rolls that
in that’s where the lead is at the
moment
567 Justin Thomas nice t- shot at the
par three this for a
two putting down the hill and that one
drops for J
all right it’s Justin Thomas clean card
on the day usually we say last week’s
winner but earlier this week the Monday
finish off to NE Road the winner of the
cognizant is second here at
18 as he plays as a PGA Tour winner for
the first time his 50th event his us
Amer Championship back at the Country
Club of Detroit spe for
birdie just
enough and a really good start Luke for
Jordan speed in this opening round today
that was number six so the nice third
from oberg Steve a moment ago and that
is his birdie putt at number six so he
walks away with a four he had a little
bit of a
weight longish putt
here 43 ft leav the flag stick in yeah
that would have gone in without it Ste
beautiful roll for Ben on still looking
for his first ever PGA Tour Victory
great start this is Cameron young he’s
trying to get back to even par but one
step at a time yeah this is a dicey hole
location in the back left of the green
players have to play pretty
conservatively but not Cameron Young on
that pun 31 ft there’s the one step that
he needed chance for a good look maybe
at birdie if he can set himself up to 16
can’t lay his second at the par
five looking it up and down he likes the
look of it why not what a shot is that
going to be a two not
quite fabulous shot for Patrick Klay who
can use one here thick rough right at
the green here for sath look how far
back in his stance he has that ball
shaft leaning forward just dragged the
handle forward just take a hack at it
and have it go down how about that from
Saw totally different chiens the eagle
on 12 that crashed in the flag stick
that one barely got to the front
edge more than one way to play this game
isn’t there Steve you have to take
another look at this how exactly do you
hit this shot and have it succeed the
way he did barely see the ball I love
how he just pulls the clet back away
almost like shield and the
sword it’s amazing it gets so narrow
down there smiley for
driver but they want to have this little
wedge especially with that hole location
they look more up the green too we’ll be
happy with this yes he will that’s
really not a surprise to see Jord us
spin to bring it down closer to the hole
like that the fall line looks like he’s
aiming just on the left
side y well that’s three ideal shots for
birdie there two starts in his career
here at Bay Hill two tie for fourths
Rory maroy ready to go here got to pass
spe Drive needs to slope in a little
draw to bring it back down towards the
whole
location there we go was afraid that
might spin back like he did on the last
hole but that was in between clubs for
Rory
there and we’ve got a third man jumping
up to 500 par sah theala who had a good
showing almost won the first of the
signature events on tour this year Rory
maroy 331 yard Drive couple of feet for
a birdie so spe goes 328 for a three
maroy does him three more but gets the
same score at the 11th oh he found an
uphill put here Mike even though went a
little bit past the hole and definitely
one he can be aggressive
with all right a little climb back here
from some of the big
names well that’s one of the better iron
shots to get it ho high on the left side
of this cup here
see that little bit of right to left
break rare two here jump ahead now to
the 14th hole and Cameron young had a
very nice t- shot in
here conditions pretty benign right now
again greens are still soft not much
wind most of that action seen right here
on Golf Channel throughout 11 again
Shane low is just kind of cruising along
here in the latter stages of the first
round it’s where spe Park stting a
little bit right that’s unexpected but
you will run to the 12 t look at
that pretty good contact it sounded like
some cut off the Finish hold the face
from turning
over maybe should all time what a shot
he’s hit three good wedges on on go 101
and there man on your Rider Cup team
Shane loward two great shots to get to
here with his hands he’ll fancy this one
and in it goes and that puts him in time
for the lead little Eagle so birdie
birdie eagle run for Lowry and as Steve
said
before round one in the books here at
Bay Hill and Shane Lowry with that
terrific run around the turn puts
himself at the top of the leaderboard
let’s not forget Hideki matama justtin
low low in the third group off shooting
67 sa theala chipping in a couple of
times leading that group at 68 Henley
and Hodges were early Jordan spe a lot
of scrambling his 69 Justin Thomas 69 as
well Min W Le played well last week big
big group of players 13 and all sitting
at three under and three back there’s
world number one Scotty Sheffer he and
morawa lead the two unders Rory M’s a
couple back off the list you see
there

pga marketing needs help.
Shitty year for golf but gotta love bay hill
Will someone please wake up the editor of these vids? YAWN! 75% putts–two minutes before we see a single full swing…
Hideki follows up his 62 at Riv with a 67 at Bay Hill on a bum shoulder and we see one chip lol
Don’t show me the 67 no no show me putts from guys +1
Why does the PGA tour assume anyone is interested in putts going in a hole, boring. 80% of this video is putting highlights, a waste of my time. I'll start watching LIV, time better spent.
