tomorrow super super Sous oh gosh I got
a mustache too don’t I this is
brutal you like that don’t lie
no sure don’t opening round fun out
there today yeah it was a great time um
got off to a good start which was nice
and but I mean I’ve been hitting it nice
leading up to this week and it’s fun to
actually go out there and make some
birdies and had a couple chip-ins which
was nice as well and honestly one of the
more fun pairings that you can get with
Kevin and Mark out there so we had a
great time said you’ve been hitting it
well what you’ve been working on prior
to this week um what I’ve been working
on really nothing just filming a bunch
of YouTube videos and uh playing golf
with my brother and I’ve actually been
losing a lot on YouTube recently but I
feel like the I’ve been hitting it nice
it’s just the scores haven’t been
amazing and it’s nice to finally see a
number that looks pretty good on the
scorecard today mentioned kind of fun
pairing is it nice to kind of play
Island golf or maybe a little bit more
relax setting that you’re able to just
kind of feel comfortable out there I
mean looking at what we get to look at
here um it makes us like appreciate just
how amazing our job is uh whether you
shoot 63 73 83 uh coming to a place like
this it’s beautiful um and getting to
play golf so uh it’s weeks like this
albe it I know sitting back here looking
at it’s an opposite field event but um
still just having this opportunity to
come out here and do what we love and do
it on a venue like this it’s pretty
special more than a handful of birdies
out there and an eagle any stick out in
particular
um let’s see no I mean the the chip in
on 17 was fun um but yeah I guess I had
a chip in for Eagle as well so those
were those were fun moments but I mean I
drove it awesome I I feel like I maybe
hit one or two like off center strikes
but I think I hit every Fairway which
again out here it’s not like super
impressive I’m sure there’s going to be
a a lot of people that do that but um
still it’s nice just seeing the ball go
straight off the te and um few putts go
in few chips go in it’s a good day and
you have a new putter yeah I uh this is
week one with a lab in the bag and uh it
it cooperated it’s going to stay in
there for the forever future at this
point that’s what it feels like so what
kind of led to the switch and then that
one specific
um I I’ll be I just saw a lot of people
that switch into it and I was like man I
got to at least give it a try so um
George and I we were just like let’s and
and to be fair it’s a little bit
polarizing on the internet and a lot of
people love it or hate it or whatever
whether art science whatever it is um I
just wanted to try it and it feels good
it rolls relatively straight and so um
yeah and we’ve been working with uh Sam
and Zach and the guys over there at lab
as well for the last few weeks and so
just trying to like get it dialed in and
again I’m like much more of a field
player than than needing some sort of
scientific reason to put the ball well
but um yeah it’s been it’s been fun and
I just went with the more conventional
blade looking to kind of ease my way
into it um but George is using the df3
right now and he’s trying to get me to
switch but days like today is going to
make it difficult to switch for sure
than since you last congrats on a
growing family another girl yeah we got
our third girl um excited to get back
and have some dinner a little 8 week old
with yeah we brought them all here um
we’re staying with the Martins as well
so there’s a lot of girls and then um
Ben has a a little baby baby Ben that is
trying to fight for himself but he’s
only like six months right now so been
the activities like outside of the
course so far this uh a lot of pool a
lot of time in the water um they’ve gone
to the I think they went to the beach
today um beach pool and food a lot of
food I don’t really I don’t know how
life gets any better than that honestly
you mentioned the YouTube matches I’m
just kind of wondering the content game
can be a little bit thankless sometimes
you’re always thinking about what what
the next thing is or what what the next
collaboration could be I’m just
wondering do you and your brother take a
lot of pride in what you guys have
created because it seems like the
YouTube phenomenon in general has led to
a massive growth in golf yeah it’s um
it’s been it’s fun kind of being on the
on the front end of it because I don’t
think that wave is is done um and
honestly I’ve developed some
unbelievable friendships through it um a
lot like out here uh if you spend enough
time with people you um get to know them
and and I’ve made some of my closest
buddies just through the YouTube World
which is wild um but like as far as like
thinking what’s next I feel like the
biggest step that we’re trying and it’s
one yes collaborations are good but but
one how do we get more consistent and
how do we keep upping the production
value a little bit and put a better
product out there for people to watch
and um but at the end of the day George
and I were just going to be ourselves
and do what we normally would do we just
happen to have a a camera following us
around uh most of the time so um we’re
loving what we’re doing um I definitely
didn’t see 5 years ago when things were
going greater eight years however long
ago uh when things were going great out
here on the PJ tour I never could have
like imagined uh my life kind of taking
that that turn to where I feel honestly
a little more passionate about that than
I do this right now um and but it’s been
amazing uh getting to spend a lot of
time with George um I’m only going to
say that because he’s not here but
getting to spend a lot of time with him
is has been really special and fun and
it feels like we’re kids again which and
we’re mid-30s which is I guess a dream
awesome aw and lastly about the mustache
have to ask yeah it started with a beard
um to start the week and my wife uh she
doesn’t like when I have a beard so um I
said I would shave it off brought a
really bad razor down here and no
trimmer or anything so I tackled the
cheeks uh a few days ago and it was
brutal uh and then I went for the chin
yesterday um and now unfortunately I
think the stash is here to stay for the
rest of the week and I I sorry Elizabeth
if you’re in this but feel like we got
to and until until we shoot over par or
whatever then we’ll shave it off but
right now it’s it’s here to stay shout
