uh we’re so happy to have McKenzie
Hughes start us up in 2024 McKenzie
thanks so much for joining us joined you
at a pretty good time here after uh
driving the green here at 14 you must be
feeling pretty good about your game
about right now yeah I was telling my
caddy I uh hope you have that one tape
that was uh that was a nice time to hit
the uh best Drive of the
day so you are 50th on the FedEx Cup
standings last year you ended thinking
you were 50 first some people know about
the story but tell us about how your
schedule totally flipped when John ROM
joined Liv and you became 50th to punch
your ticket to this signature event and
all the rest of the seven Signature
Events to follow this one at the century
yeah um obviously that was a really nice
bonus for me um you know I don’t like
the circumstance that you know I guess
brought me here but now that I’m here
here playing these big events uh yeah
you can’t beat it and uh my schedule
changed pretty drastically
because rather than trying to play my
way into those events this year I’m
building my schedule around them so uh
yeah huge bonus and uh very thankful to
be here McKenzie you finished last
season very strongly back in November
seventh place in Cabo second place at
the RSM has some of that really good
play carried over you had six weeks off
you feel like you’re right there or is
there a little work to do uh both um I’d
say that uh there’s been some really
good stuff and then there’s been some
stuff where I feel like you know that
those are golf shots that come when you
have had six weeks off in competition so
um we’re getting there uh kind of almost
halfway point here and starting to feel
a little better about it but uh still
work to do McKenzie this is a huge year
in golf you got the Olympics on the
table you’ve got another President’s Cup
which is going to be staged in your home
country of Canada so in light of you
getting in all these Signature Events
you have a chance to really make a mark
not only you know in the majors and the
big events but in those two events which
I know are very important to you and
Canada yeah those are two uh big big uh
big goals of mine and um I’m sure I’ll
be reminded of those a lot throughout
the year so um but obviously just kind
of day to day I need to kind of just
keep doing what I’m doing and um if I
keep doing the right things day over day
um I like my chances but those are two
really big ones for me and I would uh I
would give anything to be uh on those
teams well best of luck to you uh
getting to those goals and then best of
luck in your upcoming Eagle attempt here
