will Alat Tores had the tournament by
the throat if if that’s possible on a
Saturday I mean it was a brilliant
display of golf at least through the
first uh 13 holes or so four birdies in
his first 10 brandle here he is at the
par 4 11th rolling it from 32 feet and
look this has been just marvelous to
watch as he’s fought the demons with
this club this thing wobbled all over
the place early in his career no more
it’s pretty uh solid on the way back and
solid on the way through and that was
spectacular at 11 here’s a guy who can
putt as well he is reliable from this
distance 13 ft gets to seven under he’s
four behind will at this point Scotty
sheffler jumps into the picture here he
is at the 12 he was pushing and pulling
pots on the front nine turned in two
overpar made a nice bird at 10 bogey at
11 so trying to get back on the birdie
train with just a sizzling little wed
shot there remember yesterday he played
the last seven holes in five under par
well this was an encore performance for
him on
Saturday yeah Windam Clark how about
this doesn’t look like it’s going to get
to the hole and it falls over the one yd
line into the end zone that’s an eagle
at the par 512 from 17 ft he’s two back
of zot Taurus shefer 13th lots of
variety on this gol course this is a
position hole you lay up off of the te
which he did you carve it up with a
wedge which he did then you hope to make
him pot from about 10 ft which he did
and Ral after a bgee 14 here zotor 15
yeah this hole was really his downfall
and think about it he lost a five shot
lead in one hour didn’t get it out of
the bunker the way he needed to still in
trouble over in the rightand rough he
should have been thinking how do I make
a five at this point and this putt four
of five the first one he didn’t hit with
any conviction today that was really
weak double bogey six the lead is gone
right one back of Clark he’s 8 under now
Randle the Sugar Shane Lowry looks good
sweet indeed he turned his six under par
because he turned well he shot one over
on the front line lost a shot birdi 10
bird uh excuse me bird 11 birdie 12 so
back on that birdie train and brle how
about Scotty Shefler way he’s putting
look he he’s gotten better every single
day day number one 31 putts day number
two 27 putts day number three today 26
putts he was in the top 10 in Strokes
game putting we’re going to dive into
that a little bit more detail later in
the show and rol how about the touch
here at the 16th yeah roll reversal uh
in a lot of ways but sheffler with a
thick lie there ball above his feet uh
and pitches it out to a beautiful spot
there 2 and 1/2 ft from the hole by
birdies on the back 932 round of 70 tied
for the lead at 9 under alator a tough
finish here brandle look as bad breaks
go this was top tier he was drove it in
the right rough uh just left of the
green it plugged on a down slope so a
blast went off of the green he pitched
there downhill right to left putt double
bogey at the 18th hole to go with the
double bogey at the 15th hole it kind of
undid all that great work he did on the
front nine but still when you add them
all up at day number one it was one to
the good on a very tough day all right
Ral Wham Clark here at the 18th not a
great
look no look at how hard that club is
going down in the grass I’m not sure
what he was doing there uh take another
look at it right here it’s clear to me
the ball has changed position uh it was
deemed no penalty he would end up laying
it up but still that was boy a little
bit sketchy if you ask balls allowed to
oscillate as long as comes back into the
original position would have been a one-
shot penalty uh had it moved it was
deemed to have not moved we’ll have more
on that as we move along he chops it out
and then he would go on to make a bogey
meanwhile back at 17 on Lowry gorgeous
roll yeah like a thored racing to the
barn here at the end of the long day
nice birdie here at the
17th after beautiful chip got it up and
down at the 16th every single facet that
man’s game is right in order he’s more
like a Clyde down okay all right you’re
right but he a beautiful C he he can
absolutely
