Andrew Novak his third
shot a lot of undulation in this green
he’s chipping uphill and then it’s
downhill the last oh about 8 feet like
that
wow what a
shot
Novak he was talking about his long back
swing he said you know what he said I
knew that was an asset and I never
wanted to change Jake gap’s back swing
that’s Kevin Dy dialing it up from long
distance at the
13th yeah this is Patrick Rogers his
third here on the par
five Just Clips it nicely off the top of
the grass and oh great distance control
there kurry wow man how impressive was
that that just put that if you’re having
trouble with your pitching just put that
one on repeat and try to copy what he
did right there that was beautiful Tony
Fen out nice approach here at eight
trying to get to 10 under par keep that
speed
up
the eth is giving up some birdies
today at the fifth Andrew Novak with a
long birdie putt from the front of the
green uphill in the first half of this
putt and it flattens
out whoa flattens out and then goes
down Novak continuing his excellent play
from Scottsdale a few weeks ago sure is
nice start to his round here on
Sunday
another one how about duck three
consecutive
birdies and gim is now at 12 under par
that is one heck of a front nine he’s
got going you start with a five and then
you rip off five birdies this is five
iron not afraid to work it both ways
perfect shot here would be to hold
something into that right to left wi
that’s what he’s trying to do see by
that finish pretty good line really good
line Sammy trying to put some pressure
on some big time pressure this to cut
the lead to
one and he does get that one to go so
all of a sudden Jake knp with that four
shot cushion about an hour ago it has
been a rocky start for Jake a solid one
for Sammy he is under par on the and
he’s only one shot back of the lead it’s
a little collection area on the right
side a Miss to the right gives you a
much more difficult shot then if you’re
short or just to the
left starting out to the right side
turning over this on a pretty good line
coming to the right edge of the green as
we speak that thing was pounded it
looked perfect the entire way could go
in follow aaki that close from an eagle
to get to 18
[Applause]
under oh beautiful landed on the down
slope he still kept it spin and had that
sound right yeah he looked like he was
standing over the ball for an awful long
time got it back from just 6′ 3 in the
closest shot to seven all day and it’s
an eagle for nap or for balamaki who’s
just
had his way with his hole all week
long so it’s a nice up and down for
birdie for nap but fak’s Eagle evens it
up just through seven holes it began the
day again four back this is 15 birdie
attempt for CT
pan he gets it to 13 under within
[Applause]
five
[Applause]
there are three par fives on this second
nine here at bante just saw Cameron
Champ turn in an
eagle we haven’t seen many putts for
birdie here
in there’s the latest and orando buries
it Carson young just a moment ago his
third shot at
18 first eagle of the day at the last
but it’s play very easy bonce oh he
clipped that nice with a lot of spin
yeah let’s take note of that whole
location it’s very very accessible you
never know a couple hours from now when
valaki and get there three could be in
play didn’t get it there and he had it
on line Brad boy he sure did it’s a
couple he’s left short not one Birdie on
the 10th hole today it’s only the second
hole on tour this year that didn’t see a
birdie during one of the
rounds the other was the first round at
Riviera the 12th pole
there
so a bogie for valaki and he drops one
back of Jake knp we’ll see if Jake knp
has right at the ship yeah this whole
location is up on top of a shelf here
it’s a small tiny platform it’s a pretty
big
green really hard to get it there there
we go from long range remember we last
saw him struggling with a n hit into the
penalty area made a double but comes
back with a birdie at 13 to get it back
to 13 under just a t touch over 60 yards
helping wind will take a little bit of
spin off
it m is that any good oh that is just
superb to hit it up that high down and
control the spin in the distance and
that makes Jake nap’s pitch much harder
yes the big man with a beautiful
touch back up there even at 18
under
looks like some of these putts that he
hits he hits out on the toe it looks
like there’s a little drop inside and
that ball hit out on the toe sometimes
you hit it out on the toe it can open
the face of the putter a little
bit so a swing goes in nap’s favor he’s
clear by
one good first kick kind of like that
what a shot Jake now half in there to a
couple feet through his weekends there
just kind of earning some money did it
for about 8 months funding some of his
mini tour entry fees and uh it made nap
believe that you know you can’t take all
of this for granted a nice birdie for
nap
there yep well done that uphill eye
helped him to have some spin another
little knocker yep I think he wanted it
just a little closer
what and you know they uh coming out of
their seats
there on the west
coast not bad quite a bit of work left
checked up on him pretty quick didn’t
it I was holding my breath look like it
was going to make it I’m sure coach
Ortega was crossing his fingers and his
toes there but what an up and down
again and that’s over it and it’s
sailing right a little bit wind should
help him now needs to hold on it’s not
getting helped by that wind atern it
hits the
path and again out of bounds over there
across that fence it has to get on the
other side of that fence sometimes on
the bottom of the fence it the ball can
be stopped he’s going to have to hit a
provisional ball here what a huge error
one so we indeed have a shot of alam
maki’s first t- ball and that is the out
of bounds fence but it’s not out of
bounds it has to be on the other side of
the fence to be out of bounds it does
not look like it perched underneath that
wire there that is playable but uh John
Wood I can’t imagine he can hit this
ball but you never know no there’s no
way to hit this ball absolutely no way
he’s gonna have to take it unplayable
nap is about to play from the bunker on
the other side of the Fairway yeah and
he knows exactly the situation he came
over asked what was going on just so he
knows how’s his lie look Woody it’s fine
y might be sitting down a little bit but
yeah especially the fact that he just
needs to lay this up somewhere in the
Fairway it’s a really lofted Club no no
attempt to go with the green
herei play over there really made it a
lot easier on map who just delivers the
layup
[Applause]
[Music]
beautiful looking
swing that’s what he
needed and when you’re Jake nap and you
spent all that time we talked about
being a bouncer and wondering if you’re
ever going to have this opportunity not
only to win on the PGA tour but to have
the kind of cushion he has right now to
go up with his good pal Mike Stevens
here and enjoy it every step of the way
and now the stage is reserved for Jake
[Music]
naap this would be so
sweet
[Applause]
and it is indeed nap time in
Mexico this is going to be a really
popular win on the PJ tour this win for
Jake na and I think he’s going to feel
better about himself that he won without
his best stuff he had to dig deep Dan
and he did it pretty up and downs on the
back
[Applause]
nine I saw Jake this morning he was
excited that mcken flew in from Canada
you never know how that’s going to go
right what a moment for them both most
important people in your life living the
dream living the dream the LTD at the
end of the N time handle on his social
[Applause]

  1. PGA Tour look like LIV golf. And LIV golf look like PGA tour. I don’t know any of this players on pga tour anymore.

  2. Golf channel and pga tour highlights is garbage….. fkn guy has one of the best swings we’ve ever seen and they barely show him 😂

  3. Maybe not always the biggest names on the pga tour but the talent is there from top to bottom…. Congratulations 🎉🎈🍾🎊

  4. LIV currently is a total flop. Very small amount of viewers. No revenue. The PGA TOUR is still what golf is and always has been. Which is history, tradition, the grind of making the cut and four rounds to the winners circle. The depth of the field has ALWAYS been the winner in golf. Tiger Woods tied the most wins ever, 82, and has the Highest wins rate percentage. And for all of his greatness that equals 22% of his starts he won, 78% he lost. And don’t forget that’s number one all time. Even if John Rahm, or Bryson DeChambeau were in this tournament with that deep field there’s no guarantee they would be the winner. Matsuyama last week was amazing and congrats to Jake. 19 under…..these guys are elite golfers.
